The French Toast...I-. Just YES. Please dont deprive yourself of the french toast. The bread was of a fine selection. It was evenly cooked with the perfect firm:fluff ratio, and hinted at sweetness. The portion was significantly larger than I had expected. The whipped cream on top was refreshing and almost reminiscent of ice cream. The strawberry slices completed the flavor package extremely well. I stopped myself halfway through the french toast so that I could save it for last. The potatoes were cut into the perfect size (for me) to enjoy. The were well seasoned, and not just salted. Again, a HINT at saltiness. I made light work of them. The pancake, too, was larger than I had expected. The vegan butter was the perfect salty spread to go along with the sweet maple syrup. I finished the pancake with haste. The Jackfruit slider had the perfect sweet and savory BBQ(?) sauce and was topped with purple cabbage slaw that gave an awesome flavor-texture compliment. My mission was breakfast, but the slider was such the apropos nod to lunch that I didnt know I needed. The tea was also very refreshing and aside from its health benefits, did well to soothe, and pleasantly cleaned the palate after the final sweet morsels of the french toast. I warmly enjoyed the variety of the genres of music, although it was at the perfect volume and all stayed in the same realm of calm and relaxation. I thoroughly enjoyed the entirety of my visit, even down to the compassionate message at the bottom of my receipt. I will make every attempt to visit again. Down to Earth had all my favorite snacks in stock today so i was very happy. Always clean, well stocked and a great friendly staff, its always a joy to shop here. Being originally from Aiea, its one of my favorite places to be. I can always find something that tastes good and is good for you here because there is a always vast selection of nice choices to choose from. I love picking up new eco Bags especially with Pineapple prints or Heather Brown designs are among my favorites. Also i love seeing new colors to choose from with hydroflask as well. Kitchen goods and vitamins/supplements selection are excellent. I love the greeting cards here as well. However compared to other plant food places I’ve been to it was just okay. I did like the local produce sourcing. The portions are small. There are tables on the porch over looking the water. Service was good, but not outstanding the food was brought quickly for our party of 7 and seated right away on a Friday night. I had the steak which had great presentation, but was overly tough and lacked in the flavor department. The garlic mashed potatoes were good and I substituted the seasonal veggies for white rice ( tried swapping for the Mexican rice but the cooks wouldn't allow it). Tables and booths were cozy, but the red LED lights plus ceiling fans were an interesting combo. Also one of the lights kept getting brighter, then would dim out which was a bit of an eye sore. My main concern was the Wellness Fee. I understand and acknowledge that it is a great concept to be able to provide employee benefits for your staff, however, as the customer, that shouldn’t be my responsibility. We then had breakfast this moring and the Bacon, Egg and Cheese Sando was spectacular and my wife's Guacamole Toast, also spectacular. I wish we found this place earlier as I would literally eat here every day. We haven't even touched on the atmosphere and views from the window seats...this place IS an 11 out of 10!
