This was my first time trying it and the food was amazing. The portions were surprisingly big for the price (roughly 14$ - 22$), everything was fresh, the temperature of the food was warm but not scolding hot and it was really flavorful.
Good luck trying to pick something to eat, they have too many good options :). I think this is my favourite fusion spot I’ve ever tried. The service was amazing and I love the inside decor very casual and cool spot for dinner. 10/10 would eat again!

I had never been to this restaurant before and decided to try it out last week. It is absolutely fantastic, I left thinking- what have I been doing without this place?!?!! We had Julia as our server, and she was amazing! So attentive, frequently coming over to check on us, but never seeming too aggressive. She recommended that I try the Curry Katsu Chicken Rice and my boyfriend try the miso Greek Slaw with grilled chicken. The food was incredible! I was skeptical about the idea of a curry cheese sauce before trying it, but wished that I could bring a jar of it home when I finished. I will definitely be back here and I hope to have Julia as my server again, she absolutely made my night!

The food itself was pretty good, solid 4/5. Found the burger a bit dry! But the service was outstanding ! Unfortunately i did not get our waitresses name but she was working alone for the whole restaurant on the night of January 30th. She was absolutely fantastic. Always coming over with proper timing making sure we were good, even though the restaurant was packed, she was also very apologetic in terms of timing even though it didn’t seem like we were waiting long for anything. Will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu!

It's been a few years since I've been to Inspire on Main Street in Markham. We came here in December for a friend's belated birthday celebration, as well as a holiday gathering.
Everything on the menu looked great so we each picked a dish to share, starting with Calamari Poutine, before moving on to Loco Moco, Curry Katsu Chicken Rice, Chicken & Waffles, Spicy Vodka Udon, Duck Confit Tacos, and Crab Mac & Cheese.
Plating of the dishes was beautiful, matched only by the delicious flavours. We enjoyed every dish, with no clear favourite. It was all good!
This is a great spot, offering delicious food with very attractive presentation. The ambiance is cozy and intimate, and our server was outstanding!

Aug 2025: went back & the dishes are still huge but the waitress is 100 times nicer. Tried same dishes+ smoked salmon Benny which was also very good.
2024: Brunch's main dishes options are limited but we went for yuzu shrimp hash and shiitake gravy chicken katsu. About $20-22 per dish, portions are big. Food was good. Maybe wished for more shiitake gravy but we were pleased. Iced blueberry matcha is average & the waitress is not very cheerful.

Had a wonderful experience at Peter’s Fine Dining. The restaurant has a very classic, old-school charm with rich solid wood finishes that really give off a warm 1980s vibe. The service was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and professional. Although we were the youngest couple in the restaurant, we were treated with the same respect and attentiveness as every other guest, which really stood out.
As for the food, the Caesar salad was absolutely amazing—fresh, crisp, and perfectly dressed. The scallops were also very good, nicely cooked and full of flavour.

A really interesting tableside Caesar salad! They displayed all the ingredients before making it — and visibly poured a lot of olive oil (seriously, a lot 😂). Once the dressing was ready, they showed it to us before mixing everything together. The salad had a rich, bold flavor — very salty and savory. It might get a bit heavy by the end, but overall, it was a fun and unique Caesar salad experience that’s definitely worth trying once.
When we were paying the bill, the server handed me a rose Not sure if they knew it was Chinese Valentine’s Day (Qixi), or if they always give flowers to female guests — but it was a sweet little surprise. I can see why Peter’s has been around for so long. The first steak I have had out at a restaurant that I can say I was happy with. The service was great, all the staff were friendly, although maybe some inconsistent timing on approach but that is a minor problem, my waiter Peter was great created conversation but not too much which I appreciated. As for the space, some could say a bit dated but I liked it, really fits the atmosphere given the longevity of the restaurant. I look forward to coming back and enjoying the other offerings Peter’s has to give!

Excellent restaurant for a fine dining experience. The Caesar salad made fresh by your table, was quite scrumptious; Very fresh and flavourful. We also got the New York striploin steak and the jumbo Canadian sea scallops . The scallops came with a side of mash and we would have to say these are some of the most smoothest mash potatoes we have ever had . Felt like eating ice cream with the Perfect amount of seasoning. Been a loyal customer of Peter's for over 25+ years and there's good reason for that - they are consistently providing exceptional food, service and atmosphere. Steak, seafood are all A+ but the star is the Prime Rib and in my opinion the best in the GTA. Tableside Caesar salad is a must but if you're not feeling for it, go greens with their creamy garlic house dressing.

Lunch with colleagues, they have daily specials. I ordered the Smash burger, double beef patties, with cheese just $12.00 (regular $21.00) on Wednesday. This is a modern take on Southern American cuisine. The best dish was definitely the beef brisket hush puppies – absolutely delicious. Surprisingly, the mac & cheese came in second. I used to think I didn’t like mac & cheese, but turns out I just hadn’t tried a good one before.
The crab roe and shrimp scrambled egg toast was also very creative. If you’re a fan of carbs, this is a must-order. The French toast can be shared as a dessert – a great choice. The coffee is excellent and a must-try, and surprisingly, they have a wide variety of teas too.
Overall, the prices are reasonable, service is very attentive, and the wine and cocktail list is extensive. This is actually a great spot for family gatherings – enjoyable for both young and old.

Food was amazing and some had a different twist on things when other were what you find a a restaurant bar.
I went with a 7 people and we were in front of the patio. Perhaps it was how they got their bigger group out faster but some of the staff did not completely close the door and it's was windy and we got the fresh air. That is the only negative.
Over all it was nice and I may go back but not in front of the patio doors.
They did ask people at the table if anyone is allergic to anything which i do like..

This is my go to recommendation when folks in the Markham/Richmond Hill area ask for a nice place to dine.
I have been multiple times and never been disappointed. It seems to be run very much like a family business. Service has always been impeccable.
This week I dropped in on a Monday and it was $12 apps! Favourite was the chicken croquettes. Like arancini but with chicken inside. The ribs were good but I wouldn’t pay the full $24 regular price for a portion that size. Same goes for that fun pink drink I had. Not sure I’d pay $15 to have it again. But some folks priorities are different. I’d rather eat my money than drink it.
Love how unassuming the place is tucked back in the corner of the plaza but once inside is spacious and well appointed. Truly flummoxed at the reviews that can possibly be giving lower than 5 stars.

Had a nice dinner with good food and friendly service at Smash. LA Mac and Cheese was very rich, creamy and flavorful. Brisket Grilled Cheese was pretty good, though it was a little on the sweeter side for my taste. I plan to try their smash burger next time. Everyone in our party of 5 enjoyed their meals. We arrived around 5:15 pm, and there was no one waiting in front of us. I took a number and politely asked the hostess how long the wait might be. She told me “just a few minutes,” so I let my kids come in and we decided to stay.
After waiting over 20 minutes, several groups who arrived after us were seated. When I asked again, the answer suddenly changed to “another 30 minutes.” At that point, we had no choice but to leave.
Our Saturday family dinner was completely wasted, and by the time we went to another restaurant, it was already busy hour everywhere — so we ended up waiting again.
I fully understand that reservations have priority, but when I first asked, you could have been honest about the real wait time. If it was 30 minutes or more, just say it — don’t mislead customers by saying “a few minutes” just to keep them waiting.
This isn’t just poor service — it’s dishonest and disrespectful of your customers’ time.

A restaurant with bad service attitude. After my friend gave a tip when she checked out, someone who I don't know if it was the manager or someone else came and asked for a $20 extra tip. He was a middle-aged man with little hair. The total meal was $110, and we ended up paying around $135. When I asked the waiter, she said they don't get any tips at all, so I don't know if the tip was taken by the manager or the boss.

I had a terrible experience at this establishment. I explicitly informed the front desk that we were a party of three, and the staff confirmed it. Initially, they said the restaurant was fully booked, but then they led us to an absurdly low coffee table. We came here to have a proper meal, not to hunch over a tiny table like we’re just grabbing a cup of coffee. Would the staff themselves eat at such an uncomfortable table in a dim corner? Meanwhile, the other guests were seated at normal, high tables. It felt like we were shoved aside like insignificant nuisances.
When we refused the table, they finally said they’d check for available seats. Eventually, they brought us to the bar area, only to offer two seats for the three of us! After we reminded them again that we were three people, the staff looked confused and took us back to the front desk. To make matters worse, the front desk manager ignored us at first, busy handling someone else’s phone call. When they finally addressed us, their response was dismissive, saying we’d have to join the waitlist for another hour and twenty minutes.
The entire experience was frustrating and disrespectful. It was clear they had no interest in solving our problem or treating us with basic courtesy. The staff seemed poorly trained, inattentive, and indifferent to the needs of their customers. It felt like dealing with goldfish who forgot everything the moment it was said.
Save yourself the disappointment and don’t bother visiting this place. You’ll just leave feeling disrespected and upset.

We celebrated a family birthday at Il Postino and had an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. Making the reservation online was very easy and convenient, and their team replied to our email inquiry promptly and professionally, which made planning smooth and stress-free.
We had an excellent dining experience, and the cozy private room arranged for us contributed greatly to the comfort and enjoyment of our celebration. The atmosphere was warm, intimate, and charming, perfect for a special occasion without feeling overly formal.
The service was truly exceptional. The young lady (Melanie Sala) serving us tonight was the best of the best , warm, attentive, patient, and genuinely thoughtful. My family and I were visiting from the United States and were looking for a local restaurant that served real Afghan cuisine--and Bamiyan Kabob exceeded our expectations.
Heads-up to fellow Americans:
If you're visiting from the United States, bring Canadian cash! Credit and debit cards issued in the United States are not accepted here. Nonetheless, the staff was really helpful and attentive while explaining their payment procedure. They walked me through the alternatives with no haste or attitude, which made the experience even more inviting.
I ordered the Sultani Plate, which included a skewer of tender koobideh and a perfectly grilled barg kabob. The meat was juicy, tasty, and beautifully grilled. The rice was buttery and fragrant, and the side salad provided a welcome fresh crunch. My wife and kids chose the Chicken Chapli Kabab Plate, and we were all impressed. The patties were juicy, seasoned just right, and went perfectly with the rice and naan. It's a terrific choice for both adults and children, as it's tasty but not overly spicy. We also got Mango Shakes and bottled water. The shakes were thick and creamy, with a tropical sweetness that complemented the savory foods well. A terrific way to calm down and finish the meal.
Atmosphere-wise, the setting was clean, family-friendly, and busy--but service was efficient. You could tell this place is popular among locals, and for good reason. The salmon spaghetti(forgot the menu name) which I think was overly oily, but the salmon and flavor was really good. The Ravioli Madalina had the same issue for me too, oily. But waitress said it’s good for dipping bread. Considering they offer olive oil with appetizer bread, guess maybe it is the Italian style. I do love the wild mushroom ravioli as I like truffle flavor, and enjoyed dipping sauce with bread. Lamb Chop was amazingly seared , love too. One more word, the freshly baked bread is perfect. Highly recommended. If don’t like too much oil, probably should request when placing order.

We came in hungry for food, we ordered the fried calamari, veal pasta, meat lover pizza and veal ravioli. The calamari arrived first but unfortunately it was bland and lacking flavour I wished they put a sauce to dip. All the other food took 1 hour to arrive including the complimentary bread the waitresses said that it was in the oven but the bread came cold. The pizza was the best thing I ate, I loved the crust. The pasta was okay very oily and the veal was so dry and thin. The ravioli was like a dumping filled with meat with no flavour it was served with a butter sauce which was too heavy in my opinion and it was still lacking flavour. And can I just say there plating is not the best like if you look in the photos the lemon was a whole slice they didn’t even half it. The server was okay and nothing special, I feel like they need more people cuz she kept saying there is too many people and she so very busy. The atmosphere was nice nothing special. For the overall experience was not worth the money considering the food TOOK 1 HOUR.

This was my first visit to Folco's but hopefully not my last. It was a dinner with a long time friend and the atmosphere and service were both perfect for the occasion. We shared an order of fried calamari, which was lightly battered, cooked perfectly and drizzled with a delicious balsamic vinaigrette. I had a penne pasta with a bolognese sauce which was slightly sweet, very meaty and delicious. My friend had the spaghetti pescatore, which had a generous serving of seafood and pasta and a light sauce. Our server was professional, attentive but not overly and made sure that we could take as long as we needed to catch up with each other. Folco's was the perfect spot to restart our friendship.

We had a birthday lunch celebration with about 10 of us. The guest of honour chose Ambiyan since they have been in the past.
Decided to order a bunch of appetizers and entrees to share family style. So everything from naans, dips, flavoured rice, several different paneers, vegan bhindi, butter chicken, lamb tikka and a few other dishes I lost track of.
What surprised me was no tandoori chicken which I thought was a standard dish at most Indian restaurants. This dish done right would certainly give you a glimpse as to the products used and taste profile that the kitchen can produce. The dish I enjoyed most was the lamb chops they were done very well. The other dishes like the butter chicken was a bit on the sweet side. Overall the food was just okay. Nothing really stood out for me. Flavours not as pungent and aromatic as I liked. For what we had it was priced on the higher end. The service was average. Generally we were not impressed with this dinning experience.

We recently visited Ambiyan restaurant in Unionville. It gives fine dine vibe with decent prices. We ordered malai kofta, paneer tikka masala, wheat roti and pudina paratha. We got complementary mango lassi shots. Portion size was generous for 2 people.
Though I was looking for more options in appetizers but the food we got was really good. Paneer was on little sweet note while we were told it’s spicy but I still liked it. Overall a good experience. Would recommend anyone looking for North Indian cuisine in Markham, do give this place a try.

Was not happy with our experience here. This used to be one of my favourite spots growing up. It's gone downhill. We brought our friends who were visiting from London and felt so bad.
Our server was rude. No smile. Looked like she didn't want to be working there. Didn't want to answer any questions or offer any suggestions. Only smiled at the end when she came out with the bills.
Food did not taste great. Quesadilla was fine but the poutine was gross. We didn't finish it. There was a bee that fell into our drink and she told us that they won't do anything about it. Spoke to the manager about it after who replaced the drink.
Washroom needs a revamp. Toilet was cracked. Lights are so dim. You can't see anything. No paper towel. The case was empty.
It's time for a new management. We're so disappointed.
This used to be a favourite spot and I've organized socials to come here. Will not be coming here again.

Dropped by to welcome a friend back to Canada, and this place delivered more than we expected. We went in on the Party Pack 4, which came with a full rack, 1 lb wings with their signature BBQ sauce, 1 lb pulled pork, coleslaw, beans, fries, cornbread, and a tub of sauce. On top of that, we added Pig Skins and a pound of pulled brisket just because we couldn’t help ourselves.
To my taste, things leaned a bit saucy overall, but wow, the balance was something else. Ribs just fell apart with a bite, no knife needed. Pulled pork and brisket weren’t overly tender like some others, but still super satisfying and kind of addictive once you get into it. Wings and fries hit the mark, no need to overthink. Pig Skins were a great suggestion from the server too, no regrets there.
Even though it seemed like only one person was running the floor, service was attentive and easygoing. No lineup, quick turnaround, and just good vibes. Only wish the AC was working a bit stronger, but honestly, when the food hits this well, you kinda forget the rest.
Already planning to come back so I can go deeper into the sauces and maybe build my own plate next time. Real solid spot.

Came here on the recommendation of someone at the gym nearby. Overheard me and my buddy discussing food options in Markham, as we came to check out the new Goodlife. He recommended Big Bone. We were in the mood for some protein-heavy food, so we decided to bite the bullet.
Got there, and was seen by the waiter in about 5 minutes and were seated. There were approximately 8 x 4-seater tables, 2 tables were free so we grabbed it.
Ordered the Big Bone meal which comes with 1/2 rack ribs, and wings and fries. I ordered the brisket separately, and my buddy ordered another rack of ribs.
I started with the wings, and it was 10/10. I accidentally ordered the dry rub, and I know how I like my wings, fresh and crispy. They were both.
Then I tried the ribs, and when I tell you, they were probably the most tender and tasty ribs I've ever had. They were 10/10.
Then I went on and took a bite of my brisket, and omg, it was the juiciest and most tender brisket I've ever tried. One area this dish could probably use some improvement is the bun. I think it becomes way too filling when its on a bun. It would be amazing if they tried it with some bread instead. HOWEVER, I ate half with the bun, and ended up taking off the bun and just eating the brisket meat with the dipping sauce, and it was just as enjoyable.
We were so full, we didn't even try the fries.
Alecia was our server and she was fantastic. It was as if the chefs in the back made the food, and without waiting a second, she brought it to our table, it was SO FRESH.
I will be back 100%.

Had an absolutely wonderful experience here! Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with authentic Indian flavors — rich, balanced, and not overly heavy or oily, which made the meal feel healthy and thoughtfully prepared.
The appetizers, chicken sampler and BBQ salmon tikka arrived sizzling hot and fresh, with tender, perfectly marinated kebabs layered over crisp veggies and a squeeze of lemon that brightened each bite. The mains were equally impressive, the creamy palak panner and the Dal tarka were full of depth and spice, paired perfectly with the soft, fragrant naan and rumali roti.

Seeing their reviews I and a friend went to have lunch here. We decided to try their Dum Pukht biryani special and rara chicken. It was highly disappointing. The rice dint seem cooked well there was this crispy taste coming in every bite. The rara chicken that we ordered I don’t even know what it was. If it was water, gravy or oil that was accumulated at one side and chicken on the other side. It had no taste. It is expensive for no reason as the taste doesn’t justify the price. There are much better options in Scarborough that offer delicious food for better price.
Towards the bill payment we asked the server to split the bill it was a total of 57.50 which he then rounded up the price without notifying. So we each paid 29. Emmm...本来看了评论报着服务很差吃的还可以的心态来的，结果却发现不仅菜不怎么样，服务也不怎么样。真的算是鄙人在多伦多吃过最差的一顿饭了，我们下午一开门就来了，点完菜之后等了很久才开始上菜，然而炸物一个一个上来之后真的是没法形容，感觉就像微波炉热的端上来，天妇罗压根就是凉的可能是中午剩的。基本上每一个菜品都就那样（nan chi），唯一感觉欣慰的就是抹茶焦糖布丁很好吃，抹茶味很浓，三文鱼刺身还比较新鲜，火炙寿司还行，这些算是所有菜品里说得过去的。你我们吃了一个小时之后就last call了，我从来没有见过哪家餐厅一个小时last call。last call之后就把点餐的iPad收走了，导致我们最后想喝个可乐都没法点。很失望甚至有点愤怒，以后不会再来了。
我从搬到多伦多之后就一直吃他们家，服务相当好，东西也好吃，和他们家的服务员们，经理关系都非常好，每次去都给我折扣，因为疫情的原因已经有大半年没吃了，今天再次光顾，依然那么好吃。

早茶到处都有，而且比这家餐厅装修更好的大有地方在，要不是为了拿回我们的钱，根本就不会来这家吃饭，道歉态度还如此随便，直接拉黑了。

The night before, we had dinner here. The staff accidentally charged me for two orders of stir-fried water spinach. We only noticed after we left, so we called the restaurant. The staff told us to come back the next day to get a refund.
So the next day, we made a special trip just to get our money back — and ended up having dim sum there again ⚠️ But let me be clear: we only ate there again because we came to get our money back. Otherwise, we wouldn’t have come back at all.
We arrived at 10 a.m., but the manager didn’t show up until 10:30. A perfectly thought out experience in an intimate setting. I was very impressed with the chefs tasting menu, presentation and service. Everything was great, and light. Blown away by the experience. Finding it (and parking) was a little challenging, but it is worth the money and effort.
Every course was crafted with care, and the service was top notch. I've never had pork as good as high grade japanese wagyu beef (which I have tried) until coming here; I can still taste how perfectly juicy and sweet each small bite I took to savour the flavour was. Honestly, the chef must have used some sort of magic to make it so delicious because I was brought to tears and my sister laughed at me for it. But it was REALLY that good.
I really appreciate that they had a non-alcoholic drink pairing, as we both prefer not to drink alcohol. The drinks were just as carefully paired and prepared as the food, and the sommelier was so knowledgeable about different preparation methods.
Seriously, I wish everyone could try this restaurant at least once in their life. It was an experience I won't soon forget!

So yummy! We tried something savoury and something sweet to see how each paired with the waffles and we had no complaints! I went with the waffle Benny and then we finished it off with a Strawberry n’ Banana dish. I also had their hot chocolate and it was simply delicious! Visited around 10:45 a.m. on a Tuesday. The café is tucked beside Shoppers Drug Mart, with plenty of parking available. You pass through a charming patio to enter, which was shaded nicely thanks to the size of the Shoppers building.
Given the recent heatwave, we opted to sit indoors. We were greeted at the door and offered the choice between a two-person table tucked farther inside or a four-person table closer to other diners. We chose the smaller table for a bit more privacy and ease of conversation.
Menus were provided right away, followed shortly by tap water. When our server checked in to ask about drinks, we let her know we were fine with just water. Later, when we were ready to order, she came promptly when we called her over.
A standout moment: we ordered just one smoothie, and she kindly asked if we were sharing, then offered to split it into two cups without us even asking. A thoughtful and appreciated gesture.
The Pineapple Banana Smoothie was a highlight. It was perfectly balanced between sweet and tart, and incredibly refreshing.
My sister ordered the Halloumi Benedict. She noted that while the waffles leaned toward a sweeter flavor on their own, the combination of waffle, egg, and halloumi was well-balanced and worked beautifully together. The egg was jammy and spot-on in terms of taste, texture, and presentation.
I had the Fully Loaded, which features a potato waffle topped with bacon bits, sour cream, chives, and cheese. It leaned a bit salty, but not overwhelmingly so, still quite enjoyable overall. I loved the potato waffle which has the slightly crispy edges but was soft to bite with a texture that resembled mash potatoes. As someone who isn't usually crazy about waffles, which was such a nice alternative.
Each of our mains came with a side salad (lightly dressed and refreshing) and a choice of fruit salad, maple baked beans, or potato salad. We both chose the fruit salad, which was impressively varied with orange, grapefruit, watermelon, blueberry, blackberry, and banana.

Starving Artist is one of our go-to spots for breakfast in Markham. It's minutes from our house, and not only that we actually like the food. Although this is a busy brunch restaurant, the turnover happens fast, and we have never waited more than 30 minutes for a seat.
Starving Artist has a wide array of coffees and teas as well as waffles and 'Bennies. We have tried quite a few of the drinks during our visits, and we have tried many of their signature dishes.
The staff are great and always accommodating and very patient when my kids can't make up their minds about what they want to eat or drink. The servers have helped my kids on more than one occasion make up their minds. This is a great place for breakfast, brunch or even late afternoon coffee, and we try to go at least once a month.

Ok Google reader whoever you are. Prepare yourself for an essay (maybe I'll leave a TL;DR at the bottom so you can scroll down now I guess).
I first visited this place back in 2018 for a friend's bday. She and her partner had their bdays around the same time so it was a basically a joint bday celebration. We ordered basically all the cocktails on the menu and we were also able to try most of the tapas on the menu at the time. The ones that stuck out to me back then were the truffle fried rice, smoked duck, fried chicken as well as their take on tofu. Oh and the cocktail that came w/ a pork belly skewer haha.
It must've been a memorable experience because I never forgot about this resto (even though I forgot to write a review).
Fast forward to present day. I recently came again for a private event. One of my close friends got married and instead of hosting his reception at a formal venue with festivities he and his wife opted for a lowkey, casual dinner here with all of their closest friends in attendance.
We booked the whole resto (basically 2 long tables) for dinner time starting at 7pm. Idk what set menu(s) or special combo deal he arranged with the resto owners but I do recall it being very affordable for all the incredible food and drinks we were able to sample. I'd say we got to try around 80-85% of the whole menu (food & drinks combined)!
The menu has obviously changed slightly since then but some of the classics have remained (like the fried chicken and the truffle fried rice).
Of the appetizers/banchan the one that stood out surprisingly to our entire party was the brussel sprouts. I have no idea what sauce they put on the brussels but it was so yummy. The sprouts had incredible char/cook on them so they tasted super meaty. I couldn't believe I was eating veggies LOL.
Of the mains, the ones that stood out the most to me were the shrimp toast, fried chicken (of course), braised rendang, cherry bbq pork belly rice and uni risotto. I think my top 3 in order was:
1. Uni risotto (SUPER creamy and SO MUCH UMAMI)
2. Fried chicken (the skin shattered like glass)
3. Shrimp Toast (I don't think I've had such a bougie shrimp toast before LOL)
Dessert was interesting. I enjoyed it! I thought it tasted great before I looked at it on the menu and realized it was supposed to have ube and pandan in it. Didn't taste much ube or pandan but that's probably the point because of the strong berry sauce accompanying the cheesecake.
I tried a multitude of the cocktails but my fave HAD to be the Donkey's Villain Arc. Taste-wise it was perfect to me (easy to get drunk on). Victoria's Dirty Little Secret was the most instagrammable imo but taste-wise a lil too heavy on the whiskey for me (I prefer Whiskey Sour as a cocktail).
Shoutout to our server, Christian, who attended to all of us throughout the night (both tables). Very knowledgeable and patient with the drink suggestions!
Plates of food kept coming out to us piping hot. One might think that because everything was shareable we wouldn't get full but that was far from the case! Everyone was stuffed, had a great time and the food was fantastic!

I heard that Azyun has changed into a noodle bar concept and wanted to give it a try. I had the 2 for $40 meal which included good fried chicken and eggplant that was decent. Unfortunately, the two soup noodles were the worst soup noodles I’ve had in years. The broths were overly salty and the noodle that came with the beef satay tasted so awful. I couldn’t even finish it and I am someone that always finishes their meals. I was left very disappointed and not once did the waitress come by to ask us if we were finding everything okay. We upgraded the drink to a yuzu sunrise and it was insanely sour ! I had to dilute it with the tap water on the table. The only good thing was the fried chicken option I selected.

The Taro chips were very addicting! We ended up getting two bowls!!
I've never had chilled noodles. I thought they were interesting and tasted pretty good (I did add some extra chili oil because I love spicy food🌶)
The slow braised brisket dish was well done. The only thing I found was that it had just a little bit too much mint for me, but overall, the meat was super tender.
Lastly, the fried chicken! It was delicious! The skin was super crispy. The house hot sauce that came with it was super flavourful.

We chose to eat at this spot because of other reviews and ratings, also because the menu seemed to be a cool concept on Asian dishes. They also had a set menu price which was very well priced.
The place is small and outdated. The day we went it was quite cold outside and inside as well. I kept my jacket on the whole time.
The best part about my experience here was the waitress. She was so sweet and polite. She did an amazing job.
The cocktail drinks were delicious. I had the Victorias Dirty Little Secret.
My wife had the Manila Mama.
We chose the Set Menu for Two as well as ordering a side of Dumplings - Yehs Dumplings Original Recipe.
The dumplings were very tasty. They had a good amount of filling and a nice crispy layer on top. The only thing I don’t enjoy was the sauce that accompanied it. It had a very bitter taste.
Option 1 we were able to choose two items. The chilled noodles was my favourite dish I had that day. They had a nice texture, the noodles were springy and had a bite to it. The sauce was sweet and it left a very fresh feel in the mouth.The torched edamame was different. I did enjoy it and it was the first time I ever had torched edamame.
Option 2 we picked the pho beef tartare.
It wasn’t horrible. The seasoning did taste like Pho but the texture of the tartare was hard and very chewy. I wasn’t able to taste the meet as the PHo seasoning was very intense and overpowered the dish.
Option 3 we went with the waitresses recommendation which was the Fried chicken.
The chicken was truly deep fried so much so that all I could taste was the oil and left a very unpleasant after taste in my mouth. It also damaged my stomach for days following which is not Azyuns fault but rather my own as I’m not supposed to be eating Fried Food.
Option 4 we choose Cherry BBQ Pork Belly Rice.
The rice was bland and oily. the pork Belly wasn’t crispy but the sauce was sweet and matched well.
Overall the price and quantity of food received was very much worth it.
I would come back to try other items on this menu but nothing that I had previously ordered besides the Chilled noodles.

Grear place! Service and the atmosphere were great, and the food was mostly great. The cold noodles were great. The eggplant (which came out second) was a little too sweet, which kind of messed up our pallets for the brisket, which had very mild flavors. Spring rolls were the highlight for me, and the bbq pork fried rice was good.

Came here last night to try their set menu for 2 and it was amazing! What an experience for our mouths. We picked the eggplant, cold noodles, beef tartar, caviar risotto, and fried chicken and it was all amazing! 🤩
We particularly thought the eggplant 🍆 and beef tartar was very unique and a must try 🍽️. Following those, the fried chicken 🍗 and cold noodles also we're amazing - the chicken was so moist and crispy, and the kick & flavor of the noddles was 🔥. Lastly, the caviar risotto though very creamy and yummy 😋, was missing some sort of wow factor. Don't get me wrong though, it was still amazing!
We ended off with dessert which was not part of the set menu and was made during one of their iron chef challenges. I forgot exactly what it was called but it was essentially an ube-centered rice ball deep fried in a crusty coconut layer, surrounded but fruity drops on the plate. It was super unique from most desserts we tried and yummy as well!
Shout out to the server who was also super knowledgeable, friendly, and patient 👏🏽
Overall, for the price point ($65 for set menu for 2 & $12 for dessert, before tax+tip) and the quality of food and service, this place is a must try! You won't be disappointed.

Amazing food! Highly recommend reserving beforehand as it is very small! Ordered the set menu for 2 and signature dumplings as they ran out of lobster:
1. brussel sprouts (5/5) thai chile and peanuts - amazing
2. eggplant (4/5) sliced a bit too thin and sesame oil heavy but not bad
3. curry shrimp cake (5/5) came with four large triangles - unexpectedly delicious, perfectly lightly fried and flavourful!
4. manila clams (5/5) absolutely loved the broth and fluffy fried mantou that came with it!

Amazing experience as always this time with my mom at Azyun Restaurant. I particularly enjoyed the fried chicken this time around, definitely the execution this time is near flawless! The batter is spot on, and the meat of the chicken near the bones is well cooked through, so no blood and not a little bit raw. I also enjoyed the pork belly fried rice as well. I had the Victoria's Secret mocktail which is mainly ginger beer flavoured, first time having this and I was impressed by the taste! Definitely will come here to have lunch or dinner often. :)

感觉挺适合聚餐的，口味偏南方，有点甜，汤很不错。没有点贵的菜，都是比较实惠的家常菜系，价格不是很便宜的但是可以接受。就是门脸有点过于低调，开车差点错过，不是很容易发现。一开始以为是私房菜。
太难吃了，服务我就不点评了，难吃是真的难吃。估计都是买来的再加热？油条拿上来是冷的，反应了之后拿回去又炸了一遍给我端上来了？猪脚，鸡脚都没有煮熟的感觉，猪脚上毛都没有处理，附图大家自己看吧。装修不错。

肉夹馍肯定是必点的，饼皮非常有特色，酥脆口感，肉馅儿多汁且不柴。我最喜欢腊汁猪肉味，虽然是猪肉，但就算吃到最后一口也不会觉得腻。
馄炖清香，汤汁微辣，恰到好处，我基本喝到一滴都不剩。
凉皮儿一绝，鲜香浓辣，非常推荐。
搭配一杯酸煤汤，清清爽爽，特别满足。
份量也非常足，一个肉夹馍➕馄炖/凉皮➕酸梅汤/豆浆，一个combo下来，我吃到撑得不行，食量小的可能勉强能吃完。
室内装修也比较大气上档次，简约又时尚，希望疫情早点过去可以尽快堂食。

趁着工作日的中午去的，对排的明显短很多，只有横着一排都没转弯，排了大概半小时进的店。
门口有店员发 boarding pass，每人一张，每一张限购两个套餐或者六个单品。
点了一个A4套餐，里面有黑椒牛霖肉夹馍+鲜汤小馄炖+油泼辣子摇摇薯条。馍很好吃，皮酥就不用多说了，馅料是黑椒牛肉粒+蘑菇粒，一口咬下去口感特别好。鲜汤小馄炖偏淡口，鲜香解辣，不过是小吃的大小，没有馍只点一碗馄炖的话肯定不够吃。油泼辣子薯条味道是不错的，可惜放久了薯条会变软，刚拿到手就得吃，不要像我一样一开始就吃了几根，饭后吃口感就变糯了。本来还想点一个A1套餐，里面有经典腊汁肉夹馍+鸡骨浓汤酸辣粉+碳酸饮料，但不是很想吃腊肉的也不想要碳酸饮料，于是单点了一个黑椒牛霖馍，一个鸡骨浓汤酸辣粉，喝一杯不加冰的酸梅汤。酸辣粉略酸但是非常好吃。

我是下午3:40左右到的，已经排了很长时间的队啦！
我们是站在队尾！想去体检一下的小伙伴建议可以早点去排队，这样所有产品都可以体验到！我们当时去的时候牛肉味，孜然猪肉的肉夹馍还有凉皮已经卖完了！下次还会去尝尝看！
下面说说我吃的东西吧，这个馄饨强烈推荐味道超级奈斯！感觉如果不限量的话我一个人能出五碗！😂第二个就是这个酸梅汤配上肉夹馍，那叫一个觉！夏天吗，酸梅汤特别的清爽解口！最后说说压轴的这个肉夹馍，这个肉夹馍的外皮特别酥脆，配上肥瘦适中的卤肉，吃一口回味无穷！！！！但是听我朋友说牛肉味的肉夹馍的口感要更nice一些！！
最后的最后，如果大家想去打卡体验的话，给大家一个小小的tips，如果想吃到全部餐品可能要早点排队哦！他们是先到先得，售完为止！
11点40分开始排队，13点21分等到我点单。我以为都是年轻人过来，后来发现竟然一大半都是广东和香港的中老年朋友。我点的菌菇肉夹馍，菌菇很鲜美很嫩，但是肉太少了。小馄饨也偏少了，饮料果断换酸梅汤，酸梅汤好评！朋友点了原味肉夹馍说还不错，大家可以试试原味或者牛肉的，孜然的排第三。酸辣粉和凉皮可以多点几份，好吃量不多。

We all know and remember Haida as “HAIDA” — well known for its cold cut sandwiches. But when a business decides to add too many new items to the menu, it risks damaging its reputation. Adding coffee, pizza, and burgers doesn’t seem like the right direction for a brand that was once famous for great sandwiches.
Today, we visited the place and ordered coffee and croissants — one with Nutella and one with ice cream. After waiting for about 30 minutes (or maybe longer) because the staff seemed too busy handling Uber Eats and online pickup orders, we finally received our coffee and croissants.
They were nicely presented but unfortunately not fresh — the croissants were dry. When you pay $14 for one and $9 for the other, you expect better quality. Paying around $45 in total still feels excessive for what we received. On top of that, every time the door opened for customers coming and going, cold air rushed in, making the place quite uncomfortable.
I highly recommend that Haida focus on what it was originally known for — great sandwiches — to avoid damaging the strong reputation it once had.

This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. It took over 45 minutes to receive a single sandwich. After half an hour, the server actually came over to ask what we had ordered — clearly they had lost track of our ticket. We weren’t the only ones suffering, either. Other tables were visibly annoyed, and one couple even asked for a refund after waiting too long.
The excuse we got was that it was their grand opening, but somehow they already have thousands of glowing reviews — which makes me seriously question their authenticity. Meanwhile, the person who looked like the manager spent the entire time texting behind the counter, completely disengaged, while one poor waitress ran around doing everything — taking orders, serving food, packing takeout, and trying to calm down frustrated customers.
When my Haida Royal sandwich (a whopping $20.99 before tax) finally arrived, it was an utter letdown — bland, with no depth of flavor beyond the taste of pickles and hot dog meat. After nearly an hour of waiting, that’s just insulting.
Overall, the place felt chaotic, poorly managed, and completely unprepared to serve customers. Save yourself the frustration and your money — there are plenty of better sandwich spots in the city.

I visited Haida Restaurant around 12:10 a.m. hoping to dine in after a long day, but unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. When I arrived, the staff member at the counter told me that dine-in was closed, even though I could clearly see that other customers were still being seated and served inside at the same time. It was confusing and frustrating because it seemed like the dine-in option was being selectively offered — it honestly looked like only certain groups of people (mainly Irani customers) were being allowed to stay, while others were turned away.

When I decided to take food to go, the food quality didn’t make up for the poor service. The items were cold, lacked flavor, and didn’t match the usual standards that Haida is known for. It was a disappointing end to what could’ve been a relaxing late-night meal.
Overall, this experience left a negative impression not just because of the food, but because of the way customers were treated differently. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and ensures that all guests are treated equally and respectfully, regardless of background or timing.

If you like several tiny bones in your sushi rice, then please eat here.
I ordered here on Sunday sept 7 around 6pm for the 32 piece rumbling tray. I’m not sure if the chef that made the eel was next to a pile of fish bones, however EVERY SINGLE PIECE of eel sushi had fish bones all over and embedded in the rice and I had choked on it. I’m not talking one piece of fish bone, there was at least 3-5 pieces of bone in every piece. I had to throw them out. Adding a picture of one of them if you look closely because the bones were fully embedded in the rice that it made it inedible essentially. I’m not sure their working conditions on why it was in every single piece, I can understand maybe a one off piece but this is every single piece and several pieces of bone too.
I’m disgusted and completely turned off and will never order here again

The Lobster is really good and worthy for revisit, however, the service is really really horrible here. We went on Sunday noon and when we came into the restaurant, no one came to serve us. We wait for few minutes and finally someone came. The staffs walking around and nobody come to ask if we need help or if we want to order, we have to request help by raising hands.
Another problem is they only take Canadian debit card or cash.
Overall, I’ll still recommend you to try to lobster here, it’s in a fair price and taste really wonderful.

We are from Vancouver, On September 29, 2023 We ordered a 8.16 lbs big lobster but the kitchen took away almost all its 2 huge claws that were as big as its body. So we ended up getting about only about 4 lbs. we was sure, just didn’t find many claws parts when we had the dishes. We became 100% sure when we went to the other branch “big lobster restaurant” on October 6, 2023, we ordered only 6.2 lbs, and the lobster ended up a lot more on the table than the first time, and I found the claw parts with lots of meat, which was delicious. I guest the reason was that we only ordered the 8.16 lbs big lobster for 3 adults and didn’t order other food, so the restaurant didn’t make much profit so they stole the lobster claw from us, and that they knew we are tourists at the first time. I am really angry, because we flew all the way from Vancouver to try their food but we were treated like fools. I can show you the picture, 1 and 2 are the 8 lbs live ( see the big claw); 3 the 4 are the 2 dishes from the lobster, 3 was full of French fries but we don’t see the big claws cut into pieces of triangles; 4 is the other steam dish, which is very small portion as well; 5 is 6 lbs the lobster live, and 6 and 7 are the dishes from the 6 lbs lobster, no French fries. So I suggest you guys don’t order the ish with French fries, I think it is called “Hong Kong style”; because you might lose a lot of lobster meats with that dish. And this one doesn’t taste well. I did not have time to demand the restaurant for a refund, but I will do it later! First time here with my family and it didn't disappoint. Finding an Austrian restaurant is difficult, so expectations are high. There were so many great choices. We had the cabbage rolls, dumplings, meat platter (2 plate sized schnitzel, 2 smoked pork chops, 2 sausages, sauerkraut, and pan fried potatoes), palatschinken (apricot crepes), and apple fritters. Every worker I interacted with was very warm and kind. The service was top notch. My friends and I were even talking about it afterwards. Very laid back and chill place.
We sat on the patio, which was empty on a super hot day, but being covered from the sun, we decided it was fine. I love a covered patio. The inside was nice and cool when I used the super clean bathrooms. Note that they are downstairs, so not fully accessible.
The food was good. Lots of meat on the sandwich, which had soft bread. The fries were basic. The beverage was served nice and cold.

Decided to visit this pub on a whim with a friend while we were walking along Unionville on Monday. We sat on the patio because it was a lovely day outside. We asked to sit closer to the back and they accommodated that. Unfortunately, it took almost 20-25 minutes to be seen by a server. The server took our order (without writing anything down) and 2 minutes later came back out to ask me “what did you order again?”. At this point, we also asked for our bills to pay for the meal since it took so long to be seen and noticed the tables beside us were waiting for their bills for the same amount of time we had been waiting (they were growing frustrated as well). We did not want to be stuck waiting for our bills after our meals. The server did not come back with the bill like we asked until the end of our meal and after having to ask 2 different servers for our bills. On our receipt, it says our server’s name was Farrah- she was short and had brown hair that was tied into a ponytail.
We received our food which was pretty good. We had ordered spinach dip to share, I got the beef dip sandwich with sweet potato fries and my friend got a steak with mashed potatoes and veggies. We both enjoyed our meals.
Unfortunately the incredibly slow service was disappointing and ruined our experience with this restaurant, even though the food was great. Probably would not come back.

After a long one hour waiting, our steaks finally served. "Be careful the plate is hot" that's a very true statement the only warm thing is the pale. The steak is over cooked. It's a very good exercise to chew the steak. And vegetables still raw. Five out of five experience.

Our server was super amazing. Her name is Kat. She let us know about the happy hour. She was so pleasant and happy to be in her job. She talked about the organization in a positive light it is great to find someone happy with their job.
Kat checked in on us regularly to see.if we needed refill or anything. Kudos to Kat

The food and service was really good. The ambience and their architecture is really something lol 😂 It's not regular at all. I enjoyed ALL the meals I ordered. Their cocktails are the truth and the redwine was good. The waitress was really polite and helpful.
MEALS came in good time too. My friend and I I had pasta with chicken, ceasar salad, buffalo chicken wings and fries, red wine and a cocktail. All the meals were good and it was quiet enough to have a conversation and seem private without being too expensive.

Very disappointing.
I wasn't in the mood for their breakfast so I ordered a burger. Look at the photo to see how small this is. This is what I get for $20?
One of our friends ordered French onion soup. It was barely warm. Calamari came and we don't think it was quite cooked properly. Two of us have upset stomachs so who knows I might be updating this review about half an hour. I won't attach photos though.
Rest of the food was okay, but expensive for what it is. I realized costs of gone up but this seemed excessive.
I'm assuming this place is surviving purely on its reputation because there are definitely better options

It was a bit noisy. Waitress forgot to bring my husband more coffee. The food was good. The fajitas could have been more spicy and the tortillas need to be larger. They are too small to wrap.
