But waiting an hour to get food after ordering and not being paid as much attention as the tables around us that were drinking makes it so we will not patronize this establishment again. The food was amazing once it finally made it. But if the good service and environment don't match I'll go elsewhere with my hard earned money. Also, the environment is so off. 3 different color christmas lights hang in different spots, some solid some flashing, and snow flakes and stars. It is just off. The staff is always friendly and helpful and the Chef always visits our table after our meal which is a nice personal touch. Also great for take out! Just like any restaurant out there, there are some pricy dishes offered but there are also great affordable options on the menu here every week. We started with Mac n Cheese bites. Served hot. Our dinner did take quite a long time to get to the table. I could tell the waitress was stressing that it wasn’t coming out. If you call, they won't answer the phone. We both got the daily special which was a huge piece of pizza and a drink each. Piggy's Place wound up being my selection for lunch. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit! I arrived for a fairly late meal (~1:45) so it wasn't super crowded. The parking lot is easy to access. A few people were eating inside, and several carryout orders occurred during my visit. The inside is adorably decorated in your usual southern bbq joint style -- fun pig memorabilia and whatnot. They have a pretty large selection of bbq and an even larger selection of desserts. In retrospect, I definitely regret not getting a slice of cake or pie to go! I am usually a pulled pork girl, but it is pretty unusual to see smoked pulled chicken -- most places only do half or quarter birds -- and I like pulled chicken a lot, so I ventured out and ordered that! I got the smaller sized plate lunch, which comes with a piece of Texas toast and two sides. I went with curly fries and corn on the cob. Overall, the food was good! The pulled chicken was nice and smoky and the perfect serving size. It was a teeny bit dry but that's typical bbq chicken territory and nothing a good dash of creamy, peppery white bbq sauce couldn't fix. Good sauce! My corn on the cob wasn't super sweet -- probably not quite in season yet -- but it was cooked nicely and very juicy. The fries gave strooooong Arby's vibes such that I think they might actually *be* Arby's fries lol, but there's nothing wrong with that. Especially when they were cooked so fresh and came out hot and crispy! The toast was a lovely buttery companion and my sweet tea was on point. The service here though...THAT gets a 5/5, or really a 10/5 if such a thing were possible. I sometimes feel like southern hospitality is a myth or at least an oversimplification of southern social norms, but at this place it's real and sincere. The woman who took my order -- the owner, I later learned, having purchased the restaurant after years as an employee -- treated me and everyone else who walked in the doors with such warmth, kindness, interest, and attentiveness that it made my entire day. Truly everyone was made to feel so welcome. She catered to some older ladies who came in for a birthday, checked in on me in a nonjudgmental but caring way since I was by myself, and greeted regulars with a smile and by their name. She made the place feel like joy! Definitely give this place a go and enjoy the tasty food and wonderful folks. I'd happily return.

After standing there a couple minutes feeling foolish, a waitress literally bumps into my wife and finally we realize we’re not invisible because she excuses herself for doing so. My wife asks her if we just wait for a table, or get put on a list. The waitress literally said she didn’t know. Who do you ask if not the waitress? Either way we said we’d go outside and wait. We stood outside for about 10 minutes before we saw a man wave us in and offer us a seat beside them. Very nice. Keep in mind this is a small place and sitting with someone may be your only option. We sat at the table for about 5 minutes before we got our drinks. The waitress seemed to be bothered that we took that table but I may just be imagining things. Either way went for the “bottomless” fountain drink. It came with paper straws and the rumor is now paper straws are toxic. Surprised they’re still being used. I ordered the pot roast dip sandwich and the wife ordered the hot Turkey sandwich. They hit the table and The food was delicious. That’s kinda where the satisfaction ended. After we finished we waited and waited for the waitress to come back to ask for napkins that we never had and a refill of this “bottomless” fountain drink. After about 10 more minutes we were finished with our sandwiches and had greasy fingers still waiting for those napkins to show up. I went ahead and pulled my wallet out so I wouldn’t have to wait even longer for her to show back up. Finally a drink came….no napkins. I had to again ask for the napkins. She walked off. My back was to her. My wife was watching her and said “I think she’s doing this on purpose.” She walked all around with a handful of napkins seemingly going everywhere but my table. Finally I got those napkins and was able to sign the receipt with the tiny tip that she earned. The “bottomless” drinks actually mean one tiny 10oz drink and hassle to get any more it seems. We stayed there well over an hour more than we should have just waiting on things. Not a good experience. Again we loved the food though.

The staff was nice. And welcoming. Otherwise, The food was mid. I ordered Crab Rangoon. It was not traditional crab Rangoon. The recipe they used tasted like mayo and sour cream. It was nasty. I’m not usually one to complain but the amount of grease made my stomach hurt almost immediately. i ultimately tried two bites & decided to call them, i could barely get a word in edgewise over the phone while the woman argued with me the whole time saying that the reason it looks the way it does is because the sauce she put on melted and turned watery from the heat of the wings. i have no doubt there’s sauce in that but definitely mainly grease. they didn’t even smell nor taste like wings, i could only taste vegetable oil. so she told me to bring the wings back in order to get the refund i asked for so i used the last 10 minutes of my lunch break to do just that. once i got there i came in letting them know ahead of time that i wasn’t angry, i just wanted a refund so i could get back to work. (even though my lunch was wasted and i was still hungry) they proceeded to talk over me and argue with me the entire time i was just trying to give them their plate of wings back. after they counted the wings on the plate, the man asked me if i’d ever been there before and when i said no, he told me that’s simply how they make them and if i don’t like it to go somewhere else and used his hands to “shoo” me away. horrible experience. bad customer service, i never got to tell my opinion to them because they wouldn’t stop talking over me and arguing. to make things right they should’ve let me express my concern, and refunded me my WHOLE meal for my struggles and inconvenience of wasting my lunch time for work, gas money for two different trips, and simple dissatisfaction. i wish i could have gotten footage of the way this was handled here.
