I felt sorry of the ocean, full of chairs, umbrella, tables on the beach and food stalls, so commercial. and many rubbish, cigarettes 🚬, plastic stuff, and the water has floating oil and ting rubbish that's really disgusting. I understand why the beach provide shower for tourists because the water is polluted. I think this beach is over rated.

Beautiful place. Water is pristine clear, but you have to keep eyes on the tides to be able to enjoy and have a complete experience

For me, this place is full of scammers because I'm probably disappointed with how Maragozi was, everyone was coming back. It's probably everywhere. They try to rip you off, starting from the parking lot. Someone calls you "park" and goes there. Turn this way, the wrong way. Take a boat at the end. Take a raft or a kayak. Swim 6 meters and tell them to dive to see the fish. Then they take you back. For me, this isn't an attraction that can be considered paid. You could just as easily grab a mask and go somewhere quiet. It's completely overrated and just a scam. I think there are more people, sunscreen, and everything else in the water than fish. So, it's just a guy with trained fish feeding them and saying he can take a photo, for an additional fee, of course. So, absolutely not. I don't recommend such places. I've been here at least in the main port and in Maragozi.

(Translated by Google) A natural spectacle: crystal-clear waters formed between coral reefs, ideal for floating and observing colorful fish — a raft trip or a walk during low tide makes it all the more special. Plan for low tide, bring a snorkel or water shoes, and enjoy one of the most iconic sights on the Pernambuco coast. (Original) Um espetáculo natural: águas cristalinas formadas entre recifes de coral, ideais para flutuar e observar peixes coloridos — o passeio de jangada ou a caminhada durante a maré baixa tornam tudo ainda mais especial. Great view...on the refinery. It's full of plastic and petrol residue. Water fills like a rotten soup. To complete, tens of buildings under construction right on the beach. Such a shame. It could be such a beautiful place

Very beautiful beach. With natural pools and warm water. The accees to the beach is somewhat hard, lots of buildings on the way. Parking lot is reasonable, but food at beach restaurants is expensive. The view and nature make it woth visiting. You can try the food carts or stands along the beach, they are way too delicious than the food at the restaurants and they are cheap :)

Ingá Stone - PB

Archaeological site
Sights & Landmarks
Historic Sites
Beautiful stone with well preserved petrogplyphs from the indiginous people. The stone is a bit in the middle of no where and when we visited we were the only people. There is a total of four places were you can clearly see petroglyphs. The main stone carving resembles a flood with a wave, followed by plants, palms and people. Some stone carvings also seem to represent stars. The site also has an information panel and many trees/plants have an information sign explaining what the plant is. There is also a small museum with an entrance of 5 real. Overall, really worth visiting this archeoligical site. The entrance is surprisingly free and the access road is in good conditions. The walking path to and around the Ingá stone are in good condition but some places might be difficult to walk for older people.

Aku R — Google review
The Ingá Stone is located in the middle of the Ingá River in the small Brazilian city of Ingá (know you know how it got its name). What is it? It’s a rock formation that is covered with petroglyphs (or stone picture carvings). The prehistoric carvings were done over time and the most recent additions may have been added as recently as the 18th Century—all done by local native tribes. The meaning and/or purpose of these carvings is unknown and undeciphered. Some of the carvings resemble animals, fruits, the Orion Constellation and other less-easily distinguishable figures. The carvings are also known as the Itacoatiara do Ingá (pronounced: “EEta- cwa – tiara”), which is the name in the Tupi language of the original natives. “Ita” means stone and “coatiara” means picture. This is not the only such site with carvings in this part of Brazil, but it is one of the biggest. Still, when we visited, there was nobody here. The northeast of Brazil is less-visited by tourists than the south; this site sits 100 kilometers (60 miles) from the capital of the state, so that also contributes to the lack of tourism, but that’s good for you if you do go! To get there, the roads aren’t bad and you can find it on your Waze or Google Maps. I was really impressed with this site and I was very glad I visited. Casa-Museu Mestre Vitalino is a captivating destination for anyone interested in the rich history of handicraft art from Brazil's Northeast region. This charming museum is located in the very home where the renowned artist Mestre Vitalino spent his final years, and he even built it himself! Today, it serves as a tribute to his legacy, showcasing reproductions of his remarkable work. Managed by his grandchildren, this intimate space offers visitors a glimpse into the life and artistry of Mestre Vitalino.
Great place to learn about the history of Brazilian North east handicraft art. This is the house where Mestre Vitalino used to live at the end of his life. He constructed the house itself. Now it hosts a museum about him amd there are some reproductions of his work. The museum is taken care of by his grand children. Entrance is 2 real and there is parking closeby. The museum also has some reproduction art that you can buy.

The picturesque surroundings provide a serene atmosphere perfect for relaxation and rejuvenation.

It's one of the best parks in the city, especially for a walk, with good tracks and signals throughout the way. However, it is not that clean nor a really beautiful place. There's almost no other plant than eucalyptus, since this tree release substances that usually supress any other kind of plant. Then there's no grass to rest and play on, and soil is exposed and hard, except in the fields for games such as volleyball and soccer, where the ground is sand. During the Winter Festival, special events are held in here, such as concerts, art demonstrations and circus.

They only offer 1 sample for their cachaça range and it was very disappointing as we were expecting to try at least a couple or 3 of them to decide which ones to buy. I have been told that in past you had the option to do exactly that and actually try multiple samples of different types of cachaça. I am giving 3 stars instead of 2 just because the place looks pretty and instagrammable, although not worth the 25 reais entry fee.

(Translated by Google) Hello, my Campina Grande, whoever saw you and whoever sees you will never recognize you again :) We were in Campina Grande, Paraíba, on August 7, 2024, after approximately 10 years. * It was a true reunion of souls, as I'm from Campina Grande, and revisiting the city brought back many special memories from the time I lived there for 18 long years. * We visited the Açude Velho, which for me is Campina Grande's most beautiful landmark. The place is stunning, right in the heart of the city. The promenade around the reservoir is widely used for walking, running, cycling, and events, offering a safe, spacious, and pleasant space for those who enjoy outdoor physical activities. * The surrounding nature, the view of the buildings, and the incredible sunset make the place even more special. It's easy to understand why it's one of the city's main tourist attractions. Besides the scenery, there are historical sites nearby, two museums, and the Parque da Criança (Children's Park) nearby. There are also parking spaces, making visiting the area much easier. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, and kiosks. It's definitely worth visiting or revisiting. A true symbol of Campina Grande, it makes for great photos and memories.

Dozens of enormous boulders scattered on a plateau with panoramic views over an arid landscape.
Very nice location. Be aware you can only access trough Cabaceiras. Google may guide you via the 412 and Aldeia but that road is closed. You need to buy tickets at Hotel Faizenda Pia Mateus. Guide is included in ticket price. Guide speaks Portuguese only.

First, this is a difficult place to visit. A group guide is required, that is available only at the fazeda (hotel) near the entrance. Secondly, know that reaching the hotel involves driving about 45 minutes on rough gravel roads. The tour is set-time, staring at 4:00 PM and ending after dark. Thus you are driving back to the paved road on dark gravel roads. Now for the tour. The group will walk a couple of miles with a serious incline. This is not mountain climbing, but rigorous for old and fat people. The group stops at various location to observe the "Flintstones" terrain. There are indeed odd rocks, massive boulders scattered about. Nothing comparable in the USA. The end of the walk is on top, with a perfect view of the surrounding valley and sunset. Take lots of photos. Tnis is highly recommended, if the logistics are not too scary. Oh, if you want you can eat and lodge at the hotel. This will avoid the nighttime drive back across the unpaved roads.

No admittion fee. There were definitely real dinosaur tracks in a couple different layers of what was obviously mud but became stone. The mud was pushed up around the tracks in silted mud that later dry cracked and became petrified. Not just a big hammer and chisel job I was expecting to find when I went there. It's worth taking a look if you're in the area. Also there were some friendly monkeys in the wild that wanted to be fed. Nestled within the Horto complex, the Casarão do Padre Cícero is a captivating historical mansion that offers visitors a glimpse into the life of one of Brazil's most revered figures. This well-preserved site serves as a living museum, showcasing artifacts that belonged to Padre Cícero and reflecting both his personal history and that of Juazeiro do Norte.
(Translated by Google) First of all, if you need a guided tour of this or any other museum in the city, contact @juazeiroguia. Padre Cícero's mansion is a museum that was once one of the priest's residences. The place is well organized and clean. At the entrance, you can count on an automatic alcohol gel dispenser that you just need to put your hand under and it releases the alcohol without having to press. This house is where the living museum is located, with sculptures made to the size of characters from the history of Juazeiro. There are four scenes in total (one in the dining room, in the bedroom with the priest in the hammock, in the room of the heart of Jesus, in the office and the last one in the chapel). There is also a huge amount of "ex-votos", which are objects left by pilgrims for a grace received. In the museum, you can drink water from clay pots and buy souvenirs. It is a great place for those who like popular culture and history. The museum does not have guides. So if you need a guide to tell you the whole story of the city and Father Cicero, you can contact @juazeiroguia. (Leave a like so I know if I helped you in any way 😅) (Original) Primeiramente se você precisa de uma visita guiada nesse ou em qualquer museu da cidade, entre em contato com a @juazeiroguia.

There is also a living museum that you can visit with pieces that belonged to the priest and reflect a little of his history and that of Juazeiro do Norte itself. The atmosphere of faith and devotion in a space that brings back memories of the reality of the first half of the 21st century in the region is striking.

Nice collection of marine fossils, all gathered locally. The English thought guide was an added plus.
