I did not know eggs could taste so deep and rich. I have never had steak so succulent and buttery. The bread is perfect. Even the smaller bites were bursting with unique and complex flavor combinations that I had never imagined. We got the tasting menu. I went there famished and I left stuffed. In total I believe we were in the restaurant for about 3 hours. The experience sitting counterside and watching the chefs prepare the dishes was like getting dinner and a show. If you're like me and you have an interest in kitchen craft from a childhood watching Food Network then I recommend this option. The service was impeccable. Staff are attentive, knowledgeable and conversational without being overbearing. Weeks later, I am still thinking about this wonderful meal.

This place has a set menu which changes each time you go. What this restaurant can do with food is amazing. The cooks combine the most fresh and high quality foods to create outstanding and neat dishes. They really deserve the Michelin star. I never eat my food slowly, but this restaurant made me want savour every single bite I had, and once I finished the food, I would find any leftover sauce that I could soak up and eat using the bread we were given. I highly suggest purchasing the jamon (the pork leg). It is really the best meat in the world, as they told us. The service always has astonished me. The waiters are always so kind and excited. We did also come for my birthday celebration. It is stupidly difficult to get a reservation but cancellations is where you can possibly slip in! So look out for impromptu cancellations to get the chance to dine here. The concept is based on fresh produce that is in season and heavily focused on seafood with a menu that is a bit of a surprise as you have no idea what you are being served as it is all selected by the chefs. I am a seafood girly at heart and in theory this kind of dining style/food makes my heart sing. On arrival, the waiter makes you feel completely at home - we were greeted by name (a very nice personal touch). The waiters are also attentive and they spend a lot of time explaining the dishes - shout out to Philip (he was most memorable) and he seemed to remember all the regulars that came to dine. Overall the food begins very fresh and is captivating but as the night continued, I felt lost in the rest of the menu and felt like the night dragged on. The dishes at beginning are very light, captivating, and creative. We even paid extra to try the special jamon (which is delicious but just a lot of salt). Dishes near the end felt very heavy, buttery and just a bit too much. The overall dining experience took approximately 4 hours and we honestly skipped dessert because dinner service felt dragged on and the restaurant itself was starting to feel extremely stuffy. Tldr, very pricey food and it’s only kind of worth it. The flavours is definitely unique and isn’t something you can just say “you can get the same thing for cheaper elsewhere”. The calamari appetizer had this delicious mayo sauce and we loved the patties which were filled with meat. The pineapple bun smash burger was excellent as well and ranks as one of the better smash burgers you can get in the city. We were disappointed with the fried chicken which had too much flour in the coating and was really hard to eat. The dessert also took around 30 mins to get to us and unfortunately we found it was way too sweet. Overall, would still come back for the appetizers and the pineapple bun smash burgers.

I am not very educated about Japanese cuisine especially sushi, but fortunately they had a meal program 4 course with 3 wines. The appetizer had oyster and a very crisp wine that as the servers described and I do agree paired perfectly. Then we were presented with sushi, around 6 of them with salmon, tiger fish and few others that I dont remember, 2 of them were well torched. Each sushi was packed with perfectly nourishing flavours, with wasabi and soya sauce. The main course had, rice and salmon and a very fruity wine. Desserts was matcha flavoured ice cream. Most important part of all food was they were really fresh, I believe fish of any kind is best consumed as fresh as possible, and with open heart and palette I can say it was damn fresh, and each bite will give you that experience. Moving to ambience, it had beautiful, warm and eye catching aura that you will enjoy. With light music and good lighting you don’t feel rush and to enjoy the moment. Last but not the least the service was awesome, our serve would describe each food and wine so much detail that you remember that in each bite and would be able to relate. We stopped in for a bite before a show at Roy Thomson Hall and it was incredible. To drink we got the Miso Caramel Espresso Martini and the Ume Negroni. Creative and delicious takes on some classics. I went yesterday for my partner's birthday and the food was extremely disappointing. I'm all for fusion, but this felt like a highschoolers food experiement gone wrong. The space itself is unique and full of character. The main floor bathroom is worth a visit on its own, with a skylight, a Lake Erie map as the sink, and even a fancy toilet (and if there’s ever a toilet worth sitting on, this would be it!). Don’t forget to look up! We came just after five without reservations and were lucky to get in. As we left, we saw people being turned away, which made us extra grateful to have snagged a table and the special prime rib, which was exceptional. They only have so many of the special each evening. Everything else we ordered was delicious, the wine was excellent, and the chocolate cake was so good we ended up bringing ours home to savor. I’ve seen some mention the prices being high, but we felt they were fair, especially knowing that so much of what’s on the menu comes directly from local farmers. In today’s world, it’s something to be grateful for, not taken for granted, that farmers and chefs are still working this way to bring us incredible food. We also had a gift card which helped lessen the blow too but still prices are justified. All in all, a memorable evening that we enjoyed for date night!

It’s a short walk from Dupont Station, which is convenient. Came by for dinner and had a pretty good time. The staff were super friendly and stayed attentive throughout the evening. The space is on the smaller side, so you can definitely hear the kitchen – the chefs are pretty vocal – but you get used to it quickly. I liked the vibe. It’s got a lot of character and felt quite cosy, which made for a nice atmosphere. We started with the dip platter, which was excellent. The corn and cherry tomato succotash on the side was fresh and tasty, and the portion size felt just right. My friend ordered the turkey schnitzel special. I had a bite and it was really spicy. Definitely something the staff should give guests a heads-up about before they order, because it was intense for both of us. But unfortunately they moved to this new location. Fortunately though, the ambiance and decor is beautiful so you won’t be disappointed in the least. We settled in their tasting menu $250 PP which was a selection of curated dishes. They also have other tasting menus if you’re looking for a more budget friendly option. One thing that is different compared to other restaurants is the whole table must order the same tasting menu in that category. So for example if you have wanted the $150 tasting menu than everyone at your table had to have the $150 menu, there was no choice of one person picking the $150 and another person choosing the $250 menu. So for our table of 7 people we all chose the $250, but they did allow for substitutions if you had an allergy or didn’t like something. Overall they accommodated us. Most of the dishes were absolutely amazing and although I didn’t particularly like one dish, I would say this is a go to restaurant to take a loved one for a birthday or other celebratory occasion. I think this is a Michelin rated restaurant so you can expect a great dining experience. $$$$
