We were served by Moey who was lovely and checked on us regularly. We couldn't finish all the food so we got a doggy box to take it home for the pups. Tonight the restaurant rang us to state the delivery was more than they usually charge us, giving the reason of our postcode, however this also differed from the advertised amount. Our evening was special and lovely as we were together again and we just chatted away all throughout our meals and drinks. However, our Thai food was rather average and not really authentic Thai! The prices weren't that good value in terms of food quality or gastronomic expectations.. Is it a Chinese or a Thai restaurant or simply trying to do both is reflective of very average food of both Chinese or Thai... This is maybe letting it down overall unfortunately and sadly I have to mention it here.....?? Our "Maître d'/host" Watson was extremely friendly, welcoming and attentive along with all the staff serving a busy dinner sitting in and around us in the restaurant. So A BIG THANK YOU to all of them for their efforts on the night with us. I did leave them all a good gratuity when I settled our bill (the food quality wasn't their doing!!) To add to our already disappointing quality of our meals, there were some rather boisterous "elderly gents" on the table behind us and their language at times was rather loud and in parts bordering on rude.... All in all, rather disappointed with the quality of our supposedly "Thai cuisine" or meals. I was going to bring my fiancée here for a cosy Thai meal experience although now I'm afraid "I will Not" be doing so...

The food was fantastic, full of flavour and fresh, but the service, lacks severely. It took nigh on 15 minutes to present us with the bill, to which we reviewed and found they had added £10+. We looked at the menu we were presented with when entering and found that they had increased each meal we had by £2. Yes, £2 isn't too much of an increase, but it is the principal of it. Without any prior notice, they had increased the prices without changing it on the menu we were handed. They also said the card machine was not working, even though we saw a customer (who happened to be my uncle) come in and pay on card (via contactless) as he had no cash. It's such a shame to be honest. The food itself as aforementioned is brilliant, but the service from the 'manager' is disappointing and very poor. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and attentive. Do suggest that you book ahead for a group as bigger tables could all be taken etc.. The cauliflower cheese and mushrooms, sweet potatoes and spinach soups were very tasty and delicious. Along with our soups, we a had prawn sandwich, a cheese melt, a panini and mine was the Toasted BLT. All freshly made and delicious too. The decor is attractively decorated which imparts a very warm and cosy atmosphere. Their wines were very good although maybe suggest a bigger selection of beers but especially an improvement on the current ales...such fantastic local micro-brewed ales around that deserve being here. The Joule's Brewery is just a 3 minute walk away so I'm sure you could approach them! Friday's fish lunch specials menu looks outstanding and definitely worth a visit here for a lunch session! Surprised at the all used dishes and glasses left on the table. We found a suitable seat but had to clear the table our selves. A member of staff came out and just watched and then returned to the bar area. The outside building is extremely attractive and the interior decor is gorgeous. The staff were amazing, very friendly, welcoming and attentive... The menu selection is very tempting and has a good selection of food, cakes and the alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available are good and caters for everyone. We popped in here for some lunch and drinks and we weren't disappointed as the food was freshly prepared, cooked and delicious and my bottle of Speckled Hen was perfect along with the white Zinfandel wine too. The prices are very reasonable and good value for the great food and drinks. Our choice for lunch was a portion of their "Dirty Loaded chips with bacon, cheese and spicy mayo, devilishly delicious.. and a BLT (bacon, lettuce and tomato) on seeded Brown bread toasted sandwich with fresh salad nicely dressed too...one of the best BLT's I've had in a very long time. So fresh and the bacon was stacked and out of this world too...wow!! Thank you to all the staff and chef/s, you are all stars and we'll definitely be back again, especially for your afternoon proper Tea session!! They also do take-away and have outdoors seating area for sunny days! We highly recommend this cafe and definitely worthy of a visit when in Market Drayton town centre...

We were welcomed into the bar area by the owner who was very attentive. The bar was warm and cozy. We were given bar snacks. After placing our order and enjoying a drink we moved to the homely dining room- a fire burning in the grate; the family silver and china displayed in the cupboards and tables adorned with white linen - we felt like part of the family who own this stately home. The waitress was lovely although she seemed extremely nervous but had no need to be as she did a super job. We then enjoyed 4 courses of delicious food served with just the right intervals to ensure that you didn't feel rushed and that you had time to savour every delicious morsel. A lot of the dishes included vegetables, fruits and flowers from the garden harvest or local artisan producers. Absolutely delicious - can't recommend it enough.
