Great unique experience. They give you individual audio pods which hosts several languages. This gallery is the home that Anne Frank found refuge with her family before they were found. As you enter each room, you scan the room# as it narrates events in her life. There is a bookstore and café shop located at the end of the tour. Rsvp online purchase as it is busy, but not really a long wait when it get there. Goes fast and the tour is about an hour long.

Impressive, very well conserved. Autoguided visit. No photos allowed in the hidden house, only in the visitors centre for the ones who buy the ticket+introdutory lesson (30 minutes for an overview of the history, I fully recommend). It can be a little sufocating not only because of the place but also about the history that happened inside. It is impossible going there and not feel bad about what these walls have listened and witnessed. It is a painful but necessary visit.

Really would recommend. The audio tour helps paint a picture of what it was like back then. Imagining having to be quiet so you weren't heard. Seeing the original features really brings it to life.

A solemn and moving museum to remind humanity not to repeat such horrific events. The courage of not only the Frank family but also the saints who helped this family was displayed. It filled my heart to see that the dreams of a young girl was fulfilled although she was denied to live her life.

Amazing! You cannot take photos inside, they have coat check so you can bring your bag to leave there. They also provide speaker phone type of device in many different languages. I have a spinal condition and was able to make all of the stairs! I highly recommend.

A great display. To see the conditions & how the family lived hiding all those years was amazing. You certainly have to book 6 weeks in advance in summer/peak season. Unfortunately no photos allowed to be taken inside the complex.

Great museum. Hadn’t been for a few years, better than I remembered. Amazing art spread over four floors in the heart of the museum area. Saw huge works of art, great sculpture too and even an aircraft up on floor 3. And a condom that dates back to 1830 🙄 A must see. Only takes a couple of hours to get a good feel. You can then return to explore more.

Stunning setting on par with the Louvre; goldmine of Dutch Masters but also extensive collections of porcelain, china, silverware, jewelry, firearms, nautical models and other items. Large, open atrium and other common areas with ample access to washrooms, lifts and stairwells. App (IOS and Android) loads easily and allows access to thematic and custom tours. BRING ear buds, although you can listen via your phone’s speaker. Audio device is only €6.50 each. Cafeteria fills by mid-day with lineup; we grabbed coffee / tea and a brownie for two at the smaller cafe. Cons: App and general signage could be better at orienting visitors: it took a while to find the Great Hall. Many exhibits are dimly lit; I know this protects paintings/fabric/etc, but many other international museums have more ample lighting. Maybe illuminate the text descriptions separately? Given that explanatory panels are often mounted within 50cm of the floor, deciphering them can pose a challenge. Even saw quite young folks having to squint. Strongly advise staff to engage an Optometrist to assist in this. Sum: certainly a “must see”, with a complete visit likely requiring 3+ hrs. Staff very helpful, and roving throughout the museum. Buy tickets from the official site beforehand (or via QR on site), and avail yourself of the (included) coat-check.

The Rijksmuseum is an incredible place to explore Dutch art and history. The collection is world-class from Rembrandt’s The Night Watch to Vermeer’s The Milkmaid, every gallery feels like a walk through time. The building itself is stunning, and the layout makes it easy to wander and discover something new at every turn. That said, it can get very crowded, especially on weekends. I definitely recommend buying your tickets in advance to skip the long lines and secure your preferred time slot. Once inside, take your time there’s so much to see that it’s worth spending a few hours here. Overall, a fantastic cultural experience and a must-visit in Amsterdam, just make sure to plan ahead!

Buy tickets outside at a little portable booth in front of the overpass. Watch out for FAST💨 BIKES!!! The famous Night Watchman by Rembrandt is under serious restoration and is partially blocked due to scaffolding. This painting is on the second floor, the 1700s. Later work by Van Gogh is on the 1st floor exhibited. We also ate lunch in the museum cafeteria and the food was super fast and fresh! The chicken salad and the buffalo mozzarella salad were excellent!!

Classic, iconic, and indispensable art museum. While it is best known for its classic collection and Dutch Golden Age masterpieces, it also hosts an extensive selection of works from other periods, including contemporary critical exhibits. Carefully curated, the visit can be extensive if one wishes to cover all it has to offer. But it makes for a memorable experience both for those with a dedication to art and culture, and the casual visitor. It is useful to book tickets in advance. While the crowds are managed reasonably, it can get busy, in particular in the most popular galleries. An early arrival is useful to enjoy those works in a more relaxed way. The museum has quality services for information, accessibility, shop, restaurant and coffee bar. Staff is professional, congenial, and knowledgeable across all roles. The 2013 refurbishment of the historic Pierre Cuypers building by Cruz y Ortiz Arquitectos still feels fresh, cogent, and successful in upgrading the entrances, patios, service areas, and selected exhibition spaces. If anything it would have been nice to have a more direct opportunity to understand the evolution of the building, its spaces, collection history, and new curatorial practices. Although much of that emerges through the visiting experience, and carefully prepared exhibits.

This museum was huge! Beautiful to look and on both the inside and the outside. Beautiful gardens and greenery and the building was an architectural masterpiece. Our story is a little funny because even tho we paid to enter, we were so tired from the day already that we only entered for a mere 3 minutes and then stepped out to go look for Stroopwaffles. We barely saw anything here, but hey everyone says it's a must-see when you're visiting Amsterdam.

The Rijksmuseum is spacious and full of variety—you can easily spend two hours or more exploring. Of course, the famous paintings, especially those by Rembrandt, are breathtaking. But beyond that, we enjoyed discovering other exhibits too: delicate porcelain, shipbuilding models, and historical artifacts that tell stories beyond the canvas. We arrived early, which helped—it was fairly quiet at first. But the museum filled up quickly and became quite crowded in some areas. The café is lovely and offers a peaceful break. Unfortunately, The Night Watch is currently under restoration, but even so, it remains a powerful and moving centerpiece. Visiting the Rijksmuseum is a beautiful experience—perfect for art lovers, history enthusiasts, and anyone seeking cultural depth and inspiration.

We try to visit an art museum in every city we visit and this was a great one! Very organized timed entry and exit. The audio tour was great and the art was obviously amazing. It was also a good size, but not so big your feet hurt by the end. :) Definitely a must see if you visit Amsterdam but buy your tickets well in advance!

Must visit if you like art even one tiny bit. I'm not an art aficionado myself but I can't not be amazed by Van Gogh's Paintings. You cannot buy tickets at the gate. It must be pre purchased online beforehand. Please note the starry night (Van Gogh's most famous painting) is not here. But they have other amazing paintings including another masterpiece - The potato eaters. The lighting is not nice. It's dull yellow and doesn't do justice to the colours. It should be much brighter. One thing which was not nice was the locker system to keep your backpack which is not allowed inside. It's free but had no instructions. You first need to go to the panel and enter a code and it will assign a locker. The shop is also nice, they have some really good items for sale. Overall worth every penny !

An absolutely incredible experience! Visiting the Van Gogh Museum was a highlight of my trip to Amsterdam. I truly enjoyed the experience! Though the museum doesn’t have some works like the starry night, it explores the path of Vincent through the time. What I liked is examples of the work that inspired Van Gogh, the paintings of his friends that he exchanged for his paintings and the paintings that got inspiration from Van Gogh. An extended audio guide was easy to follow and it felt pretty short.

Let’s be honest this is one of those things that everyone tells you have to see. If you’re visiting Amsterdam, you’re probably going whether you want to or not. Take the back staircase that gives you a great view of the area below. I actually recommend going all the way to the top first and then working your way down. Don’t worry about going to the first gift shop you see there’s multiple gift shops there. They’re also is a few really great views to be had depending on where you stop for a coffee. The architecture of the building itself is actually really enjoyable. There’s a lot of art to be seen so if you walk into one room and it’s crowded just circle back to it later. Budget a few hours, but don’t spend the whole day because there’s a ton to do in the surrounding area.

The Van Gogh Museum is absolutely stunning, not just the building itself, which is beautiful, but the entire atmosphere. The exhibits are incredible, of course, but what truly stood out to me was the storytelling. As we walked through the museum, we felt like we were being guided through Vincent’s life, seeing the world through his eyes, and understanding his struggles, passion, and vision on a much deeper level. By the time we left, we had a completely new appreciation of who Vincent Van Gogh was, both as an artist and as a person. It’s an experience that stays with you long after you’ve walked out the door.

I had a great experience. I would say it would take 1.5-2 hours to get through the museum. There is a lot of people (of course) which does make it harder to enjoy but what can you do. There is a lot to learn about his life. There are some other artists who were his friend or inspiration etc. The gift shops/ cafe are about the size of the museum itself but it has a huge selection too and reasonably priced. There are also lockers to store your bags/ coat hangers so you don’t have to carry around so much and can enjoy the works of art.

My local park. I love it & so do many many Amsterdamers.. Tourists, everyone. Busy and buzzing. With lots of wildlife and some quiet peaceful areas.. Lovely Rose garden. Playgrounds, Bars, restaurants and concert venue inside. It's a main thoroughfare into the city and in the mornings and evenings it's like a Football game has ended.. Great for running - just about 3.5km all the way around the place but also inline skating and cycling. Walking etc.. Outside smelly Dutch style urinals placed strategically about but also public toilets in the bars.. A long and fairly narrow green lung in the city.

A beautiful park to take a walk to or go by bike!!! If you have time you can just sit on a bench or on the grass and enjoy the calm nature around you. Really a beautiful place!

Vondelpark is amazing, i would just wish that Amsterdam had like 10 of Vondelparks. :) Great place to hang out and walk around out of the hustle and bustle of the city surrounding it. Vondelstraat is also a great neighborhood to walk through.

Walked through this beautiful Vondel park, lots of people taking advantage of this park, walking, running, biking, sitting on benches, sitting on the grass. Many people were here and I found I had to watch myself that I didn’t get in anyone’s way, still glad I checked this area out.

I absolutely loved the park the trees and roses were breathtaking to see in person. The sound of running water added such a calming touch, and the Japanese maples were stunning. It’s the perfect spot for yoga or simply unwinding after a busy day.

Vondelpark is a truly beautiful and relaxing place in the heart of Amsterdam. The park feels peaceful and full of life at the same time, with wide green spaces, winding paths, and lovely ponds. It’s perfect for walking, cycling, or simply sitting on a bench and enjoying the atmosphere. Whether you visit in the morning or at sunset, the scenery is charming and the vibe is welcoming. It’s a wonderful escape from the busy city streets and a must-see for anyone visiting Amsterdam.

Our favorite spot in Amsterdam! We walked and cycled across this park almost every day during our stay in Amsterdam, and each time we found a lovely spot inside this park. They have rose sections which I imagine would be best during spring or early summer. There are public toilets accessible in this park, not sure about the cleanliness.

Very nice service from the people working at the little office today (19 July). We had some discount cards from vrindenloterij and the guy was so nice to check if they work with them ( they didn’t) but still he made an extra effort to check that for us, we made a reservation for a later moment and when we came back there was a lady who explained everything nice and she was really friendly ☺️ thank you

This pedal boat experience was a mistake for us. There was nothing enjoyable, easy or entertaining about it. My 10-year old child and I rented a Stromma Utrecht paddle boat today and regretted it immediately. Why? It was just way too much work for two people on vacation. We had not been prepared for the *huge amount of physical exertion* required to move and steer these boats. We made it through 1/3 of the route, and then decided to turn back, as we were already sweaty, stressed and physically wasted from pedaling and steering of the boat. It was a very hot day. I do not recommend this experience to anyone, really, but if you must give it a try, you should consider yourself Strong, Energized, and on the Tall side. This is necessary because the seats on the boats do not adjust, and short-legged people will be challenged to reach the pedals and get traction. Steering the boats is also arduous and requires arm strength. Combined with the hard pedaling, it made for an unpleasant experience in a beautiful place. And lastly, the route map that is on the boat was unhelpful, as it was faded and impossible to read. It would be wonderful if the company revised and replaced them. The employee who helped us today was both nice and professional, and did her best to provide service. Still, she cannot control the quality of the boats or of the experience you will have, once you are out on your own. In summary, I discourage you from spending money on this pedal boat tour. The rental kayaks we saw (different company) looked like a much better time.

Probably the most beautiful activity you can do when visiting Utrecht. Check their opening hours before you go. They are open April, May, June, September and October from Wednesday until Sunday 10h00-18h00. Daily in July and August. Closed November, December, January and February. This way you are never disappointed...

Went to Utrecht for a day out of Amsterdam. As a group of four we almost skipped this canal tour booth until one of us pointed it out. We each had to then pay an admission fee, but once that was done we were to hop onto a four man pedal boat and explore the canals of this Dutch city. We were completely blown away with the views and overall friendly atmosphere of the city. The ride takes about 90 minutes but you get to see so much at your own pace and have a fun time doing it.

Sadly we can't have a pedalo since we are 2 adults and three kids, despite the fact that our small one would have had more than enough space to sit in the middle....

It’s a well organized tour. The steps could be a bit slippery. The last steps are a bit challenging as there are many to climb in a single go. They also get very narrow at the end. The views, to be frank, are nothing to brag about- so don’t go just for the view and since the barricades are metallic and not of glass or clear plastic, you cannot get good pictures. Anyway it was exhilarating because of the cool breeze at the top.

Definitely worth the effort climbing up to the top of the tower. Guide is in both Dutch and English. Almost 500 steps single trip and the staircase is getting narrower and narrower as moving towards the top. Be prepared for shaky legs after coming down ...

Had a great tour here. We bought tickets in advance and everything was very smooth. There are a lot of stairs and many spiral which does get a bit warm, but is a cool experience and learned some interesting history. Great views and very good tour guides who are able to provide the tour and answer questions in Dutch and English.

This is one of the recommended activities to do in Utrecht. It is exhilarating when you get to the top but you need to climb 463 steps with 4 stops to get there. The last stretch was most difficult because it was 150 steps at once and towards the top it got much narrower so for the claustrophobic folks, take note. Otherwise its a nice feeling to get to the top and get some photos though the barb wire can pose a challenge to getting wonderful photos.

Utrecht is a small, charming and very vibrant city. I just stayed one day but had an amazing experience and will definitely go again. Utrecht has so many things to offer from historical buildings and museums to good shopping and great diversity of food places.

This is a place you should visit in Utrecht provided you can take the significant climb up the stairs. The view is certainty worth it. You have to book a tour, which does add to the experience and our guide was friendly and informative. The tour was presented in Dutch and English. The start point is in a shop nearby so make sure you read the information carefully.

Must see if you visit Utrecht, the view from the tower is absolutely gorgeous and the story behind the tower is nice to hear. You can also do some exercising while enjoying the views. 🤓 Book a ticket in advance.

The hotel has a beautiful location, which is a great plus. However, the rooms were disappointing, with small and uncomfortable beds, leading to a low rating of 4/10 for the room. The reception service was decent, with a rating of 8/10. On the downside, the attitude of one of the kitchen staff members was very poor. There was a noticeable lack of respect for both guests and colleagues at the reception, which significantly impacted the overall experience. The breakfast selection was limited, but it was what I expected given the nature of the hotel. The hotel itself appears old, though it has been renovated. There is parking available for guests, which is a positive feature. I arrived late in the evening, but the reception staff, particularly the Syrian employee, were extremely welcoming and professional, making the check-in process pleasant. Conclusion: Despite the nice location and good reception staff, I do not plan to stay at this hotel again due to the uncomfortable beds and poor service from certain staff members.

Cleanliness was a major concern during my stay. Unfortunately, this was the least clean hotel I have ever experienced. There were stains on the curtains, stained fingerprints on the walls, and lip marks on the mugs and glasses. The chairs and telephone were also dusty and dirty. I ended up having to do the cleaning myself, as otherwise I would have found it very difficult to remain in the room. What made this particularly disappointing is that the marks on the walls and the stains on the mugs and glasses could have been removed with just a little care. This reflects poorly on the housekeeping standards. I did not request a room change, as I did not believe it would have made much difference. The soundproofing was also very poor — I could clearly hear conversations from the neighbouring room, and each time a door closed in the corridor my bed actually shook. In addition, I did not find the blue lighting in the bathroom pleasant, and the shower temperature was inconsistent. Overall, I am sorry to say that this was a very disappointing stay.

This is the classic holiday inn express. Predictable as always. There are no surprises here as well and you can not go wrong with this place as a business traveller for a short stay. The checkin experience was smooth. The staff very helpful. I had the keys of my room in my hand in no time. The rooms were the same holiday inn express rooms. Minimalist! But everything works. I always miss a wardrobe, a place to keep my suitcase, a safe to keep the passport and a mini refrigerator. It would be so great if somehow the design incorporated at least a safe and a place to keep the suitcase, so that you don't live of the suitcase on the floor. The TV is the size of a small computer monitor. Most computer monitors available now are bigger than the TV here and that needs to change. The breakfast is included as a part of the package for everyone and is great. It's not an elaborate spread. It's the same menu everyday, but no real complaints here. The one challenge with this place is that there isn't a proper place to board a cab or get out of one. The only place for one to do this is in the bus lane near a bus stop and that is complex. But I guess most people will just take a train. The place is very conveniently located near the Rotterdam central station. There are a number of very good places to eat within a short walking distance. I would strongly recommend a stay here.

It's a relatively comfortable hotel, but with a few faults. First our room was not made up in the morning, towels not changed. We complaint to the reception unfortunately they don't have any idea about it. Secondly the room telephone doesn't have a cord so it isn't working (see my photo). Thirdly the bed was too soft sinking to the middle. Having said all these, breakfast was good, location is fantastic, it's only about 200 yards from the central station.

Hotel is in a great location with train station, tram, shopping and restaurants within walkable distance. Having stayed in the hotel for close to a month, my husband and I were super disappointed. This is the worst customer experience we had with an IHG hotel chain. Room has very poor sound proofing. Even though we did not opt for the green option, bed linen were not changed daily. Hotel staff told us it’s only changed every 4 days (which is for the green option). Our room was also not made up on one day. And we could see the floor was not vacuumed for days as remnants were found. Instead of taking ownership and solving the issue, staff at the reception just pointed the problem to the housekeeping team. No apology was given at the very instant the issue was raised to her. She even offered to give us the bed linen expecting us to change by ourselves. Bathroom was not well cleaned. And we had sink that was choked. And bathroom was closed to being choked after 22 days of stay. Staff at the reception told us it’s a 3-stars hotel so it’s old and things might not work. Facial tissue was not replenished during housekeeping. When we requested for it, we were told to get it from the reception Housekeeping team left unwanted stuff such as extra pillow case, garbage bag, cleaning cloth, etc in the room. In our opinion, the hotel amenities are not that old. It’s the attitude and level of engagement and service of the team that caused the issues. Feedback to hotel there is a strong cigarette smell at the same floor and no action was taken to address it. Breakfast also lacked varieties and remained very much the same daily. We had to depart very early for our flight so we settled the bills the night before. No one communicated that we could arrange breakfast takeaway until we handed the key cards back to the hotel. We requested to talk to the GM but he did not respond to our request. In summary, the leadership, service and operations have huge room for improvement as evident by our personal experience. IHG group should seriously take the feedback from google reviews and strive to improve the overall service levels.

We chose this hotel solely for its location, but what we experienced turned our stay into a complete nightmare. After checking in at 3 PM as requested, my wife got into bed only to discover a large, dry brown stain on the sheets — unclear whether it was food, vomit, or something else entirely. Disgusted but polite, we reported the issue to reception at around 5 PM. We were reassured that the situation would be taken care of. Fast forward to 10 PM: we return to the room, only to find the exact same stained sheets — nothing had been done. We went back to reception, and the same staff member who had acknowledged the issue accompanied us back to the room… bringing clean sheets in hand and expecting us to change the bed ourselves. This level of service is beyond unacceptable. For any hotel, cleanliness and basic hospitality are non-negotiable. What happened here was not only unprofessional, but also absolutely appalling. Needless to say, we will never return — and would strongly advise others to think twice before booking.

While the location was right downtown and close to a tram line, I would NOT stay her again or recommend it again. Mostly for lack of cleanliness and the telephone did not work but the hotel staff neglected to notify us when we checked In. TV remote have a large amout of visible dirt. The beds were twin slightly sunken in the middle but there was a strong foul vomit odor on the bed & wall next to it.

I remember this being one of the happiest day of my life so far. Where my inner child was allowed to experience joy and excitement with no limitations. There are various different rides ranging from easy-going to adventure seeking, so different strokes for different folks. It's very family friendly and easily accessible to all. On the day we went, there were a lot of kids, babies, toddlers and disabled persons. It accommodates all family sizes. I went with my partner and we noticed that there were some rides that were only for single riders, so you can definitely experience this solo. In addition to the rides, it's magical to walk around and take in the atmosphere and Fairytale details of the park. I really appreciated the fact we didn't stand too long in the lines for food and the rides. Also a big shout out to the staff who are simply the best (to quote Tina Turner). Thank you Efteling!

It is ok for families with kids between 5 and 10. Probably also for people between 20 and 25 who are seeking gor a bit of adrenaline. Food prices are ok All in all, if you live at maximum 250 km is a good place to spend a nice day.

Probably the best theme park i've ever been to. The attractions are really immersive and they have something for all ages. They also have some really fun shows happening all over the park. On top of that, i thought all the food we had was very tasty and reasonably priced. Since we went on a weekday at the end of September, the wait times were never more than 10 minutes. I would definitely recommend using their app which has an interactive map of the park where you can view the live waiting indicators and show times.

Even on a Wednesday, there were still lots of people! The popular rides had a 20–30 minute wait. Some of the facilities looked a bit old and even a little creepy, but the merry-go-round was very special and really cool.

Efteling is a stunning themepark full of magic and spectacle! It’s perfect for bringing children or honestly any family member- I’m not joking your grandma would love this! Every attraction is themed, detailed and a cared for. Nothing is without consideration, the green spaces, the story telling - even the bins are a delight (iykyk). Every staff member you encounter will be lovely- every ride operation will be fast but efficient. One day is simply not enough to see and experience everything as there is so much to do but one day at Efteling will fill your heart for a year if you have to travel as far as I did for the experience!

A bit crowded and long queues compared to other parks, but it is worth it. Many people prefer new rollercoasters, which are nice of course, but in my opinion joris and the draak is still one of the best: longer ride and many turns, plus the waiting line moves faster.

An incredible day out. Beautifully designed and perfect for kids We spent a full day at Efteling (10am–7:30pm) with our two young children and honestly, it was amazing. The park is huge and much bigger than Disney in terms of space, but it never felt overwhelming. There are so many rides, attractions, and beautifully landscaped areas to explore. Despite it being August and around 25°C, we barely queued the longest we waited was 30 minutes for the train (we'd just missed it), but everything else was under 10 minutes, including the pedal trains, a few dark rides, and Carnaval Festival. What really sets Efteling apart is the atmosphere: peaceful, whimsical, and full of little pockets where you can sit, eat, or just wander in the shade. It felt like a fairytale world that hadn’t been turned into a shopping centre. One big downside though – no water fountains anywhere. Coming from the UK where free tap water is a given, this was a bit of a shock. The day before in Belgium we were told off for asking to fill our bottles at a soft play, so luckily we had our Yeti flasks with us at Efteling – they just about lasted the day. Would 100% go back – totally magical and very thoughtfully put together. Oh and the pancake restaurant is so charming. And the fountain show is a brilliant way to end the day!

This place is incredible. Such beautiful ornate details and awe inspiring architecture. I am constantly fascinated by these old world buildings and love to visit them. This is one of the biggest cathedral’s I’ve seen with many spaces to worship, walk around and see beautiful art and sculptures. Highly recommended when you visit Antwerp.

4rth time in Antwerp, fourth visit in the Cathedral. Just unique! The paints of Rubens and De Vries are breathtaking! The cathedral is so impressive.

This cathedral is one of a kind, a historical icon of Antwerp’s religious heritage. A calm place to revisit the past and view it from today’s perspective. It tells a timeless story of the struggle of Virgin Mary. I recommend going and seeing what is inside, it only costs €12.

The cathedral is incredibly impressive, but the €12 entrance fee is a bit too much in my opinion. Inside are lots of beautiful stained glass windows.

Absolutely the best. I got such a nice room with a great view to the station. Spacious and superclean room. Friendly and very helpful front desk staff. Excellent breakfast. Only complain I might have would be the smokers on the front entrance due to close proximity of the bus stop.

Very good hotel right opposite the Antwerp train station. I’ve given it 5* for location as I wanted to be close to the station. It is about a 15 minute walking into the ‘old town’ Rooms very comfortable and modern. Staff were incredibly helpful and kind Decent included breakfast.

Hampton by Hilton Antwerp is in a very convenient location—just steps away from Central Station. The hotel is quite good and up to standard. The in-room amenities are complete, the place is clean, and the service is great. Jesse, the front desk staff we met on the first day, was cheerful and provided us with a lot of helpful information. Breakfast was decent.

We had a fabulous stay at the Hampton Hotel Antwerp. The location is right across ghe road from the train station which makes exploration of Belgium so convenient. The staff was super friendly and attentive to all our needs. Sorry that I do not know all their names but Lesley stands out as a great example of great service and for caring about his guests. Highly recommended

Great Diamond member recognition. Nice staff, specious room and happy atmosphere. The best part of the hotel is the unbeatable location. Near to the central station, restaurants, supermarkets and zoo. Perfect for family with kids.

Not a great hotel for families. Rooms very dated. Carpets in the rooms and nasty stains all over them, feels very dirty. Bed like a block of wood and pillows with filling all knotted and bunched in places. No sound proofing at all so can hear people in the hallways, and very busy train station right outside so very loud. Parking very far, so if coming with a car avoid this hotel at all costs, if not for the reasons above anyway. Arrived at 11pm with 2 very tired children, 2 and 4 years old. No parking at all outside, risked parking in the road for a few minutes while unloading the bags. Asked wife to go and check in so I could park the car. Parking is 15/20 minutes away including walk back to hotel. Asked my wife to check in and go to the room. Her purse and phone was in the car in the hurry. When I got to the hotel they were still at reception and was told receptionist wouldn’t give the key because the tourist tax had to be paid. I asked the receptionist why couldn’t you give my wife and kids the room key as I was coming back and it’s 11pm for a 2 and 4 year old who were very restless and making it difficult for wife to look after. Fee was only €5 and all she said is I can’t give it, there’s cameras all over watching me. It’s such a stupid excuse, and doesn’t care about customers at all and their struggles. Wife was struggling for 20 minutes with 2 children who were rolling around the floor while she just watched on. They could have been in bed, and all for €5 which we were obviously going to pay anyway, along with the parking costs at the reception. Had to come back to pay that after anyway for a parking garage which was a while away. I then asked if the request we made for a cot in the room was seen and if there was a cot. She said I can see your request so there will be a cot in the room, and if there isn’t just let us know. She didn’t care at all. Surprise surprise no cot in the room, so waited another 20 minutes with the kids for the cot to be bought up. Wished we never booked this hotel, staff with no empathy or care for customers. Avoid at all costs.

I stayed at the Hampton by Hilton Antwerp Central Station for six nights to participate in a technical meeting that was held nearby at A Room with a ZOO. The hotel was an excellent value, well-located, and offered traveler-friendly services. Breakfast in the morning and the house bar at night were highlights.

A visually impressive train station, which looks incredible at night, almost like a spaceship. However, it is full of beggars, inside and out, which makes it feel very unsafe. There are also lots of homeless people sleeping inside the station building. I found some of the staff at the ticket office to be a little unfriendly, but overall, the train station served its purpose, with platforms which were easy to access, and trains which arrived and departed on time.

I visited Liege city two years ago during a trip from Maastricht. The distance was short, and the train ride was quick and comfortable. When I arrived, I was amazed by the station’s(Liege Guillemins) breathtaking architecture. Designed by Santiago Calatrava, the sweeping glass and steel structure felt open, modern, and futuristic. It’s not just a train station it’s truly a piece of art. Everything was very clean, organized, and easy to navigate. It’s a must-visit for anyone who appreciates modern design. After exploring the station, I spent some time visiting the city of Liege. The city is full of history, culture, and lively streets. I walked around the old town, visited beautiful churches like the Liege Cathedral, and enjoyed the view from the top of the Montagne de Bueren, a long staircase with amazing city views. Liege has a friendly atmosphere with scenic spots along the Meuse River. Whether you love architecture, history, or just relaxing walks, Liege is definitely worth a visit.

I love the architecture of this station. The design just pops and it is very bright. Easy access to all platforms. The bus station is right out in front of the station. Few restaurants and food stands in the station. More outside of the station across the street. I really enjoyed my visit to this station. It is beautiful.

Don't try to use luggage storage at this station. There is a tiny room in a filthy corner without any signage, impossible to find without asking. There are around 20 lockers for the whole station. Despite almost all the large ones being empty, the machine stated them as "sold out". Even if you get one, they are ridiculously expensive.

Be aware: Departure platform (mostly) blocked. We arrived on platform 1 and had 9 minutes to get to platform 2. We almost missed our connection because the first three entrances to platform 2 were blocked with railing, or yellow barrier. We tried 1 set of stairs, 2 escalators (which were running, but blocked). We jumped over the barrier at 2nd escalators, because the train was about to leave. We passed another set of stairs that also was blocked. At least three passengers missed train. Luckily we only had two 23kg bags and our backpacks 😅

One of the most exciting places I' ve seen in my life. Frankly a paradise on earth for photographers and for architects. I suggest you to come 1 hour earlier than your train departure, because it is high danger to miss it as you'll admire and photograph it! Finally, we have to notice that it is one of the most central train stations in the world!

Fabulous design, have been through here a few times on my way to Bruxelles, Kortrijk and south to the Ardennes. Nice shops on the bottom floor, 3 coffee shops, but missing a General store for travellers. Has a mezzanine level that is completely derelict, pity, would have been a great addition to the railway station and added something to it's usefulness.

The museum is interactive and tells a very well thought out story. The details are everywhere from fun little Lego characters to computer screens that either tell cool stories or morph between images from what's on the screen to what's behind it. Very cool displays throughout the museum. I was also loving the presentation of the battlefield by the use of telescopes to find the moving soldiers on the battlefields throughout different dates. Everything was engaging and creative and had multiple languages. Definitely recommend a visit. We took our 12 year old and she was engaged in parts and not so much on others.

It’s a place where history truly comes alive.

The Waterloo Battlefield experience is truly fantastic and incredibly well-organized. You begin your journey in a superb museum that expertly guides you through the intricate history of the Battle of Waterloo and Napoleon's significant role. The exhibits are exceptionally well-made, enhanced by an engaging audio guide accessible via your phone, providing rich details that truly bring the era to life. I was particularly impressed by the captivating paintings and their accompanying in-depth explanations. From the museum, you can ascend to the iconic Lion's Mound (the "pyramid"). The panoramic view from the top is absolutely breathtaking, offering a clear perspective of the battlefield. There's also a detailed plan indicating the real positions of the warring factions, which is incredibly helpful for visualizing the conflict. A real highlight for me was the immersive acting experience, where you handle a wooden musket and learn to march like the troops before battle. Furthermore, the shooting simulation is beautifully crafted, brilliantly capturing the essence and intensity of what it must have been like to be amidst a real fight. This entire site is stunning and comes highly recommended for a visit with both kids and friends.

Had a great experience at the Waterloo battlefield, Lion’s Mound and the museum. Surreal to walk around the grounds and learn even more about the place and battle that ultimately ended Napoleon’s reign. The staff are all friendly and welcoming, the experience is value for money and it’s worth a trip!

Napoleon’s final defeat happened here, and the museum very closely captures what took place. Basic tour was great, with visit to the top. A lot of stairs, so if you are used to less walking those please consider. Additional extra there is also a Lego-exhibition for children or lego-enthusiasts. Reserve around 1,5h to check all.

If you love history this is a must see. Located a few miles outside the town if Waterloo, the battered is well preserved (except for the fact that they dug up a portion of it to build the Lion Mound). There's a nice modern museum and on-site restaurant (with bathrooms). A huge and detailed 3D model of the battlefield is in the museum and it is worth studying. Also, it's a good idea to read up on the battle and how it progressed before coming because they don't do a very through review of that. The battle was fought over a large area, so climbing the Lion mound is a good idea if you want to see the area in its entirety. The climb, however, is 225 steps at a fairly steep angle so if you're not in good shape or are afraid of heights be sure you're up to it.

Very informative. Loved the Lego exhibition of Napoleon's life. The Lions butte is a bit of a climb; 226 steps but the views at the top of the battlefield site are well worth it.

Lovely place to go on a day and family trip. The place is enormous. There is plenty of things to do. You could take the telepherique, eat in the top hill restaurant, go hiking, taking photos of Namur from the top, take the touristic train, and more. You can also park in different stages of the citadel and for free.

Quality family walk here. Views are stunning. We drove to the top to go to the kids play park which is about 10-15 mins away from the Citadelle, so that helped with children and walking up a hill. Worth the visit and the views. Totally recommend it.

Fantastic walking area in the former fort of Namur city. Entrance to the for and grounds is free, but the museum and underground tours require a fee. It's not really that far to climb, just steep. In return you get wonderful views of the city in the north bank. If you don't fee like climbing, get the Gondola. Tickets are one way or return. One way (up) is fine in my humble opinion.

Interesting. Great view over the city of Namur. We had our lunch on the grass. We did not have enough time to do the paid visits. They need to increase the number of parking spots. It was grossly inadequate and we were in late May. It would also be nice to have more historical exhibit available for free.

Very nice place. Can recommend the Totemus game. Fun and interactive way of discovering the citadelle and its history. The panorama has a very nice terrace, overlooking the Namur skyline.

I suggest taking the telepherique (gondola 🚠🚡) on the way up and walk down. There's a large building next to the gondolas with a lot of artwork in it. Some exhibits you have to pay for (the VR headsets for some of the artwork). I wish there was a tour because I had no idea what I was looking at or why the citadel was there. Plenty of places to eat (there's a sort of food court building) below the walking tunnel.

We bought the full pass online to see the visitor center, the underground galeries and the little train ride. Very complete visit, you leave the citadelle knowing a bit more about Namur and Belgium history. Great tour guide! (Unfortunally I dont recall his name)

You can walk up the steps to the top but there’s also a cable car which is worth taking. The view from the upper rampart is extensive, over the whole city of Dinant. The structure of the fort is interesting but the displays are lacking. There is also a cafe at the top where you can get minimal food & drink

Wonderful place to visit. Amazing views over the whole of Dinant, and across the Meuse valley. Nice cafe at the top with polite staff and nice food. Beer on tap! The Citadelle is really interesting, with polite staff, interactive history pads are available use and worth it. History covered through the ages. The World War exhibition is very thought provoking and tells a sad tale. Go up on the fenicular if possible, it’s worth the ride up and down. It only takes a few minutes with amazing views of the church below. Note: there is a section of the exhibition after the ‘bunkers’ that is very sensory challenging! There are not enough signs to warn people. I have no problems with balance, but found this area challenging. Fun and funny but high potential falls risk! Not even sure what it was about 🫣

One of the best small museums we've been to, with a beautiful panoramic view of the city of Dinant. The citadel museum uses simple but effective tablet technology to enhance visitors' understanding of the history of the citadel and city. The exhibit about WWI, using a blend of visual, auditory and sensory stimuli, was also very moving. Both kids and adults enjoyed the visit and the "treasure hunt". We chose the entrance ticket that included the short cruise on the Meuse river and it was very nice. Fyi, we went here on the 2nd week of November and the cable car was not available and it won't be available for a few months, so we assume the cable car doesn't run in fall/winter. The 408 stair steps with railing are doable for kids and adults with moderate physical ability. There's a nice playground in the courtyard at the very end of the self-guided tour. The trip to Dinant was impromptu but we're so glad we did it. It took avout 2 hours from Brussels to Dinant by train and bus.

it is a gorgeous town! visited in September. the price of 14 euros to visit the fortress and the cable car included is acceptable... everything is beautiful from the landscapes and what you can see in the fortress... I highly recommend it! I think it is among the most beautiful places in Belgium.

A small museum, but such a nice surprise! The history is explained in a really clear, easy-to-follow storyline, and the exhibitions are well done. It’s a quick visit, but you actually learn a lot and walk out feeling like you have just stepped out from the past.

The augmented reality tour, included in the €14 price, makes the visit more enjoyable, especially for children. On that day, the cable car was closed. To avoid climbing the 408 steps, you can access the citadel via the parking at 1 Chemin de la Citadelle, which is free and has plenty of spaces.

The citadel is located on top of a cliff which overlooks the city, making it a prime structure for defense. In the present day, this means it’s a great place to get some incredible views of Dinant. There is a museum inside which goes in depth on the significance of the citadel during war time. It was put together really well, the town has an amazing history. Also, there is a trolley you can ride up and down the cliffside! There is also a very steep set of stairs which will definitely test your stamina. Tickets were about 14€ for adults.

Visiting the Grottes de Han-sur-Lesse was absolutely magical. The caves are truly spectacular - huge chambers, beautiful stalactites and stalagmites, and impressive lighting that highlights all the natural formations. The guided tour (two languages to choose from: french or dutch) was well-organized and informative, with guides who were passionate and knowledgeable about the history and geology of the site. The little tram ride to the cave entrance was charming and added to the adventure. The sound and light show inside the largest chamber was a real highlight - so unique and atmospheric. The whole domain is perfect for a day out, especially if you combine it with a walk in the wildlife park. Facilities are clean, there are places to eat, relax and buy souvenirs. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the Ardennes area - this is a must-see in Belgium!

I had an amazing time at the Caves of Han! The underground views were stunning, and the tour was fun and easy to follow. It really felt like stepping into another world. Totally worth the visit!

It was a nice experience. You can visit the caves (about an hour with a light show) and do the safari where you can see the animals -more of them moving freely in the forest. The tours are not available in English but they try to assist you somehow. There's no parking area.

This place is awesome. Kids loved it. 10 and 13 years old. Good amount of walking and only French and Dutch speaking tour guide. Bring a sweatshirt and nonslip shoes.

Visited the caves today. Great visit, although I somehow expected a more spectacular cave. Guide was good, clear and patient. The light show was actually surprisingly awesome. If you catch this on video, the contrast is magnificent. We had an extra dimension because of Halloween, making the caves also to be inhibited by trolls, handing out mud. 😆

Not many English speakers venture here. The wildlife tour bus and caves tour is only in French and Dutch. Price is high, a combined ticket is 41.50. We’re here in March, it’s clearly low season and I feel they’re getting ready for peak; however nothing was clear to us, where to go and timings. We did a bus tour, which takes90 mins, which was alright but not worth the money. The walking route looked good with some great view points and almost a tree walk. This is split in two, 3km walk over the hill, then another 3km around the lake bed, which you can walk or wait for an electric bus. I think if you aim to come here for an afternoon walk whilst looking at random animals then you’ll enjoy it. Caves, there are two tours, one starts next to the cave where the river comes out the hill, the other longer tour starts in the park at the end of the tramline. We then did the long cave tour, it was cut short because of sediment build up in the cave apparently. They’re spectacular, especially the large caves at the end. So in summary, it’s a great place, but pricey I feel. Doing the walking tour of the zoo will likely take 3-4 hours with stops, the long tour the long cave tour then starts at the end of the animal walking tour. I’d recommend getting here early, do the walk, have a break then do the long cave tour if they’re timed properly. For us the long cave tour was only operating at1400, so it’s screws the zoo visit. The organisation of the place should be better, it’s an established attraction that will generate a lot of income. The tram s a unique experience and it’s great that it’s still maintained. The original signage from 1890 needs a good clean too. 3 stars because of the price and the stress of trying to work out where and when we needed to be. It clear not many English people reach here, so lack of English is to expected and adds to the sense of being on holiday I guess

The museum was great as expected but what actually suprised me was the quality of food in the bistro. I expected it to be just a regular bistro not very good food and really expensive, the expensive part was true but I was really suprised that the food was actually good i reccomend almost everything on the menu exept for the sandwitches whitch are as expected bland but other than that its really tasty. If you are hungry after going through the museum dont waste your time trying to find a restaurant just eat there trust me you wont regret it.

Great museum. Bring a sandwich and water because if you are interested in this topic, you will stay for over 3 hours. Excellent exhibition of vehicles, weapons and equipment, as well as other legacies. If you don't bring food, there are restaurants as well as a ww2 themed restaurant. The exhibition also includes films from the war period. A very comprehensive museum, it will not leave fans indifferent. It is not bad to buy tickets online, and there is also the possibility of buying tickets for 3 museums, which I recommend. Parking for a vehicle is 5 euros.

Absolutely worth visiting. Wish we had had more time to be able to take in the whole museum. We had limited time as this was an impromptu stop. Make sure you have several hours to be able to spend here.

Its good, some nice theatre settings. I was expecting more Bastogne/Foye specific, the details and notty gritty. It covers the whole war from 38-45 which is good if you don't know, then a secrion in the middle for the bulge.

Pretty pricy for a family of four, especially since there is very little for kids to do. There is mostly a lot of tales and films, less historical things to actually see and experience. I would have suggested kids under 12 yrs could enter for free. The additional parking fee is just over the top.

One of the best history museums I've ever experienced. Especially rooms with 10-15 minute sessions are amazing and getting better at every step. If you have time do not skip these rooms. With the same ticket you can also enter Bois Jacques, the woods and fox holes where an amazing episode of Band of Brothers covers.

Excellent castle to visit, very reasonably priced including the cafe. Although there were a reasonable number of visitors following the route around the inside of the castle, the visitor centre (located through the gift shop) was empty. This contains exhibits and a film presentation of the development of the castle over it's life span. The graphics on the film presentation are excellent. If you visit the castle, please don't miss out on the visitor centre.

I visited on Monday in the morning at 1030. Overall, it provided details regarding the history of the castle, but most required you to scan a QR code to read on your phone. An audio guide was available as well for €2 if needed. The castle was well preserved and provided a nice view of Vianden. A student ticket was €7. A visit of 1 hour should be sufficient, maximum 2 hours for a more detailed exploration of the castle and its history.

Loved the visit to the castle! It's been restored from ruins, so some might argue that it's "fake". But I enjoyed the experience nonetheless. There are plenty of rooms and things to see. Also excellent views of the small town of Vianden.

What a beautiful place. This is the heart of Vianden if you are in Luxembourg like in my case, is not far and you can find free public transportation There is a fee to enter the castle, not that expensive. Beautiful town (city) you will feel the German spirit and the mix between the medieval and more. Places to eat and cozy hotels are available everywhere, I love it

Vianden Castle in Luxembourg is one of those places that immediately feels like stepping into a storybook. Perched on a hill overlooking the quaint town of Vianden, the castle is beautifully restored and offers a wonderful mix of medieval atmosphere and panoramic views. Inside, the rooms are thoughtfully curated, giving a clear sense of how the fortress evolved over centuries. It’s large enough to explore for a couple of hours without feeling overwhelming, and the setting—surrounded by forested hills—makes it especially scenic. Whether you’re into history, architecture, or just want a stunning day trip, Vianden Castle is absolutely worth a visit.

€13 for adults or €7 for students. It’s a beautiful redeveloped castle. In my opinion the most picturesque in luxembourg. From the top you can overlook the quaint town and mountainous landscape, even seeing into germany. They also offer audio tours for €2 and there is a cafe where you can get sandwiches and drinks for not too badly priced. The gift shop does your classic souvenirs at about the same price as the other souvenir places. There is also a nice stamp you can use on your postcards. The castle is not too steep of a walk up to either so is accessible for all.

Good place to visit for those who love the history. Well restored castle with some entertainment. They have schedule for traditional dance, sword fighting and something else. Also they had a market with hand made staff right inside of the castle. There are some historical artefacts. Lots of stairs. However there is an elevator in the one of the towers.

Absolutely beautiful! We parked in a structure not too far from here near city center. Look in my reviews for the location. This beautiful display of ancient architecture was very impressive. There is a great place to take a picture in front of the gate towards the main road. We just stood in awe!

It's a strange thing to find such Intact and extensive Roman ruins so far north in Europe! In many ways this building is better preserved than some of the buildings in Rome itself. Very informative interpretation, reasonably priced and presenting good views of the city!

Excellent landmark to visit in the middle of the delightful town of Trier. Museum offers a unique insight into local Roman and political history. Limited public conveniences and places to rest do reduce overall enjoyment, however there's many café options and restaurants nearby.

Amazing site to see - not often you csn see Roman ruins from the 2nd century. Built from huge sandstone blocks, some weighing 6 tons - without modern machinery. The only one of the 4 original gates still standing, it was spared because it was used as a church. Massive structure in the center of town that should inspire awe. A remnant of a different age, when the Roman Empire ruled much of Europe.

I visited on a Tuesday late afternoon at around 1600. It is a very well preserved Roman building, where you could enter and walk up to the third floor of the building for a ticket of €5 (Student ticket). The explanation on the history of this building was very detailed and informative. 1 hour is well sufficient for a detailed visit for this landmark and learning its history. Overall, it is a fantastic experience to learn about the history of this area and I would definitely recommend people to visit.

These were Roman ruins in Germany. The are very well preserved to be 2,000 years old. A very nice little town

Very beautiful and crazy to believe this is one the few structures that remains within Roman time period. Trier was the capital of the Roman empire and you can easily imagine how everything was walking through those arches.

It ok, quite expensive for a few casements. Most the views are either obscured or the same as the last casement, you visited. I don’t think it’s worth €10 and adult. Don’t get me wrong, it’s an impressive feat of workmanship but you don’t really need to go inside to see them. Take photos from the top and the battlements on the bridge instead.

I visited Casemates du Bock and honestly, it was an amazing experience! The underground tunnels are full of history and mystery — it feels like stepping back in time. The view from the top is breathtaking, especially overlooking Luxembourg City. The place is well maintained and easy to explore. I’d really recommend visiting in the morning when it’s less crowded. Perfect spot for history lovers and photographers. Truly one of the most unique and memorable places in Luxembourg😍😍😍

Nice caves in the cliffs -There was only 1 person in line when i got here around 5 pm. -You get a map of the cave, but its pretty simple, you walk down looking at the rooms/lookouts, there is a few cannons, a well. -On the way out you cross the gate bridge on the inside level

I went on a Sunday at 1130 with their official guided tour which was hosted in English. The tour also offers other languages but do check and reserve your spot in advance as they do not open tours every hour/every day. The guided tour gave a lot of important information about the history of the Casemates, but also the city and urban planning in general. There were hardly any text printed out for visitors to read if you enter without any audio guide/tour guide. Therefore, remember to collect an pamphlet before entering the site if you want to know more about the history of the site. If you want to have more flexibility in exploring and taking photos at the site, I would suggest to explore on your own pace instead of joining the guided tour.

Going around the Casemates was amazing. Our tour guide was absolutely outstanding. Really do recommend paying the extra €8 and getting a tour because they are full of historic information about the history of the Casemates as well as some of the history about Luxembourg itself had a fantastic time took a roundabout about an hour and 15 minutes but it’s well worth a visit!

We were able to buy tickets when we arrived, which was convenient. Students can get tickets for €8 and I was not asked to show any ID. There is very minimal signage and none of it is in English, but they provide a pamphlet in multiple languages with helpful information. The views of the city are great and you get to see everything from a completely different angle than you would from the street. I am directionally challenged and got turned around a couple of times, but it was still easy to find the way out. I am 160 cm and did not feel like the space was small, but my friend who is 170 cm had to watch her head in a few spots. If you are taller than 180 cm, some areas may feel low and not very comfortable to move through. Overall, it was worth the visit.

A Weekend Well Spent in Luxembourg! Classmates Luxembourg was an absolute delight! We were lucky with the weather, which made our visit even better. We spent hours walking around, exploring the stunning views from various angles, and truly soaking in the beauty of the surroundings. We drove there by car and had no trouble finding parking—plenty of space, no waiting, and reasonably priced. The area is well-equipped with restaurants and food stalls, perfect for grabbing a quick bite on the go. Overall, it was a wonderful weekend escape. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy some breathtaking scenery!

Very nice zoo. A lot of different cats species, which i love. There are two shows, birds of prey and sea lions. Both are good, especially the birds of prey. Free parking is nice. The toilets could be better.

Super place, if weather is ok, and you have children - this is kind of place which you can spent whole day and it will not be enough! I was thinking what are the tickets for 2 days and yearly access to zoo?! And being there for 5h we saw 50% of all attractions prepared for visitors. Bad for Animals but perfect for visitors is that places for animals are not enormous- so you are able to see cats, wolfs, birds and any kind of animals. It’s a balance between safe place and attractions for visitors. HIGLY RECOMMENDED

We had a great experience visiting Zoo Amnéville! There are so many animals to see — lions, tigers, polar bears, rhinos, hippos, and many more. It was amazing to watch them all from such a close distance. This was the first time I’ve seen a lion so close, and it was truly an exciting experience for all of us. We really enjoyed our visit and appreciated how well the animals are cared for. It’s a wonderful place for families and animal lovers — highly recommended!

Amazing zoo, beautiful animals and very touchy. I was hugging a goat at one point lol. I would also touch more animals if I wasn't that scared lmao. 8/10 (wish it was less expensive, for two adults and one child we payed 100 euro, but if they need money to keep the animals healthy then I don't really mind)

The zoo was a delightful experience, offering a diverse array of animals, and our visit lasted approximately five hours. Regrettably, we were unable to observe some of the animals, as they were taking shelter. The animals appeared quite relaxed, possibly due to the warm weather. We were fortunate enough to catch a glimpse of the red panda. The Jurassic section proved to be particularly enjoyable for the children. While I cannot comment on the quality of the park's food, as we did not purchase any based on recommendations from friends and other reviews, it is worth noting that some areas of the park could be cleaner, and the presence of standing water in certain locations resulted in an unpleasant odor. Nevertheless, it is certainly a worthwhile destination if you happen to be in the vicinity.

I have an annual pass and it has been such fun to visit the zoo at different times of the year! It’s very kids friendly . Great place to take kids out, short walk or a full-day out. My baby likes observing all the animals. We watched polar bear Henk and Akoia fighting, a vulture trying to open our bag during his performance , kids feeding giraffes leaves, gorillas climbing up the to get bananas, penguins chasing a butterfly… many cherished moments. The staffs are always friendly. Hope there would be more different animations. Will renew the pass definitely.

Great park, a lot of animals. Make sure to take foods with you (especially if you have allergies) because food places closes at 14h. After that only icecream available. It’s better to start as early as possible, as we arrived at 12h at it was just enough time to see everything (we were 4 adults, so we were walking pretty fast everywhere). Animals look pretty looked after, in between areas there are enough benches, rubbish bins, toilets. Would come back again in future.

Must visit area if you're ever in Verdun. Douaumont is a well maintained fort knowing it's history. The route through the fort is confusing and the directions don't really help you. It causes you to get lost in the vast catacombs and slippery walkways. Try to follow the signs and you'll be alright but you will miss a lot of information.

Amazing tour. Well worth the 5 Euros. To get an audio guide it takes about an hour to go through. Has a lot of detail and very interesting stories. There are some blocked off sections of course but you can explore down pretty deep into it

Great experience by walking around the bunkers of the war time. Took around 30 minutes visiting the bunkers. The guided audio handset was useful. You can spend for time around the fort as well.

This fort, built in the 1890s, was the largest of a system of forts that were to protect Verdun against a German invasion. But it was poorly manned and taken by a small number of German troops without a fight in 1916. It became very useful to the Germans as a headquarters, supply center and a shelter just behind their front line. This loss may have cost France over 100,000 troops. In the next few years, France lost thousands of troops trying to recapture the fort. There are trenches all around and in the area of this fort. They are over grown but are easy to see and follow. It is hard to believe that 300,000 troops were lost during the battle of Verdun. There is plenty of parking and the entrance fee is very modest.

An excellent place to visit, the staff were very helpful and the audio guide explained the and significance of the fort, as well as detailing what it was like in the fort during combat. Well worth a visit

I climbed over the hills. I climbed into the fort. The entrance is by the South side, which was pounded by the French in their wrath. If you can climb over the fortress, and walk to the other side, you can see the way the Germans came in Feb 1916. This place is living history. Never forget what happened here. Important...bring a coat!

One of the most amazing cathedrals in France! When you stand in front of Metz Cathedral, you feel small and full of wonder. The golden stone shines in the sun, and the tall towers seem to touch the sky. Inside, the light is mystical. The stained-glass windows are not only from the Middle Ages but also modern, even by Chagall. They make the walls look alive with colors. It has the highest nave in France (41 meters), higher than Notre-Dame in Paris. It is called the “Lantern of God” because of more than 6,000 m² of stained glass.People say that at sunset, the golden stone creates an atmosphere that feels almost supernatural. This place is not just history. It is an experience. If you visit Metz, you cannot miss it.

Walking into Metz Cathedral - if you’re not exactly used to walking into thousand year old cathedrals - will leave you speechless, overwhelmed, and possibly teary eyed. It’s an astonishing edifice and on a sunny day the interior dances and glimmers with light and colour from the 1000s of panes of glass. You also have to appreciate and respect that this building is in active and daily use, so please - please - remain silent as you slowly wander the perimeter to marvel at the wonder of just how this building came to be, and the architectural miracle it is.

We visited the Metz Cathedral with a specific goal — to see the stained glass windows created by Marc Chagall, since Chagall was our compatriot, also from Belarus. The cathedral itself is magnificent, and the stained glass windows are absolutely mesmerizing. The light filtering through the colorful glass creates a magical effect — the patterns and colors evoke feelings that are simply beyond words. We couldn’t imagine anything that could make the experience even better, but while we were there, an organ concert began, and it turned the visit into something truly unforgettable. The combination of the music, the stained glass, and the atmosphere was enchanting. Since it all happened during the Christmas markets and holiday season, it became one of the most beautiful and awe-inspiring experiences we’ve ever had.

Incredible cathedral in size, artistry, detail, and use of colors! Huge volume of space under immensely high ceilings and arches! Photos and video really don't do it justice.. The audio echoes and booms here. The richness of the murals, paintings, stained glass, and sculptures are mind-blowing! Definitely a must-see! No entrance fee, though parking is not free and space is limited. Public restrooms are across the street and are free, though not very clean; while there are urinals, there are no toilets, just holes in the ground.

It is very beautiful from the outside, but much more beautiful inside! This is one of the tallest, most beautiful and majestic cathedrals I have ever seen. If not the most! Its stained glass windows are simply incomparable. In such a place you feel some elusive magic, especially with the sounds of the organ.

Really loved it. A mix of French and Polish baroque. The place and the surrounding garden was really friendly. We saw a dancefloor in the middle of the gardens, behind a really nice cafe. All the locals young and old swinging to the music. Magical.

I visited Place Stanislas today and was completely charmed. The golden gates, elegant facades, and lively atmosphere made it feel like walking through a fairytale from the old times. It felt peaceful and inviting I took a break by the Neptune fountain, enjoying the breeze and the sound of water — such a calming moment in the middle of the city. This place isn’t just beautiful; it has soul. I’m truly grateful I got to experience it.

This is an extraordinarily magical place at night and a must-see during the day! Baroque styles Gates and decorations on the buildings make this one of my favorite spots in Nancy! Fun fact: this place, the place de la Carrière and the place d'Alliance are part of the World Heritage Site 💯

Absolutely stunning square and a true gem of Nancy. Place Stanislas is beautifully designed, with elegant 18th-century buildings and golden gates that shine in the sunlight. The atmosphere is lively during the day with cafés and people enjoying the space, and at night the light show on the buildings is magical. A perfect place to stroll, relax, or take photos. Definitely a must-see if you’re visiting Nancy

Cool and iconic in Dijon... easy to find. It's nice to find it without Google maps to make it for Cool... just follow the signs on the street floor.

A modern old town, just follow the golden arrows for sightseeing. The shops are neat and orderly. I saw people slipping after the rain because the floor is slippery. It is recommended to wear shoes a good shoes. There is a restaurant that supports Down syndrome. I recommend you try it.

Palm-sized and polished by countless hands, the little owl carved into Notre-Dame’s wall turns a side lane into a ritual. Touch with your left hand and make a wish; the brass pavement plate with the owl logo marks the stop and small arrows carry you along Dijon’s Parcours de la Chouette. This is the route’s namesake and most photographed moment: modest stone, big civic idea. I like how the trail knits small details to major landmarks - marker, brief engagement, onward wayfinding - so one carving speaks to grander sites across the old town.

Super nice tour especially for kids which are keen on discovering the next owl of Dijon on the way. All nice attractions can be seen on this journey.

Great mid evil city with not a lot of tourists. Great wines from around the region, many fine restaurants and a truly great French market place

Loved randomly following footpath markers to discover iconic landmarks in Dijon. You can buy a €4 map from the tourist office and do it in an organized manner or just set yourself a challenge to see how many you can find on your travels.

I like it - brings good luck if you place your right hand on it :) A tip from a local: Once there, make sure to check the rooftop of the building to the right of the owl, you'll find beautiful owl and cat.. keeping an eye on the city ;) (photo below)

Really loved the audio guide that gave great information but was entertaining the way it is done. Took us about an hour and a half to go through and a great picture of the non wine history in Beaune. Especially liked the pharmacie room and the presentation of every day life in those times.

This was definitely the highlight of our visit in Beaune. The building used to be a hospital for poor people and is now very well restored. Entrance fee is Euro 12 - you can book online or pay at the spot. The roof and the building itself are very beautiful but they cannot be seen from outside. You need to purchase a ticket. I am glad we did.

Truly beautiful: the roof, courtyard, musuem displays, the numerous works of art. Very well curated, easy to understand the history and acts of charity carried out here. Great place to learn about how medicine was practices since the 15th century. Well restored and well presented. Their audio guide is an excellent teaching and learning tool, especially the “if you would like to learn more” green button.

Step back in time of old style hospital. Magnificent building with a tiled roof you can see best from inside the large courtyard. Well worth the entry fee. Booklet or headphones self audio tour are included with ticket price.

Working for a Hospice charity, I enjoyed seeing the granddad of Hospices in Beaune. This town was caring for the vulnerable from before my country was even discovered. Amazing tour and worth the ticket price to enter.

A must have seen in Beaune. Yes the roof is great. But for me the history of the very old hospital and its foundation fascinates me more. You get an audioguide, which I highly recommand. The tour is about 1 to 1,5 hours. A lot old hospital furnitures and equipment. Entrance was 12€, which is ok for such an historic place!

We had a great time there with our son of 6 years old. It's not too big, but still many animals to spot! Besides animals, there are also many attractions for the little ones! We had a great day.

Great day trip for all especially in July and August when the water park is open. New slides in the pool are excellent for kids under 7 and new games are fun. I highly recommend it.

More for children, not really for the animals We saw a zookeeper use a fire extinguisher on monkeys from the side to keep them appart We had to pay for the waterpark too, eventhough we did not want to use it. It was all in the price and no other options were available, it was misleading. But he parking is free.

I visited Touroparc Zoo a couple of weeks ago to celebrate my birthday, and I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had! What made this experience so special was how hands-on it was. Unlike other soigneur experiences where you barely get to interact with the animals, Christophe made sure we were involved and engaged the whole way through. You can tell he genuinely cares for the all the reptiles and takes great pride in sharing that with others. We had the chance to see so many incredible species up close, and he gave us a fascinating look into what it’s really like to work behind the scenes at a zoo. Thank you, Christophe, for making my birthday so memorable. Your enthusiasm made the visit come alive! Highly recommend this experience to anyone, whether you're an animal lover or just curious. Truly a 10/10!

Very! nice park but absolutely ridiculous how weird they are about the height in the attractions, when accompanied by an adult. I was not allowed to drive the horses attraction with my baby who really got to love this attraction in Parc le pal. We stood 15 minutes in the burning sun. When it was our turn he pointed at the sign saying my baby should be 90cm. At Parc le pal we did this attraction multiple times without an issue. This ruined the moment. All other safe attractions you can do as parent with your kid, is not allowed, really frustrating. The wild water attraction or the mono rail are allowed :/ Please check your height restrictions... Everything else is really nice, but above gave everything a bad taste.

We visited on a cooler weekday in September and the place was very quiet which was perfect for us to see all the animals It's clear the animals are well cared for and healthy The rides and water park looked good but they were not available this late in the season

The VIP and Soigneur experiences are totally worth it. We have done the VIP visit twice and the both times was super amazing. Highly recommended. We chose to do the Soigneur experience in the reptile house and we're extremely happy with our choice. It was very very interactive and we learned so many interesting facts from Christoph. Thanks so much for the amazing experience with Curu, the snakes, lizards, iguana, crocodiles, and turtles!

The food is realy horrible. Vegetables taste bad, nearly pureed. Pasta was hard (burned) burgers were dry, hardly any Meat on them and french Fries are extra. Le comptoir des colibris is as bad as the park is good. Bring your own food and enjoy the beautifull park

Generally a beautiful park, very green and nicely designed when it comes down to aesthetics and topics. Parking was easy and well managed. Loads of staff trying to fill the parking lot in a way that makes sense, friendly and clear in their expressions. As with any park, there is a lot of walking involved and especially for small kids you'll need to be prepared to bring a pushchair. The toilets were absolutely yucky. I was only in the men's toilets, but it smells of wee everywhere, you're literally walking in it, the whole floor is covered in it. I know men can be yuk but some of those toilet I really wouldn't be surprised if they haven't been cleaned in a while or are leaking. I have never seen so much dodgy liquid on the floor. It really reeked. Some toilets have massive queues, not just the ladies', also the men's toilets. What surprised me though is, that our friends' daughters tried to get to the ladies and were trying to find a free cubical and three (!!!) ladies were so rude and pushed them out of the way. (which would be another downside, in some toilets you can literally see the cubical doors when you stand on the path). Shops/coffee and food stalls are understaffed. Particularly during high traffic periods. I.e. there was a bird show to begin in the arena and there was a massive (seriously, it was huge) queue trying to get in. There was a food/coffee stall with two windows, only one window was open. One lady was working and the first thing she said was, that she had no coffee as they ran out. When the show ended, the queue at that shop was huge, by then the second shopkeeper didn't make much of a difference. Same with the bbq restaurant we got there just before the lunch storm hit and we already had to wait about 20min to get our order and the queue started just behind the door (so really not long). By the time we finished and walked out, the queue was around the corner alongside the building, who knows how long they had to wait. One till. Having two people using the same cash machine is not really efficient. They'd need at least 3, then the queue started on the pick-up side, because the chicken needed longer cooking times. So all in all not very efficient. Two coffee machines (you get a coin at the till) but one machine had an error message in French (needed maintenance, but was still working), that many people couldn't read nor knew how to get rid of the error message. So people started queue on the other coffee machine. A few other food stalls were closed, it was a hot day, I think about 34°C. Hardly any shade anywhere. So in order to get some drinks, a couple of grown-ups had to walk through half the park to get something for the rest of the group, as we tried to find shade with the little kids. If you are not planning the visit ahead, try to avoid too sunny days. Bird show was OK. A bit disappointing that they have so much staff in that arena but then decide to just play a boring recording and then let the birds fly. Other parks actually talk about the birds and give facts about the specific birds on display, also are interactive with the crowd. Here you just sit down, a tape plays, trainers let the birds fly over your head, then they sit down in the middle of the arena and all birds walk out like in a circus good-bye. Not impressed. The range of animals is quite impressive. And beautiful birds, that seem to be kept in good conditions and clean. Butterfly house, and there was a penguin/fish area, which unfortunately was shut down and we couldn't find access to the Australian area with the kangaroos which our daughters desperately wanted to see. The only path we could find to go there seemed to be closed with a gate but no further information. It's also advisable to follow a set path. Going to see what interest you may be too chaotic and it's easy to get lost in the park. Also walking everything multiple times is suboptimal. Oh one more thing... to get out of the park: ONE (!!!) turnstile. Why they didn't just open the bloody gate is beyond me. We had to QUEUE (!!!) to leave the park. Ridiculous.

Good place to spend the day with the family. Make sure to buy your ticket ahead of time or you may be waiting in line for a long time. They are not very organized. The place is in need of renovations, bathrooms are old, dirty.

Our 3rd visit to this park. We love it. Our kids love it. My folks love it. Always something new to see. Always clean. The birds and other animals seem happy and well cared for. Saw one of the shows this time - for the first time - and it was brilliant. We will be going again on our next trip to the area.

Wonderful experience! The bird park is quite good, clean, safe for kids! I recommend. We even bought annual card for 45 euros.
