So being able to get a reservation for an upcoming visit was eagerly anticipated with excitement, especially considering all the great reviews. We arrived about 10 minutes prior to our 5:45pm reservations on a Saturday night. The place was not at all packed, and there was no issue being seated. Great! We had a show at 7pm and made the staff aware. Beautiful setting and an upscale dining experience was anticipated. Our server introduced himself and proceeded to rattle off the 5-7 dishes on the menu that were not available. What? Not his fault but ah, such a bummer. There was only 1 special offered. The menu is already pretty specifically limited so losing 5-7 choices is huge. Bread and dipping sauces were brought to table, and while fine, nothing extraordinary. Sangria and a draft Stella arrived and we placed an order for a filet mignon with asparagus and a spaghetti poppeltine meatballs, "Brooklyn style". The waiter stated that the pasta was made in house and was so good. The filet mignon ordered medium rare cut like butter and was outstanding. The asparagus tasted fresh and well seasoned. The pasta dish with meatballs was underwhelming at best, outside of the portion size. The meatballs had no taste and lacked any texture or spice profile ; the sauce was lacking in quantity and seasoning. The pasta was cooked perfectly, but I could not discern that it was freshly made. Not at all satisfying. There was NO way that the parmigiana cheese grated was authentic..,so disappointing. Our server said he was new and while he was fine and accommodating, it was not the level of service based on the pricing of dishes and drinks and the reputation of the establishment. The restrooms were clean and some tables have a peek of the open kitchen. It is a lovely and convenient setting, but the food and service fell short and we will not be returning.

The appetizers were great. Our server, Heather was wonderful. We had a good time overall. The ambiance wasn't there. We were sat at a table in the most walked area first but were given a different table upon request. The furniture is a bit worn for a restaurant that prices their food as high as they do. Our meal was very expensive (expected, so not complaining about that). I was full after the appetizers and decided to take my main meal home after having just a few bites. Next day, when I reheated it for lunch I discovered that the mushroom/caper topping and polenta had what appeared to be brush bristles throughout (definitely non-food origin). I accidentally swallowed one with the first bite. Let me tell you, not a pleasant sensation. Obviously could not eat after that. Reached out to the restaurant management through e-mail and, clearly, they do not care. No response. So, here I am, venting my frustration. Before the reservation though I went through the reviews and noticed they were not the best, so I was worried. We arrived slightly later than 7PM but were seated right away. There were still plenty of tables open, even though the resort was pretty busy. I ordered a cocktail which was not bad. The server seemed to be in a hurry though and spilled a little of it as he was walking as the glass was quite wet when he put it down on the table. I had no issue that I was charged less than the menu for it. My herbed roast chicken with au jeau and polenta was tasty. The skin was crisp and most of the meat was juicy, but some of it was a little dry. Overall for the price paid I enjoyed myself. I look forward to going again once the renovations are completed.

He was absolutely phenomenal and a professional at his craft. The ambiance is great, central in the Mohegan Sun, and you get to choose a quieter indoor experience or under the waterfall. I had the swordfish, and swapped the sides for the truffle Mac & cheese. The swordfish was a touch overdone, but flavorful and enjoyable, and the mac and cheese was great. Mark allowed me to sample two of the super Tuscan wines, and I ordered a glass of one that worked for me. I then had the pistachio and lemon curd dessert, which was light and just a touch of tart. The pizza was very thin and crispy. The waiter asked us if crispy was alright but if we had known it would have been as crispy as it was we would have told them to go light on the crisp. All together the pizza was delicious but without the cheese, the pizza sauce wasn’t very flavorful. I like a thin crust but this crust was extra thin. The thin slices are actually preferable as they were less messy to eat. The pepperoni was the highlight of the meal (no offense), it tasted different to other pepperoni i’ve had but in a very good way. Everything added together made a really good pie. First off, had the Italian salad and I liked it way more than I should have which means now I have to get it every time I go. And then, finally tried their famous clam pie (and added pepperoni to it). This thing did not disappoint. The typical clam pie is a white pie with no cheese. The chunks of clams were gigantic and the little cupped pepperonis added a bunch of flavor to the pie. The garlic bread blue cheese fondue appetizer is great too. Unfortunately, the sandwich I ordered was not in the same tier. I got their steak sandwich which comes with overcooked steak (sort of), corn (for some reason, an insane amount of mushrooms and simply waaaaaaay too much cheese which is something I never thought I’d say but when you choose a cheese that’s not really known for its meltiness (provolone) it’s just glaringly obvious just from looking at your sandwich that it’s too much and for some reason, it’s served on a hot dog bun? Super weird. Asked for fries well done/extra crispy, they were not but at this point, practically no place I order fries from this way does them properly so I wonder if I should just stop writing about it. The upside to this is our awesome server realized I did not like the sandwich and took it off the bill without anyone even asking. The gf got the bacon jam sliders which were good but the bacon jams was just a little too sweet for me. I would definitely go back again (just for that chili) but will definitely have to try something different like the nachos or wings next time.

I started off with their $15 coconut margarita, ouch, but those prices were expected, given the location. The margarita was delicious, it had 1800 coconut, white cranberry juice, coconut milk, and lime juice. For my meal, I had 3 tacos which came with rice and beans. I opted for the pork belly ($18) which had avocado crema, agave glaze, and roasted pickled veggies; wow, those were amazing. It was sweet, savory, and tangy with a bit of a crunch from the pork belly. One minor criticism is, the water glasses should be taller than their current ones, since I was done with my water by mid meal. The waiter was good but he did get a large party walk in so he got busy which I get. I was able to flag him down for the water. Overall, we had a good experience with the food, service, and drinks; aside from the price, we would dine there again.

Everyone was very friendly and the service was great. I had a cucumber margarita on the rocks, it was actually pretty strong and really snuck up on me in the end. Especially seeing as if you have a food allergy the charge you a fee to cook your food even if your not ordering anything special like a gluten free item for an up charge. It’s a flat fee if you have an allergy you have to pay .I have an autoimmune disease that is protected by the ADA because celiac cannot eat gluten at all. I will be reporting this company to the department of public health is this legal to take advantage of someone with a disability. They need to be looked into . The hash browns were not fully cooked and crunchy in the center. The hollandaise was good though. He couldn’t find his cheeseburger. It was a tiny lump of unseasoned hamburger, no cheese on his cheeseburger, inside a very large Kaiser roll with a ton of lettuce and a big blob of mayonnaise. My boyfriend ordered stuffed french toast with sausage, egg and Swiss, and I ordered the weekend french toast special with Nutella, bananas, and raspberry sauce. To start, they brought 2 specials originally. Then, when we corrected them, my boyfriend received his food on toast with raw cinnamon thrown across the plate. With my special, what I assumed would be a complimentary raspberry sauce was an overwhelming amount of raspberry jam slathered across the top. This was still with a mostly empty restaurant. We received a hurried apology for the lateness of the food. We still left a tip because its not the fault of the wait staff. However between the food and the owner we won’t be returning. Would hate to see how they handle any other issues or a full dining room.
