What can i say. It was a very good experience. We got there an hour before out table booking and had no issues at all. We just got some drinks and sat in the garden. Has lovely sitting area at the back also at the front. Has a nice pond too with fishes inside. Very relaxing. When it was time to take a seat in the restaurant area, we went inside and was greeted by donna, she had a smile all throughout. It was a busy afternoon so donna had to attend to other things while a lovely young lady called destiny took over. She was also very polite and well spoken. She served us professionally while she also looked after other tables as it was busy. We got the sharing starters, the king prawns where lovely, the battered sea bass was very tasty, calamari was just calamari but the good one, courgette and pepper was also very tasty, i dont normally like courgettes but i loved this one. When we sat on the table we were given a big cold as ice bottle of tap water on the house. For the main i got the sea bass, very delicious but i wasnt too sure about the yellow sauce. Was still nice though but next time i might ask for them not to put the sauce. Mother in law got the king prawn, chorizo and scallop linguine, and mrs got the double pork. We got 2 portions of crispy onion rings but i wish we only got 1. The portion was huge, 3 of us couldnt finish it. They where the best onion rings we have ever had, very fluffy and crispy. The presentation of everything was just spot on. I felt like i was in a restaurant in mayfair! 😂 i will definitely go there again and i highly recommend.

I had scallops to start, which were presented beautifully and absolutely delicious. For mains I had duck, which was exceptional and melt-in-the-mouth tender. White chocolate pana cotta very well made smooth and melt in the mouth... The orange custard tart we unfortunately found very disappointing. We coujd not taste any orange to the tart and also the overpowering taste and smell of eggs was not nice. We did mention this to the waiting staff. And they went and spoke with the chef. And came back and offered us a replacement allternitive desert. Very impressed. My only other comment is that when we arrived my daughter had requested a quiet part of the restaurant in booking the table as I have health issues with my hearing. And when we arrived we had a lovely table nice and quiet. But unfortunately as we were starting are starters a table of 13_15 people were put next to us.. They were obviously celebrateing something and we're in high spirits and very noisy as they were all talking at once. Which was off putting. And affected me communicating with my family. Got the minute steak and chips, some focaccia to share, and obviously had to try the tiramisu because... well, when in Rome (or Billericay). Whole lot came to £17 which these days is basically a miracle. The steak was spot on - proper tender and cooked just right. None of that chewy nonsense you sometimes get. Chips were banging too, nice and crispy on the outside. The focaccia was still warm when it came out and we absolutely demolished it before the mains even arrived (oops). But can we talk about this tiramisu for a sec? Normally I'm a bit meh about desserts but this one was actually ridiculous. Like, properly good. Had that perfect coffee kick and wasn't too sweet or anything. Staff were lovely as well - really chatty and seemed to actually enjoy their jobs, which you don't see everywhere. One of the servers even had a laugh with us about how quickly we'd polished off the bread. Look, it's not fancy fine dining or anything, but sometimes you just want good food that doesn't cost a fortune and leaves you feeling proper satisfied. This place nailed it. The room was great; it had its own bar, toilets and outside seating and the staff, who were very helpful,even moved tables & chairs away so we had a dance floor. We decided against a DJ but did our own playlist & played it through their sound system. We were able to set up at 6.30pm and the party ran from 7.30 -10.30pm. We had welcome drinks on arrival, which worked well and then chatting dancing and singing all night long. We had to pay a small deposit and agree a minimum spend on the night. I ordered a passionfruit mojito and I could actually taste the alcohol despite the amount of ice cubes-very nice! I wouldn't reccommend the olives unless you prefer your olives flavourless with just olive oil and sundried tomatoes. The duck and pineapple salad was delicious, I would say it needed some sort of ju or sauce to go with the duck to give it a little moisture. The Rotisserie chicken meal could have been seasoned a little more but it was moist, tender and delicious however it could have done with something refreshing on the side like a salad or green beans. The thin cut and rustic thick cut chips were very nice. The children's chicken strips meal was a good portion however the chicken was quite dry. The toilets are wonderful to walk in to, smelled and looked clean as well as decorated pleasantly. Lastly, if you're type 1 diabetic, they have their carbohydrates pre-calculated via a QR code on the menu which is super helpful! Would dine here again if we were to be in the area in future!

Well. we are both pretty fussy when eating in places especially pubs and like good food. I rang up around 12.00 noon to see if we could walk in or had to book and a very sweet lady answered the phone and was very polite. She checked that we could come in as they had two party’s booked. She came back straight away and said we could book a table which she done. We arrived at the restaurant at 12.45 and was greeted by the same pleasant lady who showed us to a lovely window table. The choice for the starters was overwhelming So I had tomato soup which was very nice but a little too sweet for my liking but still a good home made soap. My wife had chicken and liver patia which was served on a slice of thick toasted bread. And aging she loved it. Both my wife and I had battered fish and chips and I must say there was nothing to complain about. It was all served piping hot with fresh garden peas and fantastic thick chips. I don’t have a bad word to say about the staff they were all very polite and no sign of rushing you at all. I personally wanted to try their steak and ale pie but we were informed that they had just changed the menu for a chicken and mushroom. So we will have to do another booking to see how nice it is. From the first moment my husband and I came to look at this venue we knew it would be the perfect place to host our sons wedding reception. Ash was amazing! He was great in giving us plenty of options for menu, we had a lovely meal whilst discussing wedding reception arrangements, Ash was so accommodating, communication leading up to the event was smooth, whatever we needed was given. The staff were are so friendly, very hard working, On the day of the reception I couldn’t believe how amazing the decor looked, All our guests were very relaxed, they enjoyed the atmosphere and complemented the fab menu that we picked. The staff worked really hard on the day, one of my guests even had a food allergy and the staff we so careful and catered for her. This is the perfect place to have a wedding reception, we had a big bouncy castle on the green and plenty of parking for our guests. They are now open for coffee during the daytime which is great for a post dog walk drink. I was at the Take That tribute night very recently and found the service had really gone downhill. Food is okay, portion size is great! The Lasagne was nice, but a bit burnt on top. The Creme Brulee also tasted nice, but had the consistency of scrambled egg so was a bit overdone. Presentation was good and the wine was also good. The Manager was abrupt with staff in the restaurant, so whilst it's good they're trying to keep standards it's normally something guests shouldn't have to see. We were put in the functions room which to me spelt danger from past experiences there. You just don't get the same service in this room. Even though the 3 courses were well presented the mains weren't that great. Turkey far to thick and dry. Our table was never cleared of glasses which made eating more difficult. There were 20 adults and a few kids and the bill was well over £2000 without all drinks going on bill. We went there for mother's Day which was the same. Not great. Finally and lastly Meat Somosa these were small and tasted like they had been a few days old, likely to have been heated. I have eaten at any other Indians in Billericay but I certainly won’t be ordering here again. I’ve eaten at my fair share of indian takeouts and I’ve had some great and some not so great. This one

The saag paneer didn’t have fresh spinach. I would have preferred cubes of paneer rather than melting and pulling cheese. The butter was rich with a good thick sauce, but the meat was shredded so it was difficult to catch the pieces with the chapati. The chicken tikka had an astonishing ruby colour, and the sauce was too sweet. The garlic rice was amazing. The service was inconsistent. The dishes came quickly but we waited too long for the bill or to catch the attention of waiters who rather focused on welcoming new clients and preparing the tables. Even though the resturant shut at 22:30 the man on the phone was friendly and took our order. We had one chicken korma, one lamb rogan josh, one mushroom rice and one peshawari naan. This came to £30 which I think is reasonably priced. The food was hot and very tasty. The lamb was tender and the spices worked well for the dish. When we went to collect our meal the man was welcoming considering they were just about to shut. I will be ordering from here again. Dont worry next time it will be earlier in the evening haha! I cant believe I've lived in Billericay all these years and not found it before. Staff are really friendly and chatty but not intrusive. Food is amazing! Quality is excellent. We've been 4 times already. Excellent value for money. 2 curries and rice with poppadoms, naans and 2 sides, 2 beers and a soft drink less than £50.
