No having to ask! Nice move. My wife had the spud bud with pulled pork (sorry no photo, food was too good to wait for me to get a photo), and I had the GF Ribs (not glazed), side of baked potato and salad. All of the sauces are gluten free and have great flavor (didn’t try the ghost pepper). The ribs were wonderfully done, great flavor and super tender. Highly recommend the baked potato with onions and cheese! The interior of the building is very cute with great decor. Staff was super helpful and attentive. We received several visits after we had our food to check on us and our meals. We will definitely be back for another visit.

They do have alot of signs posted about not sitting until you have a ticket which makes sense for the first come mindset. The service was good and the food cost was about the average you would pay for BBQ. My brisket was tender. I did not care to much for the baked beans. The flavor was good it was just the texture and the same for the potato salad. The food is filling even if the portions seem small its a good size. You won’t be disappointed. The place was very full with people, some were certainly travellers (Bishop hs lots of hotels) and some seemed to be locals. Staff were friendly and they seemed happy to work there. The food was exceptional and delivered quickly. Coffee was hot and good. Real cream on the table - excellent choice! The place was clean and the decor was cute and entertaining. The menu served all appetite capacities which is helpful for smaller appetites. We had come from the Grand Canyon a few days earlier where we grabbed a quick breakfast (3 McMuffins) and one coffee and paid $30. We paid a little over thirty here at Jack’s and had two full breakfasts -steak (moist and juicy, perfect) and eggs and a sausage and cheese omelette both with all of the trimmings. There is no comparison. We were robbed by McDonald’s (by our own choosing) but had great value at Jack’s. Don’t drive by if you are in the area. Stop and enjoy the great food, friendly staff and fun, outdoorsy atmosphere.

This cafe looked great with sierra nevada mountains in the background. We have ordered Velvet Elvis Espresso Drink - which was a combination of caramel, while chocolate & espresso. I will say this drink was comforting , but it could have been better if the coffee flavor was little more intense. The reason I rated this place 5 on 5 even though their coffee is not the best when compared to some other cafes I have tried, is because of their egg beet bowl. I can still remember how good it tasted. It was a bowl with all fresh ingredients , lettuce , sprouts, beets, argula leaves , Brussel sprouts (crunchy & baked) topped off perfectly with two eggs , some chipotle sauce and one of the best , rich, luxurious , creamy Feta cheese I have ever had. The beets in the bowl with its sweet flavor complemented well with the crunchy Brussel sprouts and the rich feta cheese took the whole bowl to next level . This bowl was healthy , wholesome and delicious. If I ever visit this cafe I will have the Egg beet bowl again and again. Their service was a bit slow I felt, we have waiting for close to 30mins to get our order which was a drawback. When in Bishop I recommend to visit this cafe for sure and try their egg beet bowl.

The other in my group ordered the tuna melt which was loaded with cheese and had a small salad on the side—they also enjoyed it. There is a restroom inside of the book store, which customers of the restaurant are allowed to use.
