This place is co-owned by Morgan Freeman. The place is huge, and due to the Juke Joint Festival, it was tough to get a seat. There is SO much to look at. The building seems dirty inside, and the bathroom needs upgrades. Also, I did not enjoy the food, and I love food. I believe the fried green tomatoes are marinated, and the breading (possibly cornmeal) didn't stay on. It is affordable, though. The talent was incredibly good, and it was worth several additional cover charges for this.

Of course, their music was what attracted many people over from all over the world, but I can honestly say that out of the food that I have had, I thoroughly enjoyed it all in terms of taste. It was economical, too, so we had quality food while spending a reasonable amount of money.
I had the catfish BLT, which was a simple catfish burger with the most basic ingredients. Yet the catfish itself was so tasty that I didn't even need ketchup or mayo for the burger. It was so seasoned that it definitely made the burger an enjoyable experience. My partner had the kingfish platter which was essentially catfish as well. But then there was a small cup of coleslaw that we both thought was the best we've had, mainly because they didn't use mayo but some kind of vinegar to supplement the taste. And then my partner had the deep fried pecan pie and I had a taste of it. Even though I am not even the biggest fan of pecan pie, I really enjoyed that one and I think it was because the deep fried aspect along with whipped cream complemented the gelatinous material in pecan pies (don't know how to call it).
There was music 365 days a week in the club, and particularly we were there during the annual Sunflower River Blues & Gospel Festival, so it was extra special. There were visitors all over the world attending the festival and many great bands played in the club. The amount of mess on the walls in the club speaks to the historically and culturally rich aspect of this club and of this town. Definitely a 5 star experience.

This was our 1st time here, although we have been to the Biloxi Club several times. The music was great and the atmosphere lively. You go to Ground Zero Blues Club for the music - which is fabulous. We had dinner their - no frills but the fish was delicious. The staff super friendly & laid back. There's a couple of pool tables if that's your thing. A good size dance floor. This club looks abit like a rundown warehouse, which for people who maybe aren't used to poor areas, might worry them but don't be. It's basic seating & tables, a really good bar. It's closed Sunday to Tuesday at the month we were in Clarksdale (September 2025). I wish we had got to Clarksdale on a Wednesday or Thursday- i would definitely have gone back every night. Although there are other live music venues in this small town. Miss T - the booking manager was a real sweetheart & gave us advice about other places to visit in Clarksdale. The standout is the local people who run the place & the music.

The moment I stepped inside, I felt wrapped in warmth and nostalgia, from the worn brick walls to the glitter of autographed sports memorabilia covering every inch, it’s the kind of place that feels both lively and lived-in.
I was greeted by Bailey, the hostess, whose bright smile and soft accent made the welcome feel personal, not practiced. She found me the perfect seat, one that gave me a view of the whole dining room and the steady stream of food coming from the kitchen. The air was filled with the mouthwatering scent of fresh bread, sizzling meat, and melted cheese. The kind of smell that makes your stomach growl even if you swore you weren’t that hungry.
My waitress, Marley, came by with cheerful energy and a genuine friendliness that immediately put me at ease. Stopped by while on a work trip. Great location right downtown on the Main Street surrounded by beautiful murals and quaint little shops and boutiques.
I had the blackened chicken sandwich, and let me tell you, it was juiiiicyyy! Great help from the waitress as she helped me decide what to get. Food was affordable and the lemonade kept flowing!
Highly recommend this place if you are visiting Clarksdale!

We ordered the lunch specials. Mine was ham with 3 sides. My husband's was fried chicken. My ham was old, overcooked, or warmed up. The cornbread was tiny and the next thing to burnt. The cream corn and stewed tomatoes and okra were good. I didn't like the dressing. My husband's chicken wasn't much better. The only good thing was a very polite young man as our waiter.

Absolutely loved this place! Atzimba Mexican Restaurant is a hidden gem. The food was super tasty, freshly made, and served really fast. We tried the carne asada, quesadilla, tacos, and chimichanga — everything was full of flavor and cooked to perfection.
The michelada deserves a special mention — ice cold, refreshing, and just incredible! One of the best I’ve had.
The prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. Great service and a cozy, authentic atmosphere.
Highly recommend this spot if you’re craving real Mexican food without breaking the bank. Will definitely be back!

We ordered the Quesadilla Chicken fajita which was filled with plenty of chicken and vegetables. The rice, beans, guacamole and pico was plentiful.
We also had an order of crispy beef tacos with side of beans. All was well flavored, authentically cooked and nicely plated. We asked for a spicier sauce and was served two salsa verdes which were amazing. Very satisfied and highly recommend.

There was only one waitress in duty tonight caused people to walk out. With that said, most people were willing to wait. You could always order at the counter.
Our food was delicious, my husband had a plate of sliced and pulled pork and it did not disappoint. I am not a huge pork fan (I know, I know!!!); but he lives it and enjoyed his plate.

Driving towards Memphis and we stopped in Clarksdale to check out the Delta Blues Museum. We were looking for a good lunch spot to try and we decided to come to Abe’s.
Came at around 2 PM on a Wednesday and they weren’t too busy. The overall vibe of the place is pretty vintage looking which I liked. Our waitress was very nice and attentive to our table.
I got the BBQ Pork Sandwich as my entree. Overall, it was decent. The sauce was pretty good, the meat was a little too fatty for my liking but otherwise it tasted pretty good!
Overall, not a bad spot! If I’m back in Clarksdale, I’ll be back.

Dropped into this place when visiting Clarksdale in September and just HAD to review the White Chilli Soup!!
Oh My Goodness.... I have never tasted something so delicious that made me wish I had a bucket of this stuff to dive into!
I have looked, since coming home, on the internet but there are so many recipes that I just don't know where to start to find something that would resemble what I ate here.
So, I think I'm just going to have to experiment but I have no doubt that nothing will hit the spot like this did!
Excellent food all round but this soup is one to try if you're in the area and it's on the menu.
Ladies serving were lovely and attentive too and the cafe was clean and airy... We arrived around an hour before closing but they were starting to pack up so we did feel a little like we were holding them up as they'd started to clean up and shut things down. They however stressed to us that we were not in the way and we did take the time to enjoy our food.

What a cool little place! Seemed a little odd for the staff to be wearing old timey outfits but take your order on an iPad but these are the times I guess. The staff was extremely friendly and the food was delicious!!! I had the Tuesday special which was chicken poppy seed casserole that came with green beans. The casserole was incredible and would be keto friendly if you ordered it without the cracker topping. The green beans were also delicious, I'm not sure what all was in them but they were great. I didn't eat the roll due to diet restrictions but it looked and smelled awesome!

Had a great time. The decor was just what I expected from a cool bluesy place in a bluesy town. My daughter had the burger and fries and she nearly cleared her plate. I had the fettuccine with shrimp and sausage and a cream sauce, fantastic. My wife had the risotto balls with bacon and cheese also great. The Ranchero is iconic. There aren't many restaurants that you can go to that your parents went to when they were kids, and this is one of them. Their recipes stand the test of time, and the photos on the wall just give you a small taste of their historical importance. When I was a kid, on Friday nights, sometimes we would get to order food from the Ranchero, and it was always a treat. My dad always ordered a Jumbo Fry Burger (that's a chili cheese burger if you don't know) with onion rings, and I always got the same thing. Their chili cheese burger hasn't been bested by any one that I've ever tried, and their onion rings are the best on the planet. Other places just can't hold a candle to it. Over the years, it seems like we ended up there for every special life event... Birthdays, graduations, weddings, after football games, and funerals, and we have always been treated with the utmost respect and been given top notch service. I'm so glad that they are still there serving Clarksdale their fantastic food, and I'm glad that I am able to share some of my fondest food memories with my children. When I walked in today no one greeted me. They all just starred as I walked to the salad bar and seated myself. The waitress was pleasant, however she checked on her other customers but passed by me. I ordered a plain blackened chicken breast which took about 20 minutes. The host was nice noticed I had been sitting long did tell me the chicken was on the way. As I ate my small meal other customers walked in with their families and was greeted pleasantly and also was told to sit where they wanted. I find that oddly strange, even now no waitress has checked on me. It’s not busy, but me being the only African American woman in the restaurant shows the other customers are more important. All customers should be treated the same. When I finally checked out the host and waitress finally greeted me as I paid my check.

I am a loyal customer, i go every morning and get 2 coffees with 3 creams 4 sugars added in and this is the thanks i get. I don’t usually write reviews, but they deserve it. I’m from out of town, but was passing through Clarksdale at lunch. Pulled into Taco Bell and told myself I would walk in and see what it looked like. What I saw was impressive! The whole dining area was immaculate. Went to put in my order and was offered assistance several times if needed. I had to look at the staff member and say that this is the nicest Taco Bell I have ever been to in my life.

2025 & STILL NOT WORTH IT! This location is the absolute worst sonics I've been to and I travel A LOT for work so I've been to plenty. The audacity of making me wait 40 minutes for an order that I made in the app before I even came, and then not bringing my food until I asked to cancel the order and give me a refund, and then bring me food that's obviously been sitting on a counter somewhere because the slushes were all liquid (barely any ice to them) and the food was lukewarm at best. Like three other cars came and left while I was sitting there. I try to give employees the benefit of the doubt because I don't know what sort of staffing issues or machine issues they may be working with. But for me to wait that long, call in 3 different times, and have the same person ask me each time what my order was.... And it came almost immediately once I asked for a refund... (Really suspicious) Last straw though: it's the complete lack of care or tiniest bit of customer service. Y'all could have reheated my food before you brought it out. You could have NOT put a whole lemon in my grape slush (I mean why even do that?). You could have APOLOGIZED for making me wait so long or for forgetting me three different times. But you did absolutely none of that. You do NOT have to worry about me wasting my money at this Clarksdale location ever again.

The tamales were sooo good, some of the best I ever had. So if you are looking for a good hole in the wall for tamales you found the place. That's all we got because they don't serve the whole menu during the week. The guy at the window was super friendly! The way you get into the place is a little confusing that's my only complaint but it's totally worth the hassle I'm telling you. I will be going here again. If they would have been open when we finished them we would have went back for another dozenn!
