Will change ratings after I come back for the food. We arrived around 12:45 PM on Saturday. We waited 20 minutes in line to finally order, just to be told that the kitchen has too many orders to prepare so they need to stop taking orders for 15 minutes (still okay for coffee and pastries). The solution we were offered was to wait somewhere and come back in 15 minutes, also the "15 minutes" was not guaranteed. We said we can order now and come back to pick up whenever it is ready . Not something they can control obviously but this was a poor start unfortunately. We ordered an assortment of their classic plates, most of which came out unusually quick. The meatballs, which I presumed would have taken longest, came out quite fast. To no surprise, they were almost icy cold on the inside, and fairly flavourless. The nachos were similar, cold melted cheese, and a random half hunk of a pepper in the bowl. Bravas unfortunately yet again, were cold. The nachos also came a lot later than the rest of our food so the nachos being bad was no surprise. There was almost no other customers, probably less than 20 of us in the building, so there was no possible excuse for food being rushed and terribly executed. Calamari and wings were very nice, and actually warm, like cooked food is meant to be. Might be a good idea to give you “chefs” a thermometer. We had planned an extended evening of nice food and drinks but unfortunately market bar came crashing down on those plans. Unlikely to return, standards are too low for our liking, lots of room for improvement with no obvious intent to make it. Shame.

We visited on Saturday and went for a sit in meal, we could absolutely understand the hype! We were served by Jemma and Neha who did an excellent job at helping us pick which dishes to choose and make us feel welcome right away. There is no dedicated Vegan menu but Jemma informed us that any of the mains can be made plant-based aside from the cream based options such as Pasanda/Korma. This means there is a huge choice for Vegans here and everything we ordered was delicious! We started with the Vegetable Pakora which was perfectly cooked with a crispy and beautifully spiced batter. On Jemma's advice I ordered the Vegetable Biryani. I was able to swap the curry sauce for one of the mains sauces, I chose the Jalfrezi. This was one of the best Biryanis I have ever had, extremely flavourful and packed full of different veg giving it a great texture. The Jalfrezi was hot, with a rich tomato based flavour. Also we tried the Chana Masala which once again beats the others I have recently tasted. It had a slightly tangy and sweet flavour which really made it stand out. Along side this we had the Stuffed Paratha which was lovely, just what you need to mop up your sauce 😁 Overall this was a fantastic meal: the service was brilliant; food, super tasty and the price was extremely reasonable. If you are in Dundalk and want Indian food you need to try it! Can't wait to get back 😊

Blood orange fizz and Chardonnay went down a treat, whilst the food itself was brilliantly presented and full of taste and different flavours. The atmosphere is nice, the place very clean and you can see the owners as well as every staff member hold themselves to a very high standard. The pricess are also fair, we had a starter each, followed by a soup, a big main each, sides, desserts, coffees and a few rounds of drinks. However last nights experience did not live up to previous occasions. This may have been a one off and time will tell. The food was not of the same standard and we later discovered there is a new chef, which explains the lowered standard of food. A new waitress was too full on and was a distraction from enjoying a quiet private romantic meal. We may return when the original chef returns and I am certain we will then again have the same fantastic food experience that we have been accustomed to.
