Well, how could I not try one of those? I ordered the Southern Plate which incorporates said gigantic biscuit and I can attest to the sheer size of this thing. The dish includes two eggs, hash browns and country sausage gravy in a big pile of carbohydrates. And I freaking loved it. The flavor was good enough that I didn’t salt it which is saying something. My better half had the Quesadilla burger which was about $10 and is a big burger in a tortilla. She ordered hers with seasoned fries on the side. Also very good. The service was friendly and prompt and the food arrived in a timely fashion. I thought the place was clean and friendly and the prices were really fair for all the food we got. Overall two thumbs up on Big Cup Eatery. Yum-o!

Drove 40 minutes to try it out, and it was worth it. Friendly staff, clean tables, quiet enough to talk. Blueberry pancakes were very tasty, and actually cooked all the way through. Batter tasted like it was homemade. Eggs tasted like they were farm fresh. Egg enchiladas were very good. I was not sure what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. The place was quaint, cozy nostalgic and it definitely smelled amazing. We were promptly seated and as I looked around I felt like I was home!! From the photos on the wall to the chalkboard with pickle themed jokes there was plenty to look at. The staff was super friendly and after ordering and waiting a few minutes we got our food. We ordered fried pickles as an appetizer and can definitely say they were delicious. Please keep in mind this isn’t fast food where someone takes frozen food and then deep fried it. There are several Mexican or Tex-Mex options within a half mile of each other and I had been frequenting another place for years, but the service has deteriorated at my old hang out to the point that 3 out of my last 4 visits there I was ignored from the the time my food was served waiting for up to 45 minutes with an empty glass and I decided to give Mama Mia's another shot. Since my last visit, they have refurbished the entire place and they did it very well with a huge outdoor seating area with plenty of shade and a huge flat-screen TV for watching sports. Mama Mia's food has also been kicked up from a 3 star to 5 stars for me and the service has been better than 5 stars, its good enough that I have eaten there 3 times in the last 8 days and will be returning tomorrow. Mama Mia's is my new favorite restaurant out of all in my town. My only suggestion to management would be to turn the music down a few decibels.

I was greeted warmly. I ordered house special fried rice, with a request for the dish to be prepared with less soy sauce. I also ordered beef with broccoli. The house special fried rice came out perfect. It was loaded with cubes of Chinese BBQ roast pork, shrimp, chicken and not overwhelmed by peas and carrots. The beef and broccoli was also a large portion. The beef ( sliced flank steak) was tender and in good proportion to the amount of broccoli in the dish. While I waited for my order ( only 15 min wait), I noticed the dining area seemed warm. The tables and chairs are simple. A few tables had damaged/ worn tops, I recommend seating yourself at one of the tables which are not as worn out looking. The dining area could use a detailed cleaning. It just appeared old and dated. Windows by the entrance need a good cleaning.
