In our 3 night stay with a toddler, we were provided with a corner room wherein this work started after our checkin and was this way until we left. It was a huge window which was completely removed, at the height of the 4th floor. It was wide open most of the night and mornings. Even after multiple requests we were not shifted to a different room. They would do a quick fix only for it to be removed in the coming hours. The reason for not shifting us was unavailability of rooms even though people kept checking in and out over days. If they were full board, was it safe for them to carry on such work? Even if it was an emergency how was it okay to assign the room right next to the window to a family with a young kid? Our kid had to be held every time the door was opened, freaking us out. I'm not willing to take names but this male manager in charge was nothing but concerned. He always tried to just fix the issue but never understood the problem. It was probably just that one person who made us give a one star review when every other staff did a great job. The food was great, the breakfast spread was good, rooms were spacious and clean, the staff were friendly and diligent. We loved everything but the way they brushed off our entire concern and said their hands were tied for 3 full days is indeed unwelcoming.

The starters which were supposed to be served before 11:45 am were served after 12:30 pm that too not all items & not all people were served...half of them were served & other half were kept waiting. We had to follow up for cutlery regularly as they did not have them readily available. For a restaurant of this kind it was surprising to see them using disposable glasses & plates for serving. They did not have the main course ready as per pre decided menu. There was so proper coordination in preparation & serving. Curry was served and we all had to wait for rotis which came after several follow ups. The food was not at all tasty as they seemed to have prepared in a hurry. Rice wasn't cooked properly.. dal had no salt in it..too much oil in fried rice...so on & so forth. We had to follow up for each & every item and they served the dessert after half the people left. After dessert they brought the sweet in a hurry which was absurd and we refused it. Needless to say none of us ate our food properly except for the starters , most of the food was left uneaten and we left the place hungry and hence we paid only partial amount & didnt pay the agreed amount. We understand that everyone encounter contingencies & unforseen problems. But efficiency of a person/organisation lies in how they handle the problems and over come them. Even if they had informed us about their staff issues in the morning we would have made alternate arrangements. But they did not do so & mismanaged the whole show. This was the only bitter experience that we all had in the last 4 years of our monthly get togethers at various hotels/restaurants.
