Prokopi Restaurant is situated in a fantastic location offering a magnificent panorama. The establishment boasts an impressive interior design, which is both aesthetically pleasing and well-maintained. The staff members are exceptionally friendly and hospitable, always ensuring that customers feel at ease and satisfied. The cuisine served at Prokopi Restaurant is not only scrumptious but also perfectly portioned, guaranteeing customer satisfaction.
Recently had the pleasure of dining at Prokopi. The experience was great, very good dishes with a beautiful view. Upon arrival, I was immediately struck by the panoramic view that Prokopi offers. It is a pleasure to dine with such a view ! As a meat lover, there were lot of choices. There were a wide range of meat dishes, each accompanied with a delicious sauces. We were not disapointed. The meat was tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The service was impeccable. The staff were really nice and polite, with very good looking gentleman. Prokopi is a must-visit !! Definitely recommand 😁 !!

We loved this place—the location and view were incredible. Special thanks to Öznur, who was very friendly and made us feel warmly welcomed. We enjoyed the food, wine, and the view from their terrace. Definitely recommend!

I like what I ordered, but I thought the portion of the cold mushroom salad was small. The hummus seemed pretty standard. I was both pleased and disappointed that they didn’t bring me bread😂 After I had given my food order, a woman came up and asked about my beverage order. I shook my head. She said still water? Is that in a bottle I asked? Because I will level with you, I don’t like paying for water. It’s my treat, she said. She was well-intentioned, but forgot to follow through I think the main reason to go there is for the view They add 10% for tip so I paid 660, about $16 US. I feel like my value was more in the $12 range

Good food and services, stunning view. It’s our best meal we have had in Turkey so far. The restaurant has a large parking lot. We missed the center of Urgup because parking problems and driving in the center at lunch time were crazy. We’re lucky to fall in this lovely restaurant.

I recently dined at your restaurant and had an exceptional experience, all thanks to Esra. Her warm and attentive assistance made me feel incredibly welcome from the moment I arrived. Whether it was offering thoughtful recommendations or ensuring my needs were met promptly, her kindness truly elevated my meal. I left with a wonderful impression

Ancient Ruins
Mazi Underground City is a well-preserved underground city that offers an intriguing glimpse into ancient life. Visitors can explore the tunnels, living spaces, church, stone doors, water well, communication holes, bedrooms, baths, and kitchens. The site is reminiscent of subterranean living spaces in Saigon and showcases human resilience in the face of adversity. Clean facilities and a nearby grocery shop make for a comfortable visit.
We arrived early in the morning and were the first visitors. We were lucky, because we managed to walk alone. Later a big bus of tourists arrived, so the place became crowded. It isn't big enough, like other underground cities in the area. There are some places like wells to upper levels of the underground city, where a rare tourist reaches. Such wells and small chambers behind them were the coolest experience. The only problem with this museum is that there is no regular transport to village Mazi. So we had to find a taxi in Kaymakli, which was a bit of a problem. The driver didn't speak much English, but some of us communicated with him in Turkish and agreed to take us to Mazy and back after some time.

Mazı village, whose ancient name was "Mataza", is 18 km south of Ürgüp and 10 km east of Kaymaklı Underground City. Today, only 2 floors of the underground city, which is thought to have four floors, can be visited. Four entrances were identified in different places, the main entrance is through a corridor made of irregular stones. The large bolt stone in the short corridor ensures the entrance and exit of the underground city under control. The small room in the interior is made for the sliding stone to move easily. The barns spread over large areas of the underground settlement are no different from the others. From the stables, a short corridor leads to the church of the underground city. The entrance of this place can be closed with a bolt stone. The underground city, the Mazı Underground City Landscaping Project, which was closed to visitors since 2003 due to the safety of life due to collapses, was completed and opened to visitors again in July 2015.

Our first underground city to visit and we were quite surprised on how well they preserved this place.. Well maintained place with at least 2 to 3 hours of time to spend inside. You can park your car, clean toilets are available inside, and small grocery shop to buy some snacks or drinks available nearby. Fun part to go around the tunnels , look at the different living rooms , a church , stone doors , water well, communication holes , bedrooms , baths , kitches, etc...

Ancient underground caves with complete system for living. Must visit places if one likes history and Archeology
P S — Google review
Lovely hidden gem. Not busy like the other underground cities - a local told us about it. You can ask the ticket booth for a guide they will help you out. It was also much cheaper than the other cities which were almost 5x the price.
Humaira K — Google review
Very nice! We liked it much better than famous Kaymakli and Derinkuyu. It is much cozy and comfortable to walk, at the same time you have little visitors and it is not less impressive! City is very spectacular, and people who work there are very kind. We was told today the whole story about each room in the city, that was made our day, thank you very much! Strongly recommend to visit :)

Walking in the caves that were made habitable and still many caves are not even excavated. The ability of the human race to live in adversities is amazing. It reminded me of the sub terrain anthill like living spaces in Saigon Vietnam, both were to escape and survive against enemies (sadly other humans) but the connectors and ventilation created is fascinating. It's a village underneath 😯🤩
M S — Google review
It is not so deep comparatively rather it might be the smallest one. The underground city has 3 entrances. Derenkyu kàymakli are deeper than this. Get a guide obviously otherwise you will not understand what is what!! If you have a short time to complete all the view points then choose Mazi.

Museum
We loved our personalized experience at the Cappadocia Coffee Museum at the AJWA Cappadocia grounds. We received tickets courtesy of Mr. Orkhan, the Guest Relations Supervisor at the AJWA Cappadocia Resort. The lady at the museum was very knowledgeable and friendly. She gave us an amazing tour of the museum with lots of history. This is a must visit while in Cappadocia since it’s the only second Coffee Museum in Turkey.
Waqas A — Google review
Cappadocia is a magnificent place. The coffee museum seems not very popular among the locals. It was the last place we visited before we left so it gave us the final touches of Cappadocia. It is not only a museum. You can spend wonderful time drinking coffee there while looking at the beautiful exhibits. You may also visit the art gallery, the zoo and the pottery workshop. It is interesting to walk around. You feel like we are in a luxurious cave city.
Galina G — Google review
The name of this place is somewhat misleading. It is not your typical museum. The building houses a museum, few shops and cafes. The museum is very small showcasing items relating to Turkish coffee. The shops sell special handmade furniture, accessories, coffee ware and related items. We had Turkish coffee in of the cafes and it was really good. I loved how they served the coffee. It was very elegant.
Ahmed A — Google review
Great place where you can see a coffee museum and enjoy fantastic coffee! The variety of different traditional coffee types is amazing! We had a guided tour in the museum by Nazha, who gave us plenty of interesting facts about coffee tradition! She is a great guide.
Safet K — Google review
So funny story… my partner and I accidentally set foot into Ajwa while exploring the historic sites. We were bewildered when the sand underfoot suddenly gave way to paved roads and a beautiful LARGE palace fit for sultans. (The staff who saw us looked equally bewildered to see us.) On our way to being directed out, we stumbled upon this coffee museum (which we thought was a history museum), and ended up enjoying a little high tea saffron coffee set and a honey cake. They were all DELIGHTFUL!! ♥️ Throughout our journey of fortunate mistakes, we were curious as to why Mustafapasa isn’t more popular with tourists. This little cafe would for sure be a big hit with their coffee and their sweets (which unfortunately I can’t post because I took a video instead of a photo). The decorations around are pretty and interesting to look at too, and all contribute to a relaxing ambience.
Charlene C — Google review
The coffee museum was a fun and unique place to visit if you are in the area. There were many old coffee making devices and cups from around the world. The coffee was also delicious and served in a beautiful way.
Carrie J — Google review
Really good and relaxing coffee place. Got a good museum. The host Sameer’s wax extremely professional and assisted us brilliantly
Pervez K — Google review
Odd experience that had its upsides! The ‘museum’ is on an upscale hotel estate, and on the face of it not worth the entry fee (it is tiny). Other than that there’s an art gallery, a shop selling expensive crockery, and a café selling beautiful and expensive cake. And delicious. As was the Turkish coffee, which looks expensive on the menu (170 lira) but it comes on a little stand with lavender cordial, water, a very nice chocolate, and an exceptionally smooth, well-made coffee. So come for that, not the museum!

Fantastic viewpoint and well worth the effort to climb to the top. The alleys to the top have a number of souvenir shops and Cafes, but you can just walk straight to the top and enjoy the view. Contrary to another reviewer, we did not pay any entry fee to visit this spot - there was never any indication of fees or even any person to take payment...
Charlie J — Google review
The panoramic view from the top is absolutely worth a visit if you're in town – breathtaking and memorable! The entrance ticket costs 20 lira, which is reasonable for the experience. There are a few benches to sit and enjoy the surroundings. Near the entrance, there’s a lovely tea café offering a beautiful view of the city, perfect for a relaxing moment. The site also includes the tomb of ancient rulers, but unfortunately, the doors are locked. You can peek inside through the unglazed windows, though I wouldn’t recommend it – the area smells strongly of cat excrement, which is disappointing and reflects poorly on how such historical landmarks are maintained. Despite this, the main attraction—the view—is still a must-see!
Alex S — Google review
A good place to see Urgup from above, but nothing out of the ordinary. For sunset lovers could be an interesting spot. The entrance ticket costs 20 Turkish Liras per person.
Dumitru S — Google review
Panoramic view of the town — definitely worth a visit! The entrance fee is 25 TL.
Галин Г — Google review
You will get a bird’s eye view of old and new Ürgüp from this hilltop. You can even see the tip of Erciyes mountain from here. There is an entrance fee for this hilltop. There are also two structures here; one is a cube like small structure, and the other one a tomb. I think the first structure used to be a library and a museum of some sort, but it’s not anymore.

There is no need for ticket, it is slightly at out skirts of the city. Pretty calm place. Not alot of people. Generally people dont visit here. But if you find the way iit isa must visit place.

Ürgüp is a stunning Cappadocia town that beautifully blends history, charm, and comfort. With its unique cave hotels, breathtaking landscapes, delicious local food, and warm hospitality, it offers a magical and unforgettable travel experience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Cappadocia
Halide A — Google review
Temenni Tepesi is a must-visit viewpoint in Ürgüp. The climb up the hill is fairly short but offers a rewarding panoramic view of the entire town and the surrounding Cappadocian landscape. The giant Turkish flag and the image of Atatürk painted on the rock give the site a strong cultural presence—it’s not just scenic, it’s symbolic. There’s a small café at the base and a few souvenir shops nearby, so you can grab a drink before heading up. We went early in the day before it got crowded, and the peace up there was incredible. A great place to sit, reflect, and take in the landscape that defines this magical region. Highly recommend visiting close to opening (9 AM) for softer light and fewer people. If you’re already in Ürgüp, it’s an easy walk from the town center.

Unfortunately, no wine tasting offered as they have no license, so no bottles open there. What a pity. We got however some good advice what to buy for our tasting at home....
Pavel H — Google review
It is nice to find all the small winery's wines in one place. I was hesitant to give 4 starts because people mentioned about wine tasting but they told us that they do not have that ... I purchased their red and fruit wine and will add that review after I have taste them. They should have different labels for their wine bottles. Now, I do not know which one is red and which one is fruit wine since both bottles have red wine label on them.

The cafe offers a unique dining experience with its creative menu and culinary expertise. Visitors can enjoy incredible views of the town from the terrace while savoring delicious food and receiving superb service. The staff is known for being attentive and friendly, ensuring a delightful dining experience for guests.
Have the meze for lunch on the nice airy rooftop dining area. The views, food and service are all top-notch. Each dish in the meze was carefully prepared with a lot of flavor and fresh ingredients. We especially liked the aubergine mezes and the garlic yogurt in the salad. Loved all the flavors and the combinations. Ziggi sauce is amazing. The pastry with pastirma and the cheese pastry are both freshly made for you and so crispy. Loved all of it. Thank you!

Ziggy Café & Shoppe is a homey oasis amid a sea of tourist traps. You can see the owner’s attention to detail in every corner. The food was incredible and the staff treat you like family. It was my mom’s birthday and they went above and beyond to make her feel special. The shop is full of craftsman’s wares, not your regular tourist tat. If you make one stop in Urgup, make it Ziggy!

I had dinner at this restaurant last night and I have to say, it was absolutely fantastic. The food was so fresh, you could really taste the quality of every single ingredient, and everything was prepared with so much love. The portions were just right, generous and satisfying, a truly authentic Turkish taste experience that I won’t forget anytime soon. Zeferan Cappadocia is a top steakhouse restaurant that offers a remarkable dining experience. The staff, including Erdal, Hasan, and Fatma, are friendly and attentive. The culinary expertise of Chef Yashar shines through in the delicious menu offerings. Guests can enjoy a variety of dishes prepared with care and attention to detail. The atmosphere is pleasant, making it an ideal place for a delightful meal accompanied by excellent service.
Superb experience! We started with a small inconvenience regarding the reservation, however it was quickly solved by the staff and my guest relations. Well, the service of the restaurant was excellent! Everyone was super helpful trying to help me with gluten-free options, which I totally know was on me. About the food: I decided for a simpler dish, given the restrictions, but my meat was very good anyway! I added a little bit of pepper for an extra kick. Oh, the chips were also pretty tasty and dry. Dessert: amazing! Kudos for the manager and chef (in the video), for making it up so quickly with an option! And an option that was very tasty! The restaurant is located inside Ajwa Cappadocia, a luxury 5 star hotel, which I visited, but didn’t book yet.

Zeferan Restaurant at AJWA Cappadocia is a dining experience to remember! The food was incredible, the ambiance phenomenal, and the service was absolutely flawless. Mr. Bariş took care of us with such kindness and attention to detail, making sure everything was perfect especially with food allergies in our family. Mr. Ertughrul, Gokhan, and Ramil were also phenomenal—they run an exceptional team and made us feel like royalty. The food was superb especially Mixed Grill, and every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. Team at Zeferan takes immense pride in what they do. Whether you’re staying at the hotel or just in the area, Zeferan is a must-visit. We can’t recommend it enough!

From start to finish, this was a truly exceptional experience! Not only was the dining outstanding, but the accommodation and overall atmosphere made the entire visit feel luxurious and unforgettable. The restaurant offers an elegant setting that perfectly balances comfort and sophistication. Every detail, from the décor to the lighting, creates a warm yet upscale environment. The staff treated us with the utmost care, making us feel like valued guests at all times. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality really stood out. The food was phenomenal—crafted with precision, beautifully plated, and bursting with flavor. Each course felt like a work of art, and it was clear that only the finest, freshest ingredients were used. What truly elevated the experience, however, was the level of accommodation provided. From personalized recommendations to ensuring every request was met seamlessly, the service felt tailored and luxurious. This is the kind of place where you can fully relax, knowing that every detail is taken care of. If you’re looking for a restaurant that combines world-class cuisine, exceptional service, and a touch of luxury, this is the place. An unforgettable 5-star experience—I can’t wait to return!

Our dining experience at Zeferan Cappadocia, a high-class top steakhouse, was nothing short of a gastronomic spectacle. It was a night where culinary excellence and artistic presentation combined to create an unforgettable experience. From the moment we entered, the service was absolutely exquisite (Thank you Erdal Insel). The staff demonstrated impeccable attention to detail, ensuring that every aspect of our experience was flawless. Their professionalism and attentiveness set the stage for an evening of unparalleled dining. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the themed chef competition. This original concept was not just entertaining but also a delight to the senses. Watching skilled chefs showcase their talents in a friendly culinary battle was both thrilling and enlightening. The opportunity to taste the results of their creativity and expertise added an extra layer of excitement to our meal. The ambiance of Zeferan Cappadocia was warm and inviting, with an elegant decor that complemented the high-quality cuisine. Every dish served was a work of art, displaying a level of originality and finesse that is rare to find. The flavors were rich, the ingredients were of the highest quality, and the presentation was simply stunning. A particularly enchanting moment was when rose petals were gently dropped over us just before the dessert course. This thoughtful and romantic gesture added a touch of magic to our evening and is something we still talk about with wonder. It was a sensory experience that elevated the meal from excellent to sensational. The concept of Zeferan Cappadocia is indeed world-class. The combination of a vibrant atmosphere, exceptional hospitality, and fabulous food with original presentation makes it a gem in the culinary world. The experience was not just a meal but a celebration of the finest aspects of dining. Zeferan Cappadocia is more than just a steakhouse; it's a destination for those who appreciate the art of fine dining. We left with a deep appreciation for the culinary arts and an eagerness to return and relive this extraordinary experience (Thank you Huseyin Boluk).

Visited to celebrate a birthday and I was able to order a small cake in advance to be brought out, which was nice. The menu options were interesting and the food was absolutely delicious, but the restaurant seemed a bit too fancy to have so many flies indoors disturbing our meal. After two of them fell into our water glasses, the server took them away but did not replace them with fresh drinking water or even apologize, and they also missed a couple of drink orders.

We had only a coffee and a salad, bit it was very good. Waiter Mehmet was also very kind. I think they needed much time for a simple espresso, but the view and the park were worth the waiting. We come definitely back!

You have to try this restaurant, I higly recommend. We tried their “masterchef challenge” and it was amazing. The food was tasty, atmosphere was great and the staff was very nice especially Erdal, Hasan and Fatma. Absolutely amazing tasting menu. The food was sensational- every dish a balanced plate. The enthusiasm of the staff for the local food and wine was clear. The view was stunning. This cost was a little over $3000tl, but worth it.

What a great experience! My husband and I were visiting Turkey for 2 weeks. After our first week in Istanbul we were starting to lose hope that Turkish food was anything more than kebab. But once we tried food in Capadocia we realized Turkish food is so much more diverse. Revithia was one of the culinary highlights. We both took the 8 course tasting menu with wine pairing. Each dish was unique and tasty. The wines were world class and complimented each dish. At the end we were full but not stuffed. We highly recommend this restaurant!

My husband and I celebrated our first night of our honeymoon in Cappadocia at Revithia. We did the 5 course tasting menu with wine parings. All the wine was Turkish and amazing, our favorite was the white. The dishes were simple, but flavorful and reflective of the diverse cultures that have inhabited the area. Our favorite dish was the veal cheek. The service, both from the manager and the servers, was amazing. The restaurant itself is intimate and comfortable. We highly highly recommend!

We stayed at Kayakapi for our 10yr anniversary and ate at Revithia on our last day. I had the 5-course vegan tasting menu and my husband had the 8-course tasting plus wine pairing. Everything was delicious and beautifully prepared. The staff were amazingly attentive and friendly. View is unbeatable. Must try during your stay in Cappadocia!

Really great high end restaurant in Cappadocia. Staff were fantastic, location was historic (although we couldn’t sit outside at this time of year which would have been even better), it was the best wine we tried in Turkey and the food was excellent. While more expensive than most meals in Turkey, the 8 courses were worth it and included service charge.

A wonderful experience. We had the 5 course vegan tasting menu. The service was immeasurable. It was attentive, friendly and accommodating. The waiter even called us a taxi and a buggy takes you to and from the front gate. It’s worth a visit.

Me and my girlfriend experienced this restaurant in our last night in kayakapi hotel. We ordered the 8 meal tasting menu. The hospitality of the staff was amazing. They explained every dish more than a minute and they explained the story behind every dish. The experience was truly amazing and strongly recommended.
Deniz B — Google review
As expected, this is an amazing restaurant with a multi-course tasting menu The atmosphere is amazing - very authentic setting and there was also live music The staff were well trained - finished plates did not stand on the table longer than 15 seconds. The next course came almost immediately after which resulted in a perfect uninterrupted experience. Maitre d'hotel, of, course, was on top of his game and explained every dish very well. All the dishes are local and rooted into the history of Cappadocia. Food - 5/5, I enjoyed every single dish of our 8-course menu. The only recommendation I would make to the chef is to reduce the acidity of the pastirma dish because the tahini sauce felt like it has a lot of vinegar. Also the sweetbread sandwich is a bit too fatty, maybe more bread or less sweetbreads would make it better. Just a suggestion. The signature dish, Revithia, was absolutely awesome. Also the desert was amazing - just perfect level of sweetness. The local Cappadocia wine pairing is interesting. The restaurant is located in a very nice hotel, quite an authentic experience.

We had a lovely night at Logarto restaurant ! Even though they were pretty busy at that night they warmly welcomed us! Such a fascinating view.. The portions are pretty good for the prices! We had a fruit plate and very tasty side dish which is called ‘Girit meze’ with two glasses of red wine. Paid around 1000 turkish liras! Thank you!!!

Lovely gem of a rooftop restaurant with reasonable prices and friendly services. Felt like a queen enjoying good food overlooking Urgup caves and village. Turkish rugs and pillows to lounge on.

An incredible meal with an incredible view. My group of nine were seated immediately and treated to impeccable service and amazing food. We tried a variety of appetizers and entrees, each with a brief explanation of the dishes’ history and ingredients. Best meal in Turkey so far, couldn’t recommend this place more.

We had our last lunch at Lagarto based on the positive reviews we've read. The place is charming and it's located on the rooftop of Dere suites hotel. The views over Ürgüp are nice and the atmosphere is romantic & relaxing. The food is tasty, the service is great & the prices are reasonable.

Delicious, definitely not overpriced and good sized portions. The waiters were lovely and even arranged a taxi for us that took us back to our hotel. Amazing experience with a nice view. 10/10 would recommend

Best meal we had while in Cappadocia! The food was excellent and the staff (Adem and Cennet) were lovely. We loved the mezze options and slow cooked beef. We ate on the terrace patio at 8pm and were wowed by the views as the sunset. We also loved how it was walking distance from the local hotels. Highly recommend if you are in the area!

What an amazing dining experience! As soon as my husband and I entered the restaurant we were greeted by the friendly and professional host, Sedat bey. Both items he recommended, the lamb shank and rack of ribs were so delicious! We were excited to come back the following night to try the creamy pasta and another recommendation of Sedat bey, the testi kebabı, again both dishes were incredible - eline sağlık to the chef! We had such a great time at Lagarto restaurant, the entire staff do a supurb job and we are sad that we're leaving after 2 days! Çok teşekkür ederiz her şey için we hope to back in the future :)

Nestled in the lively town of Urgup, Dunya Iskender Kebap Restoran is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Turkish cuisine. This family-run establishment is renowned for its exquisite Iskender Kebap, which features tender slices of grilled meat served atop warm pita and generously smothered in rich tomato sauce, melted butter, and yogurt. The inviting atmosphere is complemented by friendly service that makes you feel right at home.
It was such a great choice that I decided to have dinner at this restaurant. The owner couple and their sons welcomed us and they explained to us about the foods and how to eat them kindly. (Another advantage for travelers is that they can speak english very well.) Surely, the tastes of the dishes were also fantastic. I highly recommend eating here, and if you do, you will never regret it!!

We had an absolutely lovely time at this delicious restaurant! I highly recommend the Kirimitte Tavuk (Chicken on Tiles) and they made the best mantisi (Kayseri Mantisi) that I've had my whole trip! Service was on point and the family is wonderful. Eren was a fabulous teacher and a fun time showing us how to break the pottery kebab. For dessert definitely try the kunefe! I always have a tradition of revisiting my favorite food before leaving a town and Dunya Iskender Kebap was our final stop!

This small family run restaurant is an absolutely delicious find. We tried various dishes here and the service is lovely. The son of the owner was our waiter and he was fast and responsive. He speaks some English which is good for any American tourists like us. To start the chicken and tiles and kayseri mantisi were great. We easily cleaned our plates and cleaned up the juices with the bread, which was refilled for us. My favorite, though was the pottery kebab. Don’t think of it as a gimmick, it is a local dish and the meat is truly delicious and tender. Yet again. we cleaned the plates with the bread. For dessert, we had künefe, which was homemade and delicious as well. We ended the dinner with some chai and the owner and her son were so sweet the whole time. If you want a taste of the local dishes and have a more authentic experience with delicious food, I highly recommend this small restaurant. This place was so good we went back again the next night. Also, they do take credit card

For first timers to try the clay pot kebap.. it’s the best place not too big of a serving yet absolutely delish. They will serve you with the salad, pickles and some salsa with yogurt with bread for a reasonable price. It is really good.
