Value for money 10/10. I think they may have MSG in the sauce i had with my dish but that was on me to ask and check and I didn't. I was to distracted with the venue and menu. Hosted a drive day function at the Gallery and Emma our event manager was incredibly helpful. We dropped off the gifts and place cards and banner the day before and Emma had it all set up perfectly. The Parma had more breadcrumb than chicken and not nice, let’s not even talk about the pork roll thing. Friend said Pizza was decent. Burger was edible but dry and close to burnt. Such a shame. Just off the warby highway is this restaurant. They had heaps of options to choose from to suit a range of different pallets and picky eaters. It does get super busy and was fully booked when we went for a birthday dinner so make sure you do book. The food was outstanding. Absolutely everything was well worth the price, good sizes, even the alcohol was good price compared to other places. Little to our knowledge it’s only for a group of 20 or more yet that is not stated anywhere online or in store. Bad start. We waited up to 10 minutes to be served once we sat down, ordered, not given any water had to ask. It took over 45 minutes for our order for 3 people to arrive. Staff seemed to complain about dping everything, didn’t really care much, couldn’t explain or blink an eye at the issues on the night, bad service, wouldn’t come back I think there is much better places to go for Italian food for sure.

Well it wasn’t that easy. Unfortunately the ‘home of pasta’ can’t mix two pastas together. Whether it’s a lack of interest by staff, or a technique to get you to buy more - it wasn’t a great start. The restaurant was quiet, I thought it would only be a short wait. I asked for my cheesy garlic bread to come over as soon as it was ready. So far, so good. Mushroom pasta had not much mushrooms at all and whilst creamy, was bland and need salt (unfortunately was having it for picnic so i cant salt it myself). The seating area at the bottom feels like dominos, not nice atmosphere to eat at. The top area is more wide and feels like La Porchetta style with dark woods, but unfortunately not accessible unless you can climb stairs.

I’ll start off with the food being amazing. Even though their was a long wait it was well worth it. (Staff were working incredibly hard) The pulled pork was mouth watering tender yet still had a good texture to it. My mocha was very nice but was more like a cappuccino with some chocolate powder ontop, not a traditional mocha with chocolate powder mixed in with the espresso first like I’m used to but was still good. My partner had a different dish and she loved it too. The food and drink was amazing except for one downfall, we ordered a “golden latte” which I’ve had before at other cafes where it was caramel + every other sweet syrup you can imagine. But instead of it being sweat it was turmeric? Partner had a sip and so did I and that was it. Definitely something that’s an acquired taste. Maybe a label next to the item on the drinks menu could help make other patrons make the right choice. 4/5 stars

The meals were amazing as I only had one, I tried a few of the others. For a restaurant it is quiet, which is strange because you are right next to the kitchen. That was another great thing, you could actually watch the chef cook your meal, and sometimes he (Raffaele) would serve your meal to you personally and have a laugh with you. Our table was overlooking the street of Lilydale, which was beautiful in the dark. However the chips were too salty and the menu was hard to read as it was mainly in pure Italian, with some English translations - so you couldn't really know what exactly you were ordering - I found the meals reasonably priced and I could not eat all of my pasta as tempting as it was - I eventually found the room - they still supplied take-away options to what was left of our meals which was wonderful.
