Came with beans, rice, tortillas, salsa. Chicken had great flavor, fajitas were tender and seasoned perfectly. Made a reservation for my lady and I celebrating an accomplishment. They accomodated our requests and congratulated her with a handwritten note and a complimentary dessert which was not expected but highly appreciated. The level of service is outstanding. Gary was our server. He was knowledgeable, friendly and couldn't have been more attentive to our needs. I observed the whole team from servers, bartenders, runners, and management present during service, each playing a pivotal role in making each guest feel special. Filet minon all delicious and perfectly cooked/salted. The sides were perfect; lobster mac & cheese was so flavorful and creamy; mash potatoes & Brussels sprouts were delicious. The girls loved the 4oz filet minons & fries. The cheese bread puffs were perfect and the kids loved them. Bottle of Duckhorn merlot was perfect to the meal. They had very unique flavors and combinations. I give the place 4 stars in quality of food only because the tortillas were not made in house. They were very obviously packaged tortillas which is shame considering the meats and flavors were delicious and the name of the "chef" owner is posted. There is minimal parking but a very cool little building. We got the chips and salsa and a few different tacos to try. I was definitely expecting for the tacos to have more flavor than they did. If we could eat with your eyes , this place is a visual feast of decor and food presentation. Visually the food looks great! Unfortunately, the taste and texture of the tortas was underwhelming. The pork was underseasoned and dry. Bread to sauce ratio was mostly bread and not enough sauce to fully soften the torta. The tomato based sauce was muted of any deep flavors. This place did not remind me of the tortas from Guadalajara where I originate. The cripsy taco had a slight advantage of being fried but same case in flavors. The speed of service should have been a warning flag as to give it away that everything is pre-made. It smelled so clean you wouldn't think they cook in the building. The gringa was very pretty but again the pastor meat was underwhelming, and the pineapple slices made it tolerable. The guacamole and chips gave me this sensation that it was almost made from powdered avacados since they blend it into a perfect goop. No hand mashed gauc here, folks. The building itself has some great history and I believe I was told this latest one is the third owner. Everyone we met last night took such great care us. About 20 minutes later, our food was brought to our table. The presentation was nice. Note, I gave the food 4 stars because the, while everything tasted good, my dish - breakfast plate - was a little cool, and the diced potatoes were a little under cooked. We both had the opportunity to use the restrooms on premises, and found them to be very clean, and gender neutral. Overall, we had a good experience, and meeting. I'm guessing because it was a Wednesday morning around 9:30 am, business was light, and thus there wasn't that much noise in the Bakery / café. Business did pick up around 10:30'ish. As soon as we told him we were from out of town he proceeded to tell us everything about the area and why dining with them was one of our best choices. They weren't shooing everyone out the door, since the place was still about half full, but the end of night cleanup process was giving the hint to hurry up. The poor restaurant is in need of some love. They did 3/4 of a remodel 15 years ago, and other than shuffling tables around it's just the same. I went up to the counter to make sure they did not already call my name because that is just how long it took to get our burgers we couldn’t believe how backed up they were with it not being that busy hence why I took the photo of the line and people in the restaurant. The burger was OK. The bun was nothing to write home about it barely had any mayo on it and it had no mustard no ketchup. The onion rings were lukewarm. I would’ve liked them a little hotter and they tasted good at first but the more I ate them the more they tasted like grease. The french fries were good. They have a dog friendly patio, which is nice and it looks like they have really neat drinks like strawberry and cream and mango bananas and desserts and stuff, but I didn’t partake in that. I don’t think I’d be back to this establishment it’s further away more expensive and the service was not great compared to the place. I normally go to.
