The staff were friendly the pub was busy with people eating a fine selection of meals,liver and onions steaks all looked lovely .we went for glazed ham eggs and chips an easy meal the ham didn't appear to be glazed and tasted a bit processed the chips were terrible , 3 times cooked chips should be chunky and fluffy These looked like they were cooked 3days before and were so thin it could have been potato peelings. Needless to say we won't be back. There is a lot of good here and unless we were the unlucky customers to get the last of a batch of chips ,change how you cook your chips

Nice view of the harbour from most of the restaurant. Very friendly staff who will happily run through to catches of the day and how they are cooked and give you prices at the table. The fish was excellently cooked and presented and they popped over every now and then to see if you wanted a top up on the unlimited chips. Overall a throughly enjoyable meal and will be visiting again when work sends me back in 6 months.

Rather noisy in there as there wasnt really any partitions to help negate the noise, won't be returning mainly because of that dreadful dessert and time it took to arrive. 20 minutes is unacceptable for a dreadful dessert like that.

The service was alright but the excuse to all the bad performance was because they were busy so I counted the seats and literally over half the restaurant was empty. The mains were absolutely delicious. However they came with nothing not even a side for the lasagne. A piece of garlic bread or a few chips have to be ordered separately and when I say a few chips I mean it! It's a literal cup of chips. I digress to the desert... Don't bother. Cake is something small enough to conceal in your pocket and the same with the tiramisu. In addition to that the tiramisu is closer to a coffee flavoured millionaires short bread than the genuine dessert. We actually couldn't eat it and left it in the end.

The pizzas they all made were delicious and then they all got to have ice cream for afters which they obviously loved 🥰 My favourite part was watching them all put there aprons and chefs hats on sat at the table together, they looked super cute ☺️ 🥰❤️ Then at the end they all got a personalised certificate which was a really nice touch 👌 I really can’t recommend it enough, the whole thing was amazing and everyone loved it 🥰 thanks so Bella Italia Plymouth 😁❤️

We went on a Tuesday night when they have an all-you-can-eat buffet, and it was packed. We ate à la carte, and the service was still exceptional. Been there for as long as I can remember. Old style British pub with good selection of wines, spirits and beers. It does serve beverages to. A menu of pub food from full English to fish and chips and curries. I had a full English which was ok. And reasonably priced to. You can get a larger one at an extra cost. Service was good and with a smile. Something you don't get much of these days. It's a reasonable sized pub with a lot of seating. It is fairly clean on tables. Toilets are average and do have a little smell to them. It's easily accessed if your disabled. But it's a city centre so parking is done in local car parks. As she was eating through this she realised that it was missing 4 of the listed ingredients: rice, quinoa, edamame beans and herby garlic dressing. When we pointed this out at the bar, and as we didn't have time to wait for a replacement meal, we were offered a full refund for the salad. The staff are efficient and friendly, there was a nice welcome. It has a relaxed atmosphere and gentle music. Drinks and food were brought out promptly and all accurate. I must admit when we drove into the car park, it wasn't a good view. However as soon as you step through the door what a delight. A lovely greeting as well entered, a lovely layout and a great choice of food. We ordered our drinks & food and we were not disappointed. This was a truly great traditional roast. I had the brisket of beef and it was melt in the mouth. Plenty of roast potatoes, a good range of vegetables & loads of gravy in a pouring jug. Staff accommodated our late check-in due to road traffic accident which we were very grateful for. Included breakfast is delicious and chef is super friendly. Rooms are great - comfy beds and powerful shower. Only downside is that if other rooms have their tv’s on loudly, you can hear it straight through the walls which happened on a couple nights of our stay! Other than that lovely and peaceful.

Mattress had most of it springs removed the the feel of it suffered from a bad back all the following day. You had to be a contortionist to fit in the en suite. I was literally there is the door opened at noon and the first customer in the door. It took around 10 minutes to get my portion of chips so I assume they were freshly cooked. I considered that the prices were extremely expensive so I was expecting half decent at least but I can honestly say, despite the lovely cheerfulness of the owner, these were the worst chips I’ve ever had in my life from a takeaway I might as well have pulled out a packet of walkers crisps onto my plate. They were all refried crispy nothings. There was a little that resemble potato anywhere. I also ordered a pickled onion, which I didn’t actually get, the curry sauce was bland, the sausages were liked by the dogs and extremely overpriced for the size.
