It was a mixed bag experience…. The food was delicious, we had the shrimp ceviche, lobster tail and grilled red snapper. It took a bit of time to arrive, but was super fresh, obviously made to order! Perhaps a bit light on the shrimp, but great flavor. All sides were good, the fries were served piping hot (perfect) and no hint of a fryer used for different foods (the fried fish must have its own fryer! The bad stuff… service was slow. And the place was pretty empty. A lot of the physical premises is in need of repair. We ordered a can of sparkling water, and the top of the can was filthy. That’s a Belizean thing, like when they serve beers wrapped with napkins wrapped around the top, it’s to clean the top before drinking. The top of the bottle of hot sauce on the table was disgusting, obviously not cleaned in some time. Excess hot sauce and crust all over the top and lid. Finally, expensive for what you get. The food was not bad at all. Some items were better than others and some ppl have different opinion. I enjoyed my lobster with the cooked veggies and onions. I was able to taste the fish which i thought was good as well. The mash potatoe was average nothing sp3cial. Seems like everyone in Belize cooks Shrimp really well and this spot was no exception. First time in this port and it is so.cute and lively with a fun vibe. We wanted a quick local snack and ordered Belikin, the local beer, conch ceviche, jerk pork tacos and rice and beans. Fresh and flavorful and served with fresh authentic tortilla chips and loaded with conch. The jerk pork tacos were excellent. Tender flavorful pork with a nice sauce and served with a side of chips and Pico. My husband really liked the beans and rice. They were my least favorite item though really not bad. We enjoyed sitting at the bar on the water in the open air with lively music playing. Prices seemed reasonable as well. Perfect end to our day in Belize City!

We got the pork dumplings, fried wontons, rice burger, shrimp tempura and volcano rolls, spicy Salmon and Crab Rolls, and tried a 3 plate desert of Beets, Blueberry Cheescake, Caramel Chocolate Ice Cream. My GF was definitely pleased and said it satisfied her sushi craving. She loves sushi and said she was not disappointed. I visited for lunch one weekend and it was practically empty to begin with but still managed to have a nice atmosphere with the music. The staff were all amazing and really welcoming and this didn’t change once it started getting busier. The menu is large with plenty of variety and the same is true for the drinks and cocktails. I opted for the burger which was served in good time. The bun was perhaps too big for the size of the patty but it was cooked well and very tasty. The portion of fries was a good size and the coleslaw was the creamiest and best I’ve ever tasted! We stayed at a hotel upstairs and ended up eating here every day. They had their opening night at the same day we arrived and that was clearly noticeable from the lack of experience but they compensated it with extreme friendless and superb vegan food. Everything we had here was so beyond our expectations that I didn't even want to look for other restaurants. So in a sense it was a good thing they were closed on one day so we had to go somewhere else 😅 We ended having one bad experience with them though. We had booked a tour and told them that we have limited time and asked what they can prepare so we'll be on time. In the end we got only one of the two portions we ordered and had to run. But the next morning the hotel lobby gave us a letter of apology from them with all of our money in it! This place is easily one of my favorite places anywhere! We actually found a nail in my niece's food. While they did apologize and offered to replace her Fettuccine pasta with a pizza, they charged us for the pizza. We had blueberry orange mocktail and some beers at the bar and enjoyed a nice friendly chat w it h the bartender, Noel. Went out for a nice walk and then came back for dinner and the sunset. Had the shrimp pasta and the chicken hot plate with rice; both were good, nice flavors, big servings, and nice presentation. I had a brownie with ice cream for dessert which was not really for my taste, it was fine though and I ate maybe half. The entire crew asked if I wanted something else, they noticed I didn’t eat it all, I said it was fine, everything was good. The chef came out and asked if I wanted something else, then Noel took it off our bill. Completely attentive and genuine; they wanted to be sure we were absolutely happy. Excellent service. We encountered a lot of very kind humans here I Belize and we struck gold with the crew at Vino Tinto, all of them are just kind, happy people who either really love their jobs or are really good at showing that they do! We ordered the vegetarian platter and the mixed meat platter. The restaurant was on the owners deck attached to their home. The food itself was tasty and enjoyable, especially the unique sushi plantain option which is a combo I had never seen before. We tried mango cheese cake and pineapple tea. And it was pretty good. The mango cheesecake is creammy, light, and not too sweet. It's kinda like a mango moose more than cheese cake but we like it. The pineapple tea has fresh pineapple bites. We was worries that we forgot to tell them to make it less sweet (we have to call 50% sweet when we are in the U.S.) , but it was perrect and not too sweet at all. My kids thought it's a bit bitter , but it's tea so as expected, and I enjoyed it. We definitely want to come back and try different tea, cheese cake and maybe maybe some other food.

I was very much disappointed in the fries. My feeling about French fries are they are the easiest item to cook. The fries served with my sandwich were cold and not cooked through.
