They have a huge parking lot, we slept without any problems and were able to enjoy everything before the tour buses arrived!! Beautiful and peaceful place. We rented the boat and had lunch at the restaurant. Delicious food! The ribs are the best we've ever had!! You have to try them! They have a vast menu. The boat costs €20 per hour. the kayak tour is also very cool! Bart Smit and the whole staff were very friendly and attentive 🇧🇷 Brasileiros não deixem de provar a costela muito melhor do que a do Outback!!

We rented a boat from here and had a wonderful experience 🚤🌞 Although we arrived about 10 minutes late for the return ⏰, the staff was very kind and professional 🤝. They gave us great instructions on how to safely operate the boat 🧭💡. It was a fun and memorable experience 🎉 I’d definitely love to be their customer again 🙌. Also, we booked through their website 💻, so we didn’t have to wait in line ⛔🕐. Highly recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

During a recent visit to Zwolle, we had the chance to explore Museum de Fundatie, and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience. The first thing that struck us was the building itself—it’s truly a work of art. The combination of the historic neoclassical base with the ultra-modern “cloud” structure on top is fascinating. It’s not just a museum; it’s an architectural masterpiece that demands your attention even before you step inside. Once inside, the museum didn’t disappoint. The collection is diverse, featuring everything from classic to contemporary art, and every piece seemed to tell a story. We were particularly drawn to some of the modern installations, which felt both thought-provoking and playful. The way the exhibits were curated made it easy to move between different styles and eras while still feeling cohesive. One of our favorite moments was enjoying the view from the “cloud” section at the top. The large windows offer stunning panoramic views of Zwolle, adding an extra layer of magic to the visit. It’s the kind of place where you could easily spend hours just soaking it all in. Museum de Fundatie is not just about the art—it’s the entire experience. The combination of innovative design, compelling exhibitions, and the serene ambiance makes it a must-visit destination. We left feeling inspired and eager to return one day. Very nice local museum situated in the center of the inner city/ring. Excellent permanent collection and rotating collections. A museum card makes this and many other museums very affordable.

Lovely museum with great collection of portraits and landscapes from the Dutch Golden Age till modern days. They host regular temporary exhibitions of modern art that nicely compliment permanent collection. The museum is friendly to people with disabilities. The staff is doing fantastic job for arranging expositions and highlighting info about artists. Reserve 1.5 -2 hours for visiting. Do not forget to climb at the top floor. There is nice view over Zwolle and cosy cafe.

So I had a very nice time first time in Zwolle and I visited also Museum de Fundatie. What I liked the most was the expo at the top and the audio-video projection inside the Dome, very relaxing and recharging.

Very nice museum with lovely staff. I love that you don't need a euro for the lockers because i so rarely carry cash and don't have to worry about where to put my winter coat! bathrooms on every floor is also great (and the soap smells good). Just wish the museum shop carried more items based on the exhibition :) thanks!

What an awesome experience. I can definitely recommend this Art Museum. There is a lot to see and if you keep walking up the stairs there is a little cafe where you can grab a coffee and relax. The town of Zwolle is also really nice so definitely a nice day trip no matter where in the Netherlands you are from

Really nice museum for a quick and inspiring visit. I’d strongly recommend that you start from the 4th floor taking the elevator at the lobby and then make your way down from the “Leiko Ikemura” expositions to the “ex- change proto” and finally to “Guillaume”. I spent about an hour here and read almost all room descriptions. There are also guided tours, I believe those should be booked in advanced. The day that I went it was not crowded, but that was a bit unusual. If you have the Museumkaart you can access for free. Unfortunately the day that I was there the cafe was closed.

I really enjoyed my time here, as it was very relaxing. The warm baths like the lagune were my favourite. The food was very good and we got a good deal from the site. The renting of the bathrobes and bath towels was quite pricey though, and I recommend bringing your own. I liked the bracelets and how it was used to lock/unlock the lockers and to purchase food. Overall good experience.

Horrible wellness experience We booked what we thought would be a relaxing wellness day and an anti-stress treatment to celebrate our anniversary. Instead, it turned into a stressful and disappointing experience. On the way from Amsterdam, our car broke down. We immediately reached out to let the spa know we would arrive 1.5 hours later. About 20 minutes before arrival, someone from the spa called us: we explained that we were 20 minutes away and asked if that was fine. The staff member confirmed it was. When we finally arrived, excited for our 75-minute anti-stress treatment, the receptionists casually informed us we could only catch the last 30 minutes. When we asked to reschedule or receive a refund, they flatly refused. We never received any notification (by phone or email) about the timing of the treatment, and the booking confirmation clearly stated that procedures should be scheduled at the reception desk. Instead of showing any flexibility or empathy, the reception staff became defensive, looking for loopholes not to help us. To make matters worse, after this frustrating interaction, I was shouted at in the (empty!) dressing room for simply turning off my phone sound. Hardly the kind of atmosphere you expect when you pay for “wellness” and “anti-stress.” In the end, we received only 15 minutes of a so-called anti-stress massage, our anniversary was ruined, and the experience even triggered a panic attack for me. For €330, we essentially paid for an argument and a spoiled day.

Overall, the experience wasn’t to write home about. The place is a little bit outdated, and in quite desperate need of renovations and modernisations. Although it is highly rated by most people that visited here, I expected more to be honest. Besides that the place is overcrowded which means that any privacy is absolutely zero it feels cramped inside. The hotel breakfast the following morning almost looked like a warzone. People were stumbling over each other to grab the last bit of meat and at no point it felt comfortable. Maybe I live in a different time zone, or in the land of plenty, but this was a first but definitely also my last visit. The Grotto - which is really nice - unfortunately will not change that I am afraid.

Sounds like a joke but one couldn’t reach them (hotel and wellness center) on Saturday 4pm for booking with a phone number mentioned — Edited my review to add stars thanks to the hotel service - really impressive; nice and pleasant restaurant with good service - both Njoy and hotel one. Eventually we enjoyed the stay on the hotel and Terme as well. But points to improve still: customer service line accessibility and Terme personnel communication (we found them a bit rude)

Update: the quality Manager got in touch. So at least they are caring... It started all with what was meant to be a lovely couple prolonged weekend in a suite in the hotel of the thermal bath in Bussloo. First of all, the thermal bath in terms of cleanness and service are really a joy and can be rated with a 5 out of 5. The same applies to the restaurant intense, which would be even a 6 out of 5. The staff there is amazing. Unfortunately, this high score does not apply to the hotel and the service of the hotel. When we arrived at around 5pm, the staff asked if it was the first stay in the hotel. Although we said that it was, the lady did not provide any further information. An older couple departing gave us a hint to ask for the wifi password, which was the first indicator of an insufficient service level. To be fair, around half of the staff at the check-in point and the concierge service are great, but the other half should not be working in direct contact with guests. We complained that the curtains once opened by remote control could not be closed again. A big issue as everybody could see into the bedroom of our suite from the outside car parking. They took note, but it took 24 hours before they could repair it. Also, the air condition only blew warm, humid air. Although we complained, the house keeping insisted it worked. That was possibly the issue for the next problem. The ceiling in the bathroom was full of mold. One could see that they tried to remove it some time before, but without decent products, it would always come back. I am still sure the problem lies in the not well working air condition. Lastly, the floor peeled off. I documented all with the attached photos (and I still have some more). So all in all, the prolonged weekend trip for 3 nights was more than 1.300 Euro expensive, and as we complained, we got 80 Euros refunded. No sorry from the management, no offer to change the room, nothing. So all together very disappointing and no value for money. Thermal Spa on its own I can recommend as well as the restaurant. But the hotel and some of its staff is a big disappointment, if you want to spend a silent couple weekend, go to a different hotel.

Really underwhelming experience to say the least ! A supposedly relaxing weekend turned into a “I can’t wait for this to be over” moment. The place was overly crowded leaving no room for relaxation, the food at intens restaurant was a bit of a joke (supposedly fine dine but still none of the courses had any special taste) and the hotel staff were totally indifferent on accommodating our requests . Gives an overall bad taste on the whole Thermen chain and will be heavily avoided from now on !

Highest recommendations!!! Super nice place! Lots of saunas, a great warm pool, and a jacuzzi. The food is delicious! And I want to especially mention how great the bed is! There are no cons to this place, only pros!!!

A lot of different saunas and pools, plus activities and massage options. Clean and spacious. Great outdoor section: excellent on warm days with a large terrace for food and drinks, outdoor sunbeds with great nature views and even a small beach. Aside from the regular dining there is also an Italian restaurant. Free to use soap and shampoo/conditioner. Only downside is the food and drinks are quite expensive, as well as the items for rent. Food Quality is good though.

Honestly I find hard to believe all those 1* and 2* reviews... We visited on a Sunday, and everything was absolutely as expected. The place was clean, plenty of staff around to clean and maintain during the day. The complex is really big and even during a busy day like today, there was plenty of room in most of the saunas and even a few with no one inside , except us. Food and portion sizes were great ( had the Poke Bowl ) and the reviews complaining about prices have obviously never been to a sauna in the Netherlands. The prices are absolutely normal for a sauna complex in the Netherlands. ( Not cheap but definitely not over the top expensive 52 euro for 2 mains , 3 drinks and portion of fries) A few restaurants to choose from (so not just 1 ) with variety in the menus. Beautiful and large garden, with access to swim in the lake. Couldn't ask for more! We had a wonderful day, felt relaxed at the end, and we will definitely come again!

Absolutely wonderful and charming place to relax. I have been to several places like that in Europe, but this is is by far my favorite. Treatments are top notch, customer service is attentive, friendly and helpful. The rooms are facilities are designed in such a way you can totally relax and switch your brain off. The location at the lake is charming and makes you want to grab a book by the lake to read, or just peacefully take a refreshing nap. One small improvement point is the service at the restaurant - it can be tad bit slow sometimes, even if it's not very busy. Waiting 15 minutes for a cup of coffee is not desirable. But that is the only point, th rest is absolutely amazing!

I have visited most of the big saunas in The Netherlands and Veluwse Brons experience exceeding my expectations. The nature is wonderful, the staff very pleasant and helpful but this is the first spa in years where I can enjoy the peace and quiet. Guests are respectful and do not speak loudly. Yes, there is room for improvement on the renovation side, here and there but this place is one of the best sauna I have been to. Also, the 'opgieting' from sauna master Harold was the cherry on a delicious cake. What an experience! He was funny and skilled, the mint crystals on the sauna heater and the way he made everyone participate and enjoy the session was incredible. By far, the best of over 500 opgieting I have had in my life. It was so worth it that I had to ask for his name as I want you all to be aware that if you ever get the chance to have Harold as your saunamaster, you will never forget the experience. Enjoy! Such moments are rare!

Great park for adults too. Came on a Saturday in August and was crowded but not crazy. We bought the gold pass at the entrance and probably could have done it with the silver one. Queues were okay and with the fast lane app it’s very easy to book a slot and wait outside until time goes to zero (maximum we waited was 3 minutes in the timer), then you go in. We enjoyed a lot, there are 5-6 big attractions and a lot for kids too. Food offer is a bit unhealthy and expensive but as usual in theme parks. Parking was 12€.

We visited this place in Khalovin. We had a lot of fun and a bit of fear. The kids enjoyed the ride. It takes almost a day to fully enjoy it. We arrived in the evening, and four hours wasn't enough; the lines were long, with wait times of 40 minutes or more.

We came here for the Halloween stuff and for the rides. First negative we found was the parking situation. Literally the worst parking we have ever seen!! Making cars park 3 in a line so you have towns of three cars which means if the person behind you hasn’t gone you’re stuck!! It was muddy and horrible. The bridge across the road is a dumb idea. Fairly easy to get in. The place was quiet at the beginning of the day. I did buy fast lanes so that we didn’t have to queue so long. I did buy fast recommend that. The place gets packed later and it’s awful. They oversell tickets and you cannot move. I bought RIP passes for the fright night experiences and I recommend you do the same if you want to see them all. The walkthroughs and haunted houses are ruined by security guards everywhere. The place is poorly signposted, the maps are all but useless. It’s dirty. The foods expensive but we expect that at these places. The rides are really good though, cannot fault them. Staff were friendly. Would I come back…yes but not at Halloween. Wear old shoes because the place is caked in mud this time of year.

Walibi Holland is a great park for thrill seekers; it has some seriously strong roller coasters that deliver real intensity and smooth rides. The park is clean and well run, though wait times can be long and food is pricey. Still, it’s definitely worth a visit.

I'm only giving this many stars because my family had fun on the rides. I've developed some phobias in my middle age years and I just go for the vibes, the slushies, etc. But let me paint a picture. Thursday was the only day we could go this vacation. I had to work late and only got 3 hrs sleep. I rolled from my bed with some string cheese and a croissant to start my long day knowing I'd get lunch at the park. So many food options it seemed, pasta.. How nice! Yet... Everything was closed except for donuts, toasties, fries, fried snacks... Even the slushy machines were off most places and when I finally found a place with slushy, the cup with lid and plastic straw were sold out. False advertising, no? Honestly, I'd like a refund for just my ticket.. Ridiculous to not have more open especially during a school holiday. We left early because we were hungry.

We a family of 4 really enjoyed staying our 3 days 2 nights in Walibi. The bungalow areas are Quiet, relaxing, lots of trees(pine) clean. Bungalow is big enough, kitchen facilities is complete though we spent more in restaurant for breakfast and dinner.. Whats less point and annoying is there's only 1 toilet paper, floor is sticky, dust everywhere, bed can be better but i, we slept good. Well we're all day outside so. .. We did a promo, 2nd day in park is free wich we enjoyed and pure fun for my kids. Though they only had 1 pool, its smaller than I thought my kids enjoyed swimming/playing. They offer really good menu in the restaurant, good quality food. The burger and salad, kip shoutout to the cook, 5star. Helpful, friendly staff (reception and resto. We're surely coming back.

Went to Walibi fright nights and had a blast! I loved the thematic decorations. I have been the past 6 years every year to fright nights and this was the first time that the cues for the attractions were below 30 min waiting time. On top of this it was also the first time I could enter a haunted house with just the 4 of us. (The years prior there was always a stream of people walking through them causing you to miss all the scares) One minor point though, I would like Walibi to have one night where the scares actors aren’t confined to their zones but are allowed to roam the whole park. I just think fright nights would really be scary this way.

Spent the whole afternoon here, biked the whole national park loop, took us about 3hrs including stops for pics and deer viewing. Scenery is super nice from lush forests to dunes and dry grasses (Safari feels!). White bikes are free! One size only for adults, good enough for me (5ft), all bikes only with footbrake :D

The park is very beautiful, with several types of landscape, forest, veld (heather fields), dunes, lake. We did not see any wildlife, but we were not there very early, so probably not the best hours. The free white bikes helped us travel through the park - the bikes are quite basic, but well maintained and it is very welcome that the park made it part of the experience. All in all, we spent a great day at Hoge Veluwe!

Beautiful park with a variety of ecosystems. Very well maintained with a network of hiking and cycling paths. The restaurant at the main entrance had delicious meals. Basic bicycles wit child seats are free to use and need no booking. They also had tandum bicycles, bicycles with a wheelchair in front and electric bikes to rent.

I was really surprised by this place which became one of my favorite at all. I didn’t expect such a beauty. The nature was so various! The dense forest, lakes, so many different trees and plants, or sand dunes… Views on all of this was truly stunning. One day is definitely not enough to thoroughly explore this place, it is so huge! You can find, after relaxing in and enjoying the wild forest, many branches where to stop and admiring the surrounding or just rest. Toilets are available as well (of course that not on many places). When i returned, I felt so replenished, so well… thank to this beautiful place!

It is one of the best national parks with great cycling routes and museums inside the park. The greenery is utterly stunning and quite beautiful. The cafes inside offer quite good food options as well. You can get a bike inside the national park which makes the exploration quite easy and fun. Also, if lucky, one can spot deers too. Worth every penny!

We visited the park on a sunny day, and it was nice. The free white bikes (with pedal brakes) are available at the main entrances and the museum, and cycling around was a fun way to explore. It’s easy to cover quite a bit of ground, and the landscapes change as you go, so it doesn’t feel quite boring. We didn’t see many animals, just a deer or two and some birds, but there are spots where you can sit and wait. We weren’t actively looking for wildlife, though. One thing to note is that you have to pay for the park entrance if you just want to visit the Kröller-Müller Museum, which some might find annoying. The museum itself was nice, and the sculpture garden is worth checking out. If you can, bring your own food or picnic as there are places to sit and eat. If you’re leaving through the Hoenderloo entrance, grab an ice cream from IJs van Co. It’s a sweet way to end the day.

Huge nature area with 40 km of cycle tracks plus loads of walking trails. Bikes are included in the entry fee. Quite expensive to take the car in but it is 3km from the entrance to the central visitor centre . Not crowded at all and open until 10pm in June and July with the restaurant serving until 9.30pm. Well worth a visit.

The museum has the second largest Van Gogh collection in the world. There are many paintings of him. There is both closed and open air areas where you can spend a whole afternoon. Also nice cafe and restaurants. Recommended.

As my friend highly recommended this museum, I decided to visit it from Amsterdam. It wasn’t too difficult to get there. When you arrive at the train station in the city where the museum is located, you can take a connecting bus directly from the station. After getting off at the final stop, just cross the street and wait at the bus stop on the other side. The bus driver mentioned that buses run twice an hour, but from my experience, you might end up waiting for as long as an hour. :) The museum itself was very nice and not too crowded. You can take your time and enjoy Vincent van Gogh’s paintings in a calm and peaceful atmosphere. The food at the restaurant was quite good — I had a hamburger, and it was tasty. Most other visitors seemed to be ordering soup, just for your information. The outdoor garden is also well known. There’s nothing particularly special about it, but it’s a pleasant place for a walk.

Great experience overall but entry fees to national park is separate to get to the museum which then comes out to be a bit above 26 euros combined. Free bikes to go around the national park. The Kröller Müller museum is nice as well with a vast collection of Van Gogh. Other noticable works for Paul Signac, Monet etc. Although the museum could be a bit more immersive. Overall a great daytrip in Netherlands

I had the chance to visit the most impressive and fascinating museum I’ve ever seen in the Netherlands — the Kröller-Müller Museum. There are incredible artworks of Vincent van Gogh, Picasso and many other painters and amazing sculptures. Sincere thanks to the museum’s management, and to Helene and Anton Kröller-Müller, whose vision and passion made this remarkable place possible. Please make your plan for whole day, not only for museum but also cafe inside and outdoor in the forest.

So much more than a museum. Obviously the main draw to this remote location is its important collection of paintings and sculptures. But the setting is what makes it such an outstanding visit. Deep inside a huge park, you can and you should choose to reach the museum from the entrance by the white bicycles freely available to all. If the weather is nice this short (about 20 minutes) ride gets you in a jolly mood. Power up with the small but tasty menu of desserts and small plates in the restaurant. It took me 5 hours to enjoy the place.

The staff at the ticket counter was incredibly kind, and when my ticket was checked at the entrance, I was even given extra guidance on bicycles and detailed information about the outdoor sculpture works. Another advantage of this museum is the chance to see around 50 Van Gogh paintings all in one place—a truly remarkable experience.

Hello everyone. what’s a very interesting place and amazing art. I would recommend this to anyone and the outdoor seating area for the cafeteria was amazing as well. very Tranquill and quiet. A place I’ve been several times now in the last few years.

It is a good experience for a day at the weekend to spend here. I will not say this has the best aquatic ecosystem or animals here, but it is decent. The dolphin show is great among all the shows. The other shows are also decent. We had a good time here. You will find water slides here so it could be a good time to spend in hot summer. You have the beach access for bathing and other fun activities.

Park is smack in the middle of city center. It's much smaller than I remembered. Still a lovely vibe in the park. Loads of playgrounds for the kids. Dolphin show is absolutely amazing. Food is a bit overpriced for what is offered. When finished seeing the animals and playtime is over you can enjoy walking in town after.

We had such a great day here. For the price you pay this is such good value. There are shows with the sea lions and dolphins through the day. Plenty for the children to play on. The water park was loads of fun for my boys, with some great shoots. A member of staff took time to talk to us so we gain a good insight to looking after the dolphins. The virtual reality part was uber cool. The park, in true Dutch style, is very well run. Would seriously recommend for all.

It was really great, the dolphins looked amazing. The staff seems to take really good care of the animals. There where also other animals and we really enjoyed them to. The food was good but a little pricey! And bathroom looked so good either way al those pictures of dolphins!!! We’ll come back for sure!!!!!!

A wonderful place for children and not only. The shows are scheduled in such a way that you don't miss any of them. I recommend it for a relaxing day!

Amazing place... only one show was in English subtitles... where bad ...but the rest was very nice ...kids can also touch fish with their hands! There is also a small waterpark..in varm day for kids and also adults nice place for freshing. Near is also see...

Waste of time and money. You go there to see dolphins and anyway you look at them on the screen!!!!!?? Shows were very short. I came here to see dolphins live and they forced us to look on them on the screen and turned off the lights to not see dolphins in the pool during that!!! Underground exposition was very poor and hard to see anything. Water transparency 0.5m... They sent us to the furthest parking lot even though there were free spaces near the dolphinarium. NOTHING SPECIAL...

We had a wonderful time at Ouwehands Zoo in Rhenen! It’s a truly beautiful zoo – very clean, well-maintained, and the enclosures are thoughtfully designed and spacious. Of course, the highlights were the pandas and koalas, but we were also really impressed by the huge bear forest with a kind of hanging bridge that lets you walk above the enclosure – such a unique and beautiful experience! What made it extra special for us was how family-friendly the park is. There are several playgrounds throughout the zoo, and the giant indoor playground was the absolute highlight for our son. Honestly, that alone would have made the visit worth it! It was quite busy during our visit (summer holiday season), but there were plenty of parking spaces, and the great thing is that the parking is right next to the zoo – no long walk required. The only thing we found a bit disappointing was the lack of English translations. While we didn’t expect everything to be in German, it would’ve been great to have English descriptions alongside the Dutch animal information signs. Also, the zoo map was only available in Dutch, which made it a bit harder to navigate or understand the details. In most German zoos, having English maps and signs is quite common nowadays, so we missed that here. Still, it’s a fantastic zoo overall, and we highly recommend a visit – especially for families!

Went on a weekday in November, pretty quiet. Even though it is not one of those big zoos we spent a good 6 hours there and still did not get bored. The kids liked especially the big covered playground area, which I understood was the biggest in Europe for a while (maybe it still is). Nice one which I would like to visit again.

This is a fantastic zoo. We had a fab day. Some of the enclosures are so well thought out, especially the bears with a kid's rope bridge to walk above them. The play area is the best I've ever seen too. Amazing day out, would definitely recommend.

Went with my boyfriend and had a pretty decent time there. We got the day pass + night light ticket, and here is our experience: Staff: 5/5 Everybody was very friendly & helpful and they were everywhere so if you have a question or need help they’re always there Vibes: 4/5 They put a lot of effort in decorating the zoo so it has a nice ambiance & the enclosures were pretty decent. Toilets were clean despite how crowded it was! The light attractions were also really pretty & you can see nocturnal animals starting their day after 5 pm Animals: 2/5 Nothing I’ve never seen before except for the pandas & polar bear. The pandas were adorable, but they seem super bored & there’s a lack of interaction between the zookeepers and these pandas. They were just kind of left there like a goldfish in a bowl… Same with the elephants. We saw them literally plucking grass in their enclosure because of how bored they were. They should learn a thing or two from more interactive zoos like Bali Zoo where they allow feeding sessions (they sold carrots that we could feed to the elephants & we had breakfast with orangutans) so the more intelligent animals don’t go crazy bored in their enclosures. They need intellectual stimulation too!! The worst part that kind of ruined the day for me was the single polar bear. I don’t know the story behind why that ice-bear is in the middle of Netherlands, but the bear was clearly depressed (& probably way too hot). The polar bear enclosure looked unkept and it had a pool completely green & filled with algae, so it can’t even swim to cool off. Even if the polar bear was under rehabilitation for something, it deserves a cleaner enclosure (and a proper way to cool off, especially in the summer!) Tbh I think it’s better off to send the polar bear to a zoo somewhere with a more comfortable climate for them, like maybe Finland or Norway. Polar bears shouldn’t live out in the open in such a hot European climate when they’re used to -20 degrees Celsius or less (imagine being forced to live somewhere where it’s 20 degrees Celsius hotter than what you’re used to). I find it ironic that they claim to be an ‘Arctic Ambassador’ when their polar bear is so sadly curled up in the corner like that… Food: 3/5 Standard zoo food. They sell snackbar foods like burgers & frikandel. A bit overpriced for what they are so I suggest to bring your own food and drinks to the park (yes, they allow this) Others: They have a designated playground area for children and they tried to put a frog enclosure next to the playground. The frogs were nowhere to be seen Overall: 3/5 Pretty good zoo for children but the condition of their animals is slightly worrying

Nice fashion outlet with many famous brands. On Sundays are also open till 20:00 which is great! Toilets are clean considering that the place welcome many people. There are also different spots where kids can play while parents are shopping and not get bored. The outlet offers many restaurants/cafes. From time to time they have themes like this time is Mickey Mouse which fun.

Very well-organized shopping center. It really has almost everything you need. A visit is definitely worth it.

Nice place for an ‘uitje’ or in other words, outing. The parking here costs about EUR 5 for the day. The prices at this outlet are pretty decent. If you’re lucky, you might get crazy discounts.

A terrific experience, both indoors and out. The level of investment and care are reflected in the impressive scale and quality of the exhibits. Most of the signage included English and German. Definitely worth a day trip from Amsterdam.

Well-maintained folk museum. Structures are beautiful and interesting. Don’t skip anything as it’s all good. Also, town of Enkhuizen is charming and laid back. Experince exceeded expectations.

The museum would take you back into the time of 1920’s living in Netherland coast town after the dike were built which was a fishing village are turned into. It is accessible by the ferry boat from the museum parking lot or at the ticket booth near the train station if you are coming by trains. The ticket is &21 euros which includes the both to and from ferry rides! You need about lease two hours to walk the entire outdoor museum. There are blacksmith shop and laundry shop which powered by a coal burning boiler machine that turning all the washing machines. It is a great place to take your young kids to visit they can let loose and enjoy the day.

Fantastic step back in time. Incredible that all of the buildings were moved there from other places and rebuilt into the village it is today. Each home had its own story so you need time to appreciate it. Tried freshly smoked makerel, traditional sweets and interactive exhibits. So much to see and do. Highly recommend

A very beautiful open-air museum that has plenty to offer for adults and for kids. You  walk inside in many of the buildings and, depending on what’s on offer, see how people used to live. Here and there, people are cooking or making tea. You can watch rope makers, sail makers, carvers, blacksmiths, and laundresses at work. There’s also a lot you can do with children. Building a boat out of clogs, or make your own soap. Some activities cost a small extra fee. We had a great day, and the six hours we spent in the museum went by very quickly. We took the ferry from Parkeerplaats Sluisweg to the museum. There’s plenty of food and drink in the park. The fish at the smokehouse is highly recommended. It's worth buying tickets online in advance; they're significantly cheaper than at the box office. We saved almost €4, which almost covered the cost of our €7 parking ticket.

Outdoor museum with a lot of variety, recreating the village experience of a Zuiderzee fishing village across various time periods. There’s also a West Frisian hut hidden in the nature preserve area with a knowledgeable local guide/interpreter whose expertise is in the Bronze Age tools and ways of living, like animal husbandry. Also, in the village, at the fish smoker you can try their traditionally smoked salmon, mackerel or herring. You can walk to the museum from the Enkhuizen train station.

It was a great experience. At first we thought the prices were a little bit high, but in the end was a great place and worth every cent. We were really happy. Thanks a lot.

It was a great space and good and professional people there. The only thing was that when you enter there is something that smells bad.

Very clean and easy to access via public transport. Good for shopping, even has a Primark. You can grab some smoke from the little boat cafes Nd enjoy a walk along the cannel. Beautiful little town with friendly people.

You can find what you need in here. Clothing to grocery, there's even a big asian market. This is a safe place to hang around, until the stores close. I do not recommend staying here after 8 pm because it might not be safe. Other than that, it is a good place for your needs.

Great place more like city downtown with shopping street. Quite vibrant during the day. However, recently noticed some homeless folks scavenging during the night time which is a bit concerning.

Very nice museum, for both railway passionate and casual visitors. Very good for kids and families as well, however not very accessible for wheelchairs and strollers (for babies, consider a carrier). We loved everything about it, but would have appreciated some English descriptions, that were unfortunately missing. Will go back!

Such a cool place to visit with children of any age and even without. 🤓 Outside there’s a playground and you can also grab something to eat&drink. You can spend a full day here and not get bored.

Fantastic museum, and I’m an adult and not even a train fanatic. I can imagine bringing your kids here, they will have a blast. Very big museum in an old, fully restored to its old 1872 glory train station and yard, with many historic trains and carriages on tracks. Also various halls with train related themes, like model trains, engineering, virtual reality train ride, etc. For kids also a big playground outside. Cafe restaurant on its premise.

My new favourite place. It's unfair to compare railway museums but this is the best one I have found so far. Gives the complete history of the railways in the Netherlands. Examples of old and new rolling stock. RECOMMEND ARRIVING BY RAIL - take a train to Utrecht Maliebaan station to avoid the expensive car parks (both on site and on street).

It's a great museum, interesting for adults and children alike, where everyone can have a lot of fun. There are many train carriages in perfect condition, and at Christmas they set up an ice rink. Highly recommended.

This museum is a veritable wonderland of railway history filled with old steam (and newish) diesel and electric locomotives, carriages, wagons, model trains, memorabilia, posters, etc that is worthy of at least a half day visit. And you don't have to be a passionate railway buff (like me) to enjoy the exhibits as families can entertain their children with lots of interactive gizmos and quizzes that are educational too! I simply cannot imagine anyone not enjoying this place and falling in love with trains! As well there are a cafe and museum shop and many external railway exhibits where, on a sunny day, the charming old signal box and water tower are a fitting backdrop to the locomotives.

Most fun family museum I've been. Beautiful spacious with lots of sighteeings and a very cool train simulator. Perfect for kids of all ages and cool for adults as well. Has an outside playground and place to sit indoor and outdoor with coffee and food

It’s a well organized tour. The steps could be a bit slippery. The last steps are a bit challenging as there are many to climb in a single go. They also get very narrow at the end. The views, to be frank, are nothing to brag about- so don’t go just for the view and since the barricades are metallic and not of glass or clear plastic, you cannot get good pictures. Anyway it was exhilarating because of the cool breeze at the top.

Definitely worth the effort climbing up to the top of the tower. Guide is in both Dutch and English. Almost 500 steps single trip and the staircase is getting narrower and narrower as moving towards the top. Be prepared for shaky legs after coming down ...

Had a great tour here. We bought tickets in advance and everything was very smooth. There are a lot of stairs and many spiral which does get a bit warm, but is a cool experience and learned some interesting history. Great views and very good tour guides who are able to provide the tour and answer questions in Dutch and English.

This is one of the recommended activities to do in Utrecht. It is exhilarating when you get to the top but you need to climb 463 steps with 4 stops to get there. The last stretch was most difficult because it was 150 steps at once and towards the top it got much narrower so for the claustrophobic folks, take note. Otherwise its a nice feeling to get to the top and get some photos though the barb wire can pose a challenge to getting wonderful photos.

Utrecht is a small, charming and very vibrant city. I just stayed one day but had an amazing experience and will definitely go again. Utrecht has so many things to offer from historical buildings and museums to good shopping and great diversity of food places.

This is a place you should visit in Utrecht provided you can take the significant climb up the stairs. The view is certainty worth it. You have to book a tour, which does add to the experience and our guide was friendly and informative. The tour was presented in Dutch and English. The start point is in a shop nearby so make sure you read the information carefully.

Must see if you visit Utrecht, the view from the tower is absolutely gorgeous and the story behind the tower is nice to hear. You can also do some exercising while enjoying the views. 🤓 Book a ticket in advance.

Very nice service from the people working at the little office today (19 July). We had some discount cards from vrindenloterij and the guy was so nice to check if they work with them ( they didn’t) but still he made an extra effort to check that for us, we made a reservation for a later moment and when we came back there was a lady who explained everything nice and she was really friendly ☺️ thank you

This pedal boat experience was a mistake for us. There was nothing enjoyable, easy or entertaining about it. My 10-year old child and I rented a Stromma Utrecht paddle boat today and regretted it immediately. Why? It was just way too much work for two people on vacation. We had not been prepared for the *huge amount of physical exertion* required to move and steer these boats. We made it through 1/3 of the route, and then decided to turn back, as we were already sweaty, stressed and physically wasted from pedaling and steering of the boat. It was a very hot day. I do not recommend this experience to anyone, really, but if you must give it a try, you should consider yourself Strong, Energized, and on the Tall side. This is necessary because the seats on the boats do not adjust, and short-legged people will be challenged to reach the pedals and get traction. Steering the boats is also arduous and requires arm strength. Combined with the hard pedaling, it made for an unpleasant experience in a beautiful place. And lastly, the route map that is on the boat was unhelpful, as it was faded and impossible to read. It would be wonderful if the company revised and replaced them. The employee who helped us today was both nice and professional, and did her best to provide service. Still, she cannot control the quality of the boats or of the experience you will have, once you are out on your own. In summary, I discourage you from spending money on this pedal boat tour. The rental kayaks we saw (different company) looked like a much better time.

Probably the most beautiful activity you can do when visiting Utrecht. Check their opening hours before you go. They are open April, May, June, September and October from Wednesday until Sunday 10h00-18h00. Daily in July and August. Closed November, December, January and February. This way you are never disappointed...

Went to Utrecht for a day out of Amsterdam. As a group of four we almost skipped this canal tour booth until one of us pointed it out. We each had to then pay an admission fee, but once that was done we were to hop onto a four man pedal boat and explore the canals of this Dutch city. We were completely blown away with the views and overall friendly atmosphere of the city. The ride takes about 90 minutes but you get to see so much at your own pace and have a fun time doing it.

Sadly we can't have a pedalo since we are 2 adults and three kids, despite the fact that our small one would have had more than enough space to sit in the middle....

Spacious zoo with beautiful enclosures for the animals, the bird show and the hunting simulator for the wild animals are a must see! Also a nice restaurant and a playground for the kids!

Really enjoyed this zoo! Everything is clean and well-maintained, and it’s clear that the animals are well cared for. The grounds are beautiful, with plenty of shade and cozy rest areas. The lemurs are amazing — so active and funny! A wonderful place for a family walk and a relaxing day.

We visited Landgoed Hoenderdeall in Anna Palowna in the north of Holland near Den Helder. This is a child friendly zoo where rescued animals find a safe shelter before being freed.

That's how zoos should be. Only rescued animals. The dolphin program is incredible. I think there should be more workers tho to explain about the animals and about conservation and also too watch out that people won't harm the animals.

The best place to visit animals with children. Even wheelchair users can enjoy the many different species and activities. When you like to stop for a break, there is a friendly buffet, surrounded with children playground. We come back frequently every year. If you want to have fun with your kids or just without, I can only recommend this zoo.

Basically a really nice zoo, and the Katta arps are very trusting and really nice to see how they are interact with the visitors. Negativ, there are no real child entrance prices or a one time family card available - even child's are paying the same 15,50€ as an adult. Update from 2025: The ticket prices are even more expensive, and cost now 18,00€ (in advance via Internet), regardless if you are an adult or a child. There are still no Family tickets available, and the child tickets are only for children between 2 and 3 years.

This was amazing! The open areas for the animals is just incredible. The playground for the children is awesome. The demonstrations and feeding of the animals was well done, and brought the animals closer to us. The idea that many of the animals will be rehabilitated grabbed my attention - what a great initiative. The bird show was so well carried Out, and the fact that the birds are not forced to take part was an added bonus for me. Walking through the wooded areas on well kept paths was a pleasure. Well done!

The Ziggo Dome is truly one of the best concert venues in the Netherlands. It’s super easy to reach by train or metro, and once inside everything runs smoothly, from the entrance to finding your seat. The sound is outstanding; you can tell the hall was built for music, as it’s clear and powerful no matter where you sit. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is always great. Food and drinks are on the expensive side, but facilities are clean and there’s plenty of choice. All in all, it’s a venue where concerts are experienced at their best and one you’ll be happy to return to.

The hall itself is enormous and remarkably well-ventilated. Although the temperature outside was past the 30°C mark, you wouldn't have known it once you were inside as the air was pleasantly cool. I was happy to finally get a break from this unbearable heat. I had a VIP ticket, so I was seated right at the front, directly in front of the stage. The seating consisted of rows of chairs, spaced with enough room in front of each so you could comfortably stand up when you wanted to (everyone stood up once the concert started, so you kinda didn't have any other choice, hahah). I have to deduct one star because the organization outside the venue was incredibly confusing. There were multiple entrances, each with its own queue, but nothing was clearly labelled. No one seemed to know where they were supposed to line up. I personally had to switch lines three (!) times before I finally ended up in the right one. Even the staff couldn't give clear directions when we asked for help. This wasn't just an issue for me and my companion. Many other visitors were just as lost. The organization definitely leaves a lot to be desired, but aside from that, everything else was top-notch. It's a great venue, and Ado's concert was lovely!!

Since this was been my workplace for many, many years, so I'm very biased. The venue is built for the ultimate accoustic experience - if band's sound technicians aren't too stubborn - and, biased again, staff is very friendly and helpful. This time as a guest for the Lindemann Meine Welt World tour, which is, shall I say, an experience, the venue was a bit too large for size. I've seen his show a couple of times in smaller venues, which makes the show more intense to attend (and ofcourse not for the faint of heart so not sold out in the business section) but nevertheless an absolute banger, and a great replacement of sorts when Rammstein's not touring. But Ziggodome still is the venue to see live shows, one of a kind. Even Radiohead said so !

Went to see The Offspring and opener act Simple Plan. Ziggo Dome is perceived as one of the country's most prestigious event venues and hosts many big names. We had a overall great experience, with P1 Arena parking being literally 2 minutes away of Ziggo Dome entrance. My only minor complaint would be the higher pitched sounds (some vocals but also guitars) sounded a bit distorted. I checked my phone and DB was around 75-80 most of the time (middle of first ring). If they can fix that I'd rate it 5/5. A beer is 7 euros and a cola 4.30, just event venue prices.

I have only been to concerts in Cyprus and Israel. But Ziggo Domes system for the queues was unbelievable and it helped the whole experience to be way more smooth. Not the biggest arena but great sound! The AC was amazing. We were also wecolmed with a complimentary drink!

Nice venue for a large gathering to watch a band. Had seats facing the stage, which was a nice view. Some lockers outside the location to place items in, or a coat check inside. Both for fees. We had dinner above before we went in, a lovely meal! And was perfectly timed to then walk directly into the venue with a very short security line. Very friendly staff to help direct crowds, and parking was very easy to navigate.

Awsome arena for concerts. We went to see Symphonica in Rosso with Eros Ramazotti. Great concert 🤩

Great location… 5 min walk from the Central station and 7-10 minutes walk to the centrum including the RLD and even Dam square. The location is unbeatable! The hotel is very modern and nicely decorated. The rooms are a tiny bit small but acceptable for one person.. It would have been tight for a couple but acceptable for Europe. The bathroom is ok and they have decent toiletries. Very clean rooms. The service is good but not consistent. They offer water for the coffee machine but they don’t replenish them! I had to ask and make my coffee with tap water, which I understand is clean in Amsterdam. The views from the rooms are nice. There is an excellent buffet breakfast, it was included so I don’t know the price.. The coffee declined in quality as the days went by, I don’t know why.. it’s not good coffee but the rest of the food is decent and included bircher muesli, cereal station, Goji Berries etc..they also prepare eggs on demand. Overall very nice hotel..

Outstanding stay! Everything was 10/10. The location is perfect, offering easy access to everything. The staff was exceptionally friendly and professional. Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. My partner and I agree: We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Amsterdam! Highly recommended!

The hotel itself is nice, but the food and drink service let it down. At breakfast, I left my phone and earphones on a clean table by the river while I went to get food. When I came back, they were gone. A member of staff had picked them up and told me I had to move because that area was “closed”, even though other guests were still seated there. I was moved to a dirty, cramped table with no clean cutlery, surrounded by loud families and away from the window. I then had to find another table myself, and by the time I did, my food was cold and had to be replaced. A few minutes later, another guest was seated at my original table by a different staff member. My belongings should also never have been removed and put into a staff member’s pocket. At the rooftop bar, drink service was very slow. Later that night we tried to return, but were refused entry even though there were still 20–25 minutes until closing and other guests were inside. We then bought drinks from the hotel shop, only to be told we couldn’t sit in the lobby and had to go to our rooms. On the positive side, the location is great, check-in staff were friendly, and the room was upgraded with no issues. Concierge was friendly and helped with a good dinner booking.

The Doubletree is a very good hotel in central Amsterdam, The place it's not the best neighborhood to stay in the city, since it is by the central station, but it is very convenient. We had a room with a very nice view to the canal, small but quiet. The wifi works great, the pillows are not what you would expect from this kind of hotels and the light in the room could have some improvement it is too dark!! The breakfast buffet is delicious, with plenty of different food to choose from.

We’ve stayed here a few times, it’s a great location next to the station and the trams, also a little away from the busiest areas so you can come back here and chill if you want to. Rooms are excellent, comfortable and quiet. Staff are super helpful. Don’t miss the rooftop bar.

I'll make a long and unpleasant story short so that you understand my fury. I booked a stay at the Amsterdam Doubletree in Centraal station from 21-30Dec2025. I booked your hotel and not an Air BnB specifically because your hotel had A/C. I was given a room with a poorly-functioning A/C. When I complained on day 2, after spending the night sweating through my sheets, I was told they'd handle it. They did not. Complaints on days 3 through 5 via both phone and request at the front desk yielded no repairs and no new room. On day 6 (that Monday) I went down and demanded a new room, which I received. During those first 5 days I was at a conference. Due to lack of sleep because of the warm room, I was unable to take full advantage of the knowledge presented. Additionally, my time with my friends was curtailed because I was tired and spent time napping in their rooms at other hotels that had functioning A/C. This is the SECOND vacation this hotel has ruined due to maintenance issues; on the first one the shower was clogged for 3 days and not fixed, so I had to take a shower / stay at other friends' places. I get a vacation on average about every 2.5-3 years, and this hotel has managed to almost ruin both. I will never again stay at a Hilton hotel for foreign travel and will discourage anyone I know from utilizing your chain. Lifetime Diamond status doesn't appear to get you any additional consideration, and now you've got some kind of new Tier that I'm supposed to strive for. If I do any more tier-advancing, I'm going to do it with Mariott.

Ideal location, walking distance to most tourist attractions. Overlooks the canal. Facility is also nice clean contemporary modern . Staff is also very friendly and nice, Only reason I am giving a low rating for service is, being Hilton Gold I was told I have free breakfast at check in. Somehow that didn't make it to the on line system..when my daughter went for breakfast , she was turned away. And this happened on last day, as we ate out first 2 days. Anyways, they need to have some system in place. Otherwise had a wonderful stay here.

Their tour is super fun and informative. You learn a lot about their history and how they have come so far. You get to see where it is brewed and so so much more. You can even buy a customizable bottle! Their gift shop has so many items, and the bar at the end of the tour is worth hanging around in for a while. Their tour is easy to join and they have lockers for you to keep your things. You get drink tokens with purchase of your tour. Must go to the rooftop!

I’ve wanted to go to the Heineken Brewery for ages and I was sad to say I was a little bit disappointed. The tour was very informative, I enjoyed learning about the beer and brand. But I personally didn’t like some of the interactive elements of the tour, it just felt like space filler unfortunately... The section of the tour where “you are a beer bottle” is brilliant, the tour guides were honestly one of the best parts, they were absolutely brilliant and so funny. The bar at the end of the tour needs more seated areas and tables - it would have been nice to sit and drink my beers instead of just awkwardly stood around.

Ok fun experience if youve never done a brewery tour before. They make it more fun and pop. Rooftop area is beautiful. I guess if its your first time in Amsterdam, this is a must stop attraction. But they focus on making it a bit more fun and sporty rather than historical which was what i was expecting.

This is a really fun place to visit whether your a fan of the beer or not, it certainly helps if you are that said which we where! Very fun and informative experience. Came a few years ago and was great to see all the new improvements they have made such as the ride.

All I can say is WOW!!!! Honestly it was not high on my agenda on my visit to Amsterdam but decided to do it on one of the two free afternoons we had. It was beyond my expectations, well organized, very professional, interactive and not to mention the free beers. Heineken has been my beer of choice whenever I am away from home so it was actually a treat to see what went into brewing it. Please don’t take my word for it. If you get the opportunity make a point to do the tour….if possible, book the rooftop experience you will be pleasantly surprised.

What a cool & interactive brewery experience! Love that a general ticket includes 2-3 small beers at the end, informative staff, & interactive rooms where you can take a digital souvenir for example. All the staff we encountered were very friendly/funny, the lobby has lockers/coat hang. Love that its centrally located too

Great unique experience. They give you individual audio pods which hosts several languages. This gallery is the home that Anne Frank found refuge with her family before they were found. As you enter each room, you scan the room# as it narrates events in her life. There is a bookstore and café shop located at the end of the tour. Rsvp online purchase as it is busy, but not really a long wait when it get there. Goes fast and the tour is about an hour long.

Impressive, very well conserved. Autoguided visit. No photos allowed in the hidden house, only in the visitors centre for the ones who buy the ticket+introdutory lesson (30 minutes for an overview of the history, I fully recommend). It can be a little sufocating not only because of the place but also about the history that happened inside. It is impossible going there and not feel bad about what these walls have listened and witnessed. It is a painful but necessary visit.

Really would recommend. The audio tour helps paint a picture of what it was like back then. Imagining having to be quiet so you weren't heard. Seeing the original features really brings it to life.

A solemn and moving museum to remind humanity not to repeat such horrific events. The courage of not only the Frank family but also the saints who helped this family was displayed. It filled my heart to see that the dreams of a young girl was fulfilled although she was denied to live her life.

Amazing! You cannot take photos inside, they have coat check so you can bring your bag to leave there. They also provide speaker phone type of device in many different languages. I have a spinal condition and was able to make all of the stairs! I highly recommend.

A great display. To see the conditions & how the family lived hiding all those years was amazing. You certainly have to book 6 weeks in advance in summer/peak season. Unfortunately no photos allowed to be taken inside the complex.

Great museum. Hadn’t been for a few years, better than I remembered. Amazing art spread over four floors in the heart of the museum area. Saw huge works of art, great sculpture too and even an aircraft up on floor 3. And a condom that dates back to 1830 🙄 A must see. Only takes a couple of hours to get a good feel. You can then return to explore more.

Stunning setting on par with the Louvre; goldmine of Dutch Masters but also extensive collections of porcelain, china, silverware, jewelry, firearms, nautical models and other items. Large, open atrium and other common areas with ample access to washrooms, lifts and stairwells. App (IOS and Android) loads easily and allows access to thematic and custom tours. BRING ear buds, although you can listen via your phone’s speaker. Audio device is only €6.50 each. Cafeteria fills by mid-day with lineup; we grabbed coffee / tea and a brownie for two at the smaller cafe. Cons: App and general signage could be better at orienting visitors: it took a while to find the Great Hall. Many exhibits are dimly lit; I know this protects paintings/fabric/etc, but many other international museums have more ample lighting. Maybe illuminate the text descriptions separately? Given that explanatory panels are often mounted within 50cm of the floor, deciphering them can pose a challenge. Even saw quite young folks having to squint. Strongly advise staff to engage an Optometrist to assist in this. Sum: certainly a “must see”, with a complete visit likely requiring 3+ hrs. Staff very helpful, and roving throughout the museum. Buy tickets from the official site beforehand (or via QR on site), and avail yourself of the (included) coat-check.

The Rijksmuseum is an incredible place to explore Dutch art and history. The collection is world-class from Rembrandt’s The Night Watch to Vermeer’s The Milkmaid, every gallery feels like a walk through time. The building itself is stunning, and the layout makes it easy to wander and discover something new at every turn. That said, it can get very crowded, especially on weekends. I definitely recommend buying your tickets in advance to skip the long lines and secure your preferred time slot. Once inside, take your time there’s so much to see that it’s worth spending a few hours here. Overall, a fantastic cultural experience and a must-visit in Amsterdam, just make sure to plan ahead!

Buy tickets outside at a little portable booth in front of the overpass. Watch out for FAST💨 BIKES!!! The famous Night Watchman by Rembrandt is under serious restoration and is partially blocked due to scaffolding. This painting is on the second floor, the 1700s. Later work by Van Gogh is on the 1st floor exhibited. We also ate lunch in the museum cafeteria and the food was super fast and fresh! The chicken salad and the buffalo mozzarella salad were excellent!!

Carefully curated, the visit can be extensive if one wishes to cover all it has to offer. But it makes for a memorable experience both for those with a dedication to art and culture, and the casual visitor. It is useful to book tickets in advance. While the crowds are managed reasonably, it can get busy, in particular in the most popular galleries. An early arrival is useful to enjoy those works in a more relaxed way. The museum has quality services for information, accessibility, shop, restaurant and coffee bar. Staff is professional, congenial, and knowledgeable across all roles. The 2013 refurbishment of the historic Pierre Cuypers building by Cruz y Ortiz Arquitectos still feels fresh, cogent, and successful in upgrading the entrances, patios, service areas, and selected exhibition spaces. If anything it would have been nice to have a more direct opportunity to understand the evolution of the building, its spaces, collection history, and new curatorial practices. Although much of that emerges through the visiting experience, and carefully prepared exhibits.

This museum was huge! Beautiful to look and on both the inside and the outside. Beautiful gardens and greenery and the building was an architectural masterpiece. Our story is a little funny because even tho we paid to enter, we were so tired from the day already that we only entered for a mere 3 minutes and then stepped out to go look for Stroopwaffles. We barely saw anything here, but hey everyone says it's a must-see when you're visiting Amsterdam.

The Rijksmuseum is spacious and full of variety—you can easily spend two hours or more exploring. Of course, the famous paintings, especially those by Rembrandt, are breathtaking. But beyond that, we enjoyed discovering other exhibits too: delicate porcelain, shipbuilding models, and historical artifacts that tell stories beyond the canvas. We arrived early, which helped—it was fairly quiet at first. But the museum filled up quickly and became quite crowded in some areas. The café is lovely and offers a peaceful break. Unfortunately, The Night Watch is currently under restoration, but even so, it remains a powerful and moving centerpiece. Visiting the Rijksmuseum is a beautiful experience—perfect for art lovers, history enthusiasts, and anyone seeking cultural depth and inspiration.

We try to visit an art museum in every city we visit and this was a great one! Very organized timed entry and exit. The audio tour was great and the art was obviously amazing. It was also a good size, but not so big your feet hurt by the end. :) Definitely a must see if you visit Amsterdam but buy your tickets well in advance!

Must visit if you like art even one tiny bit. I'm not an art aficionado myself but I can't not be amazed by Van Gogh's Paintings. You cannot buy tickets at the gate. It must be pre purchased online beforehand. Please note the starry night (Van Gogh's most famous painting) is not here. But they have other amazing paintings including another masterpiece - The potato eaters. The lighting is not nice. It's dull yellow and doesn't do justice to the colours. It should be much brighter. One thing which was not nice was the locker system to keep your backpack which is not allowed inside. It's free but had no instructions. You first need to go to the panel and enter a code and it will assign a locker. The shop is also nice, they have some really good items for sale. Overall worth every penny !

I truly enjoyed the experience! Though the museum doesn’t have some works like the starry night, it explores the path of Vincent through the time. What I liked is examples of the work that inspired Van Gogh, the paintings of his friends that he exchanged for his paintings and the paintings that got inspiration from Van Gogh. An extended audio guide was easy to follow and it felt pretty short.

Let’s be honest this is one of those things that everyone tells you have to see. If you’re visiting Amsterdam, you’re probably going whether you want to or not. Take the back staircase that gives you a great view of the area below. I actually recommend going all the way to the top first and then working your way down. Don’t worry about going to the first gift shop you see there’s multiple gift shops there. They’re also is a few really great views to be had depending on where you stop for a coffee. The architecture of the building itself is actually really enjoyable. There’s a lot of art to be seen so if you walk into one room and it’s crowded just circle back to it later. Budget a few hours, but don’t spend the whole day because there’s a ton to do in the surrounding area.

The Van Gogh Museum is absolutely stunning, not just the building itself, which is beautiful, but the entire atmosphere. The exhibits are incredible, of course, but what truly stood out to me was the storytelling. As we walked through the museum, we felt like we were being guided through Vincent’s life, seeing the world through his eyes, and understanding his struggles, passion, and vision on a much deeper level. By the time we left, we had a completely new appreciation of who Vincent Van Gogh was, both as an artist and as a person. It’s an experience that stays with you long after you’ve walked out the door.

I had a great experience. I would say it would take 1.5-2 hours to get through the museum. There is a lot of people (of course) which does make it harder to enjoy but what can you do. There is a lot to learn about his life. There are some other artists who were his friend or inspiration etc. The gift shops/ cafe are about the size of the museum itself but it has a huge selection too and reasonably priced. There are also lockers to store your bags/ coat hangers so you don’t have to carry around so much and can enjoy the works of art.

My local park. I love it & so do many many Amsterdamers.. Tourists, everyone. Busy and buzzing. With lots of wildlife and some quiet peaceful areas.. Lovely Rose garden. Playgrounds, Bars, restaurants and concert venue inside. It's a main thoroughfare into the city and in the mornings and evenings it's like a Football game has ended.. Great for running - just about 3.5km all the way around the place but also inline skating and cycling. Walking etc.. Outside smelly Dutch style urinals placed strategically about but also public toilets in the bars.. A long and fairly narrow green lung in the city.

A beautiful park to take a walk to or go by bike!!! If you have time you can just sit on a bench or on the grass and enjoy the calm nature around you. Really a beautiful place!

Vondelpark is amazing, i would just wish that Amsterdam had like 10 of Vondelparks. :) Great place to hang out and walk around out of the hustle and bustle of the city surrounding it. Vondelstraat is also a great neighborhood to walk through.

Walked through this beautiful Vondel park, lots of people taking advantage of this park, walking, running, biking, sitting on benches, sitting on the grass. Many people were here and I found I had to watch myself that I didn’t get in anyone’s way, still glad I checked this area out.

I absolutely loved the park the trees and roses were breathtaking to see in person. The sound of running water added such a calming touch, and the Japanese maples were stunning. It’s the perfect spot for yoga or simply unwinding after a busy day.

Vondelpark is a truly beautiful and relaxing place in the heart of Amsterdam. The park feels peaceful and full of life at the same time, with wide green spaces, winding paths, and lovely ponds. It’s perfect for walking, cycling, or simply sitting on a bench and enjoying the atmosphere. Whether you visit in the morning or at sunset, the scenery is charming and the vibe is welcoming. It’s a wonderful escape from the busy city streets and a must-see for anyone visiting Amsterdam.

Our favorite spot in Amsterdam! We walked and cycled across this park almost every day during our stay in Amsterdam, and each time we found a lovely spot inside this park. They have rose sections which I imagine would be best during spring or early summer. There are public toilets accessible in this park, not sure about the cleanliness.

A very interesting and fun museum to visit. Among regularly exhibits one can find interactive games and video terminals that are pretty fun for children. The staff was nice and accommodating.

Well, we are not Dutch. Just a small museum? Yes, but small museums are our favorite. Although we found familiar objects and things, we also learned new things. In our country, cheese is eaten more fresh and there is no tradition regarding cheese maturation. Among other things, we had no idea that the Netherlands exports so much cheese. It was pleasant and fun and together with the Kaasmarkt it completed the beautiful day we spent in Alkmaar.

Interesting idea of ​​a cheese museum! On a small surface there are exhibits that show you how the activity of producing cheese has developed over time. The fact that it also has an interactive part makes the small museum even more interesting.

We were really excited for the little cheese snack, but we didn’t get anything :(. Otherwise it was really cute, they made the best of the space they have. <3

A fun little museum, especially for kids, to spend an hour learning about the Dutch history of cheese 🧀. Lots of interesting facts to learn and machinery to see. My kids really loved the Interactive games in the museum, which kept them occupied quite a bit. The ladies at the entrance are lovely and the price is very fair. You even get a nice piece of cheese when you enter the museum and the kids get to do a fun sticker puzzle through the museum. If they hand it ik at the end they get a small price. Be sure to check the movie at the back which shows an insightful story you don't want to miss. It switches between English and Dutch every so often.

Such an interesting place to visit and learn about Edam and Gouda.

The museum opens at 13:00, both the museum and the shop are interesting. And can discover a lot of fun facts about cheese making, also there's a retro TV shows the cheese commercials from 1960 till recent.

Spectacular church, the highlight is the detailed painted glass windows. And it has a lot of them, as it is the longest church in the Netherlands.

It's called church however one might argue it should be catherdrall for it size. The main attraction of thie church are 72 mosaic windows that are mostly massive and kept extremely well, not to mentioned they were unlocked at the begining of 2nd war and kept safe fir the duration of war. The church is 1000 years old and so worth seeing. Be sure to take guided tour which will enrich your expirence so much with knowledge of the mosaic windows. If you do decided to visit the sweet Dutch city of Gouda for the Gouda expirence then this must be also on your list as it's stone throw away from the museum. Highly recommend!

Interesting church with beautiful stained glass windows. For 4 euros per adult (children free), you can climb the tower and look at Dordrecht from above. The climb is not easy and the stairs are narrow, but the views from there are wonderful.

This large church, in Gothic style, is officially the Church of Our Lady. It has a tower with a clock mechanism and there are currently 67 bells. They can be rung both by hand and electronically, and one of them is the heaviest in the Netherlands, weighing 10 tons. The entrance price is 4,00€ and it’s the largest church in the city.

We arrived almost at closing time. But the curator happy showed us around when she learned we came all the way from Singapore! The Synod of Dort (Dordrecht) had its opening session here! The diorama with explanation was a treat, though a litte biased in favour of the Remonstrants.

A nice surprise discovery to uncover this little jewel, the ceiling structure, the woodbench engraving, the modern vitrail... All sum up to an unexpected and excellent experience!

The entrance price, including audio-guide and raising to the tower is 4 💶. From the top of the tower you can enjoy an amazing view, find Rotterdam as well. The service women are very friendly. Amazing! 🤩 😍

The medieval Grote Kerk of Dordrecht, or Dordrecht Minster, is a building which is rich in history. Its origins lie in the 11th century. A great day trip from Rotterdam. The videos inside the boat are great, lovely electronic demonstrations, you can go inside a couple windmills. But the best part is how passionate the volunteers are. They love chatting about the water management system and Netherlands history. A wonderful place for a sunny day. Do be careful with the ferry, if you time it incorrectly, you'll be waiting for an hour to get there or back.

We didn’t have time to do the tour since we were biking through to Vreeswijk, but some of our colleagues were able to do a short tour and see the inside of the working windmills. The photos were really cool and I wish I could’ve done it. Great place to walk or bike. Beautiful scenery.

We visited this beautiful and serene UNESCO site in September. We enjoyed the boat ride and exploring the two windmills. I am glad to see that they kept these windmills in good conditions so that next generations appreciate them. Definitely worth visiting.

The Kinderdijk windmill complex in the Netherlands consists of several historic windmills arranged in a line along waterways. UNESCO Kinderdijk is absolutely beautiful and well worth the visit. The row of historic windmills set along the waterways feels almost timeless, and the scenery is peaceful, open, and incredibly photogenic. Walking or biking through the area gives you plenty of opportunities to enjoy the landscape, and the visitor center provides helpful background on the history and engineering behind the windmills. It’s a perfect blend of nature, culture, and Dutch heritage—a truly memorable experience.

The site is huge and it is very beautiful you can spend the day there and honestly I didn’t take the tour but it is recommended due to the fact that it allows you to see the area better and have a better experience. But the parking was really hard to be found and their parking places are extremely expensive!!

We came here in October on a Thursday so we knew going into it that it was off-season. Getting here via public transit from Rotterdam was a bit of a trek but we managed. We bought tickets and enjoyed all it had to offer. We walked through all the museum spaces, took the water shuttle and the water tour. It was a fun day out in nature to get some fresh air and getaway from the city. It seemed like you could explore the place without buying tickets but to access the museum exhibits, the museum style windmills and the water shuttle, you needed to show proof of tickets. The only thing I'd recommend is bringing your own food as the options were slim and the space to eat filled up quick once the rain started down pouring!

Here is absolutely stunning fields of colorful flowers, especially tulips, everywhere you look. It was quite crowded with tourists, but the atmosphere was still enjoyable. Outside the park, we rented bikes and explored the endless beautiful flower fields around Lisse a fantastic experience! Despite the crowds, I’d definitely love to come back.

Large and beautiful gardens with a multitude of tulip displays. It was lovely to walk around and see all the beds that are supported by local farmers. The indoor displays were great for a bit of variety. Spent about 3 hours total including a rest for lunch. Visited at the start of April, so before the peak season, but still quite tiring with the huge number of people. The bus and entry ticket was very convenient.

Its a spectacular garden with every colour of tulips and roses that you could imagine. Simply beautiful! There is also a section inside where they have arranged flowers and stuff, that too is worth seeing. Absolutely worth the money!!! Not-to-be-missed!

Visited Keukenhof in late March and had a lovely experience overall. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and getting there by bus was simple thanks to very clear signage and instructions throughout. While the outdoor tulips hadn’t bloomed yet (which is to be expected that early in the season), the indoor displays more than made up for it — vibrant, beautifully curated, and full of colour. The whole park is set in a stunning landscape, and even without the full bloom, it’s a peaceful and enjoyable place to walk around. I’ll definitely return again — but next time, a little later in the season to catch the gardens in full bloom.

One of the most beautiful gardens in the world. Highly recommended for people who love nature, flowers and looking for a day out to spend time close to nature. Amazing views and wide variety of Tulips. I have taken day trip from Amsterdam and it was well worth it.

VERY PRETTYY! visited it on march or april and it almost near the end of the season so some flowers are already got cut off, but still the collection is so pretty and it's less crowded! you should also buy and eat the strawberry covered chocolate and some snacks there! i also bought a bus ride from amsterdam from Klook!

My goodness, there is no other garden like this one. The place is huge and spectacular. There are flowers in every colour including black. Flowers are everywhere, left, right, behind and infront of you. The garden is located outside of Amsterdam and reachable by car or the Keukenhof bus which was very efficient. There are many people that visit this garden but you can still navigate easily if you come the earliest possible when the garden open. There are places on site to buy lunch and/or snacks. It is a bit pricey but the quality was really good so that worked out well. An amazing experience, I spent over 4 hrs at the garden, and took hundreds of photos. It is a must visit on anyone's list that loves tulips. It is a must to see the creativity in gardening, how much planning went into that, how much work was done, incredible experience for me.
