The chicken was roasted to perfection and the couscous was beautifully seasoned. The green chilli labneh was also nice, but not as good as the garlic one, in my opinion. We had the Chang Mai chicken larp and Som Tum to start with. The larp is considerably hot, like super hot. Be aware. But lots of flavour and well presented. Som Tum is always nice and this one didn’t disappoint. We washed our starters down with cocktails..combo of Mai Thai and classic margaritas. We then moved onto mains and shared fried rice with crab meat, noodles with beef, pork curry and grilled king fish. Thoroughly enjoyed, tons of flavours and well balanced. We then shared roti and banana and black sticky rice with coconut. The roti was amazing…I wanted to lick the plate. This dish was supposed to come with “green mango” salad but instead it came with cucumber salads and nothing was mentioned by staff when we placed the order. According to their chef, the green mango is in the puréed sauce and to the waiter, green mango is not in season… both were not truthful as shops are definitely selling green mangoes and there’s not the slightest taste of green mango in the salad seasoning. Very disappointed to be deceived. It would have been so much better to just tell customers on ordering that you don’t have green mangoes so customers can make informed decisions whether to still order or not. This was our biggest let down so you might want to consider asking the staff “what is NOT available” before you proceed to ordering any dishes! The booking process was easy and the communication prior to our visit was excellent. All questions and queries were responded to quickly. We were well taken care of by our waitress Keira and nothing was to much to ask. Food was delicious and of high standard. Entre was Kingfish Ceviche; loved it. Main fish (Barramundi) was bland, but not a fishy tast, just the proper 'white fish' taste. But in combination with the rest on the plate, it came to life and a true sensation for the taste buds. Desert was of the right sweetness and some 'sour' patches which made you long for more. This was the first time for our son to eat "fancy" and he loved it. Next visit on our list will be the high tea option. Although not one of the cheapest restaurant, its food is fabulous and the view is magnificent from the 33rd floor and a 360 turn in roughly an hour. So, saw a lot of the greater Perth area during the lunch. Definitely recommend C Restaurant.

As a sweet tooth myself I couldn’t help but be excited to try this place especially the chocolate peanut slice, boy was I disappointed. The baklava cheesecake was tasty however the bombe Alaska dessert didn’t arrive until 30mins after all the other desserts. The service was good and staff were well-trained. The ambience was somewhat taken away by the screens blocking the balcony so we weren’t even able to see the sunset we had specifically come to Bib and Tucker to see.

I'm happy to say Massimo's wine recommendation was stellar and that I am now looking to buy this wine to enjoy with family and friends. Points also go towards the brooding design and atmosphere of Shadow. Food-wise, the oysters were ok, the scallop was actually great but the real let down was the prawn dish. The bisque was watery and flavourless and the prawns a tad tough. The asparagus dish was also just ok, though "scorched", there was not much of a smoky flavor. (I suppose the allure of char is also in the contribution of smokiness which I felt was missing from this dish.) For the price and promise of such a beautifully designed space and fantastic staff, an improvement in the food would definitely lift Shadow's game.
