Wanted to try something new for the both of us. We decided on Kraft House No. 5 and it did not disappoint. We both started out with a beverage and appetizer. Our server was so kind and great at his job. The draft list had some really good options and the menu was super difficult to choose from. There were so many good options! We got the fish and chips and the half chicken with risotto. Hands down the best meals we’ve had at a restaurant in quite a long time. The atmosphere was super chill. We had Liz H as our waitress. And she was friendly. She did steer several of us wrong on the menu though. I specifically asked her if the mashed potatoes had skins on them, and she guaranteed me they did not. Well they did. They were full of skins and disgusting. Food is so expensive here though, that I got a to go container for them and brought him home to my husband who ate them. She told two people at are table that the dry rub wings were not spicy, and they both said that they were so spicy they could hardly eat them. One person had a hair in her food , which the waitress quickly returned to the kitchen and offered her something different . She was apologetic and handled it very well . Prices are a little high for what you get, food is hit or miss on taste. Three people got the German pretzel burgers, and they all love them! The Buffalo mac and cheese was also a hit. The Fried Chicken was moist and juicy, but flavorless and shockingly it's a chicken leg quarter ( which is the cheapest of all the chicken options) and not breasts. $24 for a leg quarter with two sides. They have good iced tea, and our waitress was right on the refills. The decor is pretty neat, I especially like the upside down canoe on the ceiling with the lights. It is a very small restaurant, so it fills up quickly, however there are a few seats outside as well if there is a parking lot attached, I'm a pickier eater, so the menu did not have options for me to choose from, as I don't think I'll get the fried chicken again, so I don't know that I'll come back.

The veggie omelet was great- 10/10. The potato chucks were decent, too. The gravy did not taste good however the biscuits were nice and soft. The food was good once we got it, but I will say a little overpriced compared to other places that are similar. Overall, the atmosphere was nice and food was good, but service was lacking (at least for us). We've heard they have great brunch, so I'm surel we'll give them another shot one day.

First of all, the place was hopping and I was glad to get a reservation! Second, the staff were SO NICE. We talked to our waiter, another who stopped by to talk about his volunteering with the zoo (why were in town), AND the owner. Everyone was very friendly and outgoing, and checked on our table often. On to the food... everything was perfect. My daughter chose the fried chicken and ate every bite of it. My husband got the steak frites and the flat iron steak was cooked perfectly and absolutely tender. I got a chopped salad with steak added on and my steak was perfect, too. The lemon poppyseed dressing was my favorite, though our server (Jacob) brought me a backup side of ranch in case I didn't love the poppyseed. The restaurant has a small but excellent wine list and good cocktails. They were quick to refill my daughter's soda. If we were local, this would 100% be our go-to restaurant. We started with the Poutine and the brisket and cheese curds made this dish. I had the pork carnitas bowl and my partner got the smash burger. Both dishes were outstanding.
