We walked inside and they were busy so we had to wait 30 mins for a table. Amazingly they had our table in about half that. If I finished something and set a plate aside only several seconds would pass before a staff member would be along to kindly ask if they could take it. Very friendly and helpful. The food was okay at best. The fried brussel sprouts were good. The best thing we had was the chicken and bow tie pasta soup. Great flavor. Unfortunately, there was a bay leaf in the soup bowl which is inedible. The pasta was a little under cooked, not quite al dente'. The bison bolognese was good. A different take on a classic dish. The down side was that the pasta was undercooked and hard. The burger had a nice sear but was dry and lacked seasoning. We are glad we tried Trailhead, we try to support our local establishments, especially during the off season. But the food, at least during our visit, was not worth the price.

And when i came back to pick up my food, waited close to another 10 minutes (MY FOOD WAS ON THE TABLE RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME GETTING COLD) but because they keep a rope to keep people from barging in the dinning room, you must wait for one of the incompetent employees to assist you. Some of the other local eats were underwhelming, and every time we drove by this place it looked full and lively so my husband and I decided to give it a try. It was good, however, the s&s chicken wasn't what we expected. It was fine that it was breaded (usually it's stir fried with no breading), but the sauce was similar to what you buy in a jar. There was no tang or sourness to the sauce. The dish was made with cabbage and broccoli. We usually see this dish prepared with onions, bell peppers, mini corn, and pineapple for the sweetness. Not impressed with the sauce. Service wasn't as slow as we predicted. These ladies worked their tail off to get to every customer. If we visited Cody again, we would try them again, but maybe try other dishes.

So we have been here before and had a joyful experience however this was the best. We arrive 10 minutes early to have a drink in the garden and we were greeted by Christina, Who didn’t mind helping us right away Before officially opening. We had planned to spend a couple hours here to just relax do some paperwork enjoy the quiet ambience as the season dies down. We skipped a couple rooms although all of them were beautiful and very clean, And return to the bar setting outside. She said did you see Hemmingway’s room? I said no we must’ve skipped that one. She brought me back in and gave me a great tour of the place and I learned a lot of historical facts through her. It’s a very beautiful place with a very knowledgeable person! There was no handicap access when i arrived so i had to make several laborious trips for my luggage. Once i got to the room i saw mold on the shower curtain (pictures attached). Eventually I laid down and found that the entire bedding was extremely wet like it had not been dried at all after washing. This was at midnight so i really didn't have any option but to try to sleep on it. When i confronted the manager about it the next day she acknowledged it had happened before but truly did not care to address it in any meaningful way. I was offered a 10% discount on a $400 stay. Pathetic. You should be ashamed of yourselves. You had a chance to do the right thing and did not even try! Stay anywhere else!

We parked our car in the public parking spots behind the chamberlain inn during the workday with a (no cones signs etc that display no parking or hours for parking). The main manager called us around 5 twice to ask us to move the car because they had an event starting soon and a food truck wanted to park in those spots. She was very kind and we explained that we were at work and the keys were back in Meeteetse so we’d drive there and back when we were off and get it moved. Around 6 the bar manager Fred left us a voicemail threatening that we are parked illegally because they placed cones around the parking spots and we have to move the car immediately. We did not respond to the bar manager but told the main manager we’d be there soon. At 7 we got there to move the car and the main manager was outside, she apologised and thanked us for moving the car and we apologised for taking so long we tried our best. When we were pulling out the bar manager we assume send us another text from a different phone number telling us to move it now or he’d call the police and tow truck on us. Fred was very rude, aggressive, and unprofessional. We had a lovely time at the chamberlain inn a few weeks ago for a wedding but after this immature encounter we won’t be back. This lack of respect, maturity, kindness is absolutely baffling. What wasn’t an issue at all became a huge issue with this bar manager. He texted us after we moved the car and asked us to come in and go toe to toe with him when we get there to move it. This behaviour is unacceptable. Fred and the chamberlain should be ashamed.

Most of us got panini of different varieties and everyone enjoyed their sandwich and chips.
