I cannot fault the venue at all. The staff where amazing and so accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. Even the game of rock paper scissors was a laugh with our server. The birthday boy loved it. Considering there was 14 of us Jo went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our night. The food was prompt and delicious. It was presented beautifully and was served hot. Jo had helped us set the balloons up earlier in the day and brought our cake out when we needed it singing along with our family. We shared the delicious roast mushroom pate (homemade) which came with sourdough toast and caramelised onion chutney. A generous portion. We had a roast beef and a roast pork. It arrived with plenty of roast potatoes, accompanied by vegetables, Yorkshire pudding and gravy. The meat was beautifully cooked as were the veggies. Good choice of wines, beers and cocktails. A relaxed atmosphere, the restaurant was nearly full. People enjoying their lunches and the warm hospitality. Jane, was very friendly and attentive to all her customers, as was the waitress. I would recommend a visit to The Olive Tree to enjoy delicious food which is great value for money and wonderful service.

After a short wait at the entrance, we were offered a choice of where to sit, which was appreciated. We came in this evening and the food was lovely. The restaurant was not busy, but we were told the wait was for 30 minutes to which we agreed. However we waited for more than 20 minutes and our order was not taken. The rest of the food was just as bad. Prawns were in rock hard batter that was so overly seasoned with chilli that it genuinely could have blown heads off - the “Cajun butter” served with it I have no words for. I have thing with soft chicken skin, chicken looked alive, it put me off. Maybe I should have asked them for medium grilled chicken if that’s a thing 🙄😂🙄. My daughter is a foodie, I was shocked and sad to see her disappointment as we were looking forward to the afternoon and being lost in the music and food pretending we were in SA.We still had fun, enjoyed the music, luckily I have happy children and I teach them to always look at the positive in life. However, I was a sad one this time cos we visit Nandos when ever I miss home. I did not wanna complain and I hate when food gets taken away to b rectified, we all heard horror stories about what happens behind closed doors. The chips were ok, rice did not taste fresh, ate it anyway as we were hungry, ordered another garlic bread cos we couldn’t eat d chicken, had to peel the skin off and the visible veins on the chicken skin then dipped it in the sauce, that did not help. Couldn’t wait to get home to have my Nandos experience there & we did. I will visit again only the next time I will ask for the chichh my en to be grilled to perfection without visible chicken skin and veins.

I visited with my two grandsons before going to the pictures. I ordered a ceaser salad for £9.25, then a further £4 on top for a chicken piece, I have never ever seen such a boring salad in all my life, nothing just a small amount of lettuce, croutons with grated cheese and ceaser dressing, then my £4 chicken on top! My grandsons ordered half a chicken and two sides and butterfly chicken with two sides at £16.90 each. Again I cant say it was value for money at all but they did enjoy it. Wow what a disgusting manner to have food placed down and not the decency to hand you cutlery!! This might be how it works overall but I felt it was extremely poor service and will not be rushing back again. However I would say there was a lovely tall young man on the till and he was very pleasant. On ordering I asked for the ceaser salad like on the sandwich board outside but he said he had not seen it, so I just ordered ceaser salad with chicken. It was a ceaser salad wrap on the board I found out later on leaving. Anyway it still would have been the same boring salad just in a wrap but may have been better value for money. My opinion extremely hyped up and not value for money, most boring salad I have ever had and I am 64.
