We booked a table. Reasonable price. We had the £6 deal, which is from Monday to Friday, 12pm-6pm. Mains were £6 and desserts were £2.99. Everyone in the group enjoyed their food. Its always been ok but on my last visit (Evening November 2025) the service was quite the worst I have experienced ever, anywhere! The barman was just so rude it was shocking and almost laughably if it was not serious. Not just to me it would seem, but everyone around him. Examples would take too long to list Breakfast staff where not much better. The lady re stacking the food could not look up from or put down her mobile phone long enough to find the manager so that we could be seated. We seated ourselves in the end, it was easier. The general manager was great but was leaving on Thursday! Local rumour has it that the business is up for sale or has been sold. It would seem the staff have lost their motivation and have just given up caring. My suggestion would be to give it a mis until the sale is complete!

Several people squeezed past my table in the doorway, bumping it and almost spilling my drink. When the waitress came with my starter I asked to be moved as there were 2 empty 2 seater tables in the room from the doorway my table was blocking. To which the reply was "it would mess up our systems!". When I said people were squeezing through knocking the table, she pulled over a chair from a nearby table to block the doorway completely. I asked the waitress to touch the table to see if it was clean. The reply was..." it is clean but the varnish is coming off!". At this point I gave up. Decided to eat my food as quickly as possible and retreat back to my room. Food was OK but not what you would expect for what you pay. I have had much better at other Premier Inns pubs. Ordered nachos for starters (very small) and chicken tikka with side salad and naan bread. Came without the naan bread. Side salad was a bit pathetic and in a ramekin. Asked the waitress for the naan and some mayonnaise. After waiting 4 to 5 minutes watching my food go cold, I went the the friendly barman, who even though was busy, went and got them from the kitchen immediately. Well done to him. Overall, felt very unwelcome and disappointed, and I am largely discouraged from staying at this Premier Inn in the future, mostly due to my dining experience. Conveniently above restaurant 😋 so easy to pop down and get a meal or just free hot drinks from machine. Bought 1 large chips, 1 medium fish and a tub of curry. Chips looked like a pile of scratching and looked like they were pre cooked and then reheated? The fish honestly it wasn’t much bigger than a fish finger and we wondered if they gave us a small by mistake? (I’m sorry I dint photograph it now or didn’t open the box until we got home otherwise I would have asked for my money back). The curry was ok but nothing to write home about. Bloke doing the cooking never smiled at anybody and made it look like he didn’t want to be there. No atmosphere or friendly customer chat at all. So it’s not for us, slightly on the dear side but only chippy in the area, so they have the monopoly. I would give it 2 out of 10 but try it yourself. Obviously won’t be going back. We ate what we could salvage out of the chips and binned the rest. We called here in April 2025 and it was delicious and well worth the price, but we don’t know what has changed since then??? Oh and it was very messy where the food is cooked, fat all over the fryer and full of the bits they were selling as chips. The chippy near us is always cleaning and wiping down as he goes as he has protein his businesses. Might be a lesson for this chippy to learn?

Horrendous, tasteless. The pork chow mein was covered in pepper, made it completely inedible. I even tried to drown the taste of pepper out with some sweet and sour sauce, still vile. It was just pieces of chicken in sauce (not crispy chicken). My partner took it back to explain that we had been given the wrong one. The girl on the counter began to give attitude and refused to change it or give money back. My partner refused to leave without them either changing it or refunding. So the chinese lady came out and said to my partner that I ordered the wrong one and to order the correct one next time, when my partner said I definitely ordered the correct one and the chinese man knew what we wanted last time and had no issues. However, when we got back to the resort and dished it out, it wasn't half as nice as the first time round. The mixed grill platter, just taste sensation. Again fresh, full of flavour and beats any takeaway kebab hands down. The lamb… perfect!! I’ve only had above quality check taste of mains but safe to say I’ve found a new takeaway. No greasy slot, you almost feel you can get away with it being a “healthy” takeaway it’s that fresh. TEAM THANK YOU. You’ve a new customer for life in me and anyone I can possibly tell how great you are and will be visiting to eat in soon, I simply have to now!!! Had some terrible experiences with Uber Eats, just eat etc recently, even a local Chinese I literally had to get to come and collect the food it was that awful even my bin didn’t deserve it!
