He said that he still cannot let me in because he has to stand by their decisions, which is pretty poor given the fact that I had demonstrated that I was not intoxicated like they were saying. It was such a lovely venue! The staff were incredibly friendly and flexible with our requests. They were organised, accommodating, and quick to respond to our emails. A pleasant place but paid $50 for a $15 drink and received $15 change ($20 short). The two drinks where I paid the exact amount of $15 I received the correct amount of $0 change. This place could be really good if they were more organised and the service was better. Food time, the menu this time around did not seem as earthly as previous visits, however there was great variety and we really enjoyed everything. A friend ordered her steak medium-well, which was more medium-rare. (This was fine with us as she orders medium-well to make up for an undercook, but a fussier steak eater may have been returned it.) We ordered three of the desserts and shared them between the four of us. Our only issue was that the warm apple crumble wasn't warm enough, more room temperature in the middle. Scored a nice deal using an app so I went for it. I was tight on time so I thought I’d order take away to try out the food quietly but order ended up coming out pretty late. The space comfortably accommodated the 50+ guests, and the energy throughout the night was joyful and relaxed. Some guests even kicked on to karaoke afterwards as it’s clearly a great starting point for a night out in Adelaide. I absolutely loved the vibe of Kent Town Hotel, full of charm, character, and thoughtful service. It’s a fantastic space for events or a casual meal and drink, and I’d happily return next time I’m in Adelaide.

We are normally fairly easily pleased, but.... Firstly the service was ordinary at best but in defence of the waiting staff they were understaffed and they knew it. My $28 Caeser salad was again limp and stodgy. No mean feat to achieve IMHO. The pizzas were huge but pretty much just big fairly tasteless hunks of pizza bread. The one shining light on the night was the ribs. Huge, tasty and perfectly cooked. I know pub food can't be expected to taste like it's had the same pride and care put into that a good restaurant plate has but neither should it taste like the cook literally DGAF. Won't be recommending the Bath hotel, in fact I'll be warning people away. Gotta wonder how they get away with it considering all the foodary competition along the Parade. No one from the waiting staff to the duty manager to the kitchen staff seemed to have any pride in what they were doing and whole experience for us reflected this.
