Thankfully the syrup came on the side and was not needed. Almost spot-on taste but so visually unappealing. Chilaquiles with Beef & Eggs I have never heard of this but I definitely wanted to try it after our friend explained what it was. Simply put, it was like a side of nachos but minus the guac & sour cream, served on a platter with a thin piece of steak, two eggs, and refried beans on the side. The meat was so thin it was funny that they even asked how I'd like it cooked. The combination of subtle flavors actually married well together. The red or green sauce (I got red and it wasn't spicy) is drizzled on the tortilla chips only, not the entire dish. Cuates y Cuetas Omelette My spouse's dish. It's a mushroom, bacon, ham, cheese, onion & green pepper combo that came with sides of refried beans and overcooked breakfast potatoes & green peppers. Mainstream but done well. We haven't had a bad omelette yet in PV! SERVICE: This was the biggest downfall of the experience. Not that we were in a rush, but for advice-sake, be forewarned. It honestly took about 30 minutes for just the French toast to come out. After our table of 5 finished that, all of our plates came out at one time about 10 minutes later, reasonably hot. Our male server was fine, but this is the only place that we experienced difficulty with paying in US dollars. It’s a rustic homecooked meal reminiscent of a loving parents cooking I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. While talking to the owner I was made aware that since they moved spaces their foot traffic has greatly decreased. I think we can do better for one of vallartas ethnic gems. They were also reasonably priced and we left very full. The restaurant was clean and the staff were nice. Everything was so fresh too! We ordered the Karage chick-in ( soy protein), the Yokohoma Tantan Ramen and the Tokyo Shoyu ramen. The Karage was really crispy outside with a spicy interior and great balance of flavors and seasoning. The ramen was really finger licking delicious. The Tantan ramen had a really flavorful mushroom broth with addition of peanuts, bok-choy cilantro soy protein, nori( dried seaweed ) and I added the shitake mushrooms as extra. The other ramen had a flavorful broth with the addition of peanuts. The balance of flavors were really great with mild spiciness and great umami flavor. This is a must try place in Puerto Vallarta.

Our room had two double beds but I really wished they offered two queens, as the beds felt small for a parent and a child to share. Also the beds and pillows were really uncomfortable. The mattresses were so hard and the pillows were lumpy. For a Hyatt property we definitely expected better quality and comfort. Overall though we had a wonderful time

As for the location, it was very convenient especially it was walking distance to a local shopping mall. We took uber/taxi to go to Walmart and the downtown. Also we did swimming with dolphins with the kids. You can register at the travel desk in the hotel. Another unforgettable memories. There are so many nicer hotels like 5-star, 4-star, top brands hotels but for a big family like us, it gets really pricey. This hotel was just fun, convenient covers what you need/want for a vacation in Mexico.

A plate of enchiladas, one of tacos, and a salad for myself were delivered over a half hour later with no offers for refill of beverages or the chips and salsa which were barely enough for one person in the beginning and I had eaten most of them before my friends arrived. We were the only sitting guests in the restaurant and for them to have three waiters and two cooks I would have expected a little more attention and followup from the wait staff and definitely not over a 30 minute wait for such simple orders. I will go back and give them another try one day soon. Now, there is construction on the street in front now so no steet parking at all, no handicapped facilities at all, there is a restroom for diners, kids are welcome, no highchairs, and this is cash only like many small restaurants in Mexico. Another thing I think is key in any business serving the public is smile and a thank you. The two of those go a long way to make up for possible other shortfalls.
