Come to this museum before heading to the park! You'll get to see scale models, plaster replicas, and learn about Gustav Vigeland's process on his sculptures. It is much more fascinating to see about his works and what went into them before seeing the larger than life sculptures in the park. The Museum has all original works of Vigeland made from plaster, bronze, granite, marble, and including sketches. Scale models of what the park, and sculptures placements should have been. Worth the entry, and free with the Oslo Pass!

Fascinating museum containing the largest collection from Norway’s finest sculptor. Really worth a visit especially if you are intending on visiting the sculpture park as many of the designs used there can be seen throughout the development stage. Very interesting to see the development and maturing of vigeland’s work whilst his motifs and themes remained the same throughout !

I have never heard about Gustav Vigeland before my trip to Oslo, and I was really impressed. This museum is completely dedicated to this splendid artist. Vigeland Park, which is very close to museum, is the cornerstone of the whole life of sculptor. So if you have seen the park, which is totally free, you have seen almost all you can look at in this museum. But there are more works there, which are not related to park, some pieces of information. Though this all is pretty expensive if you visit this museum without Oslo Pass.

Entrance is included with the Oslo pass. We visited after visiting the park and it was interesting to get the story behind how the park happened and learning about Vigeland's process and history. Not a lot of people here when we visited. The museum is a big square, so you can just follow it around in a loop, and it's all one level. We spent about 45 minutes here.

I visited the Vigilendo Sculpture Park for the first time 24 years ago. It is a place worth visiting twice in a lifetime: in youth and in adulthood. It is also worth visiting the Vigilend Museum, the former workshop of the artist, where the sculptures were born, located next to the park, once in a lifetime. A great idea in the museum was a contemporary art hall with changing exhibitions. A special experience was a guided tour of the sculptor's living quarters and a visit to the mausoleum, which we booked spontaneously.

I found the Vigeland Museum quite interesting. The sculptures are truly impressive and beautifully crafted, offering a unique glimpse into Gustav Vigeland's artistic vision. I spent about an hour exploring the exhibits, and it was a captivating experience.

What a great museum! Only a 30 min train ride from the main station in Copenhagen. The boats themselves, the supporting educational material, and the boatyard are all worth the visit. They even had great food. 🙌👏

Wow, this museum was awe-inspiring! The building itself is not very large, but the artifacts inside really do a great job of using the available space. The Viking ships themselves have been preserved very well. The other artifacts expand on the historical knowledge and understanding of the time. The Viking Ship Museum is a must see if you are in the area!

Great place with tons of history on display. Great findings from an era long gone. Ferry ride is lively also. You’ll need a bit more than an hour to wonder around. One of the most interesting things to do while in Oslo.

The Viking Ship Museum was amazing. Three 9th century wooden boats - it’s amazing they have survived! I loved every minute I had here, and got some amazing videos as souvenirs. I learned a lot about the Vikings and consider this museum a highlight of my trip Oslo.

Incredibly serene and beautiful. The ships are restored and laid out as though they sailed in. The exhibits are well organised and the information is very comprehensive. For me the projected video of the Viking raid and ship burial is jaw dropping. Such an incredible layout and building. Very much recommended for anyone with an interest in Viking history.

The Fram Museum was a great surprise. The ship itself is the main attraction and you can actually walk on board and get a sense of how tight things were during the polar expeditions. There’s a good mix of history and hands-on displays, so it never gets boring. The lighting and sound effects inside help set the atmosphere without feeling like a theme park. It’s both interesting and easy to follow even if you’re not a big history person. Worth the stop for sure.

The Fram Museum is a fantastic museum with a lot to offer. It takes you on a complete journey of the most thrilling of the Arctic expeditions of the 19th and 20th centuries. Being able to board the Fram is incredible and immersive - with audio and visual FX used to try and show you the surroundings that you would see if you were on this ship. One problem I had with this museum is it almost has too much information at your disposal. I found that going around, I was bombarded with different aspects of the history but the structure of the museum meant that I was confused as to where I was at in the timeline or why things had happened. I think it would be great if the museum was better laid out, maybe by starting by first introducing where the quest for exploring the Arctic came from and the people and expeditions that came before the Fram. Now this information actually does exist, but it exists in the tunnel that you find on the left as you enter, but I didn’t go down this path until after visiting the Fram. It would’ve been great to have this context before being thrown into the Fram expedition immediately. Another thing is that the first thing I started reading is about the boat Polar Station going to the Arctic soon… this didn’t feel as organised as it could be to me. It’s a weird thing to say that there’s too much information here, but it was difficult to retain information and consider it throughout the whole exhibition when it wasn’t laid out in a chronological way. Aside from this, the museum is really incredible. I recommend this for people of all ages!

Great museum. The main attraction is Amundsen's polar ship, the Fram. The ship is beautifully presented and can be viewed both inside and out. The rooms below deck are particularly impressive. Lots of information boards and films explain all the details of the expeditions. Absolutely fascinating and, for me, one of the best museums in the world.

Amazing visit, we just wanted to find a place for our visit in Oslo, never expected the museum. It turned out the museum was amazing and the polar expedition related story and knowledge totally grabbed our eyes! We enjoyed the time and had a lot of fun there.

This was a really interesting find. We hadn't planned it but found it when we went on the Hop on Hop off bus. Really interesting and different. Knew very little about Artic or Antarctic exploring and this museum just presented it all so well. Really very interesting.

We enjoyed the flight simmulator a lot. It was something different. Great to see the inside of ship and how things used to look and work. History is very interesting. Would recommend visiting this museum

Incredible! You can certainly get a good feel for everything about the Polar explorations and exploits if you only have a few hours. However for a comprehensive learning experience you can spend all day. My last visit was just the Fram and Kon Tiki, 6.5 hours total.

Where the North Sea meets the Baltic Unless you use the sand train it's a4km walk both ways but worth it, particularly if the tide is out

Baltic Sea on one side, North Sea on the other. How cool is that? Beware of the paid parking. It tales approx. 15-20 minutes to get to the tip of the shore, which is usually pretty crowded. There are also a couple of bunkers on the way. Highly recommended.

It was an amazing experience and quite memorable. I visited twice in two days both in the sunlight and rain. I really enjoyed by walking for one hour from the hotel to reach here and got the opportunity to explore the nature and landscape. Stunning view of grenen where the two seas meet each other.

Absolutely stunning place!! North tip of Denamrk where two seas - Skaggerak (North sea) and kattegat sea meet. It’s a good 15 10 mins from the parking area to get to the tip. We got to see a seal basking in the sun.

Stunning view where North Sea and Baltic Sea (Kattegat) meets- the northern tip of Denmark . On a clear day you could distinguish between the two different see with different colour of water- once in a lifetime experience! If you are lucky, you can also spot seals are laying around the sands. In this shallow reef, many bunkers (made by Germany during WW2) are in sight. There’s also bunker museum nearby. The walk to the tip where the two seas meet from the parking lot, is about 40 minutes hard walk in moving sand and strong wind. There’s a bus available : sandormen for elderly people/people with knee/leg problems.

Beautiful clean beach which is great for a walk and look at some sea creatures like jelly fish and star fish. Apart from that, not much to do here since you are prohibited from bathing due to currents and it's too windy and cold to just lie and enjoy the sun. NOTE: There is no public transport to get here from skagen train station, so you will either have to walk, rent a cycle or take a very expensive taxi.

Amazing views! 100% recommended as a life experience you'll never forget. There are hotels and restaurants in skagen, and a bus called sandormen, that can give you a lift over to the beach and back to the bus station, for about 35 kr. each person.

Overall, decent experience, but after visiting a few places like this around Europe it is unfortunately average. Animals are few and between, some tanks are dirty and with a lot of green algae. My child had a decent time but as a adult you would expect a little bit more.

Such an amazing place! A must visit if you go to Gothenburg There is something for everyone here- space,dinosaurs, science, aquarium, rainforest, kids place area. There is a cafe and restaurant on site too, we went to the cafe and the food was lovely we got a grilled cheese and a cookie. The place itself is fantastic, there is so many opportunities to learn things and to get involved in activities. It truly is such a lovely place that you can spend hours in! Would definitely recommend!!!

Great experience! I actually went twice during my visit to Gothenburg. I went by myself at first and spend 1.5 hours there, enjoyed it so much that I went again with my partner for another hour. So much to see and enjoy for all ages. Definitely recommend visiting. It was a bit busy when I went during the day because there were some school classes also there (a lot of kids). The second time I went an hour before closing and it was quieter then.

Was a bit disappointed, there were a lot of aquariums or displays « in construction » or empty. The aquarium side seemed to be a bit abandoned. There was still a lot of information given by the posters. The rainforest was very nice, with birds flying freely in the space. Again, many things were just empty. It is nice that you have other exhibitions includes with you entry (body, space, data). It’s very kids oriented. Normally I enjoy aquariums as much as kids, but for this one I should’ve skipped it, not enough fishes (no jelly fish for example, very few mantras, lack of fish in the big fish tunnel). Good thing is after 16:30 it’s only 200kr!

It's nicely designed & well made, we loved it! -1⭐️ because they (currently?) have a massive spider problem! Codwebs are EVERYWHERE & you genuinely have to be careful from spiders hanging from ceilings (we had to duck under 3 & probably still disturbed some nets) It therefore looks a little badly taken care of because of that.. So be warned it you suffer from Arachnophobia haha

A full day of fun, learning, and exploring nature! Universeum is great for kids and families. Don’t miss the incredible Wisdome experience; the 3D universe and T.Rex shows were highlights. Be sure to ask for the English recorded machine if needed. The Aquarium and reptiles section was very good. While the Rainforest was good, we noticed many animals were missing and could only spot flamingos. Despite the missing rainforest residents, the overall experience was excellent and highly recommended.

Honestly, it's a bit for kids but me and two other 40 year old men still enjoyed it. Go in, go to the elevators at the back and go to floor 7. We went in after 3pm so it was cheaper. From there there's a series of ramps and you can basically walk down through the whole building. Floor to ceiling fish tanks, reptile area, space and science area with a cloud chamber that was cool. Little screen with some cool videos. Then you can go through the hot house floors, nipping out through the airlocks to checkout the floors adjacent on your way down as it's very humid in there, breaks recommended. For us it filled a few hours and one of us needs a walking stick so highly recommend that top down route for that reason.

Kronborg Castle is one of the most impressive and atmospheric places I visited in Denmark. Overlooking the Øresund Strait, this UNESCO World Heritage site is not only visually stunning, but also packed with history and character. Known worldwide as “Hamlet’s Castle,” it fully lives up to its fame. The rooms and royal chambers are beautifully preserved, giving you a real sense of the grandeur of the Danish monarchy in the Renaissance era. But the highlight for me was exploring the dark, eerie casemates — the old military barracks beneath the castle. Walking through those damp, stone tunnels really brings the past to life. You can almost feel the presence of the soldiers who once took shelter there. And then there's Holger Danske, the legendary statue deep in the basement. According to Danish folklore, this mythical warrior sleeps under Kronborg Castle and will rise to defend Denmark in her time of need. Seeing the statue in the dim light down there added a magical, almost mythological touch to the whole experience. If you're into history, legends, or just want to explore a magnificent fortress with great views and an unforgettable atmosphere, Kronborg is absolutely worth the visit. Take your time — there’s a lot to discover.

Learned a lot about Danish history at Kronborg Castle — magnificent architecture and rich stories of kings and battles. The tower visit is absolutely worthwhile, offering stunning views over Helsingør and across to Sweden. A must-see for anyone interested in history, culture, and royal heritage.

What an experience! One of the most interesting castle I have ever visited. There many things to see during your visit there make sure to be on time so you don't miss anything. The underneath area was very spooky and adventurous!

Visiting Kronborg Castle was such a wonderful way to start our week in Denmark; we went on a Monday (during shoulder season) and it set the tone beautifully for our week ahead. The castle is located in the quaint town of Helsingør, about 45 minutes by train from central Copenhagen. The ride is comfortable and scenic, and from the station it’s a short walk into town and up to the castle grounds. We paid about 145 DKK for adult entry, students 125 DKK, and children under 18 were free. Kronborg dates back to the early 1420s when a fortress first stood here; later in the 16th century King Frederick II transformed it into the grand Renaissance castle you see today. The setting is dramatic: right at the narrowest point of the Øresund Strait, looking across toward Sweden, which explains its historic importance. The connection to William Shakespeare’s Hamlet adds a layer of legend and story: this very site inspired the “Elsinore” of the play. “To be, or not to be” seems almost to float in the air when you walk the corridors. We spent a few hours exploring and I’m so glad we didn’t rush; We enjoyed the whole castle, then ventured down into the crypts beneath the castle which felt a bit eerie, then examined the great halls, ramparts, the chapel and the sweeping views over the water. There’s a nice café inside and the gift shop nearby is well worth a browse and I found some beautiful keepsakes to take home. The town of Helsingør is charming, with historic buildings, small cafés and the sea at its doorstep; combining lunch in the town centre with our castle visit made for a really nice day out of the city. One important note: accessibility is limited; the castle has many stairs and no elevator, so it’s not ideal for wheelchairs. Opening hours when we visited were Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 until 16:00 in the off-peak season; the castle is closed on Mondays. During spring and summer months the hours are extended and on major holidays special times apply, so it’s worth checking ahead. Summer weekends in particular can get busier; if you prefer quieter exploring aim for a weekday morning. If you’re in Copenhagen and craving a day trip with history, drama and stunning scenery, I highly recommend Kronborg Castle.

Few things you can say about Kronborg Castle other than incredible. There’s so much to see, experience, and learn here — the amount of history within these walls is astounding. The preservation work is truly impressive, allowing visitors to step back in time and appreciate this remarkable piece of Denmark’s heritage. I had an amazing time touring the castle and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

A magical place full of history! Kronborg Castle is truly impressive - elegant, mysterious, and full of stories. The view of the sea is breathtaking, and it's easy to imagine Shakespeare's Hamlet walking through the halls. Beautiful architecture, calm atmosphere, and great exhibitions. Just make sure to dress warmly - it can be quite windy there, even in spring!

Kronborg is wonderful and easy day trip from Copenhagen on the train. It exceeded all expectations. The castle is gorgeous. The exhibits are fantastically interactive and engaging. The Hamlet characters coming to life was a highlight. The views of the sea are incredible. Also, great town to explore ..

The most beautiful castle i have ever seen, no doubt. We got lucky as well to be able to hear the oldest working organ being played, amazing spectacle, i recommend planning visit according to the schedule of this performance. Wherever you look in this castle there is something beautiful to see. Really amazing and there is a massive beautiful park as well with small coffee shop to sit down, relax and enjoy the view.

Frederiksborg Castle is a grand and beautiful castle located about an hour from Copenhagen 🇩🇰. You can take a train to Hillerød Station, and from there it’s an easy 1 km walk to the castle 🚶‍♂️. Entry fee is 110 DKK per person, and the castle is surrounded by stunning gardens and a peaceful lake that make the whole place truly picturesque 🌿🏰. When we visited, some parts were under renovation, and the museum inside didn’t have much that was interactive. Still, the architecture and royal atmosphere make it a pleasant visit, especially if you love history and photography 📸. If you’re short on time, we’d recommend visiting Kronborg and Rosenborg first, and then Frederiksborg — in that order ⏱️. Each has its own charm, but Kronborg and Rosenborg felt more engaging overall ✨.

Nice place to visit if you are staying in Copenhagen and have half a day extra time! The castle is surrounded by a very beautiful park and a nice lake. The museum also worth visiting, if you are interested in danish history!

Why visit? ✅ If limited on time, tour the grounds for free (no cost). ✅ Regarding the grounds, there are so many different views to enjoy while walking the property: gardens, waterfronts, bridges, courtyards, etc. ✅ The castle interior (admission required) is loaded with artwork, antiques, and rooms that stun with both size and intricate detail. Why skip? Honestly, I can’t think of any reason. If limited on time, at least walk to the grounds to get a good look. If spending a day in town, this is THE attraction to visit.

This is a lovely easy day trip out of Copenhagen. A single 40 minute ride on the E train to Hillerød station then a 15 minute walk or short bus ride to the castle. The castle is huge and rarely crowded, but the vast rooms, artwork, and gardens are gorgeous. Check out the tour times before you visit - we were lucky to arrive just in time for the English language tour and it was superb. The castle is an easy walk from town, but there’s also a small boat which does a lap of the lake and for a small fee takes you to the garden and the far side of the castle.

We knew this place was one of those 'must see' locations on the island of Sjælland and I vaguely remembered going there when I was 12, entry is also included within the Copenhagen Card. We had actually spent the entire day in Copenhagen the day previously and so had always planned to head north the following morning. We were back at Tivoli by the afternoon so definitely recommend this as a day if you've the stamina. Very impressive castle and worth the visit. It would probably have been better a few weeks later when the wee boat on the Slotssøen was running again (too early in the season) but then I imagine you'd want more than just a morning in the area when the weather is warmer too. The bonus was that it was really quiet - you'll see from the photos we were often the only family in these huge and spectacular rooms.

At the Viking Ship Museum in Roskilde, you’ll see the real Viking history — quite literally in pieces. The remains of five original Viking ships are displayed here, each with its own story of sea voyages, trade, and warfare. There are guided tours and activities running throughout the day, so it’s worth checking the schedule when you arrive. The guide shares the fascinating history behind the five ships that were discovered just a stone’s throw from here, in Roskilde Fjord. For those feeling hands-on, there’s a small workshop where you can try building your own miniature Viking ship. The kids especially loved hammering and sawing away. I had signed up for the sailing tour, where you get to sail on a Viking ship and even help raise the sail as part of the crew. Unfortunately, only four of us showed up out of the ten tickets sold — the rain kept the rest away. Without enough people for the weight balance, the trip had to be cancelled. Safe to say, I was pretty disappointed — it’s not every day you get to sail like a Viking. There’s also a restaurant by the museum. I tried the Viking platter — decent, but nothing to shout about.

Not far from the Copenhagen, about 30 mins train ride. Just a reminder, you have to walk about 30-40 mins from Roskilde Station to the Viking Museum. Arrived at the Roskilde Viking Ship Museum around mid morning. There are two areas: first inside the agreat Hall, you'll see the five ancient Skuldelev ships in somewhat in skeletons forms. You'll feel a quiet awe just looking at their thousand-year-old remains. Second part is the outside where you'll see a beautiful place view with tons of boats. Tons of things to do outside, you can watch boatbuilders meticulously crafting replica ships in the boatyard. You can also sail out on the fjord in one of the reconstructed longships, sadly no more available slots for the day. If you have the budget and you'd like to fully experience, I suggest to pre book before going. Since we went during summer (end of August) you are allowed to climb aboard other replicas at the harbor, even try on Viking clothes. Overall it's a full experience.

One of the most important attractions and museums during the visit to Copenhagen (40minutes by train). Staff are so welcoming with smile. Cinematography short movie in many languages will help a lot to understand the museum. The workshops outside will show you how the V-boats were built. Don’t miss it

A world-class and unique experience which is a must-visit if you're coming to Copenhagen as it's brilliant and only a 30-minute ride on the train (which is cheap and very frequent). See several recovered Viking long ships, discover about the different types and how they were built and used and then see expert craftspeople making replicas for experimental archaeology - sailing them to see how the Vikings would have used them. You can also become part of a crew in a small longboat close to the centre. And kids can design and make their own boat in wood with hand tools. Free tours in Danish and English by students are good and friendly. The venue hosts special exhibitions downstairs in the main hall. Several places to eat and drink on-site. Medium-size car park. If walking from the town train station, it's a pleasant and mostly flat walk. The shop has lots of Danish culture things to buy as well as stuff related to the Vikings. All staff friendly and helpful.

This museum is an incredible place filled with authentic Viking ships, fascinating artifacts, and tons of interesting facts about the Vikings. Both children and adults will find plenty to explore and enjoy. During my visit, there was a blacksmith workshop where a skilled craftsman demonstrated traditional forging techniques. There was also a shipbuilding area where craftsmen were using hand tools to build seaworthy Viking ships — a truly impressive sight. For kids, there’s a small hands-on workshop where they can build their own miniature ships from scrap wood and test them in a water pool. There’s also a replica of a Viking household, complete with Viking clothing you can try on and a play area for children. The museum also has an excellent restaurant with delicious food and a cozy atmosphere. And best of all — if the weather is good, you can join the crew of a real Viking ship replica and sail out to sea. An unforgettable experience!

I was a bit sceptical at first when i read its about one Viking boat restored. But there are 5 of them, and , whats more they have been fully rebuilt and are available even to step-in at the port next to the museum ! I learnt a lot from the short film in the museum. Go to the boat workshop at the port - they are just building a new boat, using old traditional tools, and you can chat with craftsmen. It was Worth a visit/trip from Copenhagen.

Roskilde Viking ship museum is a fantastic place. The museum has the excavated remains of Viking vessels, with activities for kids. Outside are reconstructed vessels and workshops where they are experimentally building new Viking vessels. Good facilities and cafes, free entry with a Copenhagen card and easily signposted from Roskilde train station. Well worth a visit.

Visiting the Little Mermaid statue in Copenhagen was a memorable experience. The sculpture itself is smaller than I expected, but it’s beautifully placed by the water and has a certain quiet charm. The surroundings are peaceful, with lovely views across the harbor, and it’s a nice spot for a walk. Even though it can get a bit crowded with tourists, it still feels special to see such an iconic landmark in person. A must-visit if you’re exploring Copenhagen!

The Little Mermaid – A Symbol of Copenhagen We visited the famous Little Mermaid statue, and while the statue itself is quite small, it’s definitely worth the visit. Nestled along the waterfront, the surroundings are absolutely beautiful, offering peaceful views and a scenic walk leading up to the site. The walk itself is part of the experience – calm, relaxing, and filled with lovely views of the harbour. Do keep in mind that it’s a popular attraction, so it can get quite crowded. If you're hoping for a quieter moment, consider visiting early in the morning or later in the evening. A charming and iconic stop on any Copenhagen itinerary.

Copenhagen in the Spring is a nice, relatively quiet port with mostly the usual features of European / Scandinavian ports. The only unique attraction is The Little Mermaid statue, small but with it's own history of abductions, kidnapping and beheadings. If you're lucky your guide will give you the local story of the Little Mermaid which is more of a Danish Tragedy, so beware of little ears who are enchanted by the Disney version. It isn't magical but it's interesting lore. Here are a few other shots of the city as there are ample and better pictures of the Mermaid than I could get under the lighting conditions.

The Little Mermaid bronze statue, located in Copenhagen, sits on a granite rock, on the water side of langeline promenade. It is 4.1 ft tall and weighs 175 kgs. The Statue was based on the fairy tale of Hans Christian Anderson and was unveiled to the public in 1913. However, it has now become a target for defacement, due to uncaring attitude of some people, despite attracting those tourist and visitors, who are smitten fairy tale lovers, ofcourse that includes me. I loved her quiet gaze, an unassuming sureness of her existence to continue.

I visited the Little Mermaid in Copenhagen around dusk since it gets dark early this time of year. It wasn’t crowded, which made it easy to take pictures. There were no tickets or anything like that, you just walk up to it. The statue itself was nice to see in person, though it felt a bit simple to me. Still, it was a fun stop and worth seeing while in the city.

it’s a very beautiful and symbolic statue as the sea wraps around it. around the mermaid there’s also a very nice park with amazing statues and church! there are a lot of people coming there for pictures so be prepared if you come in the afternoon!

Free activity - a little underwhelming to be honest, it’s also quite far out to the north of the city. If you on a tight schedule probably better to skip but if you have plenty of time & love the Hans Christian Andersen stories then pop past for a photo - there are actually some beautiful sights near the little mermaid which you can enjoy

A very pleasant and lively area. A boat tour is recommended. You can see many places in an hour. I think there are two boat tours. One is very cheap. You should ask about the difference and choose accordingly.

Visited Nyhavn over the weekend and absolutely loved it! 🌈 The colorful houses along the canal look stunning, especially on a sunny day ☀️. Tip: for the best photo, click from the opposite side of the canal 📸. Lined with cozy cafes and restaurants, it’s a perfect place to relax, enjoy a meal, and soak in the cheerful Copenhagen vibes 🇩🇰.

Nice view to take pictures. Both side of the canal has dozens of shops to hang out and buy souvenirs. All are expensive then what is priced outside of this zone. There is a big obnoxious ship in the canal and it is hard to take a nice reflective photo with the colorful buildings. That is why I personally like the one in Trondheim Norway.

Lively waterfront with many restaurants! I love the atmosphere but it was very crowded at the same time. We had a Thai food at Charm restaurant close by for dinner and the ice cream for dessert just across the road from Vaffelbageren Nyhavn. It's definitely a lovely place to walk around and soak up the vibe!

It's a must see and very photographic landmark area. There are numerous restaurants and small shops. You catch a canal tour here as well. Don't forget to visit the shop where Hans Christian Anderson once lived.

If you want to see only one place in Copenhagen, it should be definitely Nyhavn. Fabulous and lovely! Full of nice and cozy cafe and restaurant around it.

An excellent park although off to a skeptical start when I saw the first ride we went on had a member of staff on to "pull the brake". Lots of rides to suit all with a fair number of "tummy turners". Queues were small and the facilities such as food and toilets were at a good standard. We used the Copenhagen card to get in but you need to pay extra for the rides. Was quite cold when we were there so dress appropriately. The teenage kids enjoyed it so that's a thumbs up !

Absolutely fantastic at Christmas! So beautiful love the trees the rides and all the shops. It’s expensive to visit at £28 per person but you can go in the day and get a re entry stamp And come back in the evening to see it all lit up. Also I saw families who took a picnic with them. This is a great idea as it’s a beautiful place to have a picnic and a glass of wine in the gardens. The lake is stunning at night. It gets very busy.

Its ok. If you're into food? Then great there's a lot of restaurants. There's only one roller-coaster and a few other attractions. Its expensive especially since all we wanted to do was look at the Christmas decorations. It looks amazing at night all lit up but still not worth $30 dollars.

Visited mid November, weather was pleasant during the hours of 5pm-8pm Fair amount of people about but not crowded and easy to navigate. Christmas themed throughout giving it that magic touch for this time of season. Much like the rest of Copenhagen nothing is cheap and being at the theme park its most likely a little bit more

Tivoli Gardens was at the very top of my list when we visited Copenhagen; and it honestly exceeded every expectation. We visited in early September during the Flower Festival and the whole place felt absolutely beautiful with bursts of colour everywhere. Tivoli first opened in 1843 which is wild to think about, and you can really feel that old world charm as soon as you walk in. There’s a lovely little story that Walt Disney visited Tivoli and was so inspired by its atmosphere and attention to detail that it helped inspire Disneyland; when you’re inside, that makes complete sense. We ended up spending nearly the entire day here; wandering through the gardens, listening to jazz bands play, popping into the little Christmas shops (yes, even in September), admiring the flower competition winners and going on a few of the rides. At one point I turned to my husband and said, “I feel like a kid again.” There was something so nostalgic and joyful about it, like stepping back into the magic of childhood. There are plenty of places to eat inside Tivoli depending on what you feel like; everything from quick bites and coffee to full sit down restaurants and even the beautiful Nimb Hotel right in the middle of it all. The food court is great if you want something casual and fast before exploring more. I also loved how different the park feels as the day turns into evening; during the day it’s lush and garden like, and then at night all the twinkle lights come on and it feels dreamy and romantic. Tivoli is open in different seasons throughout the year including Halloween and Christmas; I heard that November and December are extra special because Tivoli transforms into a Christmas wonderland with decorations, lights, markets and a completely different festive atmosphere. I would honestly love to go back in December just to experience that version of the park. Opening hours change depending on the season but it stays open late enough that you don’t need to rush. My biggest tip is to give yourself enough time. This isn’t the kind of place you speed through; it’s somewhere you stroll, snack, listen to music, ride the rides and just enjoy being there. Tivoli was one of the most memorable experiences of our Copenhagen trip; if you’re visiting the city, this is a must. It’s truly one of those rare places that makes you feel happy, light and a little bit enchanted.

Excellent theme park. We visited as decorated and themed for Christmas Was surprisingly a lot better than anticipated. Prices for ultimate tickets purchased on Get your Guide . Around £45 each . Great value. Lots to see and do. Food prices are similar to those around the city

This is one of the oldest amusement park in the world but it is well maintained. All the decoration and pop up events are to the point. Well decorated for the Halloween 🎃! ++ point: the food at the foodcourt is very tasty and wide range of selection.

The meat was cooked perfectly, with rich flavor and tenderness, but the prices felt a bit steep for what was offered. The service was fine, though not exceptional. Located in Malmö, a city known for its blend of modern innovation and historic charm, this spot aligns with the city's reputation for quality dining experiences. While it delivers on taste, there’s room for improvement in value and service to match Malmö's vibrant food scene.

The food, service, and ambiance were beautiful. I ordered beef tenderloin, sweet potato fries, and an IPA beer. I strongly advise you try this trio! :)

Lovely atmosphere. Staff weren't very friendly. We ordered chips and asked for mayo which had to go through the kitchen (?) so either finished eating or cold food to wait. We got hot chocolates, and one hot chocolate with baileys. Adding a shot of Bailey's was more than double the cost of the hot chocolate. Over priced area so I imagine most places are the same.

Amazing service, the sirloin steak was one of the best I had in Malmo

Ordered a chicken burger with two coffees in total. The coffees were both lukewarm and the burger dripping with barbecue sauce. The chicken meat had a nice panade, but was really thin on the meat part. My friends were ordering steaks, which were rare instead of medium and medium done. The meat was tough and lukewarm. The fries tasted like the ones from McDonald's and some of them were cold on the inside. The service was very friendly and quick to come if asked. Sadly, the time from ordering to serving was extremely long, with around an hour of waiting. The place didn't look like it was busy at all.

Great fish and chips! Steak was super good too.

We had lamb and Pariser bøf, as light dinner. The wine was so-so even though we paid 650kr for a bottle. Staff was friendly and attentive.

Very neat, we crossed coming back to Copenhagen from Malmo. We even stopped to take some better pictures on the Sweden side.

I took a train from Copenhagen Airport to Malmö, Sweden, and it couldn’t have been easier! The train crosses the Øresund Bridge, which connects Denmark and Sweden — the ride itself is smooth and takes only about 30 minutes. There are helpful staff at CPH Airport who guide you on how to buy tickets or use the kiosks, so it’s very traveler-friendly. I went to Malmo, Sweden mainly to visit the Apple Store for a battery replacement (since Copenhagen doesn’t have an official Apple Store, only authorized resellers). The trip was quick, convenient, and a nice little cross-border experience —Highly recommend it if you’re in Copenhagen, have a few hours to kill, and your iPhone decides it needs a little Swedish vacation for battery therapy. 🇸🇪🔋😄

Øresund bridge is a stunning feat of engineering. God attempted to keep the Danes and Swedes apart when he created the Øresund, but the unbreakable spirit of man prevailed to keep the two nations connected in a unique and inspiring way. Today the bridge carries both road and rail passengers, allowing those who own or do not own cars to make this once perilous journey in an easy and convenient fashion. I took my bike on the train to cycle in Sweden from Malmö up to Helsingborg before taking the ferry back over to the homeland of the cinnamon roll. The journey was quick, easy, and convenient. I could've easily been on the Elizabeth line or any other form of easily accessible rail in the UK or across Europe. Isambard Kindom Brunel would be proud of such a feat of engineering. I'm sure his modern contemporaries are.

Travelling under Øresund Bridge via train was an incredible experience! The fact you can see out to sea and see as the lands of Denmark 🇩🇰 fade away and Sweden 🇸🇪 appear was a beautiful moment. When travelling from Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 to England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 or England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 to France 🇫🇷, these types of crossings by train are usually underground so it was particularly special to see this!

A lovely castle, gardens museum and play areas. I went most looking forward to the castle but was pleasantly surprised by the size of the play area and the museum and particularly the collection of historical cars. The amount of activities for younger kids to keep them busy was great as well with lots of variety.

I would give 10 stars if I could. Initially thought the cost was a bit steep compared to other places we'd visited in Denmark. Enjoyed the gardens but hadn't expected the displays if vintage/old and very interesting cars, bikes, motorbikes, helicopters to be so extensive. 2 whole 'sheds' contained exhibits that were covered in dust as insufficient room to display.

Great place with many things to do. We spend 4 hours there, enjoying the impressive castle, the beautiful garden and the kids attractions: Maze, trampoline, playing ground and three tree top walking trail.

Visiting Egeskov Castle was one of the highlights of my trip to Denmark. One of the best house and gardens we have been to. Lots for all the family, young and old. The motor museum was really good. The Dahlias were outstanding

A grand place for the family. Cars, motorcycles, history, gardens and facilities for a full days entertainment is all at Egeskov. Egeskov has a very large visitor capacity, so don't be worried if you see a full parking lot. It can easily handle the crowds. Great playgrounds for the little ones and lots of interesting things for the grown ups. Highly recommended.

Castel and its garden and other exhibitions were really nice. In the castel you can see some old clothes, hunting room, toys… Also the garden and playground is really good. In garage you see many old cars, bikes, motorcycles… I was maybe a bit disappointed in camping equipment… it felt a bit too commercial. But for sure I would recommend a visit. Maze was amazing and not as easy as one might think. We stayed 3h.

Variety and overcrowd in such a narrow tunnel, and amazingly remained order. We took ship tour instead of strolling along the pier. Thereby we could have an overall idea about the harbor area and came with some great buildings to appreciate. For instance, Elbphilharmonie ! 🙂

Beautiful spot next to the South entrance of the Alter Elb Tunnel, and perfect if you want a panoramic view to the Hamburg waterfront on the North Side. If you’re up for it, you can also go and see the other photo spot next to the “Stage Theater An Der Elbe”, 20 minutes on foot. That will bring you closer to the Elbphilharmonie building.

One of the best hidden gems in Hamburg! You can walk here through the historic Elbtunnel or take a short ferry ride from Landungsbrücken. Once there, you get an amazing panoramic view of the harbor, the Elbphilharmonie, and the city skyline. Perfect spot for a quiet break, photos, or just watching ships go by. It’s peaceful and not too touristy. Highly recommend if you’re exploring the harbor area!

Easy to get here via the Elbtunnel (absolutely worth a visit) or a short ferry ride (included in the hvv day ticket). The view is really cool but partially obstructed. It would be ideal if the observation platform could be elevated and widened a bit. Otherwise an amazing view of the Hamburg skyline.

The best place to the get the most amazing view and experience of the Old Elbe Tunnel. German technology at its beautiful best since 1911. Free entry. Great concept for walking and cycling incorporated.

Or was a unique experience walking 450meters under the sea level in the tunnel originally constructed in 1911😍. Going up and down in such huge lifts is cool😇. The view of the port on Elbe on the other side of the tunnel is just wow. 😘

It was very impressive walking through the tunnel and ending up on the side to the viewpoint and seeing the seaport from the other side. It's a must-see when you visit Hamburg.

Wonderful experience, details are incredible, as well as the perfect scaling and diversity of scenes presented. 100% positive memory. Being an adult doesn’t mean itself not for you! Maybe ever better than being a kid. The day/night alternation gives it a magical touch. WOW

Wooooow! Amazing place with a unique experience that lets you walk through different parts of the globe. I loved how much attention to detail was put into everything, and the design often includes funny little scenarios—like taking a bath with a penguin or the sheep pyramid! It’s incredibly creative, yet the landscapes still feel realistic. The night and day versions of the cities are a very cool twist. Also, all the robotics and technology behind the functioning train system—without any crashes—is mind-blowing. I especially enjoyed getting a behind-the-scenes look at the newest addition. One thing to note: it’s a huge place to explore, so plan your visit accordingly to give yourself enough time to enjoy it without rushing from room to room. It can also get quite busy, so be patient and dedicate a full day if possible. There’s a café and food area if you want to take a break during your visit. Definitely recommend it! I’d love to come back and get even more lost in the details.

Absolutely one of the best attractions in Hamburg — and honestly, one of the most impressive exhibits I’ve ever seen. Miniatur Wunderland is massive and filled with astonishing detail. Most Germanic (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) countries and regions have their own area, complete with moving trains, planes, ships, lights, and tiny human stories happening everywhere you look. You could easily spend 3–4 hours here and still not catch everything. It’s not just for model train fans — it’s for anyone who appreciates creativity, craftsmanship, and a bit of magic. The nighttime lighting effects, airports, and little surprises hidden throughout make it incredibly fun for both kids and adults. It can get crowded, so I recommend booking a time slot early in the morning or later in the evening if you can. There’s a café inside with good snacks and drinks for a quick break between sections. Truly a must-see — whether you’re visiting Hamburg for a day or a week, Miniatur Wunderland is worth every minute.

Fantastic venue. Everything feels grounded and made by people who know what visitors will want to have or need. The exhibition itself is spectacular. Lots of details and stories are told ... Sometimes very hidden. Food is fine. Okay price. Reminded me of IKEA. There could be more washrooms. Also, the regular ticket isn't valid for reentry. That's a bit of a bummer since opening hours are until 1am.

Wanted to see this for years and now I've ticked it iff my bucket list! This is hands down the BEST minature railway and car layout you'll ever see! So much to see, you can easily spend all day here! Don't bring the missus, that will only reduce your fun! Definitely get tickets in advance, they sell out quick!

Its easy to see why this is fast becoming the top attraction in Hamburg. Its so much fun and that's consistent with everyone whonis wondering about around you. So much detail that ypu definitely need a visit to the bistro to allow your eyes and brain to catch up. Fantastic day out for everyone. Go. You will be talking about it for a while to come.

As a model railway enthusiast, I have been looking forward to coming to Hamburg to visit Miniatur Wunderland and the truth is that it worth it! I was delighted with the visit and I want to congratulate the whole team for all the impressive work that goes into every part of the model! The technique, the operation, the quality of the details, I love everything in general, especially the airport!! I also really enjoyed being able to eat in the Miniatur Wunderland restaurant. I am sure that in the future I will definitely visit this wonderful place again!

there was a festival at the day I arrived, so it was really crowded, full of people everywhere, but after that it was so peaceful there, the air was fresh and the water was clean, it was just so nice to sit there and enjoy the sunshine, both day and night views were so beautiful!! Hamburg is definitely one of my favorite places in Europe!

The port is just huge! We took a tour on a boat for 20€ in order to admire the majesty of the cranes and the huge ships parked on the deck being loaded by containers. There are so many things to see but you need a guide to get the full experience

Seeing water flow around is satisfying and very beautiful, Hamburg was such a good experience. Go to the elbphilharmonie and watch the beautiful view of the port of Hamburg and entrance is free, if you have kids you can use the lift, if you boat trip at night is a bonus and costs around 20€, then a bus trip during the day also costed around 18€ for 2 hours and I must say everything was worth it

One of the most beautiful poet I have ever been. Its is so lively, you can see tons of containers, cruise ships. If you are going to Germany, make sure to add hamburg harbour in your to do list and also, have a cruise tour. Its really worth trying.

One of the favorite places for a sunday stroll. Plenty things to see. Make sure to catch the ferry 62 for a round trip on the river allowing you to see things from different perspective. Moreover there are plenty of places to eat a nice "Fischbrötchen"!

One of the biggest and most important ports in Northern Europe. A must see when in a Hamburg. Place is really cool and if you’re in luck you’ll catch 2 musicians jamming and rocking some tunes like we found. Don’t leave Hamburg without seeing it!

Really beautiful castle. Courtyard is lovely to sit in as well. Live music during our visit. The Outside is quite lovely to walk around. Be sure to check out the gardens!

What a beautiful castle. We didn’t have time to view inside unfortunately, but the surrounding landscape and grounds were magnificent. This is definitely worth visiting, as too, the town itself. Very picturesque.

The castle was majestic and there were just the right number of people on a weekend. There was no queue to get the tickets on the day we went and we also managed to get a guided English tour. While we waited for the tour, we walked to the restaurant (called the Orangerie) which was in a very picturesque courtyard with a sea view. Our tour guide was very informative and gave us a lot of interesting facts and insight into the life of royalty during that Era. Not all the rooms were open for public viewing, as many were being used for the regional parliament. But the ones that were open, were really beautiful and were maintained very well. Definitely worth a visit!

Beautiful Castle! However quite a lot of people there. The Tour is great and you can also borrow a chair so you can sit at all times. The Corridors are sometimes very narrow and some Tour guides are speaking rather quietly (for me personally was it not too bad, however for some people [especially older] was it a problem) so you can’t stand too far away from them. Overall a great place!!!

The architecture and golden domes are incredible. The beautiful gardens and the views from the bridge is really good.

Absolutely stunning on the outside... Self-guided tour... which is definitely handy when visiting with children. Although I was slightly disappointed by how limited the tour proved to be, in comparison with the size of the castle itself. There are also lifts and I noticed a wheelchair lift at a small staircase towards the end of our tour, so I suspect it has good or at least decent accessibility, as well. Place is fairly busy in general... so, crowded, but because it's a big place, it didn't feel overcrowded.

Visiting Schwerin Castle felt like stepping straight into a fairytale. Surrounded by a shimmering lake and beautifully kept gardens, the castle looks magical from every angle. The architecture is breathtaking, with its golden domes and towers rising proudly above the water. Definitely a must-see if you’re in northern Germany – whether for the history, the scenery, or simply the fairytale charm. 🏰

Fun little place to visit when you come to Germany. There are a variety of shops to check out, as well as places to grab a bite to eat. I would recommend you go early in the day to find nearby street parking.

It's a lovely place, made up of narrow streets and small shops. You can get lost in the narrow streets and find interesting shops along the way. It's a wonderful walking route. You can relax and soak up the atmosphere by sitting and sipping something in the surrounding cafes. It's a wonderful place.

We absolutely loved exploring the Schnoor district in Bremen. It's a truly enchanting and picturesque neighborhood that feels like you've stepped back in time. Wandering through the narrow, cobblestone lanes lined with tiny, historic houses is a magical experience. The area is filled with unique boutiques, artisan workshops, and cozy cafés, each housed in a building with its own character. The atmosphere is lively yet intimate, making it perfect for a leisurely stroll, shopping for unique souvenirs, or simply soaking in the fairytale-like ambiance. It's the heart and soul of old Bremen and an absolute must-see for any visitor. We highly recommend taking your time to explore every little alley.

If there was a German Harry Potter, then it would be filmed in Bremen. The Schnoor district is Bremen’s oldest and most charming neighborhood, with winding alleyways and beautifully preserved half-timbered houses dating back to the 15th–18th centuries. Worth visiting 🙌🏼

When you are in Bremen… definitely visit Schnoor. The area here is not so big but so cute with the little streets, restaurants and shops. Adorable! 🥰 So don’t skip this part of Bremen!!!!

Huge adventure park not too far away from Berlin. Went here with our little one and there are already ample rides for his age. Parents traveling with toddlers will still have lots of options for attractions. The Peppa Pig Land offers several choices. One doesn’t have to like Peppa Pig to enjoy the rides. I would also recommend the Food Stop inside Peppa Pig Land offering Rice Bowls etc. The staff are very friendly and food tasted delicious. We visited on a weekday so waiting times weren’t that long. But I have seen long queues in the coasters. Using the app, it was easier to navigate how to get to a specific attraction. It also shows age/height requirements, waiting times, etc. The coaster rides are very famous and there are different types on different levels so there is an option for everyone for sure. I would advise to bring your water bottle and rain coat/rain jacket atop your extra clothes. Several Food stalls are available. Book your tickets ahead online to get discounts. If ever not yet known, fyi, children celebrating their birthday get to enter for free.

I haven't been here in years. We arrived right when it opened and stayed until closing time. I was looking forward to coming here, and I was not disappointed. We had such a great time! The weather was mixed, which was good, as it meant that the crowds were not that large and the wait times were reduced. I went on every rollercoaster, and some even several times. The food was pretty good, too. I bought a few souvenirs and I must say the prices are really not that bad compared to other theme parks I have been to. I was still smiling the next day! I highly recommend a visit! I can't wait to come back! Next time, we'll stay the night.

Great experience. Great day to be here. Not too many people as school has started and summer holidays are mostly over. Wait time was between 10 and 60 minutes. Only note is that some queues were not covered which meant in sunny weather it could get quite hot. The thrill roller-coasters were amazing. The only roller-coaster I would NOT recommend is the double-loop one. Headache machine.

It is a great place to spend with the family. We visited the amusement park in the middle of the week. It was great to see it is not crowed and waiting times were between 10 to max 30min for the main attractions. It makes it really enjoyable not like other parks with super long waiting time and too many people that you hardly can breath. The restaurants inside offer various dishes and the quality was good, a bit pricey though which is normal in such a park. The only thing, some of the staff or instructor at some attractions were not really friendly. They might forgot where they work. The access to the park by car from Hamburg less than an hour was very fine. The parking space very well available. The access by public transport is a bit long though. It is a recommended place to visit. There are entertainment available for almost all ages.

It was a really quiet day when we were there so easy to get on any ride we wanted. Everything seemed in good working order although it needed a bit of freshening up after the summer season (we were there in late September). The were still plenty of options for eating and things were reasonably priced (for a theme park!). The ride staff were great and interacted with our children well (our children don’t speak German). Because it was quieter, they allowed us and others to just keep riding those rides without a line. A good day and a good experience. The only problem we had was getting into the correct carpark!

Visited Heide Park and had a fantastic day filled with fun and adrenaline. The park has a great mix of rides for all ages — from high-speed roller coasters for thrill-seekers to gentler attractions for families and younger children. The grounds are well laid out and easy to navigate, with plenty of seating areas and spots to take a break. Queues for the bigger rides can be long at peak times, but the atmosphere and excitement make the wait worthwhile. Food options are varied, with something to suit most tastes, though prices are on the higher side as expected in theme parks. Staff were friendly and kept the rides running smoothly and safely. Overall, Heide Park is a must-visit for theme park lovers in Germany. A great mix of thrills, family fun, and beautiful surroundings make it perfect for a full day out.

We came from far away especially for this park, as we had promised our little daughter. We had been here before, and she really enjoyed it and wanted to return. We entered the park, and immediately a heavy downpour began. We went into the shop at the entrance and waited for an hour. The rain didn’t stop. We approached customer service and asked to postpone our tickets to the following day — our request was denied. We waited another hour and tried, for our daughter’s sake, to continue through the park. We were soaked to the bone, and all the rides were closed. There was absolutely no way to fulfill our promise to her. Apart from walking around in the rain, there was nothing to do! I contacted customer service by email, hoping they would show some flexibility and let us enter on another day. But no — that's their policy, with no exceptions. After about two hours, with no sign of the rain stopping, we simply left. The disappointment for our daughter — and for us — was indescribable. It’s truly a shame that this is how children are treated. We, the parents, pay full admission just so the kids can have fun, and the park didn’t even take this small step to accommodate us by allowing a replacement visit. What a pity!

Pretty good. But seeing someone smoking in the kids playground was shocking to me. Really good work with the themed atmosphere and building structures. Animals hiding in the shade but most still visible.

My first time here and I absolutely loved it. I honestly didn’t expect much from a zoo in Germany, but this one went far beyond my expectations. It feels more like an amusement park somehow! The boat ride is my favorite part, since some of the animals can be seen better from the boat. And don’t miss the zoo shop. They have so many cute merch items. Definitely one of the best zoos I’ve ever been to.

All the animals looked so happy! The enclosures are just so amazing! Really good job making them themed after the area you’d find the animals in the wild, which just made it look so natural and made it look so that the animals were at home! Not seen anything like this before! The entry fee is at the higher end but it’s so worth it! Loved all of it!

15 out of 10 for theming, one of my favorite in the world! Beautiful areas and though they’re building new areas, spaces are original, more like a theme park and according to the animals. Loved the Yukon! Easy to navigate but plenty of signage, maps and ways to find your way. Worth a visit!

If you are into cars and the automotive industry then this place is for you, it has a good playground for the little ones and for food you have restaurants and a bakery. It’s near the railway station and they have a huge parking lot that doesn’t cost that much. It’s worth the visit though you’ll a good chunk of the day to cover everything.

If it is your first time you will love it. The car museum is so nice If it is your second time it is the same. I have been here in 2018 and only things that changed were the sliders for the kids/adukts near the 4 chimney and of course there are new car models but... not so much change. You pay 20€ to see the cars and touch the production ones like in a regular car store.

Museum had a good range of cars from many manufacturers. The train tour around the factory was fantastic very immersive with a lot of information and interesting detail. The team were very accommodating we had been stuck in traffic so had missed the English speaking tour however, they went out of there way to give us an English spoken tour of the factor of the factory separate to the scheduled German tour. Many thanks to the team for a great experience 👍🏻

I found the staff to be amiable and courteous, and the environment to be organized, systematic, and well-maintained. I thought the ticket price was a bit high for what it had to offer, as I usually visit much bigger museums for that price. But this opinion comes from someone who doesn't know much about cars. If you know a lot about cars and are passionate about them, this will be your paradise. It is close to Hanover and a great place to spend a day with the kids.

Visiting the Autostadt in Wolfsburg was such a great experience! The whole place is beautifully designed, clean, and very well organized. From the impressive car pavilions to the museum and the factory view, everything showcases the history and future of Volkswagen in a fun and interactive way. I especially enjoyed the variety of exhibitions and how much attention to detail there is throughout the park. Definitely worth visiting if you’re a car enthusiast or just want a unique cultural experience in Germany!

It's an interesting nad knowledge base learning tour not only VW but other car manufacturers, Tour and Tower & VW Factory tour worth attention and a visit. Lovely architecture building bauhaus design.

Interesting castle, not the best I have seen, but quite big and equipped. Short tour thru the living quarters in the castle, bit about the Martin Luter history and nice viewing point. Overall I expected more interesting place than it actually was. Small parking at the bottom of the hill with short walk up, or shuttle bus ride. Worth visiting, but bit disappointing.

This was well worth the entrance fee! The castle has so much fabulous history from the 12th century onwards. We enjoyed every minute of the auditory device educational experience.

Wonderful location and views from the castle. The historical tour is very interesting and the preservation and restoration of the chambers is top notch. It is also a historical site for christians, as Martin Luther started the translation to the New Testament in this castle. You can see the room in which he was working.

We visited Wartburg during the Christmas season. Getting up to the castle was quite a trek - it's a long and challenging walk uphill, so be prepared if you're not in good shape! It was also very cold and windy at the top of the mountain. The Christmas market was extremely crowded, so unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to properly explore it. We also found it a bit difficult to find the castle entrance as there weren't clear signs outside. However, the guided tour inside was excellent! The guide shared the castle's history along with interesting stories and fun facts. Before leaving, we even enjoyed some live music in the upper part of the castle.

Now that's a beautiful castle. We took the guided tour and learned a lot! It's worth taking a slow walk at the museum once the tour finishes. Sit, have a beer and a Thüringen wurst. Just lovely!

Lest you miss it at the Wartburg: The triptych of the 3 successive electors by Lucas Cranach depicts a pivotal part of German and European history. The central position is held by Frederick the Wise, Duke of Saxony, arch marshall and elector of emperor Charles V, having refused his own candidacy. Frederick holds the vice regal crown of Germany during the absence of the emperor. His brother John (l) followed, and the latter's son John Frederick (r) fought against emperor and pope for the new church. (JF was brother-in-law to Kg Henry VIII for a short while by the Cleve sisters.)

The trekking routes around and on the way to the castle have some of the visually stunning vistas of the Thüringen wilderness. The city of Eisenach looks quite stunning along the way as well. I'd definitely recommend the trek to the castle along from the other side of another hill.

Amazing how they managed to build this beautiful bridge with the shops and apartments so many years ago before there was any modern machinery! The fact that it is still standing after all these decades is a marvel! I loved the whole experience!

Really cool that one can be walking down the street without even realizing being on the Merchant's bridge. Definitely take a moment to walk outside and see the bridge then walk back through - really cool. There are a lot of little plazas around to stop and relax with a lot of little ice cream shops within a small area.

The Krämerbrücke in Erfurt is the longest bridge in Europe that is completely covered with inhabited buildings. It spans the Gera River and connects Benediktsplatz with Wenigemarkt in the heart of the old town. The decorations were wonderful, and the optical illusions on the ceiling were so impressive that I could have mistaken them for real sculptors. I took a guided tour in English, and they explained every detail, which was very educational. Towards the end of the tour, there were photos of the building that were devastated during World War II, and I was impressed by how well it had been restored.

We spent some time in the gardens of the Residenz which you can do at no cost. The place is neatly maintained and you can get stunning views of the huge baroque palace. There's also parking on the other side of the building as well as a free public toilet nearby.

This is a beautiful place to visit. The opulence is almost overwhelming. It was a little warm inside but not unbearable. The gardens are INCREDIBLE. Highly recommend, very walkable.

This is a unesco world heritage site. Very well maintained especially given that it was damaged during the second world war. The key highlights are the glass room, ceiling art and the gardens. The total visit time would be 2-3 hrs. Do spend time in the gardens. The rooms can feel repetitive after a while with the same greek themed tapestries

Such a cool experience to be able to go here, loved the interactive bits but the story telling could’ve been done better for Ferdinand Porsche’s life. Coming from my time in the Mercedes Benz museum down the road which did their story telling impeccably. Definitely go here though, would highly reccommend if you like looking at high horsepower monsters and multi million euro cars!

Very nice museum with a really big collection of … Porsche’s of course, what else?! It talks about the really fascinating history, the ups, the downs, the successes, the what ever you want to know about this magnificent sports performance vehicles. It’s a must visit in stuttgart!

Car enthusiasts will love it. The museum will give you a diving in the history of Germany and automobiles. The visit starts at the visitor center going up to the 8th floor down. There’s parking on the streets nearby and some parking nearby the museum. Parking garage is also available nearby. Tickets may be bought online or in person. It is kids friendly and wheelchair accessible. There’s a souvenir store, a restaurant and more downstairs from the visitor center.

A must see for car enthusiasts and history lovers. The museum is nicely laid and and takes you through the history of Porsche from the early days to modern day. Go early to avoid crowds. A fantastic experience overall.

The Porsche Museum is absolutely incredible and a must-visit for anyone who loves the Porsche brand. The collection is stunning, with so many iconic cars from throughout Porsche’s history displayed in a beautifully curated space. From groundbreaking race cars to legendary road cars, every exhibit highlights the brand’s innovation and engineering excellence. My personal favorites were the Nurburgring record-breaking 919 Evo, which is breathtaking to see up close, and the Carrera GT, a true masterpiece of design and performance. The museum perfectly captures what makes Porsche special, and it’s well worth the trip for any automotive enthusiast.

This is a very nice museum. Lots of Porsche history is shown, special versions and good explanations via a mobile device with headset. I must admit that i only used it at the beginning, because some explanations are giving allot of info.you can also walk by and read the text.

It was a unique experience from my side. After having parked the car, we entered to the museum and took the elevator to the top floor where you are going to start your journey. From classic cars to classic sport cars and from recent road stars to formula cars. I mean simply amazing. The most important thing to do in the city.

Visiting Hohenzollern Castle was one of those experiences that really stays with you. As we made our way up and started walking around the outdoor observation areas, the view simply took my breath away. The valley stretches out endlessly, and from the castle walls it feels like you’re standing above the world. It’s the kind of view that makes you stop, breathe, and just take it all in. The castle itself is just as impressive as the scenery. It stands tall and majestic, with an atmosphere that carries centuries of history. Walking through it, you can almost feel the presence of the people who once lived there and the important role this place played. Every hallway and corner has a story, and when you step back outside to those sweeping views, it all ties together beautifully. I’ve seen a number of castles in Germany — each with their own charm — but Hohenzollern stood out in a way that felt different. It wasn’t just about the architecture or the history alone; it was the combination of both with its stunning location on top of the hill. That mix of breathtaking scenery and deep history makes it one of the most memorable castles I’ve ever visited. If you’re traveling in the area, I can’t recommend it enough. It’s the kind of place you’ll remember long after you leave.

I loved how they still kept history alive for viewing and provided a free app guided tour. The shuttle to the castle from the parking lot, gift shops and bathrooms in both the castle and parking lot, and restaurants made the tour convenient. But the best parts were the view of nearby lands and beautiful artifacts.

This was a wonderful experience and this castle does not disappoint with sheer beauty located at the top of the mountain. I got lovely photos and videos. There is shuttle bus to the top and an app that gives you an audio tour. There are also many guides on site to answer questions and give you more history. There is a gift shop with beautiful souvenirs and an on site restaurant/bar/cafe. Well worth the visit and I recommend buying advance tickets which are slightly discounted. I also rented a super car on this trip and the drive from Stuttgart was scenic and so much fun in a performance car. Also recommend the drive.

This is a beautiful castle! It is very well maintained. The walk through is nice, and the museum area is really neat too. There's a beautiful outdoor seating area with a beer garden/restaurant. We had lunch and coffee there. We also visited with a baby, and read ahead of time not to bring a stroller due to stairs and tight spaces. So we used a baby carrier instead and it worked perfectly! This is a must visit castle if you're anywhere close in the vicinity. The view looking down is also beautiful.

One of the biggest castles in Stuttgart. This is well-maintained, and the shuttle bus is a great option for the elderly and those with mobility issues. But you will get the best experience if you walk to the castle from the bottom.

Wonderful! It has such a cozy, homey vibe. It’s so great that the family is still preserving it and sharing it with the public. I do recommend downloading the tour app if you want all the detailed history of the castle.
