The restaurant is in a residence, which really gives that family meal feel. So much so, that it is common for patrons at different tables have conversations with each other. Unlike most restaurants, there is no real urgency to turn over tables. This promotes the Italian tradition of enjoying your meal and conversation. Like any place, I have had great service and mediocre service, can’t knock the restaurant for that. This is a very special place and one of our favorites!

If you end up waiting you can go upstairs and get a drink (cash only), but the wait time goes quickly as you make friends, play board games (Uno in our case), and sip on your beverages before you are called to your table. We ended up playing Uno with two couples which was absolutely a blast. The service was very responsive and we were immediately served with new drinks, and warm homemade bread. Their bread is incredibly fresh and comes with a roasted garlic spread and butter (which I had to get two baskets). The house salad served with blue cheese was amazing! We got the gnocchi with cheese sauce and chicken, and the spinach Alfredo Alfredo sauce and shrimp which were amazing! I do wish the shrimp were bigger, or the plate came with more of them which is my only gripe! For dessert we got the Italian wedding cake which was so fresh and warm that my significant other had to complete the dish even though we were so incredibly full. If this isn’t one of the stops you’re making when you come to Eureka Springs then you are doing it wrong!

The restaurant’s waiting area is upstairs in the bar—accessible only by a flight of stairs. When I arrived, I was told that everyone waiting upstairs would be seated before me, even if they arrived after I did, because I’m specifically disabled and that’s “the policy.” The host explained that this was a rule from the owner and that he couldn’t approach them about it, even though he acknowledged how unfair it was. So, despite arriving early, I had to wait until other parties were seated before being given a table—all because I physically couldn’t climb the steps. We arrived to check in for a table around 4:30pm, this past Saturday, it took about 10-15 minutes for the hostess to come out and take our names. I can’t imagine visiting Eureka Springs again without returning to Le Stick. The staff were incredible, attentive, kind, and genuinely passionate about the courses they were serving. I don’t ever write reviews but I had to for them! It’s such a unique and intimate experience to receive each course alongside everyone else in the restaurant, all of us celebrating something different. For us, it was a birthday, and it was easily the best birthday dinner I’ve ever had. The food was outstanding; creative, perfectly balanced combinations of flavors that worked beautifully together. At first, the menu seemed a little intimidating, but the executive chef clearly knows exactly what she’s doing. Every dish that came out left me in awe, each one somehow topping the last. I called a few hours before the start of seating, just to see if they might be able to fit me in and Donna, the chef owner, was so nice and welcoming! I was eating by myself, and she sat me at the perfect placement in the restaurant. It was a Sunday night, so it wasn’t totally full, but honestly that just added to the overall atmosphere. It is a seated six course tasting menu so it does progress over two hours. It is a good pace, but for those thinking they can get in and out quickly, this is not the experience for you. I love that so many of the dishes were so thoughtful and locally sourced ingredients - everything on the plate made sense and wasnt ‘tweezer-fied’ just for aesthetics sake. A lot of the stuff is made in house and all the little touches like the pickled watermelon rind, which was reused from when they made watermelon sorbet, make it that much more thoughtful. Many of the items I went into town to shop for specifically the next day. For those folks saying this is a little bit on the expensive side, well that’s totally relative. I am from Austin and $100 6 course meal is not a bad price at all. I will say the service was exceptional. If you’re talking Michelin stars I would say definitely Michelin star service. Donna was so thoughtful and came out and chatted with every single table made sure everyone was comfortable and had what they needed. Cody was super knowledgeable and a true Eurekan, so had lots of great tips and stories about the town and the restaurant itself. If you are in town visiting, just make the phone call, don’t be intimidated by the six course tasting menu. It is not stuffy, or hoity-toity, but still very refined and a really unique special experience. I also got the wine pairing, which was only an additional $35 (which again is really good pricing from what I’m used to in a big city). Overall, it’s just so exciting and a real treat to get to see people doing what they love and are so passionate about - the ingredients, the menus, the pairings, and the whole ambience. When I say they will give you the shirt off their back, I literally mean it. We came in sopping wet from the rain and they let me use a shirt while they dried our wet ones in their dryer. The mozzarella sticks were cooked perfectly—crispy on the outside with that amazing stringy cheese pull the moment you take a bite.
