I called and spoke to a friendly voice, indicated what I needed and was told I needed to go in to order. I did go in the following day where I was promptly greeted by a young lady, friendly and referred to someone else who may have been having a stressed morning. I was told I couldn't order my cake because they were booked. (I just needed the cake, no set up). I did let them know that I was told that I could order it and that's why I was there. I was able to order for pick up. This young lady's mood lightened up and the rest of my interaction with her was much more pleasant as we talked. I also purchased one of their cherry 🍒 Danish. The Danish was very very good! PICK UP DAY: the cake was in the refrigerator and it was beautiful. I was anxious to taste it. It was boxed with care with instructions on how to carry it, where not to put it during transport. Went to the venue with the cake. Had dinner, cake was brought out and it was a big hit! Decided to go in and grab a few things for the road back to Murrieta, CA. Grabbed the peanut butter and Ginger Snap cookies and was convinced to grab the last cinnamon roll. The baked goods are out of this world delicious, and you literally can't tell it's vegan or has been modified for a food allergy. The food was all excellent, we had the Shrimp Panisse and Oaxacan White Mole, both were great dishes representing the Southwestern dining cuisine. The Oaxacan White Mole stood out for the mole sauce that accented the mushrooms, great dish! The NY Strip and Seared Salmon were both excellent entrees. They accommodated our 20 person group with a one day warning. The staff recognized one of our members that came a few days before. The Jamaica lemonade was too sour for my taste (and not sweet enough to balance that sourness). The queso fundido was very greasy and heavy, but if you share it and just eat one taco, it was pretty good. The cheesy is nice and crisped against the pan, with lots of mushrooms and a tiny bit of stewed beef chunks. The hamachi special was fantastic. It had like a cantaloupe sauce served with the slices of fish, and together, they were fantastic. The donut selection is all gluten-free, and each one we tried was awesome! I got a variety in my dozen donuts. I also purchased the vanilla and chocolate tres Leche, they were excellent also! Beautiful hotel, lots of history, the room was very nice and felt like it fit the atmosphere without being outdated and uncomfortable. We stayed in one of the haunted rooms and hoped to have a potential paranormal experience but I don’t blame the ghosts for not coming out given we didn’t sleep all night with all the noise. We were not above the club but there was outside music going until 2 AM and the DJ just seemed to keep getting louder, bring melatonin and ear buds if you plan on sleeping at all. It didn’t matter how loud that music was though because our neighbors next to our room were drunk the entirety of our trip, slamming doors, yelling in the hallways and playing their own music at ALL hours. I loved the hotel as a whole but it felt like they were trying too hard to be a party hub that they didn’t focus enough on their guests. Their website warns a lot about rooms above their club but not enough about just how loud the hotel is as a whole.
