We were not disappointed by what we found, a cute and fun cafe tucked away, but clearly well known by many. Friendly and welcoming service, our server Illis was very knowledgeable and professional. Extensive wine list with local and international selections, great bar area and lounge for pre dinner drinks or relaxing on the deck. We opted for a selection of entree's instead of a main meal, an excellent way of sampling the menu. Restaurant is located on the 1st floor, however there is a lift to accommodate wheelchair and those with mobility issue's. I recommend booking your table, will return to Mrs Jones on my next visit.

The service was slow and the expensive dishes lacked flavour. I didn't plan to return until I was looking for a place to take visiting friend and everywhere else was booked out. Luckily my second visit was more enjoyable. My cured trout entree was delicious although the portion was tiny, and my friend enjoyed her prawn rice paper rolls. Our duck curries were tasty although the overall flavour was very sweet and lacking depth. The service is still a little uneven and the wait for our entrees was too long but there are a few staff that are attentive and responsive enough to help if needed. The prices are still quite high and the menu does not seem to have changed however the space is very comfortable, not noisy, and the view is beautiful. I would also suggest that the management keep an eye on the temperature as it became uncomfortably hot by the time we finished our meal.

Laughable really. So after getting my husbands meal wrong then not actually getting my dish correctly and it being a soggy bunch of veg we still had to pay $70+ for the inconvenience. The venue has a cosy atmosphere and is nice and close to the boarding area. We got to sample the winter menu which was full of beautiful and local Tasmanian produce. Both of our meals both looked and tasted spectacular and you can tell that the chef takes great pride in both presentation and the flavour combinations. The service is also spectacular and we would definitely recommend to anyone looking for great food and service in Devonport.
