We’ve not had any bad experiences since we first started dining here years ago. During this particular trip, it was just my husband and I. We ordered Spring Roll Grilled Pork Sausage, Butterfly Clamari, Combination Pho, Combination ClayPotrice, and a Volcano sushi roll. The Spring roll was very simple and consisted of vermicelli noodles, lettuce, mint, cucumber and pork sausage. It was very refreshing and extremely delicious when paired with the provided peanut sauce. The portion for the Butterfly Calamari was quite a bit more than we had been expecting. It really could have been considered an entree. The calamari was not as crisp as I expected, however the calamari was perfectly cooked and paired well with the provided sauce. The broth for the Combination Pho was unfortunately a bit bland. I wish they had a few more sauces available to add to the Pho as all that was provided was hoisin sauce, sriracha and a mild-sour pepper sauce. I wanted to deviate from my normal order this time and so I opted for the Combination ClayPotRice and was not disappointed! It was very flavorful and all the ingredients mixed very well together. I appreciated the fact that they had rice on the side and not under the entree as I didn’t want soggy rice. The Volcano Roll came with a heaping amount of crab on top and was just and good as I remembered.

It was very crowded (two large parties came in right after us) but the waitresses were still friendly and attentive. We ordered the biscuits and gravy and the schnitzwich with a side of chicken and dumpling soup. We were there for the first time last night and they did an amazing job from the moment we walked in the door. We were greeted immediately by our friend Beth Rose and offered a drink from the bar, and if we wanted, we could take a relaxing history tour on the pontoon around the lake. YES, we certainly did! I highly encourage you to take the boat ride because it was both relaxing and extremely interesting—Captain Maxim Zernia really knows this lake's history. For dinner, we decided to try a range of options from starters that could have been considered dessert to some interesting new options we haven't had before! Everything was really delicious and we had no complaints at our table. My favorite item was for sure the Wisconsin Donuts! A Wisconsin cheese curd with a light and crispy funnel cake breading, served with house-made raspberry sauce. Absolutely delicious—you could start and finish a meal with an order of these treats. The Beet Salad was also a table pleaser, and Jake's PB Poppers were a hit. I had the Blackened Shrimp Bowl and Anne ordered the Pan Roasted Chicken. Our friends went with the Honey Bourbon BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger and Cheesy Truffle Orecchiette. As I mentioned, we were a happy group because everything was delicious. I had to erase my previous review so I could write a new one. After my last review and the food being so disgusting I was given a credit of $50 even though we spent over $100. I decided to order the blackened salmon with mashed potatoes, waffle fries, and also the Wonton Tacos. First, the salmon was the cheapest kind, it was so so tiny, and it was cold ,there was absolutely no blackened seasoning whatsoever or any other type of seasoning on it. The only thing that there is a lot of, is oil. Salmon produces its own oil so whoever made this must not have known that you don'tsoak it in oil. The mashed potatoes I could have thrown at a wall and they would have stuck. the waffle fries were also terrible. They were very saggy. The Wonton Tacos would have been okay except they must have made those first because by the time I got them, not only were they ice cold but the actual taco part of them was disgusting. I am now contacting the corporate office because this location needs to have a complete overhaul and retrained. I think they're hiring cooks that have no idea what they're doing. I have been to plenty of Applebee's and I've never had this experience, not once, not twice, but three times. I won't make the mistake a fourth time. When the lady finally brought my food out to me 45 minutes after I ordered, even though they told me 15 minutes, I told her it did not look like salmon and she said, it looks flaky, it's salmon. I said it doesn't look like there's any seasoning, She said, well eat it and find out. They are doing a great job. 6/23 I used Google assistant to find out if Charcoal Grill was busy and had room for one person. That worked really well. Every time I pass the West Bend Charcoal Grill it seems too crowded. I was pleased to find lots of room in the restaurant. This Charcoal Grill was very different from the Charcoal Grill in Grafton Wisconsin. I was warmly greeted at the door and was seated immediately. My server was pleasant, energetic, had a great attitude, and very attentive. Saw my needs before I needed it. I ordered the cheese bites, it's Spotted Cow beer battered breaded cheese cubes. Didn't really need ranch dressing. Very tasty, crisp, and cheesey. I ordered the chicken and ribs dinner, served with salad, waffle fries, and roasted vegetables (green beans and sliced carrots). I also received a small loaf of bread with regular and cinnamon whipped butter. Ribs were meaty, great barbeque sauce flavor and fall of the bone tender meat. The rotisserie chicken wasn't quite the same as the other Charcoal Grill in Grafton Wisconsin. Didn't have the excellent barbeque flavor. It did taste good, skin was crispy, and meat was tender. I really liked my server, she made up for two of the last places that I felt ignored. Like I wasn't a problem because I choose to eat alone.

This Culver's seems to always fall short of the standards. Culver's has always had a high quality standard so that is why I frequent these restaurants more than any other burger place. There's a huge menu, lots of options, Mexican, Italian, breakfast, lite, hamburgers, fish fry etc. I had the #2 Combo: Enchilada, Tostada and Flauta, flour tortillas and pork. Came with refried beans and rice. The tortilla was loaded. Tortilla tasted home made. Came with salsa and sour cream on the side. Wasn't too spicy. Tasted home made, home cooked. Huge portions. Everything tasted good. For dessert I had a slice of apple pie and a scoop of ice cream. The server kept checking on me. Every helpful when I needed water, more napkins and getting my dessert the way I wanted it. Watch out for the salsa that comes with the chips, it started out mild, then hit me later.
