Most everything was Indian food and the salads and sides they did have were bland and unappealing with some glazed over looking as if they had been sitting out far too long. In no way was the dinner even close to what you would expect from a Taj hotel. Any restaurant on the road could do a better job. The deserts were also awful with no real Thanksgiving desserts. They could have a least thrown in a pumpkin pie. In no way was the food, cleanliness of the buffet or the service even close to a 5 star hotel… and the chef should quit and go back to school as obviously he has no real international cooking experience and certainly not enough to be preparing food at a Taj. We were planning to book a few days at the hotel in December but after seeing the hotel, grounds and experiencing the disgraceful food, we would never consider staying here. The entire evening was extremely unpleasant and a huge disappointment and some of the worst food I’ve had in India. For $500 a night they should be ashamed.

Was initially planning on visiting another restaurant but our taxi driver recommended the Fisherman’s Wharf for our first meal in Goa and couldn’t be more grateful for that! The food stood out authentic and yummy, however the entire lunch experience was well curated with the warmth and hospitality of the team. Situated in the heart of the Panjim City. Lot of parking area in and around the hotel. The staff from the security at the main Gate to the restaurant were very welcoming and excellent. We were here for the Yumcha menu that usually happens on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. They have a set of Veg and Non Veg Menu that you can choose from and can have unlimited from either one along with different flavoured teas. And I'm so glad we did. Right from the ambience, the service to the food, everything turned out to be just perfect. We started with the Konjee crispy mushrooms were nice and crispy, without being chewy and the sauce in which they were sautéed wasn't too spicy either. Golden sweet corn soup was the usual soup with corn and other veggies and thankfully, not too thick in texture. Place has rustic theme with perfect temperature control! Extremely clean toilets and spacious dining area makes it comfortable dining experience. Thali was ok - but it doesn’t live up to price tag.
