Ever since we discovered it we make it a point to go whenever we are in the area. The service is outstanding, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the food and drinks. The food and beverages themselves are excellent with a nice variety. We have ordered different items including their salads, their fried seafood, their pastas and pizzas, and their pork chop entree. All were delicious, with the most recent visit in 2024 being for a graduation dinner. All of the items come highly recommended and I urge anyone reading this to check the menu for seasonal specials. The order from the graduation dinner was: Sleeping Giant Brewery Beer, their caesar salad, their seasonal shrimp special item, the rabbit mafalde pasta, the seafood pasta, and the raspberry creme brulee. It's not too eggy and it has a beautiful and satisfying bite with a bit of bounce. The vodka sauce I found was a bit too sour. It needed a bit more cheese to balance the acidity out personally. Sleepyhead cocktail - Yummy. Not typically a drinker but this was good. It was chamomile and honey forward with white wine. Overall, I would recommend! The service was very friendly. Now the food, we did the Large Family Style Tasting. My favorite appetizers on 1st round were the yellow bean tempura and the chicharrón sweet potatoes. Loved the flavors in the sweet potato dish. 2nd the gnocchi pasta made fresh melted in mouth and paired well with the tomatoe sauce. 3rd entrees, shrimp was a delight, loved the potatoes with the crispy edges and soft flavorful jammy centers. My only issue is the steak. I believe it was a 45 day aged striploin a leaner cut that is paired with what I believe was like a indian curry butter sauce. However, the sauce imo is too acidic maybe a touch more butter or cream would have made it pair better with the leaner cut steak. But this is just my opinion lol. 😅. Desserts, stawberry short cake is my fav. The panacotta would be nice with less compote and more panacotta. Chocolate tart, if you're a chocolate lover thats for you (a lil tooo chocolaty for me). The atmosphere was pretty spacious and clean and the waitresses were pleasant and quickly got our orders. I ordered the Tarrymore smash burger and my lady ordered the Red curry Tagliatelle. It didn't take long before we got our meals and while my burger was pretty good, I'm surprised that the fries were not anything special. After all the item was 22 dollars, I was kinda expecting maybe some fancier fries. The ketchup looked and tasted made in house which was good but that was it. The Red Curry Tagliatelle was 33 dollars and well....anyone half competent in the kitchen could have made that easily with a quarter of the cost. The only thing that sounds kinda remotely fancy from the dish was the tagliatelle noodles and anyone who has travelled outside a small town should know it's not that extravagant. The chicken cubes in the dish were dry from being overcooked and the red curry mostly tasted like peanut with a bit of spice. The meal wasn't bad by any means but it's confusing when you pay a lot for a pretty average meal.

We shared the cauliflower bites which were fried in the most delicious zesty, lemony coating paired with a lovely dipping sauce as well as the insanely indulgent duck confit poutine which currently shared top spot for not luxurious and rich poutine I've had with a camembert poutine I once had. The duck is generous and the gravy is deeply flavoured. The fries themselves are mind-blowingly good. This is the only authentic Thai restaurant you’ll find around here. This restaurant is run by a Thai lady. People started lining up at this place, that’s how good it is. We were very lucky to have a table here we got one almost right away as we entered. We were welcomed with a warm smile by Justin who took our order. And it was only his third shift today and he was doing so great! So warm and easy to talk to, along with Jasmine whom took my order since I had dietary restrictions. My dad ordered a clubhouse sandwich with fries and gravy. Both were absolutely phenomenal and really hit the spot. Throughout my experience last night I could tell employee morale was quite low and I was NOT the only one who noticed or checked in with the other waitstaff to see if they were doing alright. When I was served by this lady before it was the worst possible service I have ever received. The first time I was served by her me and my friend were sat inside, and we both asked for waters. She didn’t bring them. So i asked again. Again no waters. She asked us if we wanted any alcohol drinks we both said no just the waters please. We never received them. I ended up going to my car to get us our water bottles. We got our food and there was an issue with my friends order (her chicken fingers were quite burned — almost black) and we never complain. She just mentioned it to the server and asked if she could get new ones and she just said “oh sorry” and walked away. She saw we had our water bottles on the table… still did not bring us waters or check in or anything. This time last night I could hear her complaining about her long shift and being exhausted yet not doing anything but leaning either against the wall or in the bar. These are just two of the horrific experiences I and a few others have had with this particular person and I feel absolutely terrible for all the staff that had to put up with that last night. No one deserves to be treated like that by management in the workplace.

The first time was a work dinner on a Tuesday and we had Marcus as our incredible server. We enjoyed appetizers and mains and drinks all at a reasonable cost. The seared scallop appy was perfectly cooked and presented, very flavourful. The shrimp tempura was so light and fresh, the maple and lemon created a flavour explosion on your tongue. My colleagues ordered the NY striploin and the Salmon entrees. The NY strip was cooked to order and beautifully presented in strips on the plate. The salmon and risotto was full of flavour, juicy and very appealing. I ordered parmesan crusted chicken (I normally avoid chicken breast for fear of being served something overcooked). This meal was incredible, its been a month since we were there and I can still recall the fresh lemon flavour of this meal and the crisp vegetables and the juiciness of the chicken! The second visit went much the same as the first, an amazing server named Heidi (I think) took care of us. My partner and I brought my mother, whom I love dearly, but hate dining out with because she always finds something to complain about. We skipped the appetizers, I had the short rib (fall apart goodness), my partner had the seafood pasta (perfectly cooked noodles, flavorful seafood) and my mom had the pork tenderloin. We also indulged in creme brulee and a chocolate gateau. Everything was spot on! When we left, my mom proclaimed it was the best meal she ever had ~ I nearly cried! This place had some good reviews. It’s a bit of a down town area with a lot of one ways so we relied on GPS. Also of note you need to pay for parking along the streets. The parking patrol was on duty and was checking meters that morning. They seated us on arrival. I can’t say I found the chairs very comfortable but overall it wasn’t the worst. The restaurant is very bright and airy, lots of nice bright sunshine colours and unique rooster decor. It has a nice vibe. I ordered a basic breakfast and a side crepe. The crepe was fantastic. The potatoes were alright. I would’ve preferred them more crisped but that’s okay. I loved the bacon here though it was perfect. My partner had the breakfast burrito. It was quite hefty and we were both unable to finish our meals (good portion sizes). He also ordered a red bull fusion drink that was very tasty and we’d recommend taking one to go. Essentially it’s a red bull with a flavour shot. Decent restaurant. May not return on our way back as we’d like to try something new and it didn’t stand out enough for a return.

The best thing was the bland chicken fried rice, why? Because at least it resembled chicken fried rice. We showed up around 5:30pm and the restaurant was already filling up, and had a constant stream of people coming in the doors. Have to say the atmosphere here was pretty great.
