Shopping mall
Shopping
The Forum Kayseri Shopping Center is a bustling mall that features numerous popular chain stores selling fashion, electronics and other goods. Additionally, it boasts a food court where visitors can enjoy a variety of dining options and a movie theater for entertainment purposes. This shopping center offers an array of shopping and leisure activities all under one roof.
Within three weeks staying in Kayseri, I found here the largest shopping center over the city. Turkish people call it, AVM ( AlışVeriş Merkezi). Interestingly, the prices are affordable as well rather than other cities that i have visited. It is really a large center u can find whatever product and brands you want.
Bassir ع — Google review
A very nice shopping mall in the city center. It is a great relief from the heat during hot summer days.
Ahmed A — Google review
Forum Kayseri: A Comprehensive Shopping Destination Forum Kayseri undeniably stands as Kayseri's premier shopping mall. Its prime location in the heart of the city, coupled with its expansive size, makes it a convenient and attractive destination for locals and visitors alike. The mall houses a diverse range of both national and international brands, ensuring there's something to cater to every taste and budget. Fashion enthusiasts will find themselves spoilt for choice with stores like LC Waikiki, FLO, Boyner, and DeFacto, while the mall's other offerings extend to electronics, home goods, and more. A particular highlight is the mall's extensive food court. Offering a tantalizing array of both local and international cuisines, it's the perfect spot to refuel after a shopping spree or to enjoy a leisurely meal with friends and family. While Forum Kayseri undoubtedly excels in providing a comprehensive shopping experience, it's worth noting that the mall can become quite crowded during peak shopping hours. Nevertheless, its efficient layout and ample parking facilities help to mitigate any potential inconveniences. Overall, Forum Kayseri is a must-visit for anyone exploring Kayseri. Its combination of retail therapy, dining options, and convenient location make it a standout shopping destination in the city.

Ordu cable car

Mountain cable car
Transportation
Gondola ride to a forested peak with cafes & restaurants, plus views over the city & coastline.
When we went they take 400 TL per person, even the 3 years old one. It is about 12$ which is not cheap! We wait for 10 minutes to buy the ticket and 10 minutes to get in. But it was worth it
Sarah A — Google review
It’s good to go up with a cable car to Boztepe. You can see the black sea shore and also the Ordu city view. It’s really beautiful! The round way is 25TL, one way is 15TL for one Adult. You can see a really nice view from the cable car going up and down. Not much longer waiting time. 🙂
SoYa T — Google review
Total rip-off, the cost of a roundtrip ticket is 700 lira for foreigners, seriously? Sorry, but not worth it. Turkey really has to re-think their double standards and policies. After spending 1 month in the country as a tourist I can confim that prices for foreigners are out of control in general (often much higher than Western Europe) and this is extremely annoying and unfair. No wonder that tourism industry is going down.
Georgi M — Google review
Highly recommend it to see entire city of ORDU,TURKIYE from top of high mountain . Great feeling to have a coffee or tea from top snd get a bird eye view of the city
Mr S — Google review
Must do activity! Marvellous views! Cabine is for 6 people. The hill where you're gonna climb to (Boztepe) looks like a cute touristic walking zone with some souvenir shops and restaurants. Unfortunately bikes are NOT allowed to carry :( pleeease change that
Mili D — Google review
The area is great and is a must visit for the view and the stores at the end it is really nice , however the food isn't the best in black sea area for some reason and bathrooms aren't best either which is an unfortunate thing , however the place is good it has a mosque too (try avoiding public bathroom there) the park is nice too and has a great view
Duaa H — Google review
Just awesome 😎 wooow big wow for this telfrik it moves you from amazing city side to an amazing view up there with view of city and Black Sea half by half not to forget the cafes and super nice breeze which took you out of this world!
Rose L — Google review
Everybody must take it at least once. You would understand the city much more and see some graphiti walls you didn’t advice from the ground. Cabins are very clean and well maintained. You can easily go with baby stroller aa the cabin slows down to enter and exit. Top of the mountain is also a must in Ordu and a picture at the paraglider launch ramp.

Giresun Castle, a hilltop complex dating back to the 2nd century BC, offers a fascinating glimpse into history with its well-preserved ancient stone walls and intriguing architecture. The panoramic views from the top of the castle are truly breathtaking, showcasing sweeping vistas of Giresun city, the Black Sea, and the picturesque coastline. It's an ideal spot for capturing stunning photographs and immersing oneself in nature's beauty.
A must-visit place if you're ever in Giresun. Be prepared to take a lot of photos. Also, I highly recommend NOT to go during the summer time. The heat takes away from enjoying the park

This place has great views of the city. There is a nice restaurant and coffee house. It is,a quiet place to escape from the city.
Photo T — Google review
Very beautiful place with amazing views, it’s a very beautiful castle that’s located on a high hill that overlooks the city of Giresun, i highly recommend visiting this castle to enjoy the wonderful views from it.(The photos are from my trip back in October 2020)

Great view of the city, but not much else to do or see.
Dejan Z — Google review
This well-preserved castle offers a glimpse into the past, with its ancient stone walls and intriguing architecture. Exploring the castle grounds gives you a sense of the city's history and cultural heritage. One of the highlights of visiting Giresun Castle is the panoramic view it offers. From the top, you can marvel at the sweeping vistas of the city, the Black Sea, and the picturesque coastline. It's an ideal spot to capture stunning photographs and immerse yourself in the beauty of nature. There are nice cafes and restaurants in the area. You will also find number of picnic zones in Giresun castle. It's an ideal spot to relax, unwind, and enjoy a delightful outdoor meal with friends and family. The picturesque surroundings and fresh air make it a perfect setting for a memorable picnic experience. However, please note that parking space near the castle is limited. It's advisable to plan your visit accordingly or consider alternative transportation options to make your trip more convenient.
Ali G — Google review
Both mystical and epic place. Geat topography and that presents amazing views from surround there for both every season and day time however especially dawn and dusk times are my favorites. Actually, time lapse videos emerge this beauty very much.
Hayati T — Google review
The place is beautiful with stunning view at the cost and city. It wasn’t really a castle, just few standing walls, yet worth the visit. We had fries and meatloaf (kind of) and smoothies (milkshakes)… at the restaurant there and it was good with clean toilets. But the public toilets there were horrible.
Mariam A — Google review
It is a very nice place. There are coffeeshops and restaurants there. We haven't had any food therefore I don't know about the quality but the view is amazing.

Sümela Monastery

Mentioned on
1 list
Monastery
Sights & Landmarks
Sümela Monastery, located to the east of Trabzon, is a historic site with a museum showcasing religious history dating back to the 4th century A.D. The monastery, situated high up in the mountains, offers breathtaking views and a unique landscape. While entrance fees for foreigners have been criticized as being unreasonably high, the site's well-preserved frescos, old library rooms, and prayer rooms make it a must-visit attraction.
Finally got the chance to visit this stunning historical place. The place attracts so many tourists so get ready for a really busy area. You cannot enter with your car, but only with the shuttle managed by the site itself. The ticket price is 70 Turkish lira per person. Once you reach there you have to get ready for a long stairs to reach the ticket office. Definitely I will not recommend it for elder people or people with low fitness and children under eight years. It is located in the mountain with an elevation of more than 1000 m. Breathtaking views during the journey to the monastery. Classified as one of the most important historic venues in Trabzon.
N A — Google review
I highly recommend visiting Sümela Monastery — it’s one of the most impressive historical places in the Black Sea region. The entrance ticket to the monastery itself is 20€, and it’s absolutely worth it. There is a long staircase to reach the top, so be prepared for some climbing, but once you arrive, the view is breathtaking. The monastery is built inside a cliff, and the atmosphere is magical — you can take amazing photos of the nature, the fog, and the mountains surrounding the site. If you love history, architecture, and dramatic landscapes, this place is a must-see. Totally worth the effort and the time! 🌿
Sumaya A — Google review
Amazing place so glad to finally make it here! The weather wasn't good but it thinned out the crowds which we appreciated. Unbelievable story and impressive building skills in such a remote place. The surrounding Park is beautiful as well. The only negative impression is pay to park then pay to use the restroom then pay to enter the monastery. 1 price please.
Robert Q — Google review
Remarkable achievement—best appreciated from multiple viewpoints Sumela Monastery is genuinely impressive, particularly when you consider the engineering feat of building such comprehensive quarters into a cliff face centuries ago. The scale and ambition of the construction is what really stands out. What Makes It Special: - The real beauty is in viewing it from a distance—seeing the whole structure clinging to the mountainside puts the achievement in perspective - Inside, peer out from the windows in the quarters—the views and sense of exposure are striking - Don't skip the detour to Aya Varvara Kilisesi nearby—it offers an awesome distant view of the monastery and is just 70m at the entrance Practical Tips: - Lots of stairs and uneven surfaces—watch your footing and take it slow - The site itself requires careful navigation; not a place to rush through - The combination of close-up exploration and distant viewpoints gives you the full picture Why 5 Stars: Understanding what it took to build and maintain this place centuries ago, in this location, makes the visit worthwhile. The engineering and logistics alone are mind-boggling. See it from afar, explore it up close, then step back again—that's when it clicks. Well worth the trip to the Trabzon.
Jun S — Google review
Beautiful monastery, built in 4th century. No amount of words can explain the beauty of the location and the detailed workmanship that went into building this place. The walk to monastery is short but steep, however the views along the way are worth the effort. It's definitely a great place to visit. It does get crowded pretty quickly as large groups visit it
Haaris A — Google review
That experience was a life time experience. I had seen photos before, but it was a hidden gem. When you climb all the stairs to see a monks city, very well preserved was very exciting. Highly recommended experience. My favorite part was to see the church, but very sad to see the murals were destroyed by the first visitors. Seeing all the priest rooms, the kitchen, the library made me to understand the life style of the monks that lived there for many years. The monastery is placed in an amazing nature that takes your breath away.
Selin G — Google review
Magic place in the mountains! As we climbed up the mystic music was echoing from hill to hill. I am posting some photos. The monastery has a special energy and well preserved history of the early Christianity. At the bottom – Altun River (The golden River, which still has some gold.) One of the most mysterious places I have visited! Go see the magic!
Hristina K — Google review
Such a beautiful place, beautiful views, the ancient mosaic is mesmerising. You have to walk a bit before you see the mosaic, the forest during the walk is nice. We had museum cards, so it was even easier for us to enter.

Atatürk Pavilion, located in Trabzon City, is a stately former home of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the prominent figure instrumental in the formation of the Republic of Turkey. This three-story nineteenth-century home offers visitors a personal look into Ataturk's life through its well-preserved interiors and lush gardens. The pavilion sits on a hillside, providing stunning views of the city from its balconies.
The visit to Atatürk Pavilion was a relaxing and enjoyable experience. The place is surrounded by a beautiful and spacious garden, perfect for a peaceful walk. The pavilion itself offers a glimpse into the lifestyle of Atatürk’s era, with well-preserved furniture and interior decor from that time. It’s a short but interesting visit, especially for those who appreciate history and architecture. The entrance fee was 75 lira per person.

A very well preserved mansion that belonged to a Greek (Ottoman back then) banker and used as his summer house. After the population exchange in 1923 he was forced to leave behind his properties (as did thousands of other Greeks) and return back to Greece. The property was gifted to Ataturk 1 year later by the people of Trabzon as he visited it and liked it a lot. The mansion itself is very beautiful and a sign of prosperity of the people back then. Both the interior and exterior are absolutely beautiful and worth visiting if you want to get a glimpse of how rich people lived back then. You can pay by card at the entrance.
ELENI D — Google review
The Atatürk Pavilion in Trabzon is a charming historic mansion surrounded by peaceful gardens and pine trees. It offers a glimpse into early 20th-century architecture and the life of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who stayed there during his visits. The interior is beautifully preserved, with elegant furniture and personal items, including the room where Atatürk signed his will. A visit here is both relaxing and meaningful — perfect for history lovers and anyone looking to connect with Turkey’s past.

It used to be a museum in the past but now it has reverted to being a mosque. The building is amazing and the Byzantine paintings inside, on the walls and ceiling will leave awestruck. The surroundings are also great, with wonderful views of the sea and very nice gardens to stroll around. There is also a lighthouse and some tombstones in the garden. You should get a guide or a local if you want to learn something about the history of the place.

Abdullah A — Google review
Hagia Sophia Trabzon, a prominent temple both among the monuments of Pontus and among the Byzantine monuments in general, owes its importance to its connection with a variety of historical and archaeological parameters. First of all, it is a monument clearly linked, since its inception, to the local imperial dynasty of the Great Komnenoi. At the same time, the way in which the elements of its architectural design, painting, mosaic and sculptural decoration are combined could be described as unusual and perhaps unique. This uniqueness lies mainly in the coexistence of motile influences, which sometimes refer to the West (in relation to the particular geographical area) and sometimes to the East. Built outside the walls of Trabzon, but within walking distance, the Church of Hagia Sophia - a complex cruciform with a dome, narthex and three impressive propylons - forms the center of a larger fortified building complex. It is flanked by a chapel tower, as well as remnants of a smaller church and other buildings, most probably a monastery. Philological sources of the 14th century mention the monastery "of the Word of God Wisdom", but also "the monastery of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Sophian". In addition, its burial function is strikingly evident and dominant in the shaping of the monument's identity, presumed by the funerary niches and tombstone inscriptions hosted in the temple. However, the function of the church as a cemetery seems to be included in the objectives of imperial sponsorship when it was founded either by Manuel I the Great Komninos (1238-1263) or by his immediate descendants.

Uzungöl

Mentioned on
4 lists
Lake
Nature & Parks
Bodies of Water
Uzungöl is a stunning lake nestled in a mountain valley, featuring a charming village with hotels and shops. It's easily accessible from Trabzon, taking around 2.5 hours by car. While it's not recommended to visit during winter due to accessibility issues and many closed shops, the summer offers breathtaking views and pleasant weather. Visitors suggest booking accommodations in advance and bringing supplies from outside the area as things can be expensive with limited services.
It’s a beautiful place, but only for a short visit. I don’t recommend eating in the area—the quality is poor and the prices are extremely high. It’s worth visiting just for the experience; it feels like being in an Arab country.
Mariya — Google review
Uzungol lake is very pretty, surrounded by many halal restaurants and hotels to stay in. You even go glamping around, do some hikes in the area or take a long drive around. There are many picnic places on the way so you can stop on your way and enjoy a little picnic
Shiza S — Google review
Uzungöl is a priceless natural wonder located in the heart of the Black Sea region, about 100 km away from Trabzon, in the district of Çaykara. Nestled in a valley where you can see every shade of green, surrounded by high mountains, the lake looks like a painting. On misty mornings, a light fog drifts over the lake, and as the day breaks it transforms into pure tranquility — truly the capital of peace and serenity. The lake is surrounded by lush forests, and the walking paths around it are both easy and scenic, perfect for nature lovers. The little wooden houses, local restaurants, and shops create a warm, village-like atmosphere within this natural setting. In short, it’s an ideal spot to escape the city and breathe fresh air. However, like a shadow over its beauty, there’s also the issue of “concrete development.” In 2008, a concrete wall was built along the shore, which some environmentalists criticize as a disruption of its natural charm. This has also contributed to the problem of “overtourism.” New buildings and touristic facilities risk damaging the organic character of the place, and unfortunately, this can affect the visitor experience. Still, despite these small criticisms, what makes Uzungöl special is the authentic experience it offers with its nature, silence, and local character. In summer, it’s ideal for picnics and walks; in winter, covered in snow, it turns into a magical landscape. Nearby, you can also visit Sultan Murad Plateau, Ataköy Waterfall, and Demirkapı Plateau, which add even more richness to your trip. In conclusion, Uzungöl is impressive both in photographs and in real life. It’s a place where you can connect with the peaceful face of nature and lose yourself in its pure beauty. I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone. But it’s also important that we all take responsibility, even in small ways, to protect the sustainability of this unique area.
Maksut C — Google review
Uzungöl Lake is absolutely stunning — surrounded by lush green mountains with mist often drifting over the water, creating a magical atmosphere. Perfect for photos, peaceful walks, and relaxing in nature. Cafés and small restaurants around add charm, but it can get crowded during peak season. A must-visit in Trabzon!
Amr W — Google review
Uzungöl is one of the most beautiful places I’ve visited in Turkey. The lake surrounded by high mountains and green forests feels like a completely different world. The air is fresh, the nature is peaceful, and the scenery is simply breathtaking. In the early morning, the mist over the lake creates a magical atmosphere that’s hard to describe in words. There are many nice walking paths, photo spots, and cozy places to enjoy traditional tea by the lake. There are plenty of restaurants around and the prices are reasonable. It’s perfect for a romantic getaway, a family trip, or even solo travel. If you’re in Trabzon or anywhere in the Black Sea region, Uzungöl is definitely a place you must visit! 🌿✨

08/08/2025 This place is one of the most beautiful places I've visited in my whole life. I went there in August and the weather was perfect. Make sure to wear something warm. Ask your driver to take you to the waterfall on your way there. When you get to the lake you can rent a bike for 10 lira/hour, or you can ride a boat for approximately 50 lira/20 minuets, and there is the parachute too, but it's expensive if you're with a big group (500 lira per person). I highly recommend going there especially if you're with your friends and have no babies.

I had my doubts about Uzungöl being worth the hype, but once I got there, I realized it absolutely deserves its great reputation!

This natural wonder cascades nearly 100 meters and is particularly spectacular during the spring months when water flow peaks. Cool setting and nice hike to the waterfall! It takes about 20 minutes (uphill), you can then swim underneath the waterfall. You should wear good shoes!

Amazing waterfall views from the 2nd floor bunglow style house. Sleeping with the water and nature sounds felt so peaceful and amazing. Two bedrooms and a toilet/shower with balcony to enjoy drinks watching the river and the waterfall. We walked up to the top of the mountain where there is a small teashop ,totally worth the climb to enjoy the amazing views. There is a car park outside the hotel, owners were available 24/7 very friendly and helpful local people, beds were comfy, rooms sparkling clean, shower with hot and cold water , nearby vadi restaurant served homemade fresh local food. Overall this was such a great experience worth coming back for sure. If you love nature and want a peaceful retreat, look no further.

One of the most beautiful waterfalls of Turkey with a dropping height of almost 100 meters. Water volume is at its peak during April, May although it is remarkable even in dry summer. Could reach after a walk of about 750 meters from where you park your vehicle at Kamilet Valley. Don't forget to have a bath in its small pool just under the falls and enjoy the real piping blodred Blacksea tea before and after your climb to Mençuna. Must see place if you are in the region. Don't miss it...

The place is understaffed. No electricity in the morning therefore no internet and no warm water. The host is rude. The room they gave us was a small cabin next to kitchen which was loud all night and so small that toilet is 1 meter away from bed. Best would be to stay in arahvi and visit the area as a day trip. This place is not worth the money.

The Batumi Dolphinarium is a popular marine animal park in Batumi, known for its regular dolphin shows and swim-with-dolphin experiences. It's a perfect spot for families looking for fun activities with children. The dolphinarium offers captivating and acrobatic shows performed by highly trained dolphins, as well as entertaining seal shows. Visitors can also enjoy the special experience of swimming with dolphins and taking close photos with these amazing animals.
Really great show, the trainers treat the dolphins like their own children, very affectionate. The dolphins are absolutely incredible! Don't let the rudeness of the security staff discourage you, they aren't who you are paying to see 😊

First of all, a big thank you to all the dolphin trainers for their beautiful spirit. The best experience is to buy tickets through the website. It's very easy and gives you the opportunity to buy the first seats. I wish the interaction with the audience was a little more. It's a good experience for the family, especially for children.

We were late by around like 10 minutes from the time of the show but it was right when the show started, we came for out baby who at the time was around 5 months old and she seemed to enjoy the show , even for us the adults it was very entertaining, there were about 10 or so dolphins from small to huge ones they splashed water danced played with objects it was a blast, The place was completely full and it was a week day which is surprising. Great show would come again.

Very talented dolphins with skilled and loving trainers with their trainees. Lot of acrobatic show ( with balls, circles) even with georgian dolphin dancing.😱 Take seriously and avoid splashing zone. Highly recommended.

If you are in Batumi, this place and show is must watch for you and your kids. Yours kids would love the show. The tickets can be bought online. I recommend you not to buy the front seats in the middle portion of the dolphinarium as dolphins splash water on the viewers as an act to cheer people up. In this act your clothes will entirely get wet. The acts of dolphins are excellent and well choreographed. I would recommend you to surely pay a vist to this place.

Batumi Dolphinarium is a fun and entertaining place to visit, not just for kids but for adults as well. The dolphin show is very well organized, with smart and talented dolphins performing amazing tricks. Batumi Boulevard Park is one of the most beautiful parks in the city, stretching along the Black Sea coast. Originally established in 1881, it features palm trees, sculptures, bike paths, cafes, and plenty of spots to relax — making it a favorite among both locals and visitors. Personally, I really enjoy spending time here, especially in the evenings. The musical fountain show adds a special charm and makes the atmosphere even more enjoyable. It's a perfect place for a peaceful walk, watching the sunset, or simply unwinding by the sea.

Argo Cable Car

Points of Interest & Landmarks
The Argo Cable Car, also known as the Batumi cable car, is a popular tourist attraction in Batumi. It takes visitors to the top of Mount Anuria, offering breathtaking views of the city and the Black Sea. The cable car journey covers a distance of 2.5km and reaches a height of 250 meters. At the mountain's summit, there is a cafe and a square where visitors can admire panoramic scenes of Batumi and the picturesque Black Sea.
We went on a rainy day and it was still great! Beat the crowds and got some nice photos. Very easy to buy tickets. If there is a long line at the counter you can buy tickets online. All cable cars in Georgia have been really nice and worth checking out.
Sarah G — Google review
The Argo Cable Car provides a lovely journey, but I highly recommend planning your visit around sunset to get the best experience. If you go during the middle of the daytime, the view from the top is pleasant but not spectacular. However, if you wait until nighttime, you'll only see the beautiful city lights, and you will completely miss out on the gorgeous photo spots at the peak which require daylight. The best time to go is definitely just before sunset. This allows you to catch the golden hour views, take great photos at the top, and then stay long enough to watch the city transition into a sparkling blanket of lights as darkness falls. A quick note on the other two package tickets/add-ons they offer: as an adult, I did not find them worthwhile or special. I recommend sticking to the standard cable car ticket.
Iqram A — Google review
Definitely worth visiting! The views are amazing, and the price is very reasonable. Sunset is the peak time, so the lines can get a bit long, but they move quite quickly. Overall, a great experience and highly recommended.
Austeja M — Google review
The price vs value wasn't there for this cable car compared to others we rode in Georgia, at USD$12.30/pp particularly considering that the view wasn't clear. If the air is really hazy, the view from the top isn't good. The ride is fast and smooth. The bottom operator guy would not let us wait for a car to ride alone (and there was nobody else behind us.) It worked out for us in the end as a hat was left behind in the cable car and one of the other passengers gave it to the top operator guy. When the other people saw us they communicated that it was there. And the hat was very much needed that day! There are clean bathrooms up top, as well as a souvenir shop and a cafe/restaurant and an ice cream stand. We didn't eat up top, so nothing to review on that. The tiny chapel was peaceful, and there was a great breeze just outside the chapel (on the right) by the edge of the trees. Security scolded and stopped multiple tourists sitting on the edge of the circular fountain that looks like a sailboat. There is a swing for photos that was tied (to not move much) that had a net to catch anyone who fell off so they didn't fall down the face of the hill. It was below "ok" in my opinion, and overpriced for the view.
Just M — Google review
The cable car ride was very different. Instead of hoovering over the trees and mountains, this ride is mostly on the city with great views of the port on one side and the mountain on the other. The weather was overcast during our ride, so we enjoyed a lot. Once you reach the top, there are some restaurants, gaming arcade (tickets to be bought at the ground counter). There was also a stand for Minimelts that the kids enjoyed a lot especially their new kiwi flavor. Overall, it was a great experience.
Osayed R — Google review
Though a somewhat pricey activity, the cable car is a fun way to see the city, and the views from the hill are unmatched. On a clear day, you can even see the snow capped peaks of distant mountains, and of course, all of Batumi is visible from up there.
Matthew U — Google review
This is a must when in Batumi.! The cable car costs around 32 lari would take you on a 10 minute journey to the top of a mountain where you will have a breathtaking view awaiting you.! I recommend to go just before sunset so you get to see the city at its best. There’s also a museum, restaurant and a live show at the top so you can spend a nice evening here.!

As you ascend, you’re treated to stunning panoramic views of the vibrant cityscape, the serene Black Sea, and the majestic surrounding mountains. The ride is smooth and peaceful, offering a unique perspective of Batumi’s charm from above. At the top, you’ll find a viewing platform perfect for photos, a café to relax in, and even a small chapel. Batumi Botanical Garden, established in 1912, is a vast expanse of greenery that offers guided tours showcasing its diverse subtropical plant collections. With over 5,000 varieties of flora from around the globe, it boasts an impressive array of Asian trees, South American flowers, bamboo forests, evergreen gardens and titanium trees. Nestled within the beautiful Mtsvane Kontskhi area, visitors can bask in the sun or take a refreshing swim.
It's a beautiful garden. It's better to go early in the morning. It will be harder to leave. You can walk for hours and admire the beauty of Japanese trees. There are a lot of people and Arabs. Only 1 cafe with huge prices. Take food with you. There is an exit to the beach. The beach is great but there are no changing rooms and toilets. The toilets in the garden are terrible.
Artem P — Google review
Incredible botanical garden. You could spend an afternoon exploring it. Well worth the time and money. Well kept, clean, and beautiful. Very large. Expect to use the bus service within the park. There is also a fee to enter the park and a separate fee for the bus service within the park. Costs more for foreigners, of course (one of the worst parts of Georgia is the foreigner fee in so many places).
Tom G — Google review
A wonderful place to walk in the lap of nature. Tickets are priced at 20 GEL, which is a little steep. And if you need an electric vehicle inside, you'll have to end up paying even more. Plenty of photo spots along with some great views of the Black Sea. There's also an amazing zipline for those seeking a little adrenaline rush, but again it's a little pricey at 70 GEL. Be prepared to walk a lot, so wear comfortable shoes.
Puneet B — Google review
We visited the garden in October. The view is very beautiful and the air is fresh with green and flowers smell. We went by bus 10. It is hard to go through all the garden as it has different elevations which make it difficult. Also, there are electrical cars too.
Ghada E — Google review
Amazing park with beautiful sea views♥️ There is an electrical bus that can take you one way through the park with an extra fee of 10 gel, takes like 15 minutes ride Pay attention that most of the park has uphill paths, we are with a baby stroller so it was a bit challenging so we took the bus and then it was nice

It was so beautiful that I enjoyed all of the moments there. I spent 4 hours day. Definitely it’s better to go from morning to. All of the view were breathtaking. The weather was also nice.

A stunningly beautiful botanic garden with collections of plants and trees from all over the world. With views along the coastline, rolling hills covered in lush vegetation and plenty of places to sit and relax in the shade, it's the perfect place to get away from the bustle of the beaches.
Simon T — Google review
Honestly, I’m not a garden person, I usually prefer adventure and thrill over long walks and greenery. Most tour guides in Batumi don’t include the Botanical Garden, but we decided to visit anyway… and I’m glad we did! Yes, there’s a lot of walking (be ready for it!), but once you reach the top, the views are absolutely worth it — stunning landscapes and a gorgeous view of the Black Sea. 🌊🌿 My main reason for visiting, though, was the zipline....and oh my god, it was amazing! Totally thrilling, 70 Lari, and worth every step it takes to get there. You’ll feel like you’re flying over nature. So if you’re into adrenaline or just want some jaw-dropping scenery, this spot is a must. I went there just for the zipline, but ended up appreciating the whole place.

Skypark is an exhilarating mountaintop amusement park in Sochi, offering a variety of thrilling activities such as bungee jumping, zip lines, and a pedestrian suspension bridge. It provides an extreme experience for visitors with options like a 70-meter and 200-meter bungee jump, as well as the heart-pounding Omega ride at a height of 200 meters. Families can also enjoy this exciting destination together, with children up to age 7 granted free entry.
Great place to bring your adrenaline. Enjoy the metal hanging bridge that can hold 1,800 persons at the same time standing on it.
Farouq A — Google review
An amazing place. Lot to do there. Yes, you will spend some cash there. For example bungee jumping will cost almost $200 other active will cost much less. Two issues first if you are over 120 KG (264 LBS) you can't do ANYTHING there, so but that in mind before visiting. Second it's a long drive to there almost 80 minutes. But overall it worth a visit.
Tareq A — Google review
Very fun and beautiful attraction. FYI: you pay to enter AND you pay to do any activity. Was worth it in my opinion.
Lauren M — Google review
Absolutely my favorite place at Sochi, totally extreme experience, There are a number of interactions: Benji jump of 70 meters, and 200 meters. Also there is a crazy Omega 500 meters at a height of 200 meters, a great experience for the whole family, children up to age 7 enter for free. Entrance tickets to an inexpensive place, but the prices for attractions are a bit expensive compared to other places in the world the same experiences. The place is clean, there is a convenience store, the place is maintained very nicely. The staff is young and nice, but do not mess with the security of the place, they have no patience for people who are not disciplined.
SIMON D — Google review
Great place for those who like strong experiences. A bit extreme, but quite firmly built, one could really feel secured here. Except walking by the suspension bridge you can try bungee-jumping, zip line or swing
Dmitry K — Google review
Spectacular views, friendly staff, spacious parking, but most importantly - amazing attractions for all levels of adrenaline addiction/aversion. One can start with just crossing the Sky Bridge to warm up, then go back by ZipLine, which is the least scary attraction, and then progress as far as guts allow.
Stepan K — Google review
A long bridge with a beautiful view. They have several extreme options and we did the megatroll, zipline and "sky 1" trail. The "sky 1" was really easy and was quite a let down for us. But, everything else was amazing
Yuval D — Google review
Ah the Skypark! What a mind boggling place! The moment you step on the brigde, either your legs are gonna tremble or you'd just want to jump in and run on the brigde (not recommended). Remember that it's a suspension bridge and it can get shaky when wind blows. This is normal and there's no need to be scared as the bridge is highly secure. The ticket price for just seeing the bridge is 1250 rubles. I got a discount for showing my student ID card and I got in for 1000 rubles. There are plenty activities to do there such as bungy jumping, zip lining and many more. It's just that they start from 6000 rubles and go up to 10-12000 rubles. They have some combos for that which will be cheaper for you incase you wanna go for multiple activities. Do remember to take a lot of money.

Outdoor Activities
Ureki Beach, located in the city of Ureki, Georgia, is a bustling beach known for its shore of black sand believed to have healing and magnetic properties. The beach offers clear water and is usually crowded but still has space for visitors to relax. Lifeguards are present, and activities such as jet ski rentals and inflatable tubes are available. While the beach has various food options and shops, some reviewers note that it can get quite dirty during the summer months.
Beautiful beach with magnetic sand. Ppl say it can help with some health problems, perhaps even with mental. The big advantage is that it is not rocky, so very comfortable for a walk. Plus it has quite flat bottom which is nice for kids or the ppl who can’t swim.
Egor S — Google review
Wide beach, the water is not clean because the depth is 30-40 cm. Maybe the nice place for the body board but there were no waves. There are safeguards and police, so I think it is safety place. Wonderful place for the kids (up to 7 years old).
Zender F — Google review
One of the best beaches's spots in Georgia. Specially during the sunset. It's really beautifull and calm

nice beach but in summer has to be overcrowded. black sand from magnetite partciles, you can rent bike or electric scooter here
George V — Google review
This magnetic black sand is sooo good! But I have never seen such dirty water ever. Plastic bags, chips and other packs, plastic bottles. It’s like swimming in a garbage bin. I cannot understand why such a beautiful place is such highly polluted.
Sviridenko K — Google review
Really pleasing, black sand, supposedly good for joints. Very dirty beach. A lot of cigarette's butts and overal litter. In the summer months a crowd of mobile sellers offering many kinds of food.

A place that a tourist should visit in Abkhazia. If you love geology and discover how the nature can surprise you, this is the right place. The tour lasts around 40/45 minutes. Remember to bring a jacket because also in summer the temperature is around 10°/12°

Best ski resort in Sochi for beginners and families. Had a great time here. Nice, wide slopes with beautiful views. Not too crowded because the slopes disperse away from the main area rather than to it. Great vibe with nice music and large, inviting central rental/information area. Helpful and friendly staff. Lots of places to sit and nice variety of cafes and restaurants.
Dennis R — Google review
Very nice for beginners! Slopes are quite wide and not too flat to get bored, the view is beautiful. However, if you are advanced, it will definitely feel too easy here. I personally just loved the night-skiing - you can ski until 11pm! Slopes are nicely lightened and everything looks so atmospheric 💫 Organization is still to be somewhat improved - queues in front of the lifts are usual thing and can take quite long!
Marius S — Google review
Loved it! Great service, not crowded, all sorts of activities available. I believe it's the only place in this resort to practice cross-country skiing!
Olga S — Google review
Super complex. We went ice-skating (great) in Galactica followed by swimming in the Aquapark (the outdoor pool in the snow is something else). We then finished the day with night skiing under lights. Nice, easy and wide slopes, (D1 was a nice blue for novices) plus some more challenging pistes for the more advanced. Thank you, we had a great time!

Erna R — Google review
Just horrible to say the least. The lowest lever of service remained the same from "soviet era", you are supposed to be guilty for clumsy skiing maneuvres however there is NO snow coverage in Gazprom ski resort. Rude comments from the staff, some disrepectful remarks - those are the memories I'm gonna bring from this trip. Rip-off in terms of prices: 2000 RUB -ski pass for 1 day, 500 RUB parking fee ( for 1 hour), 200 RUB 1 hour for the storage of the staff in a locker, very high prices in restorants, 9000 RUB for 2 adults - 2 hour training with an instructor. That's not even worth it, there is no snow by 5th of January

Great ski resort even if you stay down mountain. Suitable kid/newbie hills and plenty of other hills too!

If you are lucky to go there on a sunny day in January, it will give a vibe of Himalayan. The temperature is comparatively low in altitude. So dress up yourself properly. The cable car experience is excellent. To do ski you have to reach there before 10:00am.
Imtiaz T — Google review
Very cool ski resort, well organized with day and night ski!!!! Sleds open almost 24 7. The only downside is that the nightlife is very limited, to say the truth had no power to get out after full day of ski.
Alex P — Google review
Great place. A must visit if you are touring Russia. We were here in April. But March is better if you want to ski.
Ayesha M — Google review
Generally feels like they could have done better with the resort... Some runs are fantastic, not too long but fun. Most of the other slopes are long and narrow, which is less fun. Lifts are OK but the Russians should learn more about queue management. We had two times where we waited 20-25 minutes, other waits were long too. If the site is crowded then you feel it well on the slopes. The good :excellent site for beginners, the area between slopes is very nice for the powder seekers. Bottom line - not the same as the alps but a nice alternative nevertheless.

My mother told me that it is a beautiful place…. Well only Russian tourists are able to see it. What a shame….
Nani R — Google review
In ancient times there was a valley and a river at the site of the modern lake. A girl named Ritsa lived there with three brothers Agepsta, Atsetuka and Pshegishkha. Ritsa used to pasture her animals in the valley and her brothers hunted in the high mountains by day and returned to the valley in the evening, where they ate, sang songs, and admired their sister. Once the brothers went too far into the mountains. Ritsa missed them and sang. The forest robbers Gega and Iupshara heard her and decided to kidnap her. Iupshara caught her and rode down the valley, while Gega covered his flank. Ritsa's brothers heard her crying and came to the rescue. Pshegishkha threw a sword at the robbers, but he missed and the sword flew over the river. The valley was filled with water and turned into a lake. Ritsa broke from Iupshara's grip, but fell into the lake. The brothers couldn't save her. Then Pshegishkha threw the robber Iupshara into the lake, but Ritsa's water wouldn't accept him and threw out him over Pshegishkha's sword and the water carried him away to the sea. Gega ran after Iupshara, but he didn't manage to rescue him. Out of grief, the brothers turned into mountains, and today they are still standing here to protect the resting-place of Ritsa.

Martvili Canyon, located in the Samegrelo region of Georgia, is a popular destination despite its remote location. The canyon features emerald green mossy trees, towering 70-meter high rock walls, cascading waterfalls, and turquoise-blue natural pools. Visitors can take a boat ride to experience the stunning views of the canyon or swim in the fresh clear waters near a huge waterfall.
This is a place where you can admire an amazing masterpiece of nature. You can walk along the well-maintained paths along the canyon's banks - 800-900 meters (price 20 GEL per person). You can also enter the depths of the canyon by inflatable boats and view the other side of the canyon from the river 350 meters (price 20 GEL per person). Lovers of extreme sensations can travel by zipline and look at the canyon from above (price 70 GEL per person).
Giorgi G — Google review
We started the day at Martvili Canyon a beautiful place, very scenic, but quite touristy compared to other spots we’ve visited in Georgia. On the way in, there are “parking helpers” trying to wave you into lots before the entrance. Tip: smile, say thank you, and keep driving all the way down to the main entrance it’s much more convenient. We took the rubber boat ride, which was lovely but very short. Entrance fee is 20 GEL for adults, free for kids under 6, and 20 GEL for children aged 6 and above. The views are definitely worth seeing once, but the overall experience felt a bit too commercialized and crowded for our taste.
Ron N — Google review
It was among the best places I visited in my Georgia trip. We went there in the end of August month and found the place very soothing and rich. You can click some really nice photographs and can also enjoy boat ride and zipline activities. We booked a day tour and visited this amazing place. You can buy the visits on your arrival itself.
Kalpit J — Google review
Stunning place, canyons, serene water flow and the boat ride in this. You will witness waterfalls as well and then you can head towards taking boat ride through the canyons. Water, green lush, mountains all peaceful. Tickets - 20GEL for entry, 20Gel for boat per person
Sumit G — Google review
Definitely worth visiting. Don't stop in the parking areas on top, even if you are asked to, go down the slope. Options include zipline, walking in the canyon path, kayak ride (10mn). Prices: Adults 40 gel for the canyon and kayak (32 gel with georgian ID), kids 25 gel. The area is very well preserved.
Hisham W — Google review
An amazingly beautiful place, worth a visit. A piece of paradise. There is a short route, most of which is in the shade, where you can watch beautiful waterfalls and birds chirping. There is also a quiet and peaceful rubber boat ride for about half an hour there and back, where you can enjoy the beauty, peace and tranquility of the place. It was worth driving all the way here.
Shirley C — Google review
Martvili Canyon, located in Georgia’s Samegrelo region, is one of the most beautiful natural spots in the area. Known for its turquoise waters, waterfalls, and lush greenery, it’s definitely worth seeing, even if the visit itself is relatively short — around 20 minutes for the main view. Swimming is not allowed here, despite some misleading assumptions, and unfortunately, it’s hard to get clear directions from locals. Many will try to sell jeep rides for around 160 GEL to reach other spots, which I found overpriced. We skipped the nearby waterfall for this reason. English is not widely spoken, and some staff at the ticket office can be quite rude — when asked if they spoke English, one replied “only Georgian” in an unwelcoming manner. Ticket options combine activities such as a boat tour + canyon visit, or boat + canyon + zipline. A ticket for only the entrance isn’t really worth it — the boat tour is what makes the experience memorable. There can be a bit of waiting time for the boats, but once on the water, the canyon’s scenery is beautiful. That said, the place gets very crowded, and the noise from visitors can sometimes overshadow the sounds of nature. Still, it’s a scenic spot and, despite the downsides, I would recommend experiencing it at least once.
Birsen Y — Google review
We went around 5pm on a Friday and it was not too busy, by the time we left there was almost nobody. The canyon is small but beautiful. The boat ride at the end is worth it for a cool vantage point. Good stop for an hour and a half.

Dombay is a wonderful destination for a family vacation. My son and I had a great time enjoying the picturesque mountain landscapes and various activities. We especially loved the cable car rides and sledding. Additionally, we took numerous photos with animals, which was a delightful addition to our trip. The fresh mountain air, combined with breathtaking views, made our experience even more enjoyable. For families with children, Dombay offers many interesting spots. We recommend visiting the Teberda Nature Reserve, where you can see a variety of animals and birds. It’s also worth visiting the Alibek Waterfall — the path to it is easy and suitable for children. In the village, there are several playgrounds and entertainment centers where your kids can have fun. Horseback riding is another great activity that allows you to explore the beautiful surroundings. You can also try snow tubing, which is an exciting and safe option for all ages. The locals are very hospitable and always ready to help. Cafes and restaurants offer delicious Caucasian cuisine that will appeal to both adults and children. We particularly enjoyed the freshly baked khachapuri, grilled meat, and aromatic herbal tea. The atmosphere in Dombay is warm and welcoming, making it a perfect place to relax and unwind. If you’re planning a trip to this region, be sure to visit Dombay. This place will leave unforgettable impressions for the whole family. Whether you love adventure, nature, or simply want to escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, Dombay has something special for everyone.

Dombai offers breathtaking views, fresh mountain air, and a true winter wonderland experience. The slopes are great for intermediate skiers, and the surrounding nature is simply magical - perfect for both skiing and scenic walks. The infrastructure isn’t as modern as in Europe, but that’s part of its charm. Lifts can be a bit outdated and queues are common during peak season, but the incredible beauty of the place more than makes up for it.

January 2021. Not a lot of snow to ski, but this is not due to the service. The old lift is simply awful, slow and non convenient, and mostly, dangerous. The new one is ok, but definitely over crowded. To rent the skies is not hard, full of small places, missing an organized big one. 3 stars are only for the mountains, which are very beautiful. The rest, I suggest: with the same money, you can fly to Italy or France or Austria.
