He was warm, funny, and really tried his best to make everything perfect. I do think it was a particular staff member as the other staff were friendly. Food was fine, tasty and piping hot. Be aware service charge is added at 12.5% routinely which I wouldn’t usually have any issue with but the grumpy staff member arrived with the bill and card machine simultaneously so there was no time to check/review. Felt rushed by grumpy staff member which is a shame as I don’t think this is reflective of all staff.

The menu has a decent amount of choice and all at good prices. The food is all cooked fresh to order and is generous in size (one starter is easy big enough for 2 people). The staff are ignorant and abusive towards customers. The apparent floor manager was walking around telling people a chef has gone home as his dad is dying in hospital and telling customers that she doesn't care if they have to wait. Took a hour and 30 mins to get my apparent medium cooked fillet stake that was more like a old chewed welly boot. It then took 30 mins for this so called manager to come over and ask if I want it re cooking or something else. The food came back out another 35 mins later and this time it was bloody raw and look like they had grilled it for 20 seconds each side. When I told her this she just said its not her problem and walked off. Then had the cheek to ask why I was walking out without paying for my meal. I then decided on the beef curry with mash, mac n cheese bites, calamari and sweet potato fries. You won't be disappointed. The curry isn't going to reach home levels of flavour and tenderness in the beef, but it's a good size portion with a good amount of beef and a rich gravy. The calamari is crispy and delicious with jerk mayo. We had an extra pot as its lush with the sweet potato fries. They're crispy but soft. Makes sweet potato way more yummy like this. And the mac n cheese bites are a good option for anyone missing the fish fritters. They're crispy and crunchy with a nice flavoursome and soft mac n cheese in the middle. Not dried out like many mac n cheese bites can be. Overall a great experience plus 2 for 1 on cocktails until 7pm so I enjoyed 2 passion martinis made with vodka which were delicious.

You will find the restaurant in the heart of town at the beginning of station lane. The food is Italian with all your favourite dishes including pizza , pasta , mains , fish , desserts and regular specials. We’ve been visiting Da Vinci’s consistently over his time in charge and are never disappointed with the food and the service. It’s a fabulous local restaurant and the prices on the menu reflect that which is why it’s not hard to see that they have so many local regulars. Da Vinci’s also hosts singers on Friday evening’s and themed music Saturday brunches to once again bring the community together. Craig is by himself in the kitchen but has an assistant on those many busy times. The front of house is led by Giovanni who couldn’t be more friendly and welcomes you with open arms. If anyone ever asks me for a restaurant recommendation I will always mention Da Vinci’s and the feedback I receive is nothing but positive. In the last five years restaurants have come and gone yet this fabulous Italian restaurant goes from strength to strength. Even during Covid he helped the local area by supplying pasta and pizza. You could also collect or have delivered food during those times. Da Vinci’s is not only a credit to Hornchurch but to the Essex dining scene itself. So yes I would highly recommend a visit and I for one will definitely keep on giving my support in the future. Our latest visit was on Saturday to celebrate our anniversary and Craig and Giovanni did not let us down. We enjoyed a fantastic lunch including the amazing dishes on the specials board all washed down with a lovely Sauvignon from the Anno Domini Vineyard. STARTER - Here we chose the Calamari and from the specials a Burrata with a tomato and orange salad. MAINS - My wife chose her favourite dish the Linguine Vongole while I loved the fabulous Mahi Mahi with spinach , creamy mash and a sun-dried tomato sauce that was absolutely delicious. DESSERT - After we enjoyed the Tiramisu and the Torte Della Nonna Craig kindly sent us the dessert from the specials a Carpaccio of Pineapple , lime and chilli syrup with a orange sorbet to perfectly end an amazing anniversary lunch. Thank You Craig and Giovanni for a fabulous way to celebrate our anniversary and look forward to seeing you again soon.

We went to Da Vinci's to see if we were able to have our wedding reception there. We spoke with the owners Craig and Annelisa who were amazing, they are so down to earth, listened to what we wanted and adapted their menu etc to fit our view. We booked about a year in advance. Through out the year we visited a few times and spoke by email. They answered all our questions and made sure they had all the information they needed too. Fast forward to nearer the day. They checked in and confirmed everything and asked if there was anything else we needed etc. They happily let us set up all our decor the evening before as well as helping us set up (we made our own decor and this helped massively for timings on our day). Our day has finally arrived and they made sure drinks flowed, tables were kept clear and the food. OMFG (excuse the french) it was delicious. Homemade and the effort was clearly there both visibly and in taste. The staff were awesome!! A truly lovely restaurant run by a beautiful couple who we truly can not thank enough for allowing us the privilege of having our reception at their restaurant. Our wedding day was perfect. Craig, Annelisa and the team played a huge part in that. Forever grateful. 💙💍

It’s a bit on the pricy side - so best prepare your wallet. They do have a healthy selection of meals that will satisfy all. Personally I don’t eat fish because of the smell but despite one of us ordering the sea bass, I didn’t even smell it. The staff is super helpful and always checking up on you to ensure all is good. The bill comes with a default gratuity of 10% which is fair considering the service we received. They facilitated moving us to a different table when we requested - which is subject to table sitting availability. Whole experience was fantastic. Richard and staff were really lovely and welcoming. Food was amazing. We went for lunch but ordered off the main menu which came out piping hot and was the best Chinese we have tasted. We got most of it boxed up to take home for dinner as ordered a few dishes to try. Honestly, I have no idea why, particularly on Instagram. Sadly, our experience didn’t live up to the expectations at all. The food was incredibly bland and lacked any real flavour. I’m genuinely confused as to why this place is so highly recommended because, truthfully, it had no flavour whatsoever. The chicken curry was completely tasteless, the sweet & sour chicken was overcooked, and the beef in black bean sauce was so chewy it bordered on leathery. The chicken chow mein? Just plain noodles with zero seasoning or depth. Portion sizes were small especially the rice dishes and absolutely not worth the price. The only thing nice were the prawn crackers, which honestly says a lot. To top it off, the tiger prawn appetiser has to be pre-ordered and costs £25 for a single portion the same as paying for one person at Cosmo, where you can help yourself as many times as you like. Honestly, the social media hype oversells this place massively. Do not fall into the trap the misrepresentation of this restaurant online is honestly wild. We definitely got caught up in the buzz and wanted to see for ourselves what the fuss was about, but it simply wasn’t worth it. The restaurant is run well with the service, staff was friendly and the place was clean. However I have to be honest that we didn't think the food was overly great - the crispy chilli beef was more on the chewy side and the seafood soup had some unmixed gelatin which was not pleasant to find. The pork starter dumplings was oksy. The special fried rice and the dessert was very good and maybe the only parts of the menu we had that we would recommend. It was reasonably priced for 2 people.

I’ve been wanting to try this place out for a while & I’m quite disappointed after trying it. I ordered from Deliveroo and the food came quite quickly so no issues there. Everything looked appetising but the Nugfather burger was missing the mafia element. I couldn’t really taste the flavour of the chicken breast itself, it definitely needed more salt in the coating. The coating itself had a nice crunchy texture and a good colour. All I could taste was the condiments & I just don’t think the ketchup worked. I think slaw and a good dollop of mayo or chipotle sauce would have done the job, as the slaw is tasty. I got the hot loaded skinny fries and well they didn’t last long because there wasn’t much of them 😂. Again, serious lack of salt, chips were quite oily and soggy and didn’t taste of anything. The cheese was well cheese, although the jalapeños had a good kick and seemed fresh. I didn’t even know there was meant to be Tabasco sauce in the fries until I reread the menu. Maybe the Tabasco has the day off on Sunday because there were none in my fries. The saving grace to the meal was the Biscoff donugs but honestly how do you get small sugar balls wrong? I will say though it would be better to provide a little tub of dipping sauce instead of a drizzle of sauce. I think the concept is good and I love that they have halal/vegan options but they just need to work on some attention to details. Also I think for the price you pay, the portion sizes should definitely match up to that. I won’t be having it again anytime soon but I’m willing to try it in the future with some tweaks.

The ambience at the TGIs is good with comfy seats and cool props everywhere. But, I think the food is getting v expensive (surf and turf is approaching £30) for what equates to pretty average quality. I ordered the surf and turf and I got exactly 2 smallish prawns for the surf bit! I also ordered my steak medium but it was well done. The whole meal was dry and over cooked , with a small portion of fries for almost 30 quid… Although, my partner’s food in the photo was definitely better than mine so it may be luck of the draw almost. Really good selection of drinks and cocktails, but I don’t think they pour much alcohol in them! Service was good though, and the food came quite quickly, but it did take a while for a server to be free when we first came in. Good location too, next to the Brewery with a car park and excellent Romford transport links. Very busy, but we were well looked after by staff. We had drinks and some of the roasts (chicken, beef and veggie wellington). Tasty food and reasonably priced compared to other pubs I’ve been to for roasts (under 20 quid at least). They also didn’t have the nut roast (which two of our group wanted) which is why they get four instead of five stars. Service was unexpectedly slow considering we were the only people there. Was surprised not to be offered a lunch menu - only a main menu which was quite expensive. Best turkish cuisine I ever had so far. Ordered the chef specials for two’s and four’s, massive portions even though there were 6 adults (total). If you can’t finish your meal you can get a takeaway, so you can have that for lunch the next day. The food is simply outstanding — rich in flavour, beautifully presented, and clearly crafted with care. We started with the halloumi and prawn skewers, which were delicious. We thought it was a good amount of sandwiches, the scones with jam and cream were delicious and the mini cakes were also nice. It would have been nice to have been given a choice of what we could have, but, I suppose I could have asked! My daughter doesn't like tea (I'm working on it), so she had a hot chocolate, which was very nice, and I was pleased to get three fill cups of tea from my pot. The interior of the premises was nicely presented and clean, including the toilet, which is accessible. Level access throughout and good layout of tables and chairs, making it a good place to visit for wheelchair users. Staff were friendly and polite. We went on a Sunday and it wasn't too busy, plus you get free parking in the Brewery on Sundays (and there is lots of parking available if you go up into the multi-storey section, upper levels). I did initially think the cost of the afternoon was expensive, but having looked at the cost of afternoon tea at other places, I'd say the Patesserie Valerie Afternoon is actually very good value and definitely something I would do again. Both my daughter and I were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed it. FYI, review title was what my daughter said when I asked her for her opinion of the experience!

We ordered the fish and the lasagne and was disappointed. We've visited the pub before and eaten here, sad to say will not be return for the food. Absolutely blown away by the food! This may well be the best Indian I've ever had, the classics are all there on the menu, but the Chef's signature and the Razza specials were great to see on the Menu. Started with a couple of papadums and was instantly impressed with just the sauces on offer! We shared a mixed platter off of the charcoal pit starters, and a crispy fried seafood off of the street food starters, both utterly delicious but we probably could have gotten away with just sharing the one, as the portion sizes definitely aren't to be sneered at! I had the Murgh Masala for mains, with my other-half having the lamb Acharie, with a pilau rice each and a pershwari naan to share. Absolutely amazing, genuinely some of the nicest food I've had, let alone curries/indian food. Both of us struggled to finish our meals, but only due to the portion sizes! The usual drink fare is available, cobra beer, decent wine list, but you're definitely not coming here for the drinks, but you HAVE to come here for the food! Staff also all helpful, happy and welcoming, the place is perfectly laid out, well presented and modern, but for how good the food is they could get away with the place being a tip and I'd still be back! So glad we randomly chose to pop in here, because we've definitely found a new gem of a restaurant we'll definitely return to!

This restaurant is at the entrance to Raphael’s Park and overlooks the lake. It is a great place for a coffee , a drink , a quick lunch and also Private Events. When we arrived we received a delightful welcome from the team before being seated at our table. Once settled it was nice of owner Megha to come over for nice chat. The restaurant had recently undergone a refurbishment and I have to say it did look much more stylish. We then ordered a drink while we looked at the menu which has a very good variety of cuisine from Korean , Chinese , Indian , fish , steaks , burgers , dessert and a Roast on Sundays. We started by ordering a few dishes from the Small Plates including Korean Chicken Wings which were delicious , the heavenly Keema Bao Buns and the Sichuan Spicy Pork Dumplings. For our main courses we went for the Pork Belly Sunday Roast and the New Lamb Chops with garlic mash , broccoli and chimichurri which was an absolute delight. I then enjoyed the Salted Caramel and Chocolate Brownie that was sweet and chocolate heaven as was the vanilla ice cream. We finished with a coffee to bring our lunch to an end. I would definitely recommend a visit to Crem Kitchen because for one the food is great , the staff are very friendly and it’s a great place for couples , families and private parties. They also have a lovely terrace so when the sun does come out you can enjoy outside dining overlooking the lake. We were promptly seated and given enough space for our pram too. From the menu we ordered Bao Buns (1x keema and 1x fried chicken), Korean wings, calamari and fries. The food was faultless, absolutely delicious and a fair portion size. A credit to the chef. Highly recommend the wings and the keema bao bun. Service was a little slow as it took around 20-30mins for our order to be taken despite the terrace not being too busy at our time of visit and 3 waitstaff visibly inside where no one was seated. Staff however were very polite and accommodating. My son needed a nappy change and did not feel comfortable changing him in the changing room as it wasn't clean. I had to wipe down everything whilst he was crying and the changing station was extremely low and angled so had to try to stop him rolling off with one hand and change with the other. Gorgeous venue with great food. Only complaint is service efficiency and baby changing toom cleanliness. I would revisit and recommend to others.

Firstly, we liked the decor - the very unique lamps on each table looked great and my daughter loved the coloured lights option! The restaurant has a very welcoming atmosphere. The seafood dishes were large and suited the taste of my seafood-lover mother. Looking around at other tables, the food they ordered also looked just like the pictures they presented in the menu. Loved the atmosphere and decor, it was clean and inviting and felt like the management defiantly take care of the place. We ordered a platter for 2 which was very generous, the medium flavour on the grilled chicken was just perfect! I'd recommend this place for couples, families and parties, if your going there on a Sunday you can park for free at the brewery car park which is just a short walk from the restaurant. Called the restaurant to explain and struggled to get my point across as he was constantly talking over me refusing to listen. After a lot of arguing he relented and agreed to send another order of chicken in exchange for the undercooked batch we first received. The whole time he was very arrogant and kept interrupting me, saying their priority is "to protect themselves". We initially ordered at 6pm. Called to complain about the chicken at 6.45pm. At 9.35pm, almost 3 hours later, the replacement chicken arrived. It's Wednesday, not a busy night, and I live 10 mins walk away. I threw the chicken in the bin, sickened that if they could be so small minded to delay the delivery of my food like this I wouldn't put it passed them to deliver tainted food too. When ordering online- three deliveries been lost handed over to the different address , when calling the restaurant we been explained that the driver been trying to call the door as well as the number but no one answered, refunds been never issued although requested. Food never arrives on time and you have to wait for 1.5-2 hours after placing an order. Perhaps they treat you nice if you’re a Bengali. As I said food is delicious. Just make sure you collect to save you the stress of not getting your order on time or not getting it at all.

The service was exceptional, constantly smiling and being personable, making sure we were all okay throughout the evening.
