What a hidden gem! This free museum was well worth the 1.5-hour drive from where we live. We brought four teens (ages 13–17), and they actually enjoyed it — they even stayed off their electronics, which says a lot!

We had a great day exploring the museum. The butterfly exhibit is the main attraction but there is a lot more neat exhibits inside as well. We spent a good 3 hours and probably could have spent a little more time . The kids ages ranged from 3 to 11 and they all had a great time . All the workers were extremely nice and helpful. This is a wonderful museum on UF campus! After 3:30pm on weekdays and on weekends, the large parking lot lifts and is free. The museum has free entry and some exhibits are paid, such as the butterfly garden. There is something for everyone, some areas having activities for kids. The butterfly garden is the best part, I could go back over and over! Hundreds of species of butterflies and many birds walk around.

This is a lovely and very airy art museum. They have a pretty diverse collection and the collection includes some big name artists too. I would definitely recommend stopping in. I do have two minor complaints; one is the wall of Asian art pieces did not have descriptive placards next to the pieces. There was a book to look through to find information, but the information was sparse. Second, while I appreciate the need to change up the collection from time to time, they had no artwork from their permanent collection of African art on display. Overall, my favorite room was the Florida artwork. I enjoyed seeing this beautiful state shown in different styles and viewpoints.

Fantastic art museum, especially given the size of the town - no offense but Gainesville isn’t the size of Atlanta or NYC. I was gobsmacked at some of the pieces owned by the museum. A Monet. Two Wileys. There was also a visiting exhibit of French post modernists. An amazing Asian exhibit. With pieces 4000 yrs old! Also it’s FREE.
I wasn’t able to visit the outdoor section or downstairs - my older father was worn out. My 5 stars are for what I did see. And loved.

We enjoyed our visit to the Harn Museum of Art in Gainesville. The variety of exhibits offered something for everyone, and it was a relaxing way to spend the afternoon. Our 14-year-old, who usually loves creating art, was engaged at first but lost interest about halfway through, next time we might try the audio tour to keep things more interactive. The 20-year-olds in our group both enjoyed themselves, with one finding it especially interesting.
That said, it’s probably not a spot that will hold much interest for most younger children, as the experience leans more toward quiet observation than hands-on interaction. A couple of other notes for future visitors: unless you need the restroom, there’s not much reason to head downstairs, and unfortunately the gift store was closed during our visit, which was a little disappointing. Most of the staff we encountered were courteous, but not exactly helpful—almost as if they assumed everyone visiting had been there before.
Still, it was an enjoyable experience overall, and we’d be happy to return to see new exhibits and try a different approach next time.

A beautifully arranged garden! I love how it goes around very old and natural landscapes, sinkholes and trees. There are a couple informative short films, I would suggest watching before you venture out. It was hot! Be sure to go early, take an umbrella, bug spray, water bottle. This place was very beautiful but it seemed very under kept despite the number of people working there. Some of the signage for the plants were difficult to tell which plants they were. Aside from that there is a very nice kids play ground and it seemed like the event area was well kept up. Definitely would like to revisit in the spring to see more flowering plants. Most trails are wheelchair accessible but some trails are very thin dirt trails.

The Cade Museum for Creativity & Invention is the only one that hasn’t left me glassy-eyed from information overload. A mind, after all, is not a vessel to be filled, but a fire to be kindled.
While inventors are its focus, the magic is in the creative ways it pays homage to those who make our lives better through science.
Cade — the lead inventor who created the formula for Gatorade, originally called Cade-ade — was a pioneer of out-of-the-box thinking. His story exemplifies the struggle inventors face bringing ideas to light and ultimately to the consumer. While the museum focuses on his career and also recognizes other players in the Gatorade success story, it gives equal time to the wonders of invention
Staff turns learning into fun, even for old timers who barely passed science and math classes. Whether perfecting the art of homemade slime, using a 3-D printer or experimenting in its two labs (“Osmosis” was the topic when I visited), there is no shortage of activities to keep minds engaged and more importantly, open to new ideas.
Dr. Cade, a nephrologist on the University of Florida faculty, wasn’t primarily an inventor, but he provided museum seed money in 2004 to create a tribute to a renegade breed. Men and women who swim against the tide of the status quo to reach new shores. He died in 2007 and didn’t live to see it fully conceived, but his daughter and son-in-law, Phoebe and Richard Miles took up the torch.
In 2018, they christened the Cade Museum for Creativity and invention, all 21,000 square feet of it. Always evolving, they currently are expanding an outdoor musical maze that will be a mini-forest filled with instruments the young and young-at-heart can try their hand at. Among many talents, Dr. Cade was an accomplished musician.
Teachers take note.
All this is from a man some said was “too dumb for medical school.” One of the most inspiring artifacts in the museum is a letter his instructor sent home to his parents, saying he would not amount to anything if he did not quit cutting up in class.
An added attraction of the museum is across the street, where Cade’s beloved Studebaker collection is housed. They are only on display during special events throughout the year, such as the Inventivity Bash in early May.

Museum was cool, enough to do for both my kids, ages 5 and 8, but seemed better for the 8yo or younger kids. I enjoyed the science lab where museum staff engaged with people and helped us make slime. Kids are free, we paid $3 per adult on the Museums For All scheme.
Some of the activities on the second floor were out of order, so we couldn’t complete the Mindbender puzzle experience.
Important note: parking was really awkward because of the one way system. The lot itself isn’t huge, but the strip of reverse-in-angled parking makes it hard to know if you’ll find a spot before going too far, in which case you have to go back onto the street and do both roundabouts again.

My favorite exhibit was the Rube Goldberg room where you could interact with contraptions & move pieces around so that a ball could continually roll while do things like chime a bell. The splash pad is inside the playground area and they are literally connected to each other. So if you are bringing your child to the playground and you did not want them to get wet at the splash pad, just know that they could walk right into the splash pad. The splash pad itself is nice it's not huge so you're not going to get soaked. It's perfect for toddlers I would say sitting age 6mo? To about 5? I'm sure older kids would also like it but I can see them getting bored quicker the playground itself is huge and very nice! My daughters absolutely loved it. There was a sand area, plenty of seating and shade, super nice facilities, a walking path around it, overall I really loved this playground! I tried to take a few photos but wanted to be respectful of everybody in the playground and around the splash pad. One thing I did not realize (it's posted on the gate when you enter but I was distracted while getting my kids through) you cannot bring food in! We did, and a worker came up and told us we had to take it out lol oops! What do you do when you have a crazy toddler and baby bc I completely missed the signs even though they are posted on every entrance!

There’s ample parking, a beautiful kids playground, a nice central pond with fountain, a cordoned off area that’s shallow, calmer water, where there is wildlife, including alligators, numerous turtles, crane. The park is one of the best I’ve ever been to. There’s a great walking trail here, and a museum nearby. Depot Park is one of the best places to hang out in downtown Gainesville. It’s super clean with great views and a relaxing vibe. Whether you're into walking, cycling, or just sitting under a tree, it’s perfect.

Lovely park. I attended a party for a 3 year old. A Pavillion had been rented, so even though a heat wave was underway, we had some shade. Rest rooms and parking were close by. The children were able to walk around the fenced lake and see turtles, birds and gators. Love to come here and visit the animals. There are cows, chickens, sheep, and feral hogs. The hours for this area are slightly shorter than the park's hours though so plan accordingly.
There is also a decent length of trail here, and it's a great place to find many species of birds. There is also a bird blind where you can observe birds coming to feeders (not kept up recently it seems.) We heard bobwhites calling to each other yesterday which was really eerie and cool!
The biggest cons of this park: not dog friendly due to the farm area, and you wouldn't be advised bringing your k9 friend here anyway because I have never pulled so many ticks off of myself and my fiancée on any of our hikes. Tick season is in full swing there as of May 3rd, so be prepared!

I was very impressed and pleased with my visit to the Matheson History Museum. We arranged for a guided tour with the museum director, who seemed happy to comply with our request and was extremely well-informed about the history of Gainesville in general and the individuals and items highlighted in the specific displays, as well as the Matheson’s, and the Matheson house and tool shed. The main gallery is currently hosting displays featuring women who were historically significant in Gainesville and the surrounding area and are quite well done and interesting. The Matheson house has unique rooms, each with furniture and decor (not original, unfortunately) from a certain time period.
Bottom line: I really enjoyed my tour of the museum and, if you’re at all interested in Gainesville, you will as well! FYI: admission is by donation so bring $5 or $10 :-)

Very enjoyable! It's a long way down in but there are landings every so often so a person can rest! If you're not up to the stairs you can walk around the park on an extremely easy trail to hike. And a nice bridge to walk across! You can see one of the creeks that runs into the sink hole. It does have roots so watch your step. The Rangers were extremely nice!

Would love more trail but thankful for what’s there. The trail at the top around the rim is only 0.5 miles. 264 stairs round trip to the sinkhole observation deck. Would love it it you could get closer (ground level boardwalk?) to them bottom or have access to the water. Typical state park prices but I’m a pass holder so didn’t need to pay - you can pay online. They do a guided walk on Saturday AMs if you’d like that. I prefer self guiding. The visitor center looks fabulous with very nice displays. Super large clean restrooms (unisex). Picnic tables and grills available. Benches along the 0.5 mile trail. Plenty of parking. Lots of shade so even on a hot day it’s good.

It was OK. I'm sure it's much more spectacular with more water, but we also visited Providence Canyon, GA this year which is no comparison. It's a great spot to stop off and stretch your legs. The stairs were a nice workout since I haven't been on the stairclimber in a few days. And the nature was nice and shady. I'd say it was between .5 and .75 mi around. The parking lot also has a lot of shade and several picnic tables to enjoy a sandwich or snack. There's restrooms and some educational info as well.

I can’t think of a better place to spend a couple hours honestly. Now I understand most people will not spend that length of time, it will be a neat thing to walk through and that’s about all. But for me, the sounds of the waterfalls and the different birds make it an absolute oasis to experience. Butterfly Rainforest had a nice large enclosed patio area full of beautiful butterflies and Luscious Landscaping. It was also a little bigger then I thought it would be. I didn't realize it had a full Museum inside until we arrived and I saw the sign for the museum. The museum was great it had a lot of different displays and was very informative. We had an amazing experience here at the butterfly garden! Seriously can't say enough good. We got a couple dollar discount on admission because of being FL residents.The indoor portion was very informative and educational. Also very well laid out and organized.
The outdoor area, actual rainforest garden, was beautiful! Water fountains, birds, butterflies and beautiful plants. We enjoyed walking and taking it all in. Can easily spend a couple hours here. We enjoyed being able to observe all the nature up close in a safe weather proof environment.
The Florida museum is right next door. We did not visit that today, but it was quite large and looked to be a full day.
Parking was $4 and in a lot right next to museum. Restrooms available and a nice fair prices gift shop and penny machine at entrance.

This is a real review, I visited in august and I was focusing on photography specifically looking to capture wildlife. Before I went I read lots of reviews that didn’t tell me exactly what I wanted to hear so I thought I’d write a review to help anyone who may want to hear what I needed too before coming.
Review (Neutral Notes):
Be sure to bring sunscreen, water, and if you’re sensitive to heat maybe some Advil or Tylenol for headaches. I’d eat before visiting only because you will be in for a workout regardless of what you do. Expect Bees, Wasps, and Large flies. The wildlife will not mess with you unless you mess with it, as most animals and insects are scared of you and may only act in self defense.
Review (Positive Notes):
First Impressions, Parking was pretty empty mind you it is summer time, and on a weekend, at the time of writing this. $5 for parking, full day. no entrance fees, app was easy to use, and I had no issues. Although there were many people there it didn’t feel Cramped because of how much space the area has to offer. They offer a map that you can write notes on, SUPER helpful many people write down where they spot animals and it allowed me to navigate the perfect path to find the animals I wanted to see and it was fairly accurate. They offer shaded areas along the trail to sit and rest, some of these include drinking water stations which came in handy for sure. Most of the trails were open and allowed me to move along the edges of the trails to get perfect angles for my photography. The animals themselves, tons of birds, alligators, and turtles. There were deer and an owl when I went but I’m sure that has all to do with the off chance that you stumble across them. The animals are also seem to be used to people they allowed me to get up close and personal allowing me to use a 70-200mm lens with no issues, Although I feel that may depend on the way you approach the wildlife. People are very friendly, great trail for runs or walks, and includes time consuming trails for those who want to spend the day or shorter paths for those looking for a quick sighting or workout.

Lots of spider webs in certain areas, Drinking water faucet is dirty I personally did not want to use it because of that, bathroom was very unsanitary & dirty, although i had no issue reading the map it could be a lot more clear, and Informative signs we’re damaged due too heat and unable to read the information provided.

For a small parking fee, this park provided nice walking trail that featured a variety of wild life. Wish I’d gotten a photo, but a juvenile alligator enjoyed a nice stroll down one of the paths unfazed by people.

Very beautiful park. There’s is a free guided tour were they take you around the park and explain to you the history of the Sweetwater wetlands. You can call them to reserve a spot, they are given every Tuesday’s and Thursdays at 9:30 am. Really recommend to get to know the place.

Beautiful wetlands overlooking the Paynes Prairie Preserve. I saw lots of birds, beautiful vegetation and a handful of gators. The trails are wheelchair and stroller friendly and well-maintained. Going into the planetarium I was a little bit skeptical because I believed that it would be an old fashioned projector and the shows would be outdated and boring. However I was wrong. The projection system is state of the art and even being upgraded today. The shows are interesting and up to date on all plantary/galaxy knowledge. I personally recommend the one on Black Holes. It is a perfect introduction to the subject.

The Thomas Center holds a very special place in my heart. In my opinion, it is the perfect venue space. Located in the heart of Gainesville near downtown, it has beautiful historical charm, several photo shoot locations and to me is the most perfect venue space! My husband and I used to have picnics under the large, magical oak tree and under that same tree is where we said our vows to each other. Honestly, for us there weren’t any cons to this place. Some people may not be happy if you want to use sparkles and they do have a limit on how many people fit inside the venue space. However, those restrictions were not an issue for us at all.
To us the pros included:

-Accessible parking
-Helpful and organized staff
-Great network of vendors to work with

The staff at the Thomas Center went above and beyond to make our wedding day feel extra special! Kathy Nguyen and Jessica Loveless were phenomenal to work with, especially planning a wedding with several COVID restrictions in place. They answered all of my questions in a timely fashion and helped us plan a safe, intimate and beautiful wedding during a pandemic. The day of my wedding everyone greeted me so warmly and I will never forget everything they did to make us feel welcome and comforted. For our 3/26/22 wedding, we booked the Historic Thomas Center. We had a great experience throughout the entire touring/booking process. Kathy and Jessica provided excellent service and had timely responses to all of my questions.
This venue allows you to book out different rooms/areas based upon what you need, and for what length of time. However, the venue as a whole only books one event per day, so the entire grounds are basically exclusive. We rented out the Turtle Court, Veranda, Period Room, Long Gallery, and Spanish Court for different areas, and all of the spots were clean, well maintained, and gorgeous for our guests! The pricing for this venue was also extremely competitive with others that we looked into and found that it was worth every penny.
We took bridal and family pictures out in the garden. Please be advised that while the signs clearly state dogs are not allowed, there were multiple dogs in the park, and dog feces on the ground. Be careful where you step!

Nice park divided up into separate areas: parking, playground/picnic area, garden, hiking.
We visited this dog and child friendly park while waiting for our car's 5000 mile maintenance checkup at the Toyota dealership. It was 9 minutes away.
Parking area is small. Driveway shares the Elk's Club.
The beginning of the park is a shaded trail that opens up into the picnic area. Super nice large pavilion with a men and women' bathroom and play area .
Women's bathroom was nasty, but clean with toilet paper. There was a lot of rust on the mirror, inside door, and dripping down the walls from the soap dispenser.
Not much in the way is a playground, but it looked new and well maintained.
Leaving the picnic area is a short trail that leads to the garden. Was very peaceful and zen with nice seating areas and a water feature. Not much in the way of garden plants, but a very nice space.
The walking trail starts after the garden. It meanders along and over a creek. There are a lot of well built walking bridges made of recycled plastic and well stocked dog stations. The trail stops at a roadway and we turned around to walk back.
The whole park experience was very nice and took maybe a half hour. The park was not busy, but we did encounter other pleasant people and leashed pets along the way.
It was a nice discovery and I highly recommend a visit.

I love coming to this park. I bring my dobie with me and he enjoys it as well (must be leashed). It’s all nature beautiful; lots of birds, plants, trees to admire. The trail is perfect for a stress relieving walk or getting a nice workout (it has some nice inclines). There are multiple entrances to the creek which my dobie loves to go in and get refreshed. There is a small playground next to a shelter which has some tables. It’s very peaceful and I highly recommend coming here if you’re looking for a relaxing time.

Best theater around. Movies really come alive in the rooms in this theater. Such a thrill to watch anything on the screen. The audio sounds superb and the electric recliners are very nice. Except sometimes my pocket in my pants presses the button and I start reclining or declining automatically. I am a tall guy so while being fully reclined, there is still plenty of room for anyone to pass by in front of the row. The concessions also sell a variety of food which tastes great and is full of nutrition. I love the reserve seating feature, you no longer have to rush in to find your seat, however you might have to ask someone to get out of your seat and/or get authority to help you ask them to move. Staff are always very friendly and considerate. They try their best to make your experience the best they can. The Hippodrome's Elevator (the oldest elevator in the state of florida) is very cool, and makes the experience of less of jut entering a building but stepping into a historical piece of gainesville. They have movies most days and have performances that go on for two weeks at a time that have really amazing actors. I also want to mention they have almost ALL warm relaxing lighting (as someone who i sensitive to fluorescent lights it a game changer). Since 2005 we've been going to the Hipp for shows. Last night, (Oct 25th, 2025) "The Rocky Horror Show"! Hit Harry's for something to wet ones whistle with & appetizers B 4 the show. It was a full house for the 8 p.m. evening show. AWESOME! "The Fest 23" was also in town for three days/nights of bands, 50 bands played on stages at Bo Didly Plaza & Depot Park, so the town was jumping. I have seen the Rocky Horror Picture Show since my late teens, 39 times over the years. This year marks the 50th year anniversary of Rocky Horror so it just fit to hit it for my 40th time. From start to finish, awesome. Thanks for a fun filled eve. Ilene Silverman, a local tv personality was in the audience & I really think 🤔 she had a blast as well & it showed. I went with a friend of ours, Trisha who was a total Rocky Horror VIRGIN, lol & she too enjoyed the show & she was a little flustered with content, lol!!! The Cast was on target & the vocals were impressive. Overall, 5 star ✨ performance. Thanks for a great evening! Til next time we get together to do 🎶 The Time Warp AGAIN.. 🎵 😜....." Thrills, chills and NO spills! The show we attended at the Phillips center, Cirqúé Kalabantè, was a beautiful and well-choreographed display of athleticism, talent and teamwork. The level of coordination, strength, agility, flexibility and fitness was pretty amazing to this moderately fit girl.
Honestly, the center itself is very nice and modern. Even so, as a hearing impaired person I find the acoustics to be poor. I’ve never seen an accommodation available either, which I’d utilize. The shows I’ve attended, which are quite a few in the past 3 years, are surprisingly hit-or-miss. I do like the Upstage concept, where patrons sit on-stage and view the artist(s).

We went to see Hadestown last night. It was an incredible show. However, the management of the Phillips Center needs work. We were .3 miles away from the theater, stuck at a traffic light to turn onto the theater's road for 45 minutes. They should have planned for high traffic and had a police car stationed at that intersection. Then, once we finally made it to the theater the parking garage was full. Except, they still told people to funnel through the garage just be funneled out and that you'd just have to "find a spot somewhere." People were parked on the grass, we had to park behind the stage near the staff entrance. We were ten minutes late to the show because of their disorganization. We would have appreciated more thoughtful planning for such a popular show.

Beautiful natural gardens with these amazing statues. This is truly a hidden gem hiding in plain sight. There are several extremely large statues, 50 feet tall to enjoy. All paths to the various Buddha are concrete so you are on stable ground. I couldn’t help think how much that concrete cost. Concrete prices fluctuate like gold. Crazy. The Temple requests that you be respectful and follow a few simple rules like, no eating meat on property (vegetarian dishes only), don’t remove anything from property (to include fruit from the trees or plants), don’t climb, sit or deface the statues in any way. Look, don’t touch. No smoking of any kind to include no vaping. No drugs, alcohol, firearms, other weapons, no profanity, no pornographic stuff. Please dispose of trash in trash cans. Basic common sense stuff. Sad we have to be hold these things. Be respectful the same way if someone came to visit your home and church you’d like to be respected. If you can leave a donation, it would be appreciated. If you can’t, enjoy this beautiful place just the same. You are welcome to sit and meditate.

The temple is kept in impeccable order. The statues are massive and impressive. If you have lower body issues (walking issues) this park might not be ideal. The park is being renovated , I’m guessing pavers are in the works. If you have a child stroller or in a wheelchair, there is no way to navigate threw the mounds of sand . Went with my mother in law to look at statues and talk. There was a lovely lady gardening so we asked if that is OK and she welcomed us to walk around. At the door Tina invited us in. The environment was calm and welcoming. She explained to us that they do not ask for money or conversion to a specific ideology. April 26th, 2025 went to a concert, but didn't arrive until almost 7pm to hear Uncle Morty Rhythm Cream and The Grass is Dead. Glad we didn't go earlier because this was mostly an outside venue and it was super hot that day. Bring a cooling device if going during the day to these all day concerts. Bring chairs if you want to sit and be aware that there are only porta potties for lower paying ticket holders. They do have inside bathrooms, but are only reserved for musicians and higher paying VIP ticket holders.
Adult beverage prices are reasonable, average price is $7. Food and ware vendors come in and there are restaurants and a local brewery on the complex.
The sound engineers mixing the bands were very good.
Tickets for this event were $30/person at the door and you were given an armband to be able to come in and out. No pets except service dogs are posted on the website, but I saw a couple of people with non-service dogs, one of them being friends of ours.
Kid friendly, wheel chair accessible, and parking limited, but was not hard for us to find a spot. Be prepared to be beaned with a beachball or run into by some smaller human. Dance area is large and the whole area is mostly grass/dirt.
We traveled about 30 minutes to get there. We met people we know and love and had a good time. We will definitely go again.

Went here for FEST and the whole situation was pretty ridiculous. The outside absolutely stunk, likely because of rain. The inside was too crowded to go into, which isnt necessarily a bad thing. Just inconvenient.
There was a ring of port a potty to use, no indoor bathroom.
The first day, there was a line around the block to get in, which caused people to miss the band playing. We avoided this venue for the remainder of Friday and Saturday.
The 3rd day doors got pushed back about 40 minutes, which isnt the end of the world. But the real garbage thing was guests were told they should go get food and drinks from the connected pizza place, brewery and coffee shop, but then were not allowed to bring any of it in. Didn't make any sense, considering the kind of festival it was and it was posted online we would be able to carry our drinks from venue to venue.
This really promotes over consumption, since people have to either throw out a brand new drink or slam the whole thing before entering, then buy a new one inside. Bad management, in my opinion.

I found this place in the Bring Fido app and went because I thought it would be dog friendly. It was hot and my server didn’t bring our dogs water. We ordered and waited over 10 minutes for a beer and a drink. Walking past the bar on the way to the bathroom, we saw our drinks sitting there. By the time they came to the table, the ice cubes in the drink had watered it down and he did not bring a glass with the can of beer. Our waiter was clearly distracted or angry or he just hates his job. When our neighbors asked for to go box, he brought a small one. The rating is respective of the place, not overall in the restaurant landscape. It’s what I call a little dusty, divey, with good food and college town specials.
Three of us had a burger, a chimichurri chicken and Chic-Fil-Loosey’s Nashville Hot, all with hand cut fries cooked perfectly crisp. The burger was decent sized and cooked well, tasted fresh as did the full set-up, and the chimichurri chicken was good and daughter made it disappear quickly.
The Nashville hot was great, crispy, moist and very spicy! I’d do it again!
They also have music on weekend nights when we’ve been there. And it’s a good mix of students and some locals, and visiting parents. It has plenty of outdoor seating when then weather’s nice and let’s are welcome.
The Sunday drink specials was happy hour all day, great specialty cocktails and Mocktails, I had the $2 PBR tall boy since I was feeling retro collegiate. 🤪
We’ve been about 4-5 over the years and will continue to support them since we all enjoy the place and the service from Elliott was spot on, bravo!!

First there was a line of people outside waiting to order and get seats for the upcoming trivia game. I waited, though I did not play.

Great place. We love going here. Most of the staff is awesome.
But the ushers seem like they're always looking like they don't want to be there. They take their time. Poor body language and a bad silent attitude like they're in a bad mood all the time. Make things way more complicated than they should be and The Vibes are bad with the ushers.
We go here often. But all in all great employees. Very helpful. Very apologetic is something goes wrong.
Would it be nice if they could get some new seats. Most of them are awesome. But a lot of them were worn down.

This is not new as 2 weeks before, I went to this same theater and it was the same. inside the building was good though. Plenty of employees working concession. The movie and seats were good. At the time of this review, for $25 you get an all you can play experience with at least 25 pinball machines, and 40-50 arcade machines. IF you are bringing your children ages 5 to 12... Go somewhere else. The majority of the 2 player games had either damaged screens or busted control's. The few games to win " credits " for prizes do not work. Multiple games when using your prepaid card take the credit and dont launch the game. i told the only staff member and she said " oh yeah some of the machines are like that right now". Then when I explained that the machine was scanning our cards but not initiating the game she tried to make it out like I didn't understand how their credit system worked. 80+ dollars for one adult and a 6 year old is not something to grab about. If your gonna be an adult arcade with beer do that . If your gonna have a kids section great, but dont half *** the kids stuff and expect parents not to drag this sorry excuse for a all ages arcade.

Pricey, but actually a DEAL if you stay a while. We usually go to Dave and Busters but decided to give this place a shot and we were very impressed. It has many of the exact same games as D&B but it's less crowded and you have unlimited play once you pay the entrance fee. My young children had a blast and we could all play as MUCH as we want which is pretty special. Shout out to the Halo game and the deer hunting game! Almost every game worked and they quickly helped us when asked. D&B may look nicer but if you have 2 hours or more, this arcade is the better deal. It's great Gville has both options.

EPIC! This is truly an Amazing Movie House Theatre! And it is worth EVERY PENNY watching movies on the Old Mill Playhouse’s HUGE Big Screen along with their incredible Sound System. I LOVE sharing the movie theater experience with my family members, their children, great grandchildren, AND my friends. Believe me, I get it. It costs money to do so. However as an “oldie” I can tell you for sure two things. One, if your money doesn’t go for this, there is ALWAYS another place it’s going to. Suggestion: Cut down on a few grocery items. If anyone complains, simply explain you’d rather take them to the Old Mill Movie House instead! I have proof; the argument …. it ends “immediately!” Second, you are NOT alone. Terrible experience! I bought tickets online for The Conjuring, very excited to see it. Showtime was 7:55, we arrived at 7:20 and were checked in and told theater 4, we then spent $60 on popcorn etc. then went into the theater and there was already a movie playing, we thought maybe we are early and this is the end of whatever is playing, multiple employees saw us confused and waiting and just let us sit there in the lobby, at 7:45 I approached the concession stand to ask and they just kept saying theater 4, an assistant manager then stepped in and long story short they sold us tickets for a time the movie was not playing, it was in theater 4 but started at 7:10! Megan the assistant manager offered us a refund OR free passes, really? The refund should have been a given and the passes for the inconvenience not to mention the $60 in concession refunded as that all got tossed, AND they did not refund the service fee!!! Then she says it’s the last night this movie is playing, it’s only been in theaters for 2 weeks!!!!!
Megan didn’t seem to care about making it right.
Shame on you Old Mill Playhouse, especially the way it was handled, they just didn’t care, we won’t visit here ever, ever, ever again!!!!!

Something is very wrong here. No ticket taker, line of 15 people at concession and one slow worker. Place seems like a ghost town. Get this - movie was scheduled for 3:40 start. At 3:45 the movie came on (no commercials or coming attractions). They didn't turn the lights off for about 10 minutes into the movie and only after someone went out and complained. Manager must have been sleeping. This is inexcusable. Luckily it was a silly movie.

Wonderful park, nice pool, and good walking trails. My husband, two kids and I went on a walk through the trails yesterday. There were some spots where water made it hard to pass, but it has been raining a lot. Across the street from the playground, there's a cool trail where orange/brown water runs in a stream.
