Matt was our server and he made our experience very special as we were celebrating our anniversary with friends!! Such a great spot near the beach on Sullivans Island. I definitely would be prepared to walk a bit from where you park a since most of the parking is off the main road. Make sure to make a reservation at least a week in advance, but if you don’t make it in time, I would recommend setting notifications for reservations that open up throughout the week (that’s what we did). High Thyme is one of those places! We came in for dinner for the first time recently and were blown away and couldn’t believe it has been an option for us for so many years and we just have been missing out. The food was incredible, portions generous, service friendly and knowledgeable and the wine was very reasonably priced with great selection. We arrived right at 5 and the dining area had plenty of tables available but it appeared as though the bar may have opened up a bit earlier because every stool was already filled. By 5:30 the dining room was also packed (this was a Saturday night in between Christmas and New Year’s for reference). All in all we are thrilled to find another great spot on Sullivan’s and can’t wait to go back. Definitely aspiring regulars.

The service was on point….friendly, attentive and very efficient. The food was spectacular (spinach omelette and the homemade granola) and the biscuits are a must have. After about a 20 minute wait (again, they are so busy so i understand) I finally get my order. Well, I get my unknown scone but I receive 2 HOT caramel breve’s in ceramic mugs for here. I let the gentleman know, I wanted them to go but since they steamed the milk I’ll just deal with them being hot (the heat index is 92 today but I’ll deal). I get to my car, get stuck in traffic so I decide to try one. There is no caramel. An for a hot latte, they were medium warm at best. All this to say, I understand when someone is overwhelmed they mess things up but I said my order 4 times to make sure, the gentleman making the coffees absolutely heard my order because he clarified they can in fact make breve. I do live here, I’m not a tourist so I’m really disappointed a place with such a good vibe turned out so disappointing. I’m not mad about being our $20+, it’s just another unfortunate coffee shop in Charleston/Mt P. This review involves issues that are so easily resolved, just listening skills. I hope they can improve as I’m a huge advocate for a local business- I come from a family of small businesses. Anyways, carry on! I hope nothing but the best for this coffee shop. Once you arrive, the parking lot is huge and the parking is free and they do have valet available. Had we realized the menu inside was a bit different than the menu for the outside area, we would have requested a different table. The interior was beautiful and well put together. The outside has beautiful views of the water and they also have an astroturfed area where you can play a little corn hole and they have a stage for a live band. Plenty of seating available. For the food, I had the seared Ahi tuna sandwich w/ the risotto Saladin the side (I’ve never had tuna like this before so my first impression was that I needed to get used to it but the flavor was there and it was cooked well) and it looked great! We got the fries with the she crab soup drizzled over them and those were delicious (who would have thought that would have been a tasty combination?) We did get a separate order of the she crab soup and that was fantastic. There were plenty of good sized clumps of crab meat and it was flavorful and creamy. We will definitely be back to visit soon!

We came on a Saturday afternoon with a party of six, we were offered seats outside but with the heat we decided to sit indoors. After a short wait, we were seated inside in a cool spot. The restaurant was busy, and TVs everywhere this place has a good sports bar feel. The dry rub wings and the pulled pork nachos were different and delicious. The BBQ sauces in this region of the U.S. are different from what I am used to. I am more familiar with a sugary base in the BBQ sauce. The sauces at Home Team BBQ have more of a vinegary base, still very good but different. Our drinks from the bar were delivered quickly and correctly. Our wait staff was attentive and got our orders to us in a timely manner. All in all, it was a great visit and I can see us coming back for more than drinks and appetizers.
