Accidentally discovered this great local restaurant. I had the ribs, which I had to rate as one of the three best rib dinners in my life. The beer selection is ample. The interior is cozy and inviting, and the food was definitely delicious fresh, well-prepared, and nicely plated. But for the price point, I was missing the wow factor. I think the staff went out of their way to make sure my experience was memorable, personable - and due to the time I left, the Bar Manager gave me a lift to my accommodation. Extraordinary care and service in my opinion-and saved me on getting a cab or uber! 2. Coffee/drinks; The cafe'has a wide range of signature cocktails created by the bar staff, I tried the Cosmo, my favourite and also one of the signature cocktails by the staff - all were good and refreshing. I did not have a coffee on this occasion, so I won't rate them on the coffee, just their wine, cocktails etc. 3. Food; I had the roast with vegetables, which was scrumptious, cooked to perfection and delivered within a good time frame. For dessert, I had the apple pie with cream and ice cream -because I was on holiday. This was also delicious, warm and the pie was home-made! 4. Vibe; The diners were all local, and on this occasion, I enjoyed my meal with a friendly elderly local from town, who was dinning alone. The Restaurant has a friendly, welcoming and chilled vibe, servicing the locals and out-of-towners (like me). 5. Cleanliness - all tables were clean, the environment looked well looked after and the amenities that I used were clean and well stocked with supplies etc. 6. Point of difference; The Service, their cocktail menu, their care for the safety and enjoyment of their diners and customers, the food and dessert - Kaitaia is on the map due to this Restaurant. Based on all of the above points – I give this cute place in a small town in Kaitaia New Zealand a 5 out of 5! I will be back!!

We needed to get dinner last-minute (10-15 minutes before they closed) and the manager Amit was VERY helpful & accommodating - confirmed our order for takeaway, had the staff stay longer & prepare what was possible, apologized for the outspoken chef (which I didn't mind; we were late, not their problem), talk to them about customer service... was pleasant to speak to. The food was all fresh - the Butter Na'an & Chicken Tikka Masala were absolutely AWESOME but the Biryanis weren't exactly your typical Biryanis... plus, their Medium spice actually gets a lot of chilli, specifically in the Biryani it seems like... especially due to the lack of Raitha, which didn't help in our case. However, they were appreciable quantities for the reasonable prices and even in all the hurry, they didn't forget the plastic cutlery & tissues.
