I was originally going to get a craft beer but the selection was pretty limited. To eat, we shared the pretzels and the sprouts. The pretzels were decent but the sprouts stood out for me, which is a bit surprising based on my normal preferences. To eat, we shared a 1/2 rueben, 1/2 pimento cheese (its cool they let you do 1/2s), and a small house salad. The salad was fantastic with the pecans and vinaigrette and of the two sandwiches, I'd lean to the pimento cheese.

We went for Sunday brunch and I ordered the meatloaf with hash potatoes. My friend she got the chicken and waffles and for appetizer we had the kimchi hush puppies. It was an ok meal for me it could have been better if I got 2/3 of meatloaf and less of the potatoes but it was the other way around so it was disappointing. We were in Wimberley for the last of the swimming for this year and I found Creekhoyse Kitchen on Google Maps based on reviews and distance. It turned out to be a very lively place with great live music and above all excellent service and great food. Such a nice view. Food and drinks are good. Service is decent although my wife and mother got passed over and ignored twice at the bar. Some of the servers look like they're in high school. The location is in a neat spot at least. We attempted to eat here Friday night at around 7 and were told there was an hr wait so we got on a waitlist but also looked elsewhere to eat. We got a text 1.5 hrs later that our table was ready but we had already eaten and back to our AirBnB by that time. When we got there Sat at around 5, there was no wait. The food we ordered were just ok. Out of everything we ate, the boudin balls were the best tasting. I ordered the Cajun pig sandwich, again, just ok. It may have been how I read the description, but I did not expect raw chopped onions in the sandwich. Had they been sautéed or grilled, I’d kept them on. That’s just my preference though. For almost a $3 cookie, I’d expect something a whole lot bigger rather than something that fits the size of my palm. Waited even longer because we were told one of the cookies broke and had to bake another. I even told our server to box it up anyways cuz in the end it was gonna get eaten regardless. Our table ended up being a high table in the bar area and all of the chairs were very wobbly and uneven due to the tile floor. I did notice two or three other open tables when we got inside so I was wondering why the wait was so long? The server was great and friendly but the wait for the food seemed a little bit longer than we typically wait at other restaurants. The potato skins were very dry and the hamburger might have been the saltiest burger I've ever eaten. Maybe not "salty", but just lots of seasoning or seasoned salt or something? Man, all the bread in the world would not get that burger back to normal levels. My buddy's burger was the same way. Overall, the place seemed pretty decent with inside and outside seating but the inside seating was very limited unless there was some other room that I didn't see. Our one server was managing the whole floor calmly, pleasantly with ease, a 8 top was finishing dinner, a single top, a two top we're ordering, we were settling in as a four top was arriving... Started with a small French Onion soup, the creamiest, richest take I've ever had - nearly a gravy, with baguette slice, cheese melted over and down the entire side of the bowl...so tasty we kept some as a dipping sauce for the Steak. Dinner was delicious, memorable, timely, incredibly generous proportion, cooked to perfection, exceeded our expectation. Steak and frites was the best cooked med rare, also asked for a side of dejon. Chicken Piccata was cheesy unique rice cake with a cream sauce... I could def ask for more sauce next time. Passed on dessert... Must remember to leave room for more. Leftovers were equally delicious the next day. Look forward to visiting for lunch, brunch and trying other menu items. Everything looks, sounds, seems to die for... The poached eggs were almost boiled (again, probably nuked in the microwave), and the whole thing didn’t really come together as a dish to me. The waiting staff a bit too casual for me; the place is cute but won’t be coming back. Good mimosa and cute place aren’t good enough, they need to improve the quality of their food.
