The place itself has a cool industrial chic vibe, very open and relaxed. Staff were friendly and made the tasting experience fun without being too formal. It did not feel rushed and we got to enjoy everything at our own pace. If you are in the area, even if you are not a gin lover, I say give it a try. You might leave with a new favourite and definitely with a full stomach.

They did offer a free bottle of wine, but a genuine apology would have been better. There are way better options in the area than this and we will be going there instead.

We had a visit last week in a group of 4 plus a dog. Lady at the cellar door was very knowledgable and generous, we were offered even more than 4 wines to taste which is what you would usually get there when doing wine tasting. They were understaffed, nobody asked us if we had dined before like they did on the last night and we were not offered a barista coffee or given a quick run through of the breakfast options and area. We were seated for more than 30 minutes without any water, and only after notifying a waitress that we have been waiting half an hour were we able to place an order. However it seems this was a genuine mistake on a busy day as the staff were all very friendly, and once we did order the food arrived promptly. They directed us to Watts River Cafe. We were going to have take away, but the selection of quiches caught my eye and we decided to eat in. Everything we ordered was delicious. The service was lovely and she told me all about the main dish, and the meal was ready really quick! The crispy chicken wings were amazing and came with a delicious sweet chilli sauce. Note: the flake is not battered on the spot as I saw my fish sitting on the fry rack above the deep fryer for goodness knows how long . Won’t be back that’s for sure !
