The salad was very disappointing. It had probably 2 whole strawberries on it in total (cut up). For a berry salad I’d expect a lot more berries. It was also overpriced. 1 star. The lobster roll and potato salad were a hit. Would have given it five stars but the price was $32 and at such a high price it has to be 4/5 stars. The drinks were good - grapefruit gin cocktail and Gahan island red ale. We had a nice view of the bay inside because it was much too windy outside. Service was quick and excellent. Would love if they could provide more vegan options as the only option was the berry salad. They have a vegetarian flatbread but pesto is not vegan.

When they caught wind that we were celebrating a birthday for my mom, and we have not seen her during covid-19 shut down, they brought over a chocolate brownie ice cream whipped cream homemade dessert and the restaurant gave her a $10 gift card, on the house! We were shocked by their kindness and generosity and goes far and showing the depth of professionalism and quality of the staff at the West End Bar and Grill in Summerside PEI. I should note that food as always, was cooked perfectly and served hot! Hats off to the chef! We 100% definitely recommend this establishment! And are booking reservations for later in the week again before we leave to head back home! Because they are becoming more and more well-known for their Great Value, Super Service and delicious meals, along with being Trackside at Summerside Raceway, it is a first-come-first-serve basis, you may end up having to wait, and it is possible if you do not plan in advance to get there soon enough, because it is so popular, you may not be at the busy times of the week. I accepted the offer and have since then ordered from them on many occasions. Every time the food has been excellent. Absolutely crushed the batter consistency and the fish was cooked perfectly. Wife got the loaded fries and rated it a solid 10/10 and demolished them with glee.
