Service was generally friendly, though I did notice that when our table became dirty no one came to clean it, while the table next to us was wiped down promptly. We had lovely wait staff and good size table. We didn't do the feed me option, there were 2 choices. Instead we chose our own starting with the Devine chunk of double toasted sour dough Focaccia. The strong goat curd with sweet beetroot relish went very nicely with the bread. Next we spoiled ourselves with the scallops cooked in garlic butter topped with tomato - simply a great combination when cooked so perfectly. The king prawns in broth were next, really tasty, unfortunately one was a bit over but we still enjoyed. To finish our dinner we had the duck breast in a prune and walnut sauce and scrumptious roast potatoes. They were both amazing, full of flavour and a good portion size. The food was good and all but it was quickly clouded and tainted by the rude blonde middle-aged female wait staff who was inattentive and rude from the minute we stepped into the place. She tried to put on her best acting skills to pretend not to see it when I pointed it out, but I was like “it’s there alright!” She quickly whisked the plate of evidence away but when we asked if we could get a fresh batch, they were stingy and instead she lied that they had ran out of potato, even though out of the limited menu, there were a few dishes that had potato in it and they had only opened at 12 and we came right at the beginning and no one else was there before us! Are you telling me you only had 1 measly potato?🤦🏻‍♀️ The best they could do was to take the item off our bill she said. And just stingy overall, can’t give a bag when we did take away for our leftover food. When I asked if I could get milk on the side of the chai tea, she said she wasn’t sure if they do have milk to give on the side even though she also said she’s been working there for years 🙄 after the hair incident, she just treated us like a liability because they were humiliated. We saw the owner too, she was aight but not great, very nonchalant. I suspect the actual chef was a male in the back, props to him. But unfortunately his cooking efforts were ruined by the people around him. The hair incident could’ve been easily forgiven if the attitude of the female staff was better and more cordial/humble. So it’s 1star and 0 for service if it was possible. And they wonder why they used to have many customers but not so much anymore - maybe try getting better customer service?? The dishes we chose were based on the suggestions given by waitress. The dumplings had a good flavour, the cauliflower was nicely charred paired with a creamy somewhat tangy sauce. The pork belly was juicy. The steak was a bit of a let down as we asked for medium rare but it was more on the rare side. The one criticism I have though is the service. We picked a day where it was very busy, however we were not tend to for long periods of time especially at the start when we wanted to order. It was hard to capture the attention of any waiter as they were busy attending a large group next to us. We ordered a bottle of wine and they didn’t leave the bottle of wine at our table resulting in us having to wait a while for someone to top us off.

Margarita pizza melted in my mouth with nice smoothe flavours, the pasta sauce was a little but burnt but if not would have been much nicer, however the worst was the chicken parmi with the sauce also being burnt and the chicken coating was very solid and didn't melt in my mouth and it appeared like it was rosemary had a burnt taste to it too which didn't need to be there. Went here with a friend to order a late breakfast. Food is a little pricer, but all meals are chosen and assembled well. Chips were crunchy and matched the aioli sauce, mushroom and egg toast was tasty with a great balance of flavour and a perfectly cooked egg, the brunch burger was perfect serving size with nice balance of elements and texture. Cannoli and iced latte was a perfect end to the meal. The latte was made with a high barista standard, and the cannoli was creamy and chocolatey, without being too overwhelming. During our experience here, the team said they were understaffed, so maybe management should try and get more staff so they’re able to handle customer influx better. I heard that there are many Malaysians and Indians who live in Singapore, so I would readily accept any Malaysian-style food or Indian curry-like food as Singaporean food😅 Anyway, after waited for about 20 minutes, all the food that we ordered were arrived. The portion of the dishes were quite reasonable and their favour tasted really good. My only complaint was that on the chicken fried rice, which was basically an egg fried rice with mini chicken nuggets which I never tried before, and unfortunately I didn't enjoy it. NOLA has become a regular of my partner and I over the past few months. As a new Orleans inspired bar it has been great to be able to have a few drinks, great food and be able to listen to blues music in a great atmosphere. That was until this last Friday night where we trapsed down for the usual, beer, cocktails and food. All was well, except for the music, which was not at all blues, and not at all new Orleans inspired, more akin to some nightclub with driving beats and inaudible anything else. We politely asked for a bit of a change up of the music, which was greeted with a mix of "no problem" and "it's close to blues" (it was not). Kindly the music did change, for about 2 songs before the music reverted back to the non-blues at an increased level of hostility. The food was great, the service was mostly great apart from the stink eye, and the drinks excellent. I just hope it goes back to being a more blues / new Orleans inspired soundtrack as it had been. We had the lunch menu for $65 pp. It is on the expensive side, but if it's in your budget, go for it.
