We were all really looking forward to it. We arrived at reception at 6:30pm and waited about 10 minutes but no one came to seat us. The restaurant wasn’t even that busy, but there was only 1-2 waiter serving everyone. She promised us a free drink as an apology, but in the end, we didn’t get anything at all. Meanwhile, people queuing at the bar got their drinks straight away, while we waited nearly 50 minutes for ours — it was really unacceptable. It wasn’t just our table waiting — the nearby customers were all waiting too. Another 15 minutes later, our starters finally arrived, followed by the mains, but they still missed one of our dishes. The merch counter was also well staffed and everyone was very friendly. I've been on club nights also and definitely one of the best clubs I've been to, great place, even when it's rammed it never feels unsafe- with security and safety team in the bathrooms and checking on anyone who's been in a cubicle for a while. The drinks aren't too badly priced and you generally don't have to wait ages to order/get your drink. Tunes are amazing and one of my favourite places to be!

For example, I just went to watch a film, someone chose the seat directly in my eye line on the row in front, and then wouldn’t sit still (such as playing with his hair and spiking it up so part of the screen was blocked off) , and I just couldn’t get into the film. I visit the gym first thing in the mornings too and the showers are filthy (grime, bits of fluff and body hair clearly not washed away). While some of the new equipment is good, some has not been properly designed so for example, some pulleys often render other equipment useless. Some of the benches also have loose screws. This topped off by a significant increase in student members who do not know how to put equipment away leads to the gym floor being left untidy for staff members who are lifeguards having to put things away. There are however some major issues that really let this gym down. 1) The cafe!! What on earth have they done? It’s up to £9.50 for a protein shake and £4 for a coffee. The old cafe and team were brilliant, however this is so bad we walk into town post gym to get a drink and a coffee. 2) Too many members. If I didn’t have the luxury of training in the morning I would not train at Virgin Active. Evenings it is RAMMED. I am sure I heard there are 7000 members now. When I worked there we had 4000 members. The few times I’ve been in the evening it is unbearable. 3) The women’s gym. Around 30% of the available floor space is taken up by a women’s only section. You could charge £40 a month just to use the women’s gym and people would pay it. It’s hugely discriminatory towards male members to allow the ladies 30% more space and equipment in an already massively overcrowded gym. They have the option of using 100% of the floor space, whereas we all pay the same price and yet the men are forced to train in a gym that’s technically two thirds the size.

I can 100 % relate to all the poor reviews written on here, incorrect calculations and very poor time management skills. Your marketing is great and on the outside you do seem very professional but in reality the issues i am highlighting and various other people is that your services are poor in addition to your time management skills. We were initially given plans that had many, many errors on them. Not one measurement was correct. And it hadn’t come close to meeting what we had asked for. The theatre royal is fabulous for plays and the concert hall for artists. On this occasion I went to see " Queen of the Night " A Whitney Houston tribute . The whole show was fantastic, she looked and sounded like Whitney , the band was top class and all engaged so well with the audience. Loved the show. As for the Concert Hall, great seating and views, fabulous acoustic, friendly helpful staff and very good pricing. Downsides, no bar and very poor toilet facilities, especially for women where the queue is huge. If they got those two things upgraded would easily be a 5 star venue.
