I started with a mango margarita and my friend had the blackberry margarita. Both of the drinks were yummy and refreshing. We then ordered the crab rangoon dip and the BLTA with fries to share. This is where I marked down stars in my review for service— the food took over 45 minutes to come out!! It was a good thing we were there for a leisurely lunch because that is a long time to wait for food. The food itself was all very tasty— the crab dip was hot and it worked well with the fried naan bread it was served with. The BLTA was balanced and the jalapeño bacon gave it a nice kick. The multi-grain bread it was served on held up well to the sandwich. The French fries were also perfectly hot and crispy. Overall, we enjoyed our visit to Scarlet and would return— the fantastic flavors in the food made up for the lack of speed from the kitchen.

But here I am after 10+ years coming back for a birthday dinner for my mom. Yet again nothing but disappointment. I am not one to piss and moan but when it is this terrible I have no choice. My side salad was the best thing I ate. I talked to the staff the first 2 times I had eaten here and clearly it doesn't help. The meals are over prised for the portions. The meat is ALWAYS dry. My brisket dinner was clearly dry pot roast just like it has been in all the other bad comments and served on a soggy piece of lettuce. I'd be embarrassed to bring that plate out. We had said something to the waiter and made the comment that I would not serve it again and the waiter just snickered and walked away instead of figuring out why. Therefore we did not even want to look at dessert options for my mom's birthday. Not that is was even offered anyways we just wanted to leave and get food elsewhere for our family. Things cleary don't change for the better. Do everyone a favor and just take your brisket off the menu. This spot could be utilized better with another business for sure.

Three of us drove from the Twin Cities to Redwing to enjoy a Godfather's Combo pizza. This has been a treat for me since the 1980's when Godfather's was present in many towns. Slowly they have disappeared from Minnesota and we have to plan a drive for an indulgence. We checked their website, it showed them open until 8 pm. Arriving early for dinner, 3:30 pm, we walked around the Pottery place checking out some of the shops. At about 4:15 pm, entered through the inside entrance, noting the same 8 pm closing time on the door. Noticing no customers and many tables uncleaned with pizza pans, plates and leftovers we asked a young lady that was bussing tables if they were open. She indicated yes so we went to the counter to order. A young man came out from the back, took our order including fountain drinks and asked if we were dining in. We said yes paid for our order. Only to hear someone in the back yell the dining room is closed. Our cashier then told us we would have to take our order to go. We asked him to cancel the order as the pizza would be cold before we got home. Also explained that we drove some distance for this dining experience. The cashier had some difficulty refunding our cash so the "manager?" came out telling us they have been closing at 4 pm for sometime. The manager was quite blunt and didn't so much as offer an apology. Well walking out, we noticed that place was generally run down and looked to be on its last legs. So disappointed, sad to see another Godfather's that appears to be losing its appeal. Anyway if you are planning to visit, probably check before driving any distance to make sure they are open.

You can tell the chips are freshly fried and the salsa and bean dips they give you are great. Menu is huge which personally I like but does make it hard to decide too because so much looked good. There’s enough salt on these fries to cover the city of redwing after a blizzard. This is not the first time the fry was wet as if someone dipped it into something or spit on it.
