Shopping mall
Shopping
Mall Burgas Plaza is a modern shopping center offering a wide range of boutiques, international brands, and local shops. Visitors can enjoy entertainment options such as a cinema and a food court with popular fast food chains and Hungarian cuisine. The mall also features familiar brands like Starbucks, Costa Coffee, and Lidl. Additionally, it provides amenities such as clean toilets, handicap accessibility, ample parking space, massage chairs on the second floor, and Covid/QR code checks at the entrance for safety.
First of all, now it called Grand Plaza. They changed name. We visited a new store " BulMag supermarket ". Everything was great!
Vladimir B — Google review
There are barely any interesting shops, just regular shops that are everywhere else and prices are same as in Western Europe. Just one paid attraction for kids. Not worthy to spend time. The parking has a sign saying there are thieves active in that area, so I guess it is not safe to park there for a longer period of time. There is Costa Coffee with wonderful baristas, I guess the only positive thing about the shopping mall.
Christian E — Google review
Not that much to do in there at the moment. Has a respectable number of shops , coffee and a few places to eat. Recently opened a new playground and a nice supermarket. It was said that there will be a cinema there soon so definitely curious to see the development.

“Just spent the day at Burgas Plaza Mall! Super chill vibe, tons of shops like H&M and Sport Vision, and grabbed a latte at Starbucks ☕. Kids had a blast at Capella Play. Easy parking, not too crowded, just perfect for a laid-back shopping trip. Def coming back! #BurgasPlaza #LocalVibes”
Vladimir S — Google review
Unfortunately not a good experience. 1) charged 2 times 1 coffee in the Starbucks 2) Most shops where closed or 'coming soon'... 3) Compass shop: my wife got kicked out around 11:00 because the lady was cleaning the floor (they open at 10:00) she got yelled at after setting 1 foot inside the shop that was open... Service in Bulgaria can be challenging but this one was the queen of the 'I don't want to sell don't bother me attitude' 4) Taxi burgas plaza: avoid if you are not familiar with Burgas, (we live in Sofia) they rip you off with a big smile even when you tell them they are ripping you off... I always use Yellow taxi up so I knew the trip was 8 leva max, but no taxi available... he did not put his meter on and said it was 15 leva, even when we confronted him with the fact we knew he was ripping us off... No need to get violent over 15 leva but it was tempting :-) :-)

* Open every day from ⏲ 09.00 till 21.00 * Toilets 🚻 are clean * They have a Starbucks&Costa café☕ * They have a MC Donald * Many stores in the mall are closed * A wide big 🚗parking place * They have massage chairs(2.floor) * Security at the entrance asks for a Covid/QR code💉 #Burhaz #ShoppingMall #Bulgaria

Action Aquapark

Mentioned on

Water park
Water & Amusement Parks
Action Aquapark is a fun-filled water park that boasts slides, pools, a lazy river, concessions and even a mini zoo with farm animals and birds. However, due to its post-Covid reopening schedule, some of the slides are open only during specific times of the day while others close for a short period. The main gate is also closed so visitors must enter through the hotel lobby at the back and pay there instead.
We had an excellent trip as a family of 5 ages between 12-15 for the kids, everyone had a great time. We used the free shuttle bus and booked our tickets online in advance of our trip... all went smoothly. No queues for entry or really for any of the rides, it did get a little busier in the late afternoon but still no more than a couple of people in front of us no more than 1-2 minute wait for the slides which in peak season I thought was excellent. Staff were friendly from reception, to security and the pool attendants. Food was slightly higher than other places but we ate light and had a more filling evening meal, I don't think you cant take in your own food and water but that's not an issue if you know in advance. We also read about people having bad experiences with the wrist bands but our 3 managed to keep theirs attached fine all day with no issues, just make sure they are tight and no problem. No problem getting 5 sun loungers together and a couple of parasols, saw plenty of others free. Lazy lagoon was brilliant we spent a good half an hour in there was really fun with the kids. Highly recommended for a family trip when in Sunny Beach.
Ben T — Google review
Just a flew slides are good, but the rest not. A really small park with not a lot of activities. Maybe a better place for families. The bracelets they give you at the entrance slide off from your hand easily and get lost. Then you have to pay extra money for the lost bracelet. The "dressing rooms" were horrible and no lockers anywhere. They charged us more for the locker and it was on the other side of the park than the dressing rooms. The locker room smelled so bad that you had to hold your breath when you went in. Also they give you an actual key for it and you have to carry it along everywhere. The whole park was so outdated and poorly made. The slides also give you bruises and it hurts like hell.
Tiia T — Google review
Close to the beach and the rest of the main resort. There was no long queuing for the attractions. There were plenty of sun beds available for all guests. It is well catered place with food options for different tastes. Children love it. Highly recommend it.
Petya I — Google review
At the entrance, your bag is checked to make sure you don't have any water or food with you, they just touched the bottom of your bag. The slides were not crowded ( at the end of august), maybe after 2 pm . Prices: entrance 67 leva / adult, Frappe 8 leva, Cola 0.5l 6 leva
G G — Google review
Hardly any queues at the slides, so 3 hours is enough to ride them all twice, they really should offer a half day ticket, as the entrance fee is quite steep! Or in the entrance fee maybe include 1 picture, which are taken throughout your visit. Best place for a nap I found stretching out on a double boat alone, nicely out of the water and super comfy with a slight to and from rocking. Online tickets are pointless, as they are same price as at the cash desk, only useful, if you have a coupon, which can only be redeemed online. But keep in mind you have to make a screenshot of the booking number, as they don't sent any confirmation email.
No B — Google review
Awesome day,,not very busy, end of season so all restaurants etc closed but ticket price included the use of the all inclusive hotel for the day so had a great massive lunch and free drinks. The water was very cold but soon get used to it 👌
KING A — Google review
The price is expensive. Unjustified Paying for the locker in cash too Only one or two of the staff at the slides were nice, the rest were not Bad attitude towards the children and yelling at the children unjustly. No professional first aid service No health insurance for injuries Despite the expensive price. If you are a local or speak a local language, they let you bring in food and drinks from outside. The complex needs to be renovated, expanded and improved. Because I visited six years ago, it's the same thing. The cashier was nice Hope the situation will change for the better
امير ب — Google review
Really enjoyed it, 10 year old had lots of fun, went a friday in August, minimal queues, got slightly busier between 2 and 4, food was reasonably priced approx £10 for a burger meal, must try are the corn on the cobs, really healthy snack,

Mall Galleria Burgas

Mentioned on
8 lists
Shopping mall
Shopping
Mall Galleria Burgas is the largest and most popular shopping center in Burgas, offering a wide range of international brands, open-air eateries, and a cinema. The upper level features well-known fast-food eateries and the beloved Playground with arcade and video games for children. Visitors can take a delightful break at JARO cafe and bar on the ground floor.
This is a great place to visit if you enjoy shopping. I was staying in Sunny Beach and took a taxi to the Mall Galleria for a few hours of retail therapy, for reference the taxi costs 200lv return (about €100 or £87). The centre has a good choice of shops from H&M, Zara and New Yorkers for Fashion to Lidl and IKEA for the home. There is a cinema and a good choice of restaurants in the food court on the top floor, these included KFC and McDonald's. Overall if you are looking for a shopping trip from Sunny Beach then I recommend this shopping centre.
Carl K — Google review
Lovely mall. Clean and nicely air conditioned. Great variety of shops over three floors. Ample underground parking which is free. Always a winner 🏆 Food court not great though. KFC always jammed and very slow. Hessburger busy and slow too. McDonald’s always get the order wrong. Aladdin just cold, badly cooked crap. 💩
Fiona T — Google review
Nice modern mall with good balance of international and local / regional brands. Also wide possibilities for refreshments, drinks, coffee and food. I would definitely come back. Surprisingly fast access with public transport bus Б2 so even from the city center it is 15 mins away.
Piotr K — Google review
Horrible shopping centre. Every shop I went to the customer service was a negative experience. No-one seems to want to work here with a smile. The only positive is the parking is free. They must have issues with shoplifting etc. as the security are very keen to keep a close eye on shoppers. I would have bought items from a number of outlets but was totally put off by the experience. Particularly in Nike, Zara and worst of the lot Starbucks. In contrast to shops in the centre of Burgas where everyone seemed lovely. I won't be revisiting if I'm ever back in Burgas
David P — Google review
During my visit I encountered significant issues with both your staff and facilities. When I approached the information desk for assistance, the staff member was engaged in a personal phone conversation and showed no willingness to help. This is unacceptable behavior for someone whose role is to provide support and information to visitors. Furthermore, upon leaving the mall, the car park was completely blocked. Vehicles were stuck for an extended period of time, and no communication or explanation was provided as to why the delay was occurring or how long it would take. This lack of organization and information caused unnecessary frustration and inconvenience.
Vanya C — Google review
We didn’t even manage to enter. Horrible traffic until we reach the mall, there were no free parking lots above so the security guided everybody to the underground parking… which was also full! So we were stuck underground for more than hour with two children-no free parking lots and too much traffic to exit fast! Horrible experience-will never repeat this spot!

A good place for families especially kids. It has an indoor play area, arcade with Playstation area, bowling and cinema. Very busy in season though. Shops are ok and it has a food court with a fairly good choice. Including Hesburger, McDonald's, KFC, Subway, Pizza, Sushi and traditional Bulgarian food. There is also a gym. The outside car park gets mega busy though so use the inside one 😉

Sunny Beach Amusement Park, also known as Sunny Beach Luna Park, is a must-visit attraction in the summer resort. It offers a wide range of family-oriented amusements, including thrilling roller coasters and funfair-style rides suitable for all ages. The park's highlight is 'The Booster,' an adrenaline-pumping ride that promises an unforgettable experience. Visitors can also enjoy casual dining options within the park.
Enjoyed the evening we spent here during our visit to Sunny beach early June '25 Reasonably priced and something for everyone.

Get in and head to the small cabin Infront of the bungee to buy your tokens. Reasonable prices. Everyone who works here is friendly and the chap on the big bungee is great with the kids they will have a blast. It connects onto the shopping strip which is great for all your clothing bags and so on . You can pretty much spend a night here and in the surrounding area just wandering eating the various street foods and getting your feet nibbled by fish. Be vigilant like anywhere there are pickpockets amongst the crowds so avoid things in back pockets or open top bags. Enjoy

What a great place for family fun full of attractions, fast food stalls, restaurants and little souvenir shops. There are many restaurants with a menu for children offered together with a colouring sheet. If staying in a more distant residence, use a little train (sunny beach train= SBT). It's main point is definitely their Russian wheel 🛞 which serves also as a meeting point. A little piece of advice for parents: don't visit this park (or rather the close street) at the beginning of your holiday stay 😜😁 The adjacent beach is extremely overcrowded even within the first September week (after the school year start). In case you wish to have a calmer spot, find other beacher (Kiko, Cacao).
Mgr. F — Google review
We visited the amusement park in June and had a great time! The overall atmosphere was fun and enjoyable, especially for the kids – they loved every minute of it. One big plus was that the waiting times weren’t long, which made the experience even better. However, some of the prices for individual attractions felt quite high. For example, throwing balls at cans cost 20 BGN, while bungee jumping was only 10 BGN, and the sparkly bumper cars were 9 BGN. It would be great if the pricing was a bit more balanced. Still, the park offered lots of smiles and good moments – definitely worth a visit if you're nearby!
Kiril ( — Google review
Pretty decent. If you get the adrenaline package. Gives you cheaper tickets for 4 of the main rides. 49lv worked out at £22. If you visit at around 7pm there's not much for queuing either.
Phil W — Google review
It's a fun place, decent amount of attraction, not too crazy, not expensive.
Zoltán S — Google review
The drop tower was amazing — super fast and a great thrill, plus really cheap for the experience. The booster was the highlight: very exciting, extremely intense, and definitely worth trying. Prices overall felt quite fair. The only letdown was the roller coaster, which was really mid — shaky and not very extreme compared to the other rides.
Yoan Z — Google review
Disgusting old place with very outdated ride machines. Scary house - We asked the man and woman owners at the entrance if an 8-year-old girl could go into the scary room, and a they said yes. We bought two tickets, but as soon as the girl opened the door, she started crying. When we asked to return the enterence tickets (chips), they refused. The girl was still crying, and instead of helping, they shouted at us and threatened us and touch us. Don’t go to this dirty place where people lying to get money from you! Shameless people. 🤢

Water & Amusement Parks
Outdoor swimming pool
Aquapark Nessebar, also known as the Pearl of the Black Sea, is a must-visit outdoor waterpark in the Bulgarian town of Nessebar. This ancient town has a rich history and is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The water park is one of the largest in Europe, covering 55,000 square meters and offering over 60 attractions including slides, water rivers, and paddling pools for visitors of all ages.
Fantastic Family Fun at Nessebar Aqua Park! We visited Nessebar Aqua Park in Bulgaria at the end of May into early June and had an absolutely brilliant time! The park is impressively large, with a fantastic range of slides and attractions to suit all ages — from thrilling rides for the adrenaline seekers to gentler areas for younger kids. There were excellent facilities throughout the park. The pools and play areas are well thought out, and there’s something for everyone, whether you're a toddler, teen, or adult. The sunbeds were plentiful and spread all around the park, so we never struggled to find a spot to relax. As guests staying at the affiliated hotel, we had access to the all-inclusive food options — and they didn’t disappoint! All-inclusive guests had an allocated restaurant situated at the far left of the food hall, which was very convenient. The selection included chips, chicken nuggets, chicken kebabs, other kebabs, burgers, and a fresh salad bar. Everything was really tasty and ideal for a day of fun in the sun. For drinks, there was a wide choice from refreshing mocktails and soft drinks to cocktails and local beer. The atmosphere at the park was lively and upbeat, with music playing constantly which really helped keep spirits high. The toilets and showers were impressively clean and clearly well-maintained, with staff regularly on hand to keep them spotless. Safety was also a priority — we saw plenty of lifeguards around the big slides and main children's area. The only small thing to note was that we didn’t see a lifeguard directly in the toddler/baby zone, which might be worth improving. The pools were a bit cold during our visit, but with the hot weather, it was still very refreshing and didn’t stop us from enjoying every minute. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this holiday and will definitely be returning. Nessebar Aqua Park is a great day out and a highlight of any stay in the area!
Betty S — Google review
The lines at the slides were really long, but it is what it is, If you want to try the biggest ones you need to wait at least an hour which really exhausting. The paying system is good with the watch what they give you at the entrance, the park itself is really nice. Good staff.
Máté A — Google review
Absolute stunning place 😀 everyone is so friendly, the water resistant wrist bands are a genius idea (you put money on tbem). So safe and sound much to do. The staff there were incredible, we are returning as it was that good 👍
Kirsty T — Google review
One of the best Aqua Parks I've been in Europe. Fun day for kids in all ages and also for adults. Bars with drinks, ice creams and food almost on every corner. Is not overcrowded even on weekends. We had access to Water Park with our hotel stay, no matter what time we came, haven't been struggling to find a sun lounge. Very safe, any kid, even teenage can not exit without an adult. Security at all gates.
Natalia C — Google review
The park was great, so many different slides and quite a lot to do. Also you can't beat the BOGO happy hour from 2pm - 4pm for adults. My only feedback would be that they have a line for people who bout tickets in advance to get in quicker.
Logan — Google review
What an amazing hotel. It was so clean and well maintained. The pools and poolsides were cleaned every evening ready for the next day, we saw maintenance being done on some loose tiles pool side. Maintenance were on the ball... The Aqua park was spectacular , lots of staff and lifeguards. The slides and play areas and pools were fantastic. Music from the pirate ship was brilliant and kept you entertained with daily games. All inclusive was so easy, your Aqua park wristwatch was your key to everything available. Food, drinks, icecream and park entry at 10am. Security lockers needed paying for, 20 lev but you get half back. Restaurants at the hotel x 3. Fusion, Italian and the normal restaurant for daily use... the restaurant offered a huge range of food and drink at every mealtime. Including wine and beer. The staff all worked so hard to make sure your stay was perfect. Advising them I had allergies when I first arrived they bent over backwards to ensure I had plenty to eat, preparing separate meals for me. We had an amazing time at this hotel and will definitely return again, my grandchildren were never out of the water, the Purple people arranged games, the kids club, sports events, poolside games, quizzes, discos in the evening. There was also entertainment from 9.30pm in the Amphitheatre. We saw some fantastic shows, never the same one twice over 14 days. Children who didn't have siblings, soon found someone to play with. I cannot fault this place, it was definitely worth the money. I can't put everything in here but ask any questions and I'll do my best to answer. 😃
Jo-Anne F — Google review
The aqua park was good, although in hindsight we wouldn't go again in full season as was extremely busy... to get on any of the decent rides there was at least an hour's wait which was disappointing...other wise it was very good.. the watch system was a good idea for getting food etc.. watch out for idiots trying to skip the cues.. we saw quite a few.. They were pit in the their place very quickly ...
David P — Google review
We enjoyed this aquapark – there’s a great variety of slides in all sizes, and the place is kept nice and clean. On arrival you’re given a bracelet that you top up with money, as cash and cards aren’t accepted inside. It’s a clever system but a bit of a faff, since you have to guess how much you’ll need and then queue at the end to get any unused balance back. One downside is that no food is allowed in the park. Bags are checked, and even our small pack of biscuits was taken away (though returned at the end). It felt a little petty, especially as we’d happily have bought their food anyway. Overall though, it’s a fun and well-run place, and worth a visit if you’re looking for a good day out.

Historical landmark
Old Nessebar, situated on a rocky peninsula extending into the Black Sea, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a popular tourist destination in Bulgaria. The town is renowned for its picturesque wooden houses and churches. Connected to the mainland by a man-made isthmus, Old Nessebar offers stunning views of the sea from its charming restaurants and traditional shops. Visitors can enjoy delicious seafood dishes and European cuisine while taking in the breathtaking scenery.
The place is wonderfull. At the terrace you can see the whole sea while enjoying your food. The service is perfect, dishes are served quickly, at the same time. Food is also delicious. Fish is great, soft, not dried. For kids pancakes with chocolate are the choice. We have found the restaurant much too late...

Really nice place, crowded, but it’s a visited/touristic spot thus this was expected. We really liked the streets and arhitecture, we went there everyday to discover something new. Nice to take walks and see the old buildings and ruins. We ignored the shops with souvenirs as they could kind of ruin the vibe. Totally one of the nicest places from the Bulgarian sea side resorts
Steflix — Google review
If you want to visit the old town to see nice and unique architecture and ancient style streets - don't bother. Plenty of tables selling all kinds of cheap colourful plastic stuff... toys hanging everywhere, very crowded... especially if you are visiting with kids - you could not see any architecture.
Adelina P — Google review
Old Nessebar is a nice little isle for a sight seeing trip during a holiday at Sunny Beach Bulgaria. Nice historical place with some authentic old architecture and plenty of toerist shops. Also seem to have regular interesting activities during summer.
Tim S — Google review
I did not spend the night in the old town, but I have bought souvenirs from various shops. It is very beautiful, the prices are OK and the personnel was very polite and helpful. It was a worthwhile experience!
U B — Google review
Very bad expensive. Refrigerator is not connected to the permanent electricity of the hotel. It is connected to your room key. Means when you are out, the refrigerator doesn't work. The worst hotels in the world don't work like that. The size of WC is tiny: 22x26 cm!!!! It is a torture using the WC. The blankets have no cover and when I asked for that, they simply ignored me. Never again this place. Never.
Syrusphoenix — Google review
The whole island a massive tourist trap. We managed to find only two streets that were not flooded with booths selling unrelated crap (Lafufu dools, Pokemon key rings, Brainrot towels). The vendors cover the houses with accessories that have nothing to do with the place. People use loudspeakers to promote their stuff. Some walk up to you trying to sell you some jewelry. My whole family were disgusted. We came for UNESCO sites and we're badly disappointed.
Jakub P — Google review
If you are staying nearby a visit to Old Nessebar is a must. We stayed in Sveti Vlas and got the boat over, which was nice too. It's a nice relaxed environment with some great history and nice places to eat too. We went in June and was told it got really busy in July and August, with narrow streets it could get very crowded.

The Southern Fortress Wall and Tower in Sozopol offer a glimpse into the ancient city's fortifications, with well-preserved sections including a watchtower, granary, and barracks. Knowledgeable guides bring history to life for visitors, providing insights into the centuries-old defenses against sea attacks. The site also features an ancient well dating back to the IV-III century BC.
Simply beautiful. I've been there on a warm, sunny day in October with hardly any tourist for a lovely quiet walk in this historic town.

Harmanite Beach, located on the Black Sea, boasts golden sands and gentle waves, making it a haven for sun-seekers and water sports enthusiasts. The crystal-clear waters are perfect for swimming, while the expansive shoreline is ideal for leisurely strolls. Situated just a 10-minute walk from Sozopol Central Beach, this pristine beach offers a quieter atmosphere away from the Old Town.
Beautiful clear sea and comfortable sun beds and beach sofas.

Nice beach, a lot of space for everyone. Clean sand. Life guard really doing her job ;)There's tons of bars and restaurants along the shore.
Olga R — Google review
This beach was quieter the the neighbouring bamboo beach when we were there. Harmanite beach it big & best of all lots of space to put your towel down unlike at Bamboo Beach. They also have a live small bar to enjoy a drink and watch the son go down
Ingrid — Google review
There were only a few people, and the waves were as usual – so we really enjoyed it. The price for 2 sunbeds and 1 umbrella was 24 leva. The beach was clean, we found a lot of shells. There was a lifeguard watching the beach, and many restaurants and shops nearby. The water was clean.
Ivan Š — Google review
Took off one star due to the lack of public toilets on the beach. In general, the beach is long, wide, clean. There are beach umbrellas and sun loungers for an additional charge. On the beach there are points to change clothes, rescue posts, cafes / restaurants. The entrance to the sea is shallow, sand. An ambulance is on duty nearby.
Iryna Z — Google review
I'd say it is overrated. The beach close to El Tubo is better than this.
Centrul S — Google review
This beach is not safe for kids. The sea entrance becomes deep at the beginning. The sand was dirty, no cleaning every day. The price for two people is 24 BGN (12.30 EUR). The restaurants and beach bars are located so near and the noise is huge.
Anna P — Google review
Amazing beach. The sand is fine and clean. The water is somewhat clean. It sometimes has seaweeds floating around but it’s not too bad. There are many great beach bars available at the beach with adequate prices as well as many fast food places. This beach is a 100% better the the other beach in Sozopol.

Castle of Ravadinovo

Castle
Sights & Landmarks
Winery
Whimsical fairytale-style castle with a wine cellar amid landscaped gardens with fountains & a lake.
We went as part of an organized trip to Sozopol and the surrounding areas, the castle was a great highlight of that tour, very unique and I'm glad we visited. You can only really view the grounds as the internals are still being worked on but still worth the trip if in the area. Lots to see nice photo opportunities with the family.
Ben T — Google review
I paid for 4 people 100 Lev, after you enter there is a beautiful garden to see, this is also the only thing you see besides the outside of the castle, they have been renovating the castle for 3 years now. For a payment of 10 Lev per person you could view 1 room in the castle. Too bad you pay so much for a garden and actually see nothing of the castle,
Ricco E — Google review
To be honest, I had some expectations regarding the "age" of this castle. Unfortunately, it is build 30 years ago to promote an abandoned area nearby Sozopol. It is maybe one of the most beautiful castles ever made, the garden is marvellous, and the caffè is just fine.
Andrei M — Google review
Very very beautiful from outside! But not sure if it is worth 20€ ticket as there is no museum only otside and garden. But beautiful and worth seeing at peast from outside
Eva G — Google review
I never give a 1 star review. This was on 2nd Sept as part of an organised coach trip. This attraction is not an historical castle with grounds but a 1994 built "artist's fantasy land" and gardens which is rather neglected in so many ways - bluey copper/brass/bronze tinge in old stone work, cloudy and densley populated fish pond, pointless statues, princess dressing up area and caged animals mixed together in crowded conditions. See other people's photos... This attractions adds no value other than confusion, unrelatability and a feeling of "get me out of here". You're greeted by a Knight who encourages you to have a photo with him, where his photographer rather rudely stops you from taking your OWN photos of this "pose", so that you're encouraged to buy theirs... The only upside was a shaded roundel seating area bar and cafe with plush chairs and a cocktail bar style centre piece. Cakes looked good. Good selection of drinks at reasonable prices. Either close the place or modernise it with a "relatable purpose".
Elizabeth C — Google review
This castle was somewhat disappointing. Visitors are not allowed inside the main castle building, except for the “Builder’s Room,” which requires an additional fee. Entry to the grounds and underground dinning room costs 40 BGN, with extra charges for all other attractions. The gardens are attractive and pleasant. However, many areas are in need maintenance work. The ponds and fountains need cleaning, the small zoo raises concerns, and the underground dining and ballroom areas are musty and in need of ventilation. Although the site photographs well, it requires significant upkeep to meet expectations.
Anisa Z — Google review
The place is beautiful but the price is 40 BGN, which is too expensive compared to another similar attractions. Moreover the entrance inside the castle is not allowed. Museum and owner room require additional 10 BGN payment to enter.
Vladyslav S — Google review
I should have read the reviews before visiting. The price you are paying is misleading you only have acces to the garden and a cellar. To see some of the rooms you need to pay extra for each one of them. For me it was not worth to pay extra all that we so was a kitsch mix of medieval, ancient Egypt, christian belives, Italian sculptures, English clock, Japanese garden, with a small zoo. All of this with a gypsy twist.

Kavatsite

Popular sandy stretch backed by hotels, with beach bars, restaurants & thatched umbrellas.
Top top beach place! The beach is nice, the sand is like powder, the water is calm and clear. There are nice bars and restaurants pretty much for everyone’s taste and budget. There is also free area and paid one. Most bars don’t charge extra for sitting if you consume there. Compared to the beaches in Sozopol this is high quality. There is a convenient bus from Sozopol and for 10-15 minutes you can be there.
Nina M — Google review
This could have been the perfect beach: long, with picturesque sand dunes, warm and clear blue water, perfect sand, clean enough, great view. BUT it is extremely noisy, the music is very loud from every existing bar, crowded and expensive. A perfect example of how to ruin a beautiful place.
Ana P — Google review
I tried to go back for a day or two to my childhood and memories. Alas, it's not like that. Overdeveloped territory. Overpopulated. Bonus - there remains this beautiful, clean, azure blue sea.
Simeon B — Google review
Just got back from Kavatsite Resort near Sozopol, and honestly, it was pretty disappointing. Here's the real deal: Getting Around: The infrastructure here is seriously lacking. Want to check out Sozopol? You're stuck taking a taxi because there's basically no other way to get there. We're talking about a measly 3.5km ride that'll cost you around 10 euros - that's Western European Uber pricing for what should be a quick local trip! Value for Money: The accommodation prices are just not justified by what you actually get. Most hotels and apartments are overpriced for the level of service and amenities they offer. You're paying premium rates for a mediocre experience. Beach Situation: Don't expect to find many free beach spots - most areas seem to be privatized or require payment. It really felt like every decent stretch of sand had a price tag attached. Bottom Line: This was another letdown from Bulgaria's Black Sea coast, which sadly isn't surprising anymore. If you're looking for good value where your money actually matches the experience, I'd honestly recommend checking out Croatia, Greece, Montenegro, or Turkey instead. These places know how to treat tourists right without breaking the bank. For those willing to spend a bit more, Italy and France rarely disappoint - you get what you pay for and then some. My take: Skip Kavatsite unless you enjoy overpaying for underwhelming experiences. There are way better coastal destinations out there that respect both your wallet and your vacation time. This is the view from my apartment, instead to have a nice small park you get something like a trash yard with trees😏

Wonderful beach! :) Probably one of the best organized beaches on Bulgarian seaside. Wonderful views, clean water, many cafeterias and bars, entertainment facilities and great sand which you cannot find in many places. :( Unfortunately not many free areas. In order to go and feel comfortable you have to pay at least 20 leva (10 euro) per day for umbrella and bed. Always crowdy during summer session.

We went for the night party - it’s quite pricey and crowded for me. The location is good the view from the terrace is amazing. If you want to be part of the party with more laughter music and see the DJ - you should ‘try’ to stay inside the club. ‘Try’ because it’s too crowded with many tables, decor, people shishas and no space for dancing. Overall the place is nice, but I would recommend other bars nearby, for more casual and dancing type of party.

Alexander S — Google review
I can say that we were very disappointed from everything. We were celebrating bachelorette party and we made reservation at least 1 month before. We were promised 2 tables as we were 15 girls. Before we got there we wanted to put small decoration like balloons etc. The staff rudely forbid us to do it. When we made the reservation, they requested deposit which was paid and nobody informed us that there will be an entry fee which I think that is important to mention. However, we paid and entered and when we got on our table we were disappointed to find out that we have only one small table for 15 people. It was crowded and some of the girls had no place to stay and they had to sit on the backrest of the sofa. I think that for the entrance you pay you should at least have a personal space where you can breathe and stay... next to us there was a bachelor party and they were positioned the same way without any personal space. When we talked to the manager they asked us if we are coming for the first time so I suppose it is a normal routine for this place. First and last time. :)
Vicky M — Google review
The music was completely inadequate, a five year old could've done a better job than DJ Matt May, literally nobody was dancing, people were just standing. The place was so full we could barely breathe, the ventilation was not enough and so on. Worst club going experience ever, by a long shot. Terrible.

It's an interesting view and it's cold inside the cave. It’s a nice adventure but I wasn't prepared for the steep climb, which gets narrower as you reach the exit and then you’ll go downhill from there. It is a well-maintained area, so there is paid parking for vehicles and an entrance fee to the cave. Restrooms, cafes and souvenir shops are available. Be careful to reach the cave at night, as the road to the cave is winding and there are no lighting poles. You may have to drive in pitch darkness in many areas.

(Translated by Google) Sokullu Mehmed Pasha probably started the construction of the complex in the early 1560s, when he had reached the peak of his profession. Documents such as inscriptions and foundation deeds, as well as the style features in architecture and decoration, indicate that the complex was completed in 1569 and at the latest in the early 1570s. The design and construction of the complex were carried out by the chief architect of the period, Sinan, and his Imperial Architects' Guild. It can be said that Sinan designed a range complex in line with Sokullu's wishes as a result of the dialogues he is thought to have established with the benefactors. In this context, Sokullu did not want to see Lüleburgaz only as a range, and made incentive initiatives to encourage people from the surrounding area to come and settle, such as a madrasah, primary school, water supply and various structures that would contribute to its becoming a center of attraction. The backbone of the complex is the arasta, which consists of fifty-nine shops and a prayer dome built on both sides of the road through which the historical Istanbul-Edirne-Central Europe route passes. The mosque, madrasah and primary school are located to the south of the arasta, while the caravanserai, soup kitchen and tabhane are located to the north. According to the design, the double bathhouse is to the east, the houses built for some personnel and the fountain are to the west, and the bridge is further away on the stream again to the west. In terms of architecture, the prayer dome connects the north and south block structures. Thus, the complex was built with an extremely functional and logical project. In this respect, the symmetry, proportion and rhythm relationship in the complex, which falls into the group of geometric complexes, are remarkable in terms of material, technique and workmanship. The horizontal and vertical emphasis in the structures, the use of a common courtyard and a double narthex and the prayer dome scheme are typical features identified with Sinan. The work does not reflect the appearance and identity of a provincial complex, but rather shows similarities with the works of Istanbul. The mosque, madrasah and primary school of the structures that make up the complex form a whole. The plan of the mosque reflects the variations within itself of single-space mosques. The place of worship is covered with a dome. In the north, a large-sized inner courtyard with a fountain in the center stands out with a double narthex. The single-balcony minaret in the northwest emphasizes the structure vertically. The structure, which is the largest mosque in the city today, is well-maintained and in good condition with repairs. The hazire in the south was recently removed and the sundial has also been lost. There is a room for the imams at each corner where the courtyard and the narthex intersect. The outer structure of the fountain in the center of the courtyard, which is entered by a door from each of the three directions, does not conform to the general scheme. The inscription was renewed during the reign of Mahmud II. The madrasah consists of the main classroom room, student and staff rooms and toilets placed on three sides of the courtyard except the south. The structure, which is in good condition, is used for various purposes today. The primary school built to the south of the mosque is a single-room and covered with a dome. The basement of the Fevkani building was actually the water distribution network of the complex. The large number of shops next to and around the building shows the busyness of the road and the commercial wealth of the region. The large building mass where the caravanserai, soup kitchen and boarding house were located was accessed from the arasta through a portal with a construction inscription on it. Only the entrance door, the attendant's room next to it and some chimneys and niches belonging to the stables have survived to our time from the caravanserai, which was demolished by the mayor of the period in 1935. Today, there is a parking lot and a road in the place of the soup kitchen, soup kitchen and inner courtyard, which have been completely destroyed. In summary: Lüleburgaz Sokullu Mehmet Pasha Complex, It is spread over a wide area at the entrance of Lüleburgaz district. The complex, which was built in 1569-1570 (H.977) for worship, trade and education purposes, has the characteristics of a complex with its mosque, arched shops, inn, bath and madrasah. However, the complex, which has been subject to various damages, today presents the appearance of a completely independent structure.

Stunning view and great wine tasting experience

Amazing place and an amazing experience. The venue is very spacious and really peaceful. There’s a big beautiful garden overlooking the sea. The vineyard is also right in front of you. The rooms are also very beautiful, spacious and comfortable. Very high quality experience overall. You can drink as much vine as you want, accompanied by cheese plates. The food was also very tasty and the portions were really big. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. It is a pet and kid friendly place. However, I think it is best for couples or group of friends. They also give you a tour of the facilities, the manager was a very friendly, pleasant and knowledgable person who helped us out with the vine selection and provided us with lots of useful insights. Definitely worth a visit.

We stayed one night at Barbare Vineyards and overall had a nice experience. The food was delicious and served in very generous portions, we were already full before the main dish arrived. They were also very accommodating and kindly switched the main dish to a vegetarian option at the last minute, which we really appreciated. The wine tasting and tour was good as well. Considering the package included three meals, two bottles of wine, and two wine tastings (one with the tour one at dinner), the price–performance ratio was outstanding. The only downside was the noise from other guests’ children. A place like this would benefit from either an age limit or at least stricter rules around quiet hours. Unfortunately, kids were playing and screaming loudly right outside the rooms between 11 PM and 1:30 AM, making it impossible to sleep. Despite politely warning them twice, the situation didn’t improve, and their parents were nowhere to be seen. While I don’t understand why guests would bring children and let them roam unsupervised, I also feel the staff could have intervened to ensure a more peaceful environment at night.

We had a wonderful stay for 1 night at Barbare. The room was cozy and comfortable and we had a great view of the sea and vineyard, and the food was wonderful. What really made the stay so great though was the staff. They were very kind and accommodating and helpful. Despite us arriving late and missing the set times for the wine tasting, they did an after hours wine tasting for us and were so nice. Would definitely come back again, either for a night's stay or even just a day excursion to enjoy the views, wine and good conversation with the staff.

Very pleasant mall to shop thanks to the ‘open architecture’. However in recent years just like in every big city in Turkey: at the entrance you will find refugee and gypsy kids doing things kids should never be allowed to do and no one bats an eye.

Very good place in the city center, many shops, with a huge selection of equipment, clothes, shoes, household goods. On the 1st floor there is a large supermarket "Carrefour", there is a cafe, restaurant and many places for fast food. On the street in front of the mall you can take a taxi, safely and at a good price. The staff is very friendly.

Orion Shopping Center

Shopping mall
Shopping
Energetic shopping complex providing department stores, boutiques, casual eateries & a cinema.
The mall is divided in 2. So you have Orion 1 and 2. In between there is a huge supermarket. The malls are really well stocked. Quite a few discouts and diversiry of shops. But it can get very busy between 12h and 18h
S. L — Google review
It is a rather small and old shopping mall but still got hundreds of customers every day. Did not changed its appearance for years. It has become the eye of Corlu.
SE V — Google review
The center has plenty of stores, there is parking but barely anyone speaks English so it's not very convenient for tourists. We chose Burger king with hopes the staff would understand bare minimum of English, to no avail. After trying to use gestures to point at the menu we gave up as the lady at the tills just started speaking Turkish and laughing at us.
Kalin K — Google review
Let the management of the Orion Corlu shopping center pay particular attention, as some companies located on the ground floor of the shopping center and operating with mobile phone repairs, do not issue receipts for their services, nor do they accept returns of products they sell, even within 15 days, based on international legislation that protects consumers and which of course also applies in Turkey.
Kennedy S — Google review
You can come to this mall for cinema, technology store and clothes. However, since the dining area is narrow, it gets crowded. There is no shortage of parking. In addition, there are two more shopping centers located near this place.
Ertan S — Google review
You'll get anything here you'll need. It's nothing authentic or original considering the Turkish culture, but anything you can get in nearly any other mall around the globe... it's appealing and friendly, bathrooms are very clean (and free of charge ;-) The cell-phone services on the ground floor are very helpful. Especially the gentleman towards the West side!

Great place, nice ambiance, very good service! Keep going 👍🏻
Maria D — Google review
Barel Winery: For People Who Want to Say They Went to a Winery (But Really Didn’t) If you’re looking for an authentic winery experience—complete with vineyards, knowledgeable staff, and a deep dive into the art of winemaking—keep driving. Barel Winery is far from being a real winery. Instead, it’s an overpriced restaurant with a wine list, perfect for those who want to snap a picture and tell their friends they “visited a winery” without actually doing so. The ambiance? Nice enough. The prices? High enough to make you wonder if you accidentally bought the vineyard itself. The experience? More “fine dining with a wine theme” than an actual winery visit. If you’re genuinely interested in wine—how it’s made, how it tastes at different stages, or even just a decent tasting experience—do yourself a favor and go to Badur or Chateau Nuzun instead. Barel might be the perfect spot if your goal is to impress your Instagram followers. But if you want a real winery experience? Look elsewhere.

Florya Güneş Plajı, located on the shores of the Sea of Marmara in Istanbul, is a popular city beach known for its relaxing atmosphere and convenient amenities. Visitors can enjoy sunbathing, swimming, and various leisure activities while taking in the beautiful surroundings. The beach offers facilities such as beach umbrellas, benches, and sun loungers for a comfortable experience. Additionally, there are beachfront restaurants where visitors can dine and unwind by the sea.
Went on a Monday, got there around 9.30. It was not crowded and rather nice. Entrance fee is 120tl, and for students 60tl, sun beds and parasol included. It was calm and not too deep though, but still be careful. You can't bring food, they will confiscate it and give it back when you're leaving... there a cafeteria to buy food from but I didn't try it. The only downside is the cigarette butts everywhere. There's a showed head outside, so you can rence off the sand but can't really shower since everyone can see.. and there's clean restrooms and lockers. The transportation was easy as well. There's a life guard watching.
Lina B — Google review
There are sunbeds but most of them are not usable. The sand is full of cigarettes. The sea is not deep but there is a lot of algae. The food they sell is sandwiches and burgers which are not worth the price. The iced coffee tastes bad. Overall, it is a good place but needs a lot of improvement.

entry fee was 120 TL, sunbeds were free, feels like an industrial area with all the boats jn the distance. Problem is with the water: it was full of seaweed-like stuff, loads of jellyfish, plastic, even cigarettes.
Kákonyi B — Google review
On the first glance, we were happy to see that beautiful view. But when you come closer, you can see a lot of trash in the sand. The sea is covered with seaweed and we didn't want to swim here. For sunbathing or relaxing, ok, just take spare blankets for cover because parasols are tricky. Entrance: 120 TRY

Great for: Family, Couples, Sunset Views, Photography, Relaxing Walks Florya Beach is one of the hidden gems of Istanbul, offering a peaceful escape from the city's fast pace. With its clean shoreline, relaxing walking paths, and panoramic views of the Marmara Sea, this spot is perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy nature without going far from the city center. 🏖️ Beach & Environment: The beach area is well-maintained with soft sand and crystal-clear water (especially during summer months). It's a great place to sunbathe, have a picnic, or just sit and enjoy the calming sound of the waves. 🌅 Sunset Spot: This is one of the BEST places in Istanbul to watch the sunset. The golden hour over the sea is magical — perfect for romantic walks or stunning Instagram photos. 🚶‍♂️ Walking & Cycling Paths: There are long coastal walkways and bicycle paths surrounded by green areas. It's a safe and quiet place for families, joggers, and nature lovers. 🍔 Nearby Cafés & Restaurants: You’ll find plenty of places nearby for tea, coffee, or a meal with a sea view. Many locals enjoy their weekends here because of the relaxing vibes and easy access. 🚗 Transportation & Access: Florya is easily reachable via Marmaray or Metrobus. There is also public parking available nearby. 🧽 Cleanliness & Safety: The beach and surrounding park area are usually very clean and well-patrolled, making it suitable for families with kids. 💬 Final Review: If you're in Istanbul and need a calm, beautiful place by the sea, Florya Beach is the perfect getaway. Highly recommended for a day of peace, nature, and unforgettable sunsets. 💙🌊🌅

When it comes to experiencing Istanbul’s enchanting charm, few activities can rival a sunset cruise on the Bosphorus. On my recent trip, I had the pleasure of booking this incredible journey through the Istanbul E-pass, which included authentic Turkish snacks. It turned out to be a perfect blend of breathtaking views, delicious treats, and unforgettable moments.Planning a sunset cruise on the Bosphorus was hassle-free, thanks to the Istanbul E-pass. The iconic landmarks of Istanbul, the Dolmabahçe Palace, Ortaköy Mosque, and the Bosphorus Bridge looked even more majestic under the warm evening light. The cruise offered panoramic views of both the European and Asian sides of the city, giving a unique perspective of Istanbul’s duality. What made this cruise stand out wasn’t just the views or the snacks, it was the overall vibe. One particularly unforgettable moment was standing at the edge of the boat, feeling the wind on my face as I admired the glittering skyline. It was a moment of pure bliss and connection with the city. The Istanbul Bosphorus sunset cruise was a highlight of my trip, offering an evening filled with beauty, culture, and enjoyment. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a seasoned traveler, this cruise is a must-do to experience the soul of Istanbul.

We did the cruise in the evening time from when it was bright under the sun till it got dark and the shades changed into night lights. Would definitely recommend, both sides of the Bosphorus have lots of iconic monuments and views to watch out for.

It encompasses residential buildings along with a sprawling shopping area of about 176 thousand m2 featuring nearly 300 shops offering a wide array of international and local brands. Notably, it houses the renowned IKEA store specializing in apartment furniture and the Snow Museum, a popular attraction drawing large crowds during holidays and events.
Forum Istanbul is a massive shopping and entertainment hub in Bayrampaşa, featuring 280+ stores like IKEA, Zara, and Decathlon. Highlights include SEA LIFE Aquarium with Turkey’s longest ocean tunnel, LEGOLAND, and Cinemaximum. Great for families, but expect weekend crowds and cramped elevators

Forum Istanbul Mall is one of my go-to spots for shopping and dining. The variety of stores is fantastic, and I always find what I’m looking for, whether it’s fashion, electronics, or more. The restaurants are top-notch, offering a range of high-quality food options that never disappoint. The mall itself is spacious, clean, and well-organized, making every visit a pleasant experience. It’s definitely a top choice for a great day out in the city!

A spacious and calm mall with a great selection of both local and international brands. The atmosphere is relaxed, making it a pleasant place to shop and explore. I visited in January, so the video includes holiday decorations.

One of the finest malls with a collection of Turkish and other International brands.I enjoyed shopping. I didn’t find any outlet store here. But the shopping was exclusive and quality.
Parikhshit S — Google review
Good if you are looking for well known brands, prices are the same as in Europe, don't expect to pay less than in your home country.
Patrick I — Google review
My kids and I like it! There are different brands; clothes, shoes and even well-known restaurants and coffee. The lego land and sea life are great to enjoy with your kids. There is a food court but we prefer to eat in IKEA as it is so close, 2 minutes walking.
Razan T — Google review
What I really appreciate about this mall is the light. The architecture allows for natural light to pass most of the day, which makes (me) for a good time strolling around. Food is good, many good stores, entrance is impressive and you almost go directly inside from the metro station. Sealife aquarium is also there and it's a great place to visit with kids.

Aquarium
SEA LIFE is a family-friendly aquarium and entertainment center located in Istanbul, Turkey. It is the largest aquarium in the country, featuring 9 thematic areas such as Stingray Bay Ocean Tank and Shark Kingdom. With 47 display tanks and over 15,000 sea creatures, it offers an impressive experience for visitors. The aquarium also hosts weekend workshops for children to explore their creativity and learn about underwater life.
It was stunning! There is a big variety of species of different sizes. My favorite part was the glass tunnel with sharks and stingrays swimming around you. There were open aquariums as well. It was really wonderful! There are also a lot of game activities for kids. Definitely recommend this place both for adults and kids. You’ll enjoy it immensely!
Angelina D — Google review
Sadly when we went not all sectors where open but still we had a lot of fun. It wasn't very crowded and we took a lot of pics of cool fish in colorful aquariums. They also sell some cute souvenirs at the end with pirate hats and hooks etc ...
Elias A — Google review
I was quite disappointed as the full aquarium was 'under construction'. Everything else was good enough, but we were really looking forward to seeing the sharks! And somehow, we still paid the full price for 1/2 of the collection! Also, be careful as everything is purposefully created to leech as much money off of you - especially the pictures at the end of the aquarium.
M D — Google review
Nice and impressive place, too bad the big aquarium was not working and we paid the whole ticket - the experience was somehow not complete. Don't be fooled by the photos at the top of the aquarium, they are nice but extremely expensive!
Ivo I — Google review
A great spot for kids. Not as many varieties of animals that I expected, but still a lot. The place is huge, and they have a lot of places to swim around. There are sharks, sepia, giant tortoise, a big hall and tunnels, even benches along the way, so you can sit and enjoy the view. I definitely recommend buying tickets in advance for not only it is cheaper, but you won't have to wait in lines. Service is very kind, and in the end, there is a cute store with funny merch :)) Very good strategy.
Marin K — Google review
The whole aquarium is worth visiting once. Especially the big hall where the giant turtle is there has a relaxing atmosphere. It's really entertaining for the kids. A small playground, lego is great for them. But in my mind, the price is a bit high.
Mohsen S — Google review
The selection of fish is great. They also have a nice tunnel that goes right through the big tank, but the number of fish in it was quite low. I guess it's an advantage for them because they have a lot of space to roam around. The other tanks were much better. I think this is the aquarium where I've seen the most clown fish in a single tank. I recommend going here, even though it was quite far from the city center. It was also quiet and there weren't too many visitors.
Mihai B — Google review
One of the best aquariums that I've been to. Each area of the aquarium as a theme, there's a ton of little stations for little explorers (it's a great place for kids) and a plethora of amazing tid bits of information about the fish in each of the tanks. There are bathrooms in the aquarium so you don't have to worry if someone needs to go. This place also has the longest underwater tunnel in all of Europe. It's really cool to see the stingrays and sharks swimming over top of you. Definitely a great was to spend an afternoon. Without a doubt it's a great experience.

Istanbul Aquarium is a renowned marine complex in the Bakirkoy area, boasting over 1,500 species of marine creatures. The aquarium features large tanks that replicate diverse marine environments and house sea turtles, piranhas, and more. Visitors can even dive with sharks in the shark pool if they have a diving certificate. Additionally, the complex offers a gift shop, restaurant, and various recreational activities for an enjoyable experience.
It’s a beautiful place with plenty to enjoy. Unfortunately, we missed the aquarium since it closes at 8 pm, so be sure to arrive earlier if you’d like to visit. Beyond that, there are many activities nearby—shopping, trying a variety of delicious foods (Turkish and international), or simply relaxing while watching the sunset from the balcony. I highly recommend this stay!

Great experience for everybody, adults and kids. Nice displays and aquariums. Also the South Pole setup with penguins and the tropical forest with Piranhas. Good for a day with rainy weather or a very hot summer day.
Alex A — Google review
Visited with my two children and it was a great experience. My son really loved the interactive ship wreck section, and we all loved the Amazon rainforest forest section. The different sections at the aquarium educated on the various fish found around Türkiye region, which was very interesting. Also loved some of the history / folklore included, like Hercules and the statue of Poseidon. We also did the VR underwater movie experience which was educational and experiential.
Rachma H — Google review
A really beautiful place to visit, especially on a rainy day — my warm recommendation! It’s very easy to reach by public transport, as the metro goes directly there without any transfers. In the aquarium, besides seeing many different species of fish and a few animals from the tropical rainforest, you can also learn a lot about history and many other interesting and educational facts. The whole environment is stunning — you can really tell how much effort they put into the aesthetic and design. In addition to exploring the aquarium itself, they also offer an exhibition called “Giants of the Sea” and a VR experience. To be honest, the “Giants of the Sea” exhibition was a bit disappointing — I expected a bit more. There are only four animals on display, and the space is quite small, so you don’t get the chance to learn much about them. It would be great if they developed that part a bit further. The VR experience didn’t impress me too much either, and the line was very long, which took up a lot of time. What annoyed me the most was people’s rudeness in the queue — for example, one family member would stand in line while the rest were wandering around, and then all of them (sometimes six or more) would cut in once it was their turn. I can understand people being rude, but I think the staff should pay more attention to that and not allow such things, because it makes the wait even longer for everyone else. We waited about an hour and a half for the VR, and honestly, the line would have moved much faster if people weren’t constantly cutting in. I also recommend getting the combined ticket if you plan to visit the exhibition, try the VR, and take a souvenir photo — it’s all included in the package, and it’s a bit cheaper than paying for each activity separately. You can also buy tickets online, which is a big advantage so you don’t have to wait in line. But even if you buy them on-site, there are many open counters, so everything moves quite quickly. Overall, my warm recommendation for visiting this aquarium — a lovely and educational experience for all ages! 🥰

Amazing place! So beautiful! You can tell its made with love to the animals, they take very good care of them ! Perfect for family kids and adults. Definitely a must if you are going to Istanbul!
Elena Y — Google review
The staff member at the entrance was rude and unpleasant, insisting we take a photo we didn’t want to. That spoiled the experience a little. But the aquarium itself is really worth seeing - it’s beautiful, clean, and has different zones. Very atmospheric! Definitely visit if you’re interested in the underwater world or just want to have an interesting time alone or with your family 🩵

The Istanbul Aquarium was a really nice experience! It’s big, well-organized, and you can see a huge variety of sea animals from all around the world. The decoration and atmosphere make you feel like you’re really under the sea. It’s also super interesting and fun for children, they’ll love discovering all the different species. Perfect place to visit for families or anyone who loves marine life!
Samira — Google review
This is a nice aquarium though not like those in the US. There aren't any massive animals, or even a great many at that. Where it does shine is that they do a great job tying in Turkish history to the waterways that nearly surround the country. If you want to combine history with an aquarium, this is your place. Also, the aquarium is part of a larger shopping mall with a ton of stores and a food court that can be found on the top floor. Tons of places to eat with a massive variety available. You can overlook the water while you eat which is quite peaceful. This is a great 25-50% of a day killer also if you're looking to avoid weather. Tourist friendly, filled with gracious locals and staff, and away from the vast majority of tourist areas. Metro station across the street, which is not hard to use.

The Church of Saint Anthony of Padua (St. Antuan Kilisesi) is located along the busy Istiklal Caddesi in the Beyoğlu District. This is a early 20th-century Catholic Church built in Italian Neo-Gothic style by architect Giulio Mongeri upon the grounds of an earlier 17th-century church building. Opening hours are 8am to 7.30pm (Mon to Sat) and 9am to 7.30pm (Sun) and entry is free. What you find is a courtyard with statue of Pope John XXIII and a decorative red brick facade with a large rose window above the entrance. Within, the church has a distinctive Catholic and Neo-gothic feel with narrow nave, vaulted high ceiling, stained glass windows and an attractive yet humble altar. There is a wooden case with image of St. Anthony of Padua within the church as well. On the whole, this is an interesting church that very much feels like something that belongs somewhere in Italy compared to the predominantly Greek Orthodox churches encountered elsewhere around Istanbul.

One of the oldest Catholic churches in Turkey in the Church of Saint Anthony. The interior is majestic, and the architecture of the building is superb. You can enter freely, though you should remember that it is still a place of worship, so manners must be kept in mind and not much loud talking should take place.

St. Antuan Church in Beyoğlu, Istanbul, is the city's one of the largest Roman Catholic church, located on İstiklal Avenue. Originally built in 1725 by the Italian community, the current neo-Gothic structure was completed in 1912 by architect Giulio Mongeri. It has historical significance as Pope John XXIII preached there during his time in Turkey (I believe 1960s). The church remains active today, offering multilingual Masses and reflecting Istanbul's diverse cultural fabric. Its striking architecture and central location make it a key spiritual and tourist landmark.
Tunç K — Google review
You will not notice at first that the Church is there! It’s kinda hidden from the metal gates. I’m a Roman Catholic and was lucky and blessed enough to attend a mass while visiting Istanbul. When there’s a Mass, they will not allow tourists to go inside the building. The inside is very pretty and well taken care of. There’s a place where you can light candles and pray.

Rustem Pasha Mosque

Mosque
Sights & Landmarks
Rustem Pasha Mosque is a hidden gem in Istanbul, dating back to the 16th century. It was designed by the renowned Ottoman architect Mimar Sinan for Rustem Pasha, the Grand Vizier at that time. The mosque's interior is adorned with an impressive display of blue Iznik tiles featuring intricate floral and geometric patterns, making it a must-visit for those interested in Turkish history and culture.
Absolutely gorgeous inside with all the blue colored tiles. It's very understated from the outside but beautiful inside. From Wikipedia "It was built by Mimar Sinan in 1561 for Damat Rüstem Pasha, one of Suleiman the Magnificent 's Grand Viziers and the husband of his daughter Mihrimah Sultan . The 1562 water property registry (Konyalı) states that the mosque was completed. However, despite this statement, Mimar Sinan was still busy determining and preparing the mosque's location in 1562. Its completion may have been estimated between 1562 and 1564. The previous masjid on the site of the mosque is known as the Halil Efendi Masjid or the Kenise (Church) Masjid. Because the site of this masjid was located in a hollow, Mimar Sinan built shops underneath the masjid, creating a basement. The Rüstem Pasha Mosque was built on its site."

I visited the Rüstem Pasha Mosque today and it was truly amazing. The architecture is breathtaking, with its elegant domes and tall minarets creating a serene atmosphere. Inside and outside, everything is clean and well-maintained, making it a peaceful place to pray or simply enjoy the beauty of the design. The people were welcoming and respectful, which made my visit even more special. I highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.
Samira S — Google review
So this historic mosque was semi-difficult to find in the spice bazaar; after Google maps brought me to the endpoint of my route, I eventually found a plaque next to an open door that said the name. Love that all are welcome here, beautiful architecture on the outside, and very famous iznik tiles patterns on the inside. You are welcome to take photos inside as long as you don’t cross the line for prayer, and your shoes are off. Everything about this mosque is aesthetic. It was peaceful and I am grateful to have prayed here.
Alex F — Google review
A peaceful environment inside the masjid with a separate section and entrance for women. Outside in the courtyard, the noise of the people from tons of shops around can be quite irritating. All in all a typical look to the beautiful mosque design and feel as the traditional mosques here. A huge ring of lights just under the main dome adds to the beauty of Turkish feel of mosques.
Rehman S — Google review
I was truly awed by the beauty of this mosque. Tucked away above the bustling streets, it feels like stepping into a hidden gem. The Iznik tile work is breathtaking, with intricate patterns and vibrant colors that surround you in every direction. It’s peaceful, intimate, and filled with history — a place that leaves a lasting impression and peace.
Chirine D — Google review
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hidden gem that makes other mosques look positively understated 💎🎨 Rüstem Paşa Camii is what happens when a 16th-century grand vizier decides to show off - and thank goodness he did. Tucked away above the shops near the Egyptian Bazaar, this architectural marvel is Istanbul's best-kept secret hiding in plain sight. The climb up those narrow stairs might leave you slightly breathless, but nothing prepares you for the visual assault waiting inside. This place is absolutely dripping in İznik tiles - and I mean proper, gorgeous, museum-quality ceramics covering nearly every surface. The floral patterns, geometric designs, and that distinctive blue-and-white palette create a kaleidoscope effect that'll have you spinning around like a kid in a sweet shop. What's brilliant about this mosque is how it punches well above its weight. It's smaller than the big-name mosques, but the attention to detail is absolutely extraordinary. Every tile, every pattern, every colour choice screams quality over quantity. Sinan knew exactly what he was doing when he designed this beauty. The best part? It's usually blissfully quiet compared to the tourist crowds elsewhere. You can actually take your time to appreciate the craftsmanship without someone's selfie stick poking you in the ribs. Pro tip: The lighting is magical in late afternoon when the sun streams through the windows and hits those tiles just right. Pure Instagram gold, but more importantly, pure architectural poetry.
Tom D — Google review
Rüstem Pasha Mosque is smaller than other famous mosques nearby, but it is very special. The İznik tiles are beautiful—blue, red, and white patterns cover the walls and make the place feel peaceful and artistic. You can see that the builders worked with great care and skill, just like in the big mosques. It’s quiet, not crowded, and perfect if you want to enjoy the art and take your time. A hidden treasure in Istanbul!
