When the sushi roll arrived the waitress said again (xyz roll with no avocado) I had one bite of the food and immediately felt my throat and lips start to swell which led me to pick through the sushi roll- in which I shockingly discovered there were small pieces of avocado (see attached photo) in each piece of the sushi. My family immediately flagged down the waitress in which she quickly said “oh my god I didn’t know you were allergic”? I then left very quickly with my dad to seek medical care while my mother stayed behind to speak with the manager who was only mildly apologetic and clearly didn’t understand the severity of the situation. I personally received no apology ... and the manager did nothing to rectify the mistake that the restaurant made and did not even offer to cover our dinner bill which was absolutely insulting considering our dinner was completely ruined with us needing to leave as soon as the food had arrived because I needed to go to the hospital. In addition to paying hundreds of dollars for a dinner that WE DIDN'T GET TO EAT- I also had thousands in medical bills and fees because I also had to cancel my vacation due to needing ongoing medical care for a week after the reaction. All of this was completely preventable had the restaurant not served me a dish that had avocado in it (despite me asking multiple times if the roll could be made without avocado). The patio is charming and was totally packed with groups of all sizes. We grabbed a table inside where there’s also a small chef’s counter and it was equally full indoors. Service was really speedy, drinks were generous and surprisingly priced (my glass of wine was $9 and would have been at least a glass and a half anywhere else) and everything we ate was super fresh. Standouts were the sashimi and what I think is the biggest bargain on the menu, a huge crab (Kani) salad for $4.95! It was a good amount of chicken with good flavor. The shrimp tempura sushi roll was just okay. I will say, the presentation of the food was nice. The service was great and friendly. We had edamame, egg rolls, pad thai, and a spicy pork belly broccoli dish. The place itself is on the smaller side, but that wasnt an issue as we were one of two groups there. The staff were super friendly and attentive without interrupting our meal. The service/staff truly saved this rating. The edamame was not great. It wasnt cooked enough for the pods to easily separate and some of the pods tasted off...which is weird with edamame. The egg rolls were also problematic. The pork inside was dry and crumbly, the outer shell crispy but a bit overcooked, and the noodles and other filling kind of mushy. Very disappointing. My date complained to me after the meal that her pad thai was bad too. She didnt enjoy the frothy/foamy fried tofu pieces, and the pad thai itself was also not enjoyable comparativily to other thai spots we've been to. However, my pork belly chinese broccoli dish was good. My only critique is some of the broccoli stalks were very thick, but they were cooked well enough where it wasnt a problem. The pork belly and spice level was pretty good. My two takeaways are that the fryer grease/oil may be dirty and that could explain the dark tinted fried items and although service was super friendly, the food left a lot to be desired. I will probably give this spot another shot at some point and hope it goes better.

Which is pretty hard to get wrong. I enjoyed it but it was on a bed of lettuce so made it look like you're getting more. Wings were a good size and were flavorful. Tempura shrimp came with a lot of veggies that were overly breaded to my liking. The shrimp was cleaned out, so that helped. But I wasn't the biggest fan of it. The rolls are a nice size but the rolls I got were okay. The spice tuna was a solid choice but I don't think I would be the happy hour sushi again.

The owners must not visit the site much. That's how it looks. This review comes from a 20 year restaurant server who started serving at a Perkins and ended in fine dining in Seattle. When we got here, we learned about the "all you can eat" (AYCE) option and opted for that instead, and we were not disappointed. But the main course is obviously the meats, which you can order 5 of (at once) for your table. We tried most of the standard beef and pork options, of which my favorites were the marinated sirloin (by far) and also the spicy pork bulgogi. There was a large variety between the meats, so it was interesting to try different ones. Along with all the sauces, it was very easy to have each bite be a bit unique, though I do wish they had a larger variety of sauces available. Overall, I really enjoyed the food and also the experience, as I never really had the much variety of high-quality foods before. The one negative (besides the sushi for me) that I would mention is that the service felt a bit slow at times, especially for the meats which took time to cook so felt essential to have that quick. However, some parts we ordered did come quick, so that did keep us satisfied. BTW, the popsicles at the end are a very nice finisher!
