It would have been nice if the waitress had told us this instead of getting 2 serves of the same thing - not sure if that was a money grab tbh. Appreciate that they took $40 off the receipt for the sparkling water but we didn’t even get sparkling water so that was silly! They did offer a free bottle of wine, but a genuine apology would have been better. There are way better options in the area than this and we will be going there instead.

Minestrone soup was good but the beans inside were not cooked at all. Homemade Bread is good but only a one little piece per person, you have to pay for more bread, salted butter is really good. The directions were a bit weird as the Cellar Door was actually closed and the wine tasting was taking place at the restaurant. Maybe it was because it was pouring down the day I visited. So in case you’re visiting for the wine tasting at the Cellar Door and find it closed by chance, do drop by and check at the restaurant. Just off the warby highway is this restaurant. They had heaps of options to choose from to suit a range of different pallets and picky eaters. Tables were already set up with water included didn’t even have to ask. Served very quickly, including not having to wait long for food at all. It does get super busy and was fully booked when we went for a birthday dinner so make sure you do book. The food was outstanding. We had an array of diffrdnt things from curries, clay pot, fried rice, coconut rice and Satay kebabs. Could not make any complaints about anything at all. Absolutely everything was well worth the price, good sizes, even the alcohol was good price compared to other places. Staff were friendly, helpful with their pronunciation of some dishes and even offer 5% off if you pay with cash! Absolutely no complaints 4 stars only because it did get loud and when fully booked it did feel slightly squishy but otherwise fantastic restaurant if you want good quality Thai food.

We started the meal with bread and as soon as I tasted the quality of that alone I knew we were in for a treat. We dined on a six course menu which included two desserts and we were also indulged with a pre dessert, as were all other diners in the restaurant, a yummy meringue with a buttery filling atop a crunchy biscuit style base. One of my favourite courses was the apple terrine with burnt butter parfait and candied walnuts. The parfait was an interesting and somewhat unique flavour and the textural element of the walnuts worked really well. Another standout was the crispy skinned barramundi with 12 hour red wine braised apple. I saw other diners enjoying this fish as a main size and was mighty jealous. In fact I would definitely consider coming back to try the grass fed eye fillet with garlic mash that I observed others eating. It looked absolutely phenomenal. They also have a great private function area towards the back of the space which would be perfect for special celebrations

A total of 5 wines (2 whites and 3 reds) were part of the tasting. Don’t be misled by the picture I’ve added which shows a 14 wine list. Five wines are chosen from that long list as part of the tasting. The tasting experience was quite good and we ended up buying a bottle of one of the wines we tasted. Service was fine, and the person in charge of the tasting experience took his time in explaining the different wines which were part of the tasting. Overall, a good cellar door to visit.
