However the size of the rooms can not handle the diners. The amount of staff cannot handle the demand of customers at the level expected. We asked for our food to be boxed when we was ready to leave. We had lots of food left. They kindly obliged. The next day we realised they did not add our salad, which had not been touched by us so a full portion still, was not boxed. Disappointed us this. When we arrived several diners waiting to be seated. We was seated late. Food arrived with a hair in it. It was exchanged but as a matter of process. No human apology or understanding. We ordered a full range of the dishes available and all were delicious, presented well and on the table in golod time. The staff were present constantly making sure we were well looked after and all had drinks etc. All the food was amazing and i would delifintely reccommend this place to anyone looking for a fabulous night with an amazing atmosphere and good vibes. 5 stars for everything and a huge thank you to all the staff who made our night special.

We were a little disappointed and this reflected in my review. Karen the manager replied and apologised for the service we had received and asked us to come back to Jarmin. We were a little reluctant but agreed. I cannot fault the service we received last night. The meat was cooked how we liked it and it was plentiful. The only service pointer would be that tap water should be offered proactively once the customer hasn’t ordered mineral water. Anticipating that need rather than having us ask for it in an already busy restaurant would be a nice touch. And the only food complaint is that I found the Evuna Paella to be quite tasteless. The mussels and prawns are nicely proportioned but the punch from the garlic, tomato and smoked paprika was somewhat lacking. A great paella also has some crust to it and there was none of that, but that is the icing on the cake. Again, to put it in context though; the pig cheeks, mushroom & truffle oil croquettas and the tomato bread all blew my socks off.

It was just us for best part of 2 hours and we loved the food, chilled pace since we were the only customers. We weren’t in a rush, they didn’t feel rushed considering we had starters, mains and dessert. Technically, they were on time. It was fine dining with customer service at its best. The rest of the staff were equally impressive, swiftly clearing plates and maintaining a seamless, high standard of service throughout the evening. And the food—absolutely phenomenal. I’ve never been a fan of gnocchi, but the Gnocchi alla Papera (handmade gnocchi with slow-cooked shredded duck in a rich San Marzano tomato sauce) completely changed my mind. They were so light and tender, like biting into soft pillows—truly unforgettable. The Supplì Zucca were another standout. Rich, comforting, and perfectly balanced. It’s places like this that set a new standard of quality—after experiencing it, anything else you try elsewhere just never quite lives up to how it should taste. Very cute and well maintained plus a few tiny details which were really great to see - playful chopstick rests on the table, bamboo place settings and even a very clean Japanese style loo! There were only a few tables taken on our visit but it’s a tiny place with 16 covers so maybe make a reservation at the weekend. The waitress was helpful but maybe could do with a little more knowledge on the dishes served but this is a minor point. We opted for a large mixed platter of sushi and sashimi with a request for no meat which was accommodated without any fuss. We also ate salt and pepper fries with spicy mayo whilst awaiting the platter which I have to say were amazing. I visited Asuke on a whim before I went to walk the Bridgewater Canal. I was greeted by Evandro who was a great host during my duration there. I was well looked after with some green tea (unlimited), a thorough explanation of the menu and enthusiastically answered my questions in regards to the sushi. I ordered the miso soup and chicken karaage for starters and following Evandro's recommendations, salmon/tuna nigiri, spicy salmon roll, Asuke special roll and the beef roll. The miso soup was how it should be whilst the karaage (chicken thigh pieces) had been marinated well, had a lovely golden thin, crisp batter and were delicious. So much that I wish you could buy a KFC bargin bucket size amount of it. Onto the sushi. The fish tasted excellent and fresh. With both the salmon/tuna rolls pairing very well with the additional ingredients in their respective rolls. The slices for the nigiri were great sizes and the well seasoned rice was nicely highlighted here. Rather surprisingly the beef roll, which I was apprehensive with but damn it worked really well. Now onto the second best thing, a bonafide bloody Japanese toilet! Just come to use that if you've never been lucky enough to experience it. Absolutely Sensational. All in all, would I come back? Yeah man, absolutely. Great team doing simply good and delicious things at this independent sushi gaff. A most welcomed part of the Altrincham food scene.

The stickiness of the tables was awful. The tables felt like it had toffee all over. Ordered 3 items, didn't have to wait long until one of the orders arrived which was the CFB, i was disappointed as the description mentioned lots of brownie chunks to realise its two big scoops of ice cream (really nice good quality ice cream) with only 4 pieces of little brownies at the bottom of the cup which you have to eat through the ice cream to get to. The waiter came 10 mins later to mention that our second order of Berry Pavlova isn't available (not sure the reason behind not being able to tell us straight away), the waiter suggested to replace it with another item, for which we chose the Cornflake Tart which wasn't available either. We settled for the sticky Toffee Pudding which was brilliant and my wife loved it. The third item to arrive was a waffle with our choice of toppings however what arrived was a waffle from the set menu that's pretty far from what we had in mind, the waiter quickly realised it was another table's order and my order went to theirs, it's good to mention at this point there were only 2 tables in the whole place as it was pretty late. We had to wait an extra 10 mins for the order, however it was well worth it as the waffle was light and the toppings spot on. The place does provide great dessert but it only gets 3 stars as i believe big part of food experience comes from the service and because it was my birthday and i had to spend a good chunk of it writing this review. I doubt i will be visiting soon but i hope they do their best to tackle those issues as it can definitely make it one of the best dessert places in Manchester.

Considering it's only been open 13 days, it's running very smoothly, efficiently and professionally. The staff were attentive and polite, & explained all the varieties on offer. The place was immaculately clean and lovely and spacious. The colour scheme is warm, pink and purples with a shower of golden lights clustered in the middle of the room. Very modern and chic. We spoke to one of the owners, who explained they have their own recipes, made for them locally by a father and son company, the cakes are delivered by a local team also, and in fact, the furnishings were all bought from local suppliers, so this Dessert restaurant is supporting local businesses which is wonderful! What I really liked about the place was, the owners are helping young people with limited abilities to be able to find work by specifically employing them and giving them a chance to learn and shine. Very commendable indeed. I also spoke to the head of marketing there, a lovely lady called Harriet. She explained to us that they intend to extend their vegan range very soon, which will please my daughters and I, and that they will be opening for much longer hours from Monday 13th March, so I can imagine that breakfast there will be very exciting. There is no licensed bar, but they have a mouth-watering array of cold and hot drinks. We didn't try the amazing looking cakes this time, but will next time, we had an ice cream each and a hot chocolate and we were invited to try tasters of a few of the other ice creams too. The ice creams were incredibly tasty. They are mixed using cream and butter, with different flavours in each one, which is a novel way of making them and it creates a creamier, richer and tastier ice cream. Some contain fruits and some contain nuts and it all works really well together. I have to say that I haven't tasted ice cream better, and I have tried a lot of different ice creams, in different countries too. Prices are very reasonable. You get what you pay for. There are highchairs available, wheelchair access too. The atmosphere was lovely, the pace of the service just right. We really enjoyed our visit, and will call again there soon. On the advice of good friends of ours, Jacent & Tina Rabbitt, we headed off towards Dunham Massey to a pub called ‘The Axe & Cleaver’ they were definitely true to their word as the place was an old Country pub with outstanding quality cuisines….. the pub itself is pristine and tastefully decorated. The staff were very attentive from start to finish, many thanks to Denise, Neil and Lace you were all professional, polite and all given with a great service. Waiting time on the food was just cooking time but we would have waited much longer on the food that was received…… Presentation was perfect, all the food was homemade and was piping hot…..the menu was varied, there was also a specials board, it was very hard to choose what we wanted as all the dishes on the menu shouted out….’eat me!… No eat me!!!😳 Neil ended up choosing from the specials board of homemade Chicken, cheese and leek pie with roasted asparagus, chunky chips and rich glossy gravy…. Neil looked on the website and had chosen Toad in the hole with bubble and squeak mash… then changed his mind in the last second…. I was wanting the mixed grill from the website but ended up with good ole fish and chips, tartare sauce all homemade, mushy peas along with scampi, bloomer bread & butter and a side of onion rings to share…..you couldn’t find fault in anything, the food was totally delicious and fresh. We’ve decided we will have to return for our website choices another day!!!… not that we need an excuse!!!…. So! Yes, we will return to this fabulous establishment in the very near future. We were sat straight away it was a nice cozy place. We ordered drinks and didn't wait long for them to arrive. Guinness was lovely btw. We ordered the food, 1 starter, 2 mains to start. Starter although was lovely it was NOT worth over £7! i ordered the pan fried prawns, it turned up in a tiny bowl with 4 prawns in it with some tomato sauce of sorts, 2 leaves of garnish and 2 small pieces of bread, I had to ask for butter that was so hard it destroyed the bread. When finished out lady server came to clear the plate and asked us to confirm "is it still only 1 main your having?" We confirmed it was 2 we ordered. She put the second on the order. If that had just turned up, one main meal, we would not have been happy. When the main meals did turn up it looked and smelt incredible. My lamb shank shephards pie looked great. As i was loading the plate i could tell that the cheese was melted via a microwave as it was tough and rubbery, when I took a bit the food was so hot, the roof of mouth blistered, it was rediculas. I had to wait over 5 minutes before it was cooled enough to try and enjoy. The lamb was pretty much fell off the bone, it was in with mint gravy which was also lovely. My partner had the chicken pie, she said it was lovely. When we finished, the table was cleared and we asked for the desert menu, when we ordered the desert, the server, the server which took the initial order laughed off mistake from the main ordered saying, I've definitely ordered 2 this time. The desert arrived and again, sticky toffee pudding and custard was heated in their nuclear reactor making it wayy above an acceptable temperature to eat, even 5/10 minutes after it arrived i was only able to start eating it. To summerise, the place was lovely, the staff friendly friendly, i would advise our male server to stop trying to be a comedian and make sure the orders are correct, as while there, he was the same with the table behind and also messed part of their order up too. The food was absolutely lovely, tast wise, but the starter needed more of it to be worth the money, and try and not use the microwave as much while heating food or melting cheese. We had 3 drinks, 1 starter, 2 mains and 2 deserts was almost £85, we were happy that they accepted blue light card which saved almost £10. See the pictures and make your own decision. I gave the food a 3 purely cause of the use of microwave making the food so so hot it uncomfortable to eat. Will I return? Yes.

The google listing states dogs allowed. When we arrived we were told dogs were only allowed on the patio, thats what dog friendly means. I was travelling back from Scotland, meeting 2 sets of family on the way. We all came together here, it was impractical to go anywhere else, so my dog had to stay in my van. It was also November and 5 degrees outside so we were not going to sit outside and eat. We sat inside and ate. Thefood was good, as was the choice of food, but having go to check on the pup every 20- 30 mins was a faff. The room also got very noisy as we were sat next to a large table of folk. We planned our meeting around this venue so we could all meet up and also so family could meet my dog for the first time. Whatever you feel about allowing dogs in pubs, we asked and they confirmed we could bring them, their listing also states dogs allowed. We would not have visited otherwise and I ended up having a distracted meal whilst having to go back and forth checking on a young dog who hasn't been left in a car for that length of time. The pub is the perfect country pub for walks, surrounded by fields. It's perfectly feasible to have an area inside that allows dogs. Or, you know, just say you don't allow them when asked.

After reviewing the menu, having a pre-dinner drinks, receiving and eating the meal I asked for a 10 minute break before ordering a dessert and after dinner drinks. I was then informed by the manager that the table had been re-booked in 25 minutes time, therefore if I wanted anything further there was basically 25 minutes to complete my order and eat up. Having held my fathers wake previously in the pub and dropped in for drinks from time to time, I found the managers attitude not particularly nice so kindly requested the bill, duly paid and went elsewhere to complete dessert and drinks. Plenty of seating inside and out. Lovely local beer selection and good traditional atmosphere. Ate on a July Saturday as table of five, eating mains and puddings. Every main was absolutely fantastic! I ate the chicken, leek and bacon in creamy white wine sauce. This really was delicious! The kids had the chicken and chorizo pasta, with the kitchen making a smaller portion for my youngest, which was good. This was fantastic again - the sauce was really tasty with plenty of meat too. For dessert it was, unfortunately, a little underwhelming after the 5* mains. I ordered the Belgium waffle. While the Cheshire ice cream was great and very generous in portion, the waffle was poor - I suspect one of those generic packet/frozen ones that are all too common sadly. My eldest had chocolate cake, which looked lovely and rich and youngest had ice cream. The staff were really lovely up to and during the meal but, after the bill came, we were left hanging around for quite a while trying to pay. Definitely will return as the main dishes were amazing and want to try some of the other menu choices.

There was a lovely bar area where dogs were allowed to be which had a gorgeous log fire burning. I was disappointed that there was only one vegan main meal on the menu but fortunately it was absolutely delicious - it was one of the most incredible pub meals I have had in a long time! Three bean chillie with rice, salad and tortillas. I would love if they would introduce more vegan options though which is the only reason this was not 5 star. This place is usually listed in one of the top restaurants in Manchester and it deserves its top reputation. We did not stay at the hotel so cannot pass comment. We were unable to park on site due to some of the carport being out of action due to building work to expand the car park. It took approximately 20 minutes for our starters to come out, Yorkshire pudding strip and gravy along with pork crackling. Both of us thoroughly enjoyed our starters and had high hopes for our Sunday dinners. However a 55 minute wait was poor. There were items missing mainly the parsnips and honey glazed carrots that despite having asked for them we were merely bought a further dish of seasonal greens with a few carot batons that had never seen a drop of maple glaze in their life. The quality of the beef was very good and the Yorkshire puddings here are fab. The cauliflower cheese was mediocre and not something I would pay extra for again. The mashed potato was a saving grace as the roast potatoes whilst packing flavour were disappointing as there was no crunch to the texture and were not much further on than a boiled potato. A place that offered so much potential however we leave disappointed both in agreement that we would unlikely return. If you managed to find a quiet day in which the food came out at reasonable intervals this may improve the experience. Whilst the staff were polite throughout there was a lack of attentiveness

They found me a spot even though it was busy. All the servers were fantastic and ensured that I had all the ingredients available to see as I have a weird intolerance of Chick Peas. BUT I have noticed some changes over the last year and would like to offer feedback. I don't know if it's the beers themselves or how they're being kept, but whenever I visit the Moss Trooper nowadays, I end up feeling quite rough the next day after just one or two drinks. This doesn't happen at other nearby places like The Bridge or Stubborn Mule. It's not like it's ever really dirty, but it is getting kind of shabby and could do with a deep clean at the very least. Wherever you sit, you'll notice stains on the carpet and furniture and, without wanting to be unkind, it does smell a bit off even for a pub. Sorry, I hate to leave what some will read as a critical review. Hopefully this will be taken constructively, these are all things the brewery or local management could easily fix. The Moss Trooper is still probably the best of the bunch among big brewery chain pubs in Timperley.
