(Translated by Google) The hall inside is quite large. But the entrance door next to the balcony made people quite crowded. Really, you should set up a courtyard in front of the hall. Directly in front of the event elevator and receive various tickets. And you should open the door wider if there is a concert. ASEAN Night Bazaar Hatyai

Mentioned on
41 lists
Night market
Shopping
ASEAN Night Bazaar Hatyai is a bustling covered market that attracts both locals and tourists, offering a wide array of clothing, souvenirs, and classic Thai dishes. Spread over two floors, this night market is particularly popular among Muslim travelers. The ground floor features stalls selling affordable clothes, shoes, watches, and beauty products like facial masks with samples for testing. While prices may be higher compared to other markets in the area, visitors can still try their hand at bargaining.
This place have lots stalls selling garments, parking lots are plenty, but due to the crowd, parking lots are quite hard to find. There is a small food court on top of the place, offer some local food with reasonable price. But i strongly recommend the organizer make some improvement on ventilation of the market as it is so hot in there.

Variety of items and food for tourists. Located very close to Greenway market so you can enjoy shopping at the 2 places next to each other. Note that it's open in the evening and closed on Monday so check carefully before coming.
Ben W — Google review
Food - 5 stars. Cin Cao drink is soooo good & refreshing although it's milky? The tom yum from the yellow shop is the best tom yum we've had thus far (from a night market standard). The kerabu kaki ayam from the red shop is also good & the auntie who makes it is super sweet as well. Price wise - Very reasonable. Souvenir - Souvenir prices here are ok. It's not very cheap but not that expensive either. Recommended for the keychains / shirts / fridge magnets / typical souvenir with Hatyai or Thailand stamped on it hahah But for the inhalers (brand names), I think u can find cheaper elsewhere? For example I got 2 inhalers for 150B but I could get 6 for 180B from 7E. Clothes - The pricing here is a hit or miss. I would say it's kind of pricey for an okay-ish quality garments? But they are pretty generous with the discounts if you seem interested browsing their items haha Payment Method - For the food I think all places accept cash & QR. But for the clothes, some of them only accept cash although most of them accept QR payments. No card payments here.
Shary J — Google review
Masya Allah, Subhanallah… you will be spoiled for choice here, as there are so many things that can be bought as long as you have the money.☺️ There are a lot of choices to choose from, some good quality and some not, so be careful and inspect thoroughly the stuff that you want to buy. Price is reasonable, but if you’re good at bargaining perhaps you can get a good price. The food upstairs is also great, many to choose from, so much so you don’t know what to choose, cos’ one can only eat as much. ☺️ Food is mostly halal. The place gets very crowded on weekends. So please be careful and take care of your handbags and wallets. Also make sure the small children are safe and closely guarded under watchful eyes. Happy shopping and enjoy the food too.
Rahmah R — Google review
Food here is 💯! Must-try: Chin Cao (ask for less sugar, manih potong kaki), tendon soup, fried mussel and seafood kerabu makcik kalut (ask for less spicy). Visited on a Sunday night — not too crowded.

Frickin M — Google review
Many clothes and medicine selling with avarage same price, got food at upstairs and ground floor but difficult to find empty spaces, all full.. Suggest find place and reserved by our member 1st then others can one by one buy, food just nearest. Many tuk tuk waiting outside the market, better bargain, sometimes some of them put highly prices, better go by group its more cheaper.

Popular spot for tasty and cheap halal food with generous portions | A lot of food stalls | Must-visit place for local food hunting | Most favourable time after 7 pm (if you not prefer crowded area can come early for dinner)

Kho Hong Mountain vista point

Nature & Parks
Parks
Food stalls, an aviary & a pavilion on a pond are installed amid sculpture & flower gardens.
I always take a walk or jogging at this place. Fresh air in early morning. Convenient road, fully cover with a lot of trees like you're under nature blanket. The place is really safe even you are the woman who wanna walk alone. Sometimes, I went around 5pm and finished about 7 or 8pm. But still somebody walking there. If you plan to visit Hatyai, i recommended to visit this good view point in Hatyai as well.
Joy C — Google review
Great view. Went there twice during my trip back in August 2025. The view was breathtaking! It is part of a big municipal park. So you can walk down the hill after enjoying the sunset and enjoy the view.
Meor — Google review
Kho Hong Mountain, located within the Hat Yai Municipal Park, is a natural gem that showcases the beauty of Thailand's southern landscape. Its lush greenery, breathtaking views, and serene environment make it a popular destination for both locals and tourists seeking a peaceful retreat from the city's hustle and bustle. One of the highlights of Kho Hong Mountain is the opportunity for outdoor activities. Hiking trails wind up to the peak, offering a moderate challenge for nature enthusiasts and providing spectacular panoramic views of Hat Yai and the surrounding area. on the top there is also Buddhist temple with the Golden Buddha Statue seen even from very far distance. Another appealing aspect of Kho Hong Mountain is the sense of tranquility it offers. The park is well-maintained, with picnic areas and sculptures that contribute to a relaxing atmosphere. It's a great spot for families and friends to gather, unwind, and enjoy nature together. In my opinion, Kho Hong Mountain is not only a natural wonder but also an important part of Hat Yai's community. It encourages an appreciation for the environment, promotes physical activity, and fosters a sense of unity. As urbanization continues to expand, having such green spaces is essential for enhancing quality of life and preserving the natural beauty of the region.

Visited Kho Hong Mountain Vista Point during my trip to Hatyai, and it turned out to be one of the most peaceful and scenic spots I visited. If you’re looking for a place to enjoy a nice view of the city while escaping the hustle and bustle, this is definitely worth the stop. The staff at the area were friendly and helpful, making visitors feel welcome. They were approachable and willing to give directions or provide some basic information about the place. Even though it’s mainly a vista point, their presence made the visit smooth and safe. The environment here is very calm and relaxing. As you reach the top, the surroundings become quieter, and you immediately feel a sense of peace. It’s a nice place to sit down, slow down, and simply enjoy the moment. For those who like photography, it’s a great opportunity to capture some beautiful shots of Hatyai city from above. The view from Kho Hong Mountain is stunning. You can see Hatyai from a different perspective, with a wide panoramic view that looks especially nice during the early morning or late afternoon when the light is soft and the weather is cooler. It’s a perfect spot to take in the scenery and reflect. There is no entrance fee, and although there is no food or drink service here, the experience is more about enjoying the tranquility and the natural beauty. Overall, Kho Hong Mountain Vista Point is a great place to visit if you want to enjoy a peaceful atmosphere and one of the best views of Hatyai. It’s ideal for travelers who appreciate quiet moments, nature, and scenic lookouts. Highly recommended for a quick stop during your trip, especially if you want to enjoy the sunset or sunrise over the city.

Drive up the hill for 10 minutes, and suddenly you will find yourself at a beautiful viewpoint overlooking Hat Yai city and surroundings. On a day with good visibility, can see very far. There is a beautiful Buddha sculpture at the viewpoint, overlooking the city. Great place to visit and completely for free!

Khao Tangkuan

Mountain peak
Nature & Parks
Mountains
Khao Tangkuan, located west of Khao Noi, is the tallest of the twin hills and offers a funicular for easy access to its summit. Visitors can also climb the staircase for a less challenging ascent. At the top, there's a Buddhist temple and the Sala Phra Wihan Daeng Royal Pavilion with its dramatic Naga staircase. The panoramic views of Songkhla city and the sea are best enjoyed at sunrise or sunset.
Khao Tangkuan is a high mountain, which is about 2.000 feet from sea level. There are 2 option ways: - By elevator at the junction road between Khao Tang Kuan and KhaoNoi. Ticket elevator is 20 bath for children and 30 bath for adult. - Use the stair on the west side which is opposite to the elevator. There are stone stairs and many rest points and viewpoints. You can see the scenery from many levels. There is 145 steps from Naka Stairs to ViharnDaeng. Arrived at the top, there are really beautiful view, amazing place and worth to visit. High recommended!
Ulfah D — Google review
You need to pay 60 Baht to go up the hill via a cable car. Once your there, get your cameras ready to take scenic views of Songkhla, the town and the sea. Probably best times to visit would be during sunrise or sunset and not in the hot afternoon. At the base of the Hill, you will find a lady who sells coconut ice cream. Make sure not to miss it because it's different from the ice cream coconut shake, we Malaysians are familiar with especially when in Malacca.

1 of the simple sightseeing u can see which isn't that far from samila beach. There is a small tram that takes u to the hilltop to see the temple up there. Cost 30baht per adult and 20baht per child. Can't remember but if not mistaken if it's child is less than 90cm it's free. View is nice at the top but aside from that there is frankly nothing much to do here. Qué to get into the tram can get crazy during peak seasons but u probably can skip this for more interesting sights elsewhere

I once came to this place about 5 years ago. This place was good and clean. I also tried a streetfood that I've never found before in my own country, it has ice cream, coconut, bread, nut, etc. The food was very very very tasty. I love it!!!

Sights & Landmarks
The Golden Mermaid Statue is a must-see tourist spot at Samila Beach in southern Thailand. Visitors can enjoy the clean and beautiful atmosphere along the beach, with ample parking available just a short walk away. The area offers several photo spots and opportunities to purchase souvenirs and clothing from local vendors. In the evening, it's a great place for a leisurely stroll or picnic, with food and drink vendors lining the street.
First time visiting Songkhla’s Samila Beach, and the iconic mermaid statue did not disappoint! ✨ The atmosphere is so chill, with a refreshing sea breeze and endless waves rolling onto the shore. Tourists from everywhere come to soak in the beauty, and horseback riding along the coastline adds a magical touch. 🐎☀️ Nothing beats sipping a cool drink under the golden sun, embracing the peaceful seaside energy. Taking in the view, feeling the moment—this is beachside bliss at its finest.

Big beach stretch for miles.. Unfortunately not so clean. Lots of halal foods for the Muslims, not a problem to be here. Cleanliness would be an issue, difficult to find trash bins too.. Maybe to get the people to bring back the trashes but it doesn't really help.
Jefferi S — Google review
Beautiful landmark on Samila Beach and a must-see when visiting Songkhla. The Golden Mermaid Statue is iconic and perfect for photos — go in the late afternoon or at sunset for the best light and cooler weather. The beach is relaxing with stalls nearby for snacks and souvenirs. It can get crowded on weekends, so be patient if you want a clear photo.A quick but memorable stop — great for enjoying the sea breeze, snapping a few pictures, and soaking in local legend.
Mohd I — Google review
Visited the Golden Mermaid Statue during my trip to Songkhla and it was a truly memorable experience. This statue is one of the most iconic landmarks of Songkhla, and seeing it in person felt very special. Located right on the beautiful Samila Beach, the statue offers a great spot to take photos and enjoy the surrounding scenery. The environment around the statue is very well maintained. The beach is clean, the sand is soft, and the area feels calm and relaxing. It is a lovely place to spend some time just sitting down and enjoying the sea breeze. The view of the ocean is beautiful, especially in the morning or late afternoon when the lighting makes the scenery even more picturesque. The Golden Mermaid itself is quite stunning. The craftsmanship is beautiful, and it has a unique charm that draws both locals and tourists. There’s something magical about its story as well — the mermaid is said to be part of a local legend, which makes visiting the statue feel more meaningful. Many visitors, including myself, took time to take photos here, and it’s almost like a must-do activity when you are in Songkhla. Even though this is a popular tourist spot, it doesn’t feel too crowded most of the time, and the atmosphere is peaceful. There are some vendors nearby selling drinks, snacks, and souvenirs, which adds to the convenience if you want to spend more time there. Overall, I would give the Golden Mermaid Statue 4 out of 5. It’s a beautiful spot to appreciate both the culture and the natural beauty of Songkhla. Whether you’re here for photography, sightseeing, or simply to relax by the beach, this place is definitely worth including in your itinerary.

Points of Interest & Landmarks
Ton Nga Chang Wildlife Sanctuary is a stunning natural retreat nestled in the forested mountains of Southern Thailand, renowned for its breathtaking waterfall. This sanctuary offers visitors a refreshing escape from urban life, with opportunities to hike along various trails that cater to different skill levels. Each trail leads to picturesque waterfalls where you can take a dip and enjoy the serene surroundings. The area is also perfect for picnics, allowing you to soak up nature while enjoying delicious food amidst beautiful scenery.
Unspoiled nature so close to Hat Yai city. Virgin forest with 5km nature trail looping alongside the waterfall. The waterfall itself is amazing too. Be warned there are leeches in water upstream in waterfall section 3 and above. Ask me how I know.

40min short drive from hatyai Entrance fee : 200baht for non-thai. Alot parking spots, with some stalls selling foods. Toilets/changing rooms available. Clean. And there are some chalet inside. Huge area, there are 7 levels waterfall, but we only manage to go up(hiking) to 3rd one. Overall very nice waterfall. Alot of fishes at the first one. Good for family picnic.. Recommended for nature lover! Worth to visit..

Place was gorgeous and peaceful. Hubs and i came early to avoid the crowd but we were the 3rd group there before 10am. There's no proper place/seating to put your bags down and toilet is unfortunately quite far. Its at the carpark area before you make your way in the waterfall. If possible, please don't bring actual food(eg rice dishes) except biscuits, cause can feed the fishes. There's a lot. If have to bring food, please bring a plastic bag to throw your trash away outside of the area. Littering at a gorgeous place is criminal. Other reviews of the catfish are true, so please wear leggings/long pants if you have sensory issues or don't want to get a scar from the catfish sucking (which my hubs kena)

🌿 A Must-Visit Natural Gem – Ton Nga Chang Waterfall, Songkhla, Thailand 🌿 If you’re a nature lover or someone looking to reconnect with the outdoors, Ton Nga Chang Waterfall is an unforgettable destination that deserves a spot on your itinerary. Nestled deep within the Ton Nga Chang Wildlife Sanctuary in Hat Yai district, this majestic multi-tiered waterfall is one of Southern Thailand’s most breathtaking natural wonders. From the moment we entered the protected park area, we were greeted by lush greenery, fresh mountain air, and the serene sound of cascading water in the distance. The waterfall itself is divided into seven levels, each with its own unique charm and viewpoint. The most famous is the third tier, known as “Ton Nga Chang”, or “Elephant Tusk Falls,” where the water splits into two powerful streams, resembling the tusks of an elephant—truly a sight to behold! The trail leading to the upper levels is moderately challenging, offering a bit of adventure for hikers and nature enthusiasts. It’s well-maintained but natural, so wearing proper shoes is a must. Along the way, you’ll pass large boulders, shaded jungle paths, and small pools where visitors can rest or take a refreshing dip. It’s easy to lose track of time while enjoying the peaceful atmosphere and stunning views. 📸 Highlights: • Crystal-clear freshwater streams perfect for dipping your feet or swimming • Excellent photo spots at almost every level • Great for picnics, but do bring your own trash bag • Family-friendly up to level 2 or 3; more adventurous hiking beyond that • Wildlife sightings: butterflies, birds, and even monkeys if you’re lucky! 🛑 A Gentle Reminder to All Visitors: With increasing popularity, it’s more important than ever to protect and preserve this natural treasure. Please do not leave trash behind—bring your waste down with you and use the bins provided. Avoid using soap or shampoo in the streams, as they pollute the water and harm aquatic life. And please, never feed wild animals, as it disrupts their natural behavior and diet. 💚 Let’s all do our part to respect the beauty of nature so that future generations can enjoy it just as we have. The waterfall is clean, vibrant, and full of life—let’s keep it that way. 🌏 Leave nothing but footprints, take nothing but photos, and keep nature as you found it.

This waterfall is located approximately 45 minutes away from Hatyai town. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the area and it is a very nice place to have picnic and enjoy the greenery. We enjoyed feeding and playing with the fish. We will return to this waterfall for our next trip to Hatyai.

Tong Nga Chang Waterfalls is truly one of the crown jewels of Thailand's natural beauty. Nestled in the lush green surroundings of Songkhla Province, this breathtaking cascade offers a stunning display of nature that captivates the senses and provides a sense of tranquility that is hard to find elsewhere. One of the most remarkable features of Tong Nga Chang Waterfalls is its multi-tiered structure, creating a series of cascading pools that invite visitors to explore and enjoy. The sound of water flowing over rocks is both soothing and invigorating, making it a perfect retreat for anyone seeking a refreshing escape from the everyday grind. The clear water, surrounded by lush vegetation, is simply picturesque, providing ample opportunities for photography and reflection. Beyond its aesthetic appeal, the waterfalls serve as an excellent destination for outdoor enthusiasts. The surrounding area is ideal for hiking, trekking, and discovering the local wildlife. The well-maintained trails make it accessible for families, while the more adventurous can venture further into the surrounding national park. It not only offers a visual feast but also fosters a connection with the environment, urging visitors to appreciate and preserve the beauty of our planet. Tong Nga Chang Waterfalls charm lies in its ability to uplift the spirit and rejuvenate the soul, leaving a lasting impression on all who visit.

2 hour train ride from hatyai station. We stayed for a night & went for next day 6am boat trip for 1.5hr , with 1 boat cost 550baht. The lake during dawn is so dreamy with purple and pink sky☺️ recommended to bring phone with good night photography to capture. At almost end of the trip theres this one area with lost of birds flying during sunrise..gosh, beautiful! Too bad that lotus are only few during this time because of flooding. One of the staff recommend to go in March for lotus. Our boatman is very good in taking photo & videos👍recommended to go for this boat trip at least once

The boat ride was great experience. When into rain and shine but it didn’t stop us from enjoying the scenery. Apparently there was no much lotus flower during our visit in Dec. One must come during peak blossom season on Mar-Apr month.

The boat ride from the Thale Noi Waterfowl reserve was a fantastic experience. The crewman was experienced and knowledgeable in his tour. It went for at least 35 mins which was plenty of time to see the entire bay. We missed the water Buffalo on this day however nonetheless worth a ride out.

Thale Noi's non-hunting area is a freshwater lake where the diverse birdlife and wetlands are protected. A popular destination for birdwatching, exploring the wetlands and observing the local fishermen using traditional methods to catch fish. The water lilies and lotuses that blanket the lake in late April adds to its beauty.

Worth the visit. Boat ride cost 450 Baht for 1hr. Recommend to take the boat ride before 9am to see the lotus blooming and before the sun gets too hot.

Thung Khai Botanic Garden, also known as Peninsula Botanic Garden, is a sprawling 2,000 rai garden located in the National Reserved Forest of Thung Khai. It offers various nature trails catering to different interests and features attractions like the Canopy Walkway and an herb garden. Visitors can enjoy leisurely strolls or opt for a 3km walk taking around 1.5 hours.
Thung Khai Botanical Garden is an incredible spot for nature lovers! The paths are beautifully laid out yet feel quite wild, giving you an immersive jungle experience. One of the highlights is the canopy walkway, with its bridges and towers that offer stunning views of the lush greenery from above—an amazing perspective you don’t often get. Also, It’s completely free! It’s a very pleasant walk and a perfect way to spend a few hours surrounded by nature. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!

• A short hiking spot suitable for a one-hour round trip. • The main highlight here is the canopy walkway. However, in my opinion, the walkway is not well maintained and could be risk • Don’t visit if you expect a beautiful or scenic destination. Come only if you’re looking for a short walk surrounded by trees and nature.

A gem of a place to walk through natural forestry with an amazing canopy walkway. Very friendly old dog to greet you when you park. Give yourself a gentle hour plus. Nice little coffee and cake shop by the entrance too.

Not many people here.. Deserted place with free entrance. Bring a portable fan and also lots of mosquito repellent!! These bugs are plenty here! Go early in the morning when it's less hot. There's a toilet to the left of the entrance and also one at the exit. Plentiful parking. The trails itself are largely flat and the climb to the canopy is about 5 storeys high. Note some parts of the trail is slippery and full of leaves.

Lovely gardens with well designed walking paths and planting zones. Signage very clear and lovely amount of information. Some areas not particularly well maintained though, so some specimens not visible due to weeds or some displays very overgrown. Overall the canopy walk is definitely the highlight, if you are scared by heights though, maybe not for you! Very quiet and peaceful walk, approx 3km loop. And free to enter (we wrote our names on the sign in sheet, but there was no one around, so honestly could not tell you if tickets were required!). For plant nerds, most plants of significance had labels, so a good place to go to learn more about local flora.

I like this place it’s good to just enjoy walking and relaxing for about 1-1.5 hours along the 3 km walking path, stop to take photos at few spots. At the time (21 April 2025) the entrance fee still not applied but according to the officer, very soon it will be applied.

Underrated attraction close to the city Trang. Our hike took 1.15 hours with a total of 3 kilometers. You will hike on the ground (easy good path through an amazing jungle) and in the air (a beautiful canopy trail). Free entry without a tipping option. You will have to register your name though at the entrance. Recommended, especially when you are looking to have a peaceful and quiet time (we were the whole time alone). 😄 P.S. keep in mind that there is no Grab (drop on point is not supported in this area) on the way back to the city. Very weird, but we had to walk for a while.

It was fun. The staff person greeting visitors was very friendly and helpful. We bought natural mosquito repellent from her. We enjoyed hiking on the nature trail and climbing up to the canopy bridges. It was very quiet with only a few other visitors. Great to find a shady, cool place to hike that is not far from the city.

Ko Kradan is a small, forested island in Thailand known for its white-sand beaches and clear waters with a coral reef. It is part of the Trang coast, which boasts fine sandy beaches and several beautiful offshore islands. The island offers a peaceful and relatively undisturbed escape, providing a sense of seclusion that's hard to find elsewhere.
Spent five amazing days on Koh Kradan, and it was everything I hoped for—relaxing, beautiful, and untouched. We stayed at Koh Kradan Beach Resort, where the staff were so friendly, and the food at the restaurant was delicious. The island itself is pure paradise. Paradise Beach had the clearest water, perfect for swimming and lounging. We took a private long-tail boat tour to Koh Ngai and nearby islands, snorkeling in crystal-clear waters and exploring hidden spots. Walking around the island was lovely too, especially heading to Sunset Beach for the most incredible sunsets. Ao Niang Beach was rockier but still stunning. At night, the sky was unbelievably clear—we saw stars, planets, and constellations! I’d definitely come back and highly recommend visiting this beautiful, peaceful island if you’re looking for a chill escape. Already dreaming of my next trip!
Julie-Ann P — Google review
We arrived at Koh Kradan by boat around 10 AM, and there were very few people on the island at that time, it felt peaceful and untouched. Upon arrival, you need to pay an entrance fee of 200 baht for adults and 100 baht for children. There are no proper bars or restaurants on the island, just a small shack that sells Coca-Cola, water, and some snacks like chips. By noon, the island started to get much more crowded. The sea also changed, the tide came in and the water was no longer as crystal clear as it was in the morning. There are restrooms available, as well as an outdoor shower, which is a nice touch if you’ve been swimming.

It's a peaceful, beautiful island with very few people.. I can understand when people call it paradise..
Daniela T — Google review
Koh Kradan is a beautiful island, definitely worth coming and staying here for at least a couple of days. An island has 3 beaches: main beach, sunset beach and ao-nieng beach. That is not a party island, that is a quiet, relaxing place with beautiful nature. We stayed at Paradise Lost Bungalows resort, it is the only resort which is situated in the jungle, in the middle of the island which is very convenient location to all of 3 beaches.
Olga S — Google review
Even though it is very crowded at Koh Kradan, when you walk to the sides of the islands, you are still almost alone as everyone just stays near the pier. The water is even more beautifully blue on the sides! It is a true paradise island, and you can see why it was voted as best beach in the world before.
Stephen — Google review
Our Hosts at The Sunny Hill Villa arranged a day trip to the Island for our party, private long tail boat who drop you to the beach and the relaxed and waited for our return. The beaches were stunning!! The Snorkeling, incredible! The water is crystal clear and warm. Fish colourful and inquisitive! There are a couple of resorts on the beach so we grabbed a drink or two and had an amazing day! I would add this island to your list if you have the time!! Fantastic reccomendation from The Sunny Hill Villa and thank you for arranging the whole thing for us. 10 out of 10!
MyNamesJeff — Google review
There are only four hotels on the east side of the island, all of which have private beaches. Even if you go 200 meters from the shore, the water does not reach your waist and is crystal clear. You won't get bored even if you lie on a chair all day. We stayed at Seven Sea Resort.
小原稔 — Google review
We came here on a tour low season May on Thai coronation holiday being informed this was voted best beach in the world. We were disappointed as the main beach was just lined up with boats all along , the water foamy from the pollution from the boats and the mass tourism. We didn’t enjoy swimming until the tours had mostly left in the afternoon to enjoy a cleaner swim . We could see that the Paradise beach is beautiful when there are not a lot of people but these days, there are 2000/day on average visiting this small island with just 1 long stretch of beach and one small one via a 20 min jungle walk . The main beach has already been spoiled by the mass tourism in only a couple of months.

Emerald Cave, a popular attraction in Koh Mukk, offers an exciting adventure for visitors. Accessible by small kayak or boat, the cave features a short swim through dark passages before emerging onto a hidden beach with breathtaking views. Despite initial nervousness about enclosed spaces, many tourists found the experience to be safe and enjoyable with the help of guides providing head torches and float vests. Some recommend visiting at off-peak times to fully appreciate the marvel of nature without crowds.
Incredible ! You can hire a kayak from Charlie beach @ 100 THB / hour (2 hrs covers this whole trip) Remember to take a torch or waterproof phone as it’s a 80m tunnel which after 20m is pitch black… We arrived around 10hrs after a 30 mins kayak along the coast. Tied up the kayaks as you’re not allowed to paddle in there anymore. Wearing buoyancy aids was a good idea even though we’re confident swimmers, when it’s pitch black inside you don’t want to worry about treading water. Arrived with no one on beach, with 100m walls all around you. No crowds, stalls - just our names in the sand Leave no trace Amazing

Amazing cave, if you go around 1.30 when the sun hits the west side of the island, the cave really looks like an Emerald cave, be careful of public holidays it can be absolutely packed!!
JazzandPick W — Google review
I usually don’t leave reviews on sites, but this one deserves it! Yes there are tours that go to the caves… and it might seem overblown and popular… but it is seriously AMAZING!! The swim through the caves is unforgettable and the jungle on the inside is glorious.

Our Hosts at The Sunny Hill Villa included a visit to Emerald Cave for us in our day to Koh Mukk. The water is very calm and warm, it is a short (3-4 min) swim through dark caves. Although the guides have and provide head torches and float vests so all very safe. The hidden beach at the other end is breath taking!! Thank you again Sunny Hill, what an amazing day!!!

It was a truly unforgettable experience. If you haven't had the chance to visit this natural wonder yet, we highly recommend it!

We went here at mid tide with our 4 islands long tail tour! I was nervous as I don’t love enclosed spaces if dark and reading other reviews implied that. However our experience was so good - tour guide had a headlight which was great but honestly you swim through the first stretch and you can still see the entrance and light from it if you look back, swim around the little bend and there’s a small stretch that’s dark but you can almost straight away see the exit light coming through! Again this was our experience at the tide time - ended up being so fun and took us about 4-5 mins to swim through max! Beach is beautiful, busy but still worth it!

It was a spontaneous trip to not the most touristy Thailand. And this beach struck with its beauty, the sunset, with the sun setting behind the rock, atmospheric boats standing at low tide. The entire beach is dotted with many shells of bizarre shapes. Would recommend to visit with cold watermelon! 😄

...A beach in Thailand Located in the area of Mai Fat Subdistrict, Sikao District, Trang Province, it is currently under the care of Hat Chao Mai National Park, which is nearby. It is one of the famous beaches and a popular tourist destination in Trang Province. It is known as one of the first tourist attractions that people often think of and go to in Trang Province. ...Pak Meng Beach is approximately 35 kilometers from Mueang Trang District. It is a crescent-shaped beach next to the Andaman Sea of the Indian Ocean. When the tide is lowest, it is 500 meters wide, so much so that a car can be driven down. Because the sand is dense enough to support the weight of a car. There is an observation point: a giant man-shaped horn lying on its back. It is called "Khao Meng" or "Ko Meng" which is the origin of the name. which comes from the folk tale of Old Meng An old fisherman who is about to marry his daughter named Muk to Phraya Lanta. There is great beauty at sunset. It is flanked by 5 kilometers of sea pine trees. Next to Hat Chao Mai National Park, there are also 2 concrete bridges that are popularly used as fishing grounds. In addition, It is also the location of Pak Meng Pier. Which is a pier that sends tourists to various islands in the sea area of Trang Province such as Ko Mook, Morakot Cave, Ko Ngai.

The uninhabited islands offer unspoiled beaches and coves accessible by sea kayaking or boat tours.
No words to describe this place. I'm so stunned with the view. Defo💯 recommended. How to get there: -The place is further down the Island. We stayed at Kantiang Bay so it's not too far from us (around 15-20 mins motorcycle drive) roads are steepy and zigzag but lil scooters can still able to make it. -becareful when driving for there are some cutie monkeys on the road. -There are entrance fee (+20 baht for parking) - you can choose 2 trails An hour trail (2km+) or a 20 min near the shore and around the property walk. - the 2km walk trail is very steepy at the first 400m but then easy walk for a km and then a bit steep down . -I recommend you start the trail at the parking lot steps because the end point is rewarding.... A beautiful beach and a lighthouse. - signage says here are animals such as deers, monkeys hornbills and sorts but we didn't encounter any during the trail. Oh except massive monitor lizards. -the beach is clean and nice but there is a specific spot for swimming with a lifeguard on the watch. The beach is clear but a bit rocky. - I recommend to go up in the lighthouse at sunset cos it's really stunning. -this place is surreal recommended time to visit is around 4pm -5pm and then spend the sunset on the nearby bay. The park also sells beverages and snacks.

The lighthouse on the south point of Ko Lanta was an absolute must-see. The drive there is beautiful, with lush scenery along the way, and we even spotted loads of animals, including playful monkeys. The views from the top are stunning, stretching out over the sea and coastline, and the climb up only takes about ten minutes, making it manageable even for tired travelers like us. It is the perfect spot to enjoy the natural beauty of Ko Lanta, take some amazing photos, and soak in the peaceful surroundings. We would definitely recommend making the trip if you are on the island.

A great day out and good value for money. We started with the hour long trek up through the tropical forest, ending up on the stunning beach. The trek can be quite slippy and steep at times, but no real issues if you're reasonably fit. We came prepared, and after a nice swim ate our own packed lunch on the beach. After lunch we then did the small walk up to and around the lighthouse. We really enjoyed the day and thought the entry fee of 200 Baht was justified (plus 40 Baht for our scooter). Highly recommend this place.

One of the Top 5 beaches of Ko Lanta. ALWAYS CLEANED. BEWARE OF AGRESSIVES/THIEVES MONKEYS 🐒. Both beach "rocky or sandy" next to each other. A nice 1h trail and some impressive cliffs after the lighthouse. Some snacks and lite meals at the park restaurant. Plenty of parking and toilet and even shower. Same ticket to visit the waterfall (samme day only) somes few km more north

Definitely worth visiting and paying the 200 THB entrance fee. It’s a very beautiful and well-maintained place with a nice, calm beach and no waves. We even spotted a monitor lizard during our visit! Just be careful on the downhill road after buying your ticket – it’s really steep, and you should go slowly to avoid overheating your scooter brakes.
Kuba — Google review
Very beautiful- little steep journey on the last 10 or so mins but we had 125cc for 2 people but made it alright. Beach looks really nice to swim in but we didn’t have swimming things so I would bringing that. Trek is around a hour loop. 200 bhat entry per foreign adult plus a motor bike fee of 20 bhat

A place definitely worth a visit if you are in Koh Lanta. Entrance fee is around few hundred baht for two persons and a scooter. The hill down to the parking area is quite steep so make sure your brakes work! To get to the lighthouse requires a short hike but it is worth it!

We liked this beach as it had shade due to the cliff at the north end. Water is pretty similar to Niu, but more quiet vibe!

Possibly the best beach on the island. Very wide, long, nice sand, with waves. There are rocks out in the water though, I saw one poor lady had cut her foot on the rocks.

Excellent choice if you're looking to get away from the crowds. Absolutely stunning beach, just huge - with amazing soft sand. Unfortunately as with many beaches these days it falls victim to the amount of pollution we have the world over and does get a lot of washed up debris plastic. You will need your own transport - we hired a 250cc which managed fine but you might struggle on a small scooter. Couple of places down here to eat and stay. We stayed at the Bamboo Bay Resort which sounds a lot posher than it is! very happy with everything there, food was great, the rooms were good compared to Thai standards. Its all set on the side of a hill so involves a bit of uphill walking. Would definitely go back.

So so. The beach is very wide and have several river mouths, and they are pouring out on the beach with wastewater and trash. Another bad thing in my opinion is that there are NO single tree on thee whole beach where you can hide in the shade. You need to buy a parasol or rent one and a sunbed if you want to hide the sun. Otherwise a really nice bay.

Lanta Old Town, located on the east coast of Koh Lanta, is a charming and low-key street featuring stores and eateries housed in old wooden buildings. Originally a sea gypsy settlement, it has transformed into a trading village and served as the island's port and commercial center. The area boasts traditional Thai fishing villages with picturesque wooden houses built on stilts over the water.
Old Town is a peaceful, charming spot on the east coast of the island, perfect if you want a break from the beach crowds. The old wooden buildings on stilts, traditional shopfronts, and calm sea views give the place a laid-back, nostalgic vibe. We loved strolling through the main street, exploring the local shops and small cafes. The seafood here is super fresh, definitely try one of the restaurants with seating over the water. The locals are friendly, and there’s a real sense of community here. The pier is a great photo spot, especially at sunset. And if you’re lucky, you might catch the weekend market with local snacks, crafts, and music. It’s not a big town, but that’s what makes it special. Great for slow travel, soaking in local life, and just unwinding. Would come back again.

Lanta Old Town is an incredibly charming and peaceful place where you can experience the true spirit of Thailand from years gone by. Wooden houses on stilts, colorful shops, local cafes, and restaurants overlooking the sea create a unique, intimate atmosphere. It's the perfect place to stroll, shop for handicrafts, and savor delicious food overlooking the bay. The locals are friendly, and the pace of life here is slower, allowing for complete relaxation. Lanta Old Town is a must-see for anyone wanting to see the authentic, tranquil side of Koh Lanta. 🌊🌺🛶

This was a fun visit to roam around a bit. There are many souvenir shops and the area definitely has a charm to it. The souvenir options are mostly the same in all of the shops, but sometimes you can find something unique and handmade as well. Most restaurants/bars have an outside area out to the water which has a great vibe. We went in the evening so it wasn’t too hot.

The town is beautifully quiet, with peaceful atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at ease. Small, locally owned shops line the small street, each offering something unique. The architecture is a mix of old wooden houses on stilts and is a must visit on the island. Easy to rent a bike for the day and your off exploring 😊

A quaint old town of rows of wooden houses selling souvenirs for tourist. Clean and charming. Its a must visit to an otherwise quite a boring Ko Lanta. Those seeking quietness and tranquility would appreciate Ko Lanta. The beaches are numerous and endless. The downside of coming here during the off peak period is that most hotels and resorts are closed. Price of everything is above average ,maybe due to its touristic reasons. Well , been here , done that and thats it.

Very low key. They have a few souvenir shops and restaurants and you could probably walk across the whole thing in ten minutes. You can sit in a cafe and have lunch or coffee for hours and they won’t kick you out. It’s very laid back. Just find a spot to lounge and enjoy the sea view.

This is such a gorgeous place. We joined a tour and learnt so much about what they do, how their donations make a difference and the history of some of their animals. We also met a lot of the cats and dogs. I was so in love with how they made sure any interaction was on the animal's terms, not the humans. Adopt don't shop!

incredible visit at Lanta Animal Welfare centre. the work done here is incredibly important, and you can tell everyone who works here from the hosts to the volunteers are passionate about what they do, and rehabilitate animals in need aswell as providing much needed vaccinations and sterilisations to other animals all across thailand. the tour itself was super informative and interesting, going into the history of the center aswell as the logistics of caring for so many animals. a must visit if you love animals and want to support an amazing charity. The Lanta Animal Welfare Visitor Centre is an amazing Organisation which is doing an amazing job at rehabilitating cats and dogs. They also have programs to sterilise and vaccinate the freeroaming animals on Koh Lanta. During the tour you get to see the cats, the dogs, learn about the history and even get a look into the intensive care unit. Afterwards you can continue to play with the cats and buy merch. All the profits go to keeping the centre open. Definitely worth a visit.

I came here twice, once in the morning to visit the refuge and the next day for the cooking class, everything was great!! I wanted to thank in particular the two guides, Noi and… unfortunately, I've forgotten the first name of the guide at the refuge (a tall, dark-haired man from UK :)) Thank you for all your explanations, your kindness, and above all, your passion. And of course thanks to the whole team for working in such a helpful place for animals, and thank for putting such wonderful things in place :) I don't know if I'll ever return to Koh Lanta, but if I do, I'll come back to visit the animals a third time!

Such an amazing experience , The team are incredible and so lovely. The tour itself is very informative and really interesting to learn about what the welfare sanctuary do both in koh lanta and in mobile units .As well as obviously getting the opportunity to meet super cute animals. I highly recommend for such a cheap price as a lovely morning experience. If I had the time to do the cooking class I definitely would as they put all the money you pay back into the welfare centre. What the team do here is amazing, a definite visit in koh lanta.

Beautiful beach. Quiet and clean. Plenty of restaurants along the beach.

Pra-Ae Beach/Long Beach can be a beautiful beach that is wonderful for swimming....BUT you have to be in the right part of this beach.......good waves to play in and float...gets deep very fast but not any strong rip currents or any rocks ...at least that was me experience staying at Lanta Sand Resort for a couple weeks.......This was by far the most enjoyable water I have experienced in Thailand...which includes Ao Nang, Railay and Phi Phi so far. The resort does a great job of keeping their significant area of beach very clean which is not the case as you walk further south....Long Beach gets extremely dirty in spots and can get very rocky too.

Nice beach for walking, running and sunset🧡
Lilly W — Google review
This is a nice beach with a long stretch of beautiful sand. These photographs were taken in the early morning, so it's empty, and the place is all for you. It gets busy during the day, especially during sunset, where there are a lot of bars to sit from, and it enjoy the view. The demographic is mixed with young and old and families with kids. During the night, the beach is literally empty and quiet. There are massage places on the beach which is nice. It's a nice beach in my opinion to chill out.

One of the best beaches in Koh Lanta in terms of location and facilities around. It is a very long strip of yellow grayish sand with pine trees. The trees provide shadow and create relaxing ambience. Water is clean and pleasant, there are no rocks underwater like on other beaches, the entrance to the sea is deep enough even during low tides. Not so many people as on khlong dao beach, which makes it more private and peaceful. However beware of many jellyfish! I counted more than 7 in a few meters distance. My Thai friends told me these jellyfish are dangerous. But I also saw them on other Koh Lanta beaches. I guess, it depends on a season, or they were just brought by a storm.

My favorite beach on Koh Lanta. Long stretch of sand walkable for several kilometers. Great restaurants along the way (Lyms has excellent Pad Thai and Cashew chicken). Perfect sun sets as well. A must see beach if you are visiting the island. This type of place makes you never want to leave!

Sailboats, sunsets, volleyball, music, and good snorkeling at the north end makes this an ideal holiday beach.

Scenic spot
Nestled within the lush Thung Teao Forest Natural Park in Southern Thailand, Emerald Pool, also known as Sa Morakot, is a popular mineral pool and swimming spot. The vibrant blue-green waters are surrounded by jungle foliage and can be captured for stunning photos. Fed by an underground spring, the pool offers a refreshing dip in its crystal-clear mineral-rich waters. This natural hot spring is located in an area rich in biodiversity with natural trails and other ponds like the Blue Pool nearby.
This place was a pure stunning wonder of nature.the walk through the jungle is an opportunity to see plants and insects. the water is a emerald green and crystal clear, and there's a unique hot waterfall that cascades into a natural pool. The walk to get there is just as amazing, taking you along a comfortable path through a lush, vibrant green jungle. It's a breathtaking and memorable experience that I highly recommend.

Great walk. Please note its 400baht no atm etc nearby so you need take cash. The walk is great this is my second time here. The pool where you can swim does get very busy so i highly recomend leaving very early they say it opens from 10 but when we got there there were already heaps of people walking back i would say try and get there around 9am min. Also do the full walk past the swimming area to the blue pool its a great walk and worth the visit since while your there. No many people do it so its relaxing and only takes 15min enjoy
Rich R — Google review
A place for nature lovers. A little bit far from Krabi but good to go there. You walk about 1 km from the entrance to emerald pool and you can walk more to the blue pool. Everything is beautiful. You feel the jungle. Its worth the effort.
Eli S — Google review
We got there 10 minutes before opening (which is at 8:30) but they let us in anyway. There are 2 routes to the emerald pool, one scenic through the swamp (1000m) and one following the road (800m). We had the pool for almost ourselves for about 20 min, then it got busy real quick. The rocks are extremely slippery but the water is very pleasant. Blue pool opens later and it is another few hundred meters walk to get there.
Sz G — Google review
So pretty, you have the choice of taking a nature walk to see all three pool or to take a straight road to the emerald pool, the nature path is 1km and the straight path is 800m, I personally reccomend taking the nature path and taking your time, the walk itself is beautiful and you get to see all the pools before having a nice swim in the emerald pool. It's also close to the hot springs that you can enjoy on your day trip

My friend and I had an amazing experience at the Emerald Pool in Krabi. The nature trails offered beautiful scenery, and the reward was a refreshing swim in the truly crystal clear, vibrant water. It’s a stunning natural wonder that you absolutely must see! We booked our seamless one-day trip through Klook and highly recommend it for an easy excursion.

Hot Stream Krabi is a natural hot spring with water flowing from thermal springs in volcanic chambers, creating a relaxing experience. Visitors can enjoy the 35-40 degree Celsius water, forming small natural pools and a waterfall for a soothing "jacuzzi" effect. It's recommended to visit during weekdays to avoid crowds and bring clothes and towels for changing after the bath. The area also offers shopping and refreshments.
We joined a group tour, after Emerald Pool we made our way to the hot springs. We were not really sure what to expect, but hoping for the best. It was pretty amazing. several different pools, with different temperatures of water. All of the water was very hot, and felt amazing when we soaked in it. Just as our time was up it started to rain. It was perfect timing and a great experience. The shop at the entrance to the pools had coffee, tea and snacks. There were also washrooms and change rooms available. The ground was uneven and not flat, I would not recommend if you require assistant to walk or balance. Erin EnD Adventures

The water is very hot. There are two pools , one of them is too hot to enter at all, and the other is slightly less hot but still uncomfortable to stay in for more than a few minutes. There’s also a river that starts with hot water flowing through the rocks, and after a small waterfall, the water becomes cold. This place is not suitable for children. If you’re traveling with kids, it’s better to choose a different location.
Nir H — Google review
Great place to relax. Water is hot as described. One of the pools actually is hotter than the stream as well as the rest of the pools. The natural stream does have a slight smell to it (as it contains negligible amounts of a few elements - mentioned in the board.) We rode in on our motorcycle and got wet in the rains, we reached there shivering. Entering the hot pool was immensly relaxing after that. 200TBH per person. If you go early when it open you will have the place to yourself.
Vivek R — Google review
This spot is really lovely! I was expecting a huge place, but it's a small and beautiful natural hot springs. There are three sections: one with a very hot pool, a second with a cooler one, and a third with a waterfall.
Narkis G — Google review
An amazing natural hot spring. We arrived around 4:30pm, hence it was nice and quiet. We really enjoyed relaxing in the pools. The ticket is 200thb. We didn’t take a shuttle bus, as it is a 5min walk. I would highly recommend it!
Kristina R — Google review
The springs are great and clean, but quite touristy, so it’s best to go right when they open. You need to walk about 5 minutes from the entrance to reach the springs, so it’s very quick. It’s definitely a place to visit in Krabi!
Francois B — Google review
Beautiful and relaxing place! The surroundings of the hot spring are truly stunning. The water feels incredibly pleasant and soothing — I only wish the time limit wasn't just 20 minutes, because you could easily stay in there for hours. One big advantage is that the entire hot spring area is sheltered and located under trees, which provide plenty of natural shade. A wonderful experience overall! However, it's important to be very careful as the stones around the spring are extremely slippery.
Rafał Z — Google review
This is the hot spring I would recommend for tourists. Water temperature is so nice, place is clean and well maintained with adequate signage. Waterfall is gorgeous and most importantly not a boiled egg in sight!

Beautiful Maya Bay Beach surrounded by a lagoon. When I visited here a few years ago, I was not allowed to land on the island due to environmental conservation reasons, so I am very happy to be able to return to this place and land on the island again. There are baby sharks on Maya Bay Beach, although I was not able to see them.

Anna S — Google review
We experienced the Phi Phi Island Tour by AM Travel and Tour on 29th September with our family (2 adults and 2 kids). We booked it through PROUD Travel and the package cost us 5,200 THB, including an Indian buffet lunch. The trip started from the pier in Phuket, and after about a 45-minute speedboat ride, we reached Monkey Beach, where we spent around 40 minutes. The beach was clean, and it was fun watching the monkeys up close (though it’s best to keep some distance). Our next stop was Viking Cave, where we learned about its history and the famous bird’s nest collection — the boat stops close enough to take photos and enjoy the view. We then moved to Loh Samah Bay for about 45 minutes, followed by Pileh Cove, which was one of the highlights of the trip. The speedboat anchored in still turquoise waters near the cliffs, giving travelers the chance to swim and soak in the surroundings — truly beautiful and peaceful. The last stop was Khai Island, where we spent around 1.5 hours relaxing on the beach and enjoying some snacks and drinks. Unfortunately, we couldn’t visit Maya Bay due to bad weather conditions. The return journey was quite rough because of choppy waves, and those 40 minutes on the speedboat were honestly quite scary, especially with kids. Overall, it was a unique and memorable experience, offering a mix of scenic beauty and adventure. The crew was friendly and helpful throughout the trip. However, I’d advise travelers to check weather conditions before booking, as the sea can get rough and may affect both safety and comfort.

Wow, wow , Wow ....GO early (7-8 am) to avoid mid day crowds and heat, but......GO GO GO. This is a dramatic , beautiful, stunningly gorgeous island located about 30 minutes by boat from Koh Phi Phi Don ( the main Koh Phi Phi island) . You can go with a group ( usually less expensive) or you can rent a private boat taxi service ( my choice . ( I paid 2000 Thb , about $60.00 USD for 4 hours)) . I wanted the flexibility with snorkeling as my priority. I did not want to go to the over-crowded Maya Bay stop . I still saw it from the boat but didn't walk on the beach.... I also avoided the 400 Thb fee to disembark at Maya Bay.😁😁🤟🤟 Snorkeling recommended....see turtles, shark, giant clams, all manner of corals and fish. Even if you don't want to snorkel, this island should be visited. USE RESTROOMS 🚻 BEFORE YOU GO!!!!!!!! Handicap is doable with caution ⚠️. ...entering and exiting the boats to get there requires a certain amount of mobility Final Take. Strongly recommended for anyone wanting to be dazzled by this stunning location. Bring a phone and / or a camera 📷....photo ops EVERYWHERE 🤔!!!!!!!

Maya Bay is a stunning beach renowned for its crystal-clear waters and powdery white sand, famously featured in a popular film. Visitors often embark on tours that include snorkeling in this picturesque bay, alongside other breathtaking spots like the Phi Phi Leh Lagoon. While many travelers appreciate the flexibility of their tour guides who adapt itineraries based on weather and crowd conditions, experiences can vary.
The most beautiful part of thailand. This place is a paradise. We cannot swim in this water. But the place is worth the time. Clear waters, stunning landscapes. This place is a must. The sand is clean white as you can see in the video
Bhavesh R — Google review
Maya Bay is one of the most breathtaking places I’ve ever visited. The sheer beauty of this iconic beach exceeded all my expectations, and it’s easy to see why it became so famous after being featured in The Beach. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I’d stepped into a postcard-perfect paradise. The first thing you notice is the dramatic limestone cliffs that surround the bay, creating a sense of secluded serenity. The turquoise water is so clear you can see the sandy bottom even from the boat. The sand is soft, powdery, and incredibly white—perfect for walking barefoot. The lush green landscape adds to the dreamlike vibe of the place. To help preserve its natural beauty, access to Maya Bay is now limited and boats aren’t allowed to dock directly on the beach. This system is a fantastic way to protect the ecosystem, but it also means you’ll need to swim or wade a short distance from the boat. Honestly, it’s worth the effort. I really appreciated the environmental efforts in place. There are signs everywhere reminding visitors not to litter or disturb wildlife, and some areas are roped off to protect the coral reefs. Our guide shared a lot about the bay’s history and its ecological importance, which made me feel like I was contributing to preserving this beautiful spot for the future. That said, the beach can get pretty crowded even with visitor limits. It’s best to go early in the morning to avoid the rush. You’ll also want to book your tour in advance since spots fill up quickly. If you enjoy snorkeling, you’ll love the waters around the bay. They’re full of marine life. It was both peaceful and exciting at the same time. it’s an experience. The stunning scenery, the crystal-clear water and the feeling of being surrounded by nature make it unforgettable. Even though it’s popular and can get crowded, it’s a must-visit if you’re in Phuket. A quick tip , bring a waterproof bag for your things, wear reef-safe sunscreen and don’t forget your camera. Trust me, you’ll want to remember every moment here.
Rohini P — Google review
This beach is absolutely stunning! The scenery is breathtaking, with crystal-clear waters, soft golden sand, and beautiful surroundings that make it feel like paradise. The atmosphere is vibrant, with plenty of activities and people enjoying the sun and sea. However, it can get quite crowded, especially during peak hours, making it a bit difficult to find a quiet spot. Despite the crowds, the beach’s natural beauty makes it well worth the visit. Just be prepared for a bustling environment, and if you’re looking for some peace and quiet, try to visit early in the morning or later in the evening.
John — Google review
Extremely popular and iconic beach, The sand is so soft, at the moment you are not permitted to swim in the bay in an effort to conserve the sharks. An inteseting walk from the docking area to the actual beach. Well worth a visit.
Alhaurin “ — Google review
It’s an extremely beautiful beach, unfortunately destroyed by mass tourism. We departed for Maya Bay at 9:30 and arrived around 10:30, which turned out to be already way too late. Just hordes of tourists, you had to “wait in line” for your turn to take a picture/selfie of this superb beach. Sharks are there, too, so don’t go in too deep. In order to get the vibe of this beach, you need to arrive like at 8am or earlier, I guess.
Tymoteusz M — Google review
Incredibly beautiful and very well-maintained. Although the place gets extremely crowded and everyone seems to be in a rush, it still remains neat, clean, and truly worth visiting.
Vakul P — Google review
This bay is absolutely breathtaking!! The water is so blue and the scenery around is beautiful! I was also lucky enough to see a black tip reef shark! Only problem is the crowds. I even went at 6am and there were still crowds. I would recommend just going in the afternoon so you can really get the full electric blue water experience. The crowds are the same no matter what.
Lily N — Google review
Maya Bay is one of the most beautiful beaches and islands I've ever seen in my life. We were lucky enough to take a tour before sunrise, leaving at 5:30 AM, and arriving just as the island opened, so we had it all to ourselves. The beach is absolutely stunning, with crystal-clear water and dramatic cliffs surrounding it. While swimming is not allowed to protect the environment, it's the perfect place to enjoy the surroundings and admire the breathtaking landscape in peace. If you have the chance to visit, going early in the morning is highly recommended for a tranquil experience.

Phi Phi Viewpoint 3 is a popular spot on the island, offering breathtaking panoramic views and a charming café. The ascent to the viewpoint is a challenging but rewarding 20-30 minute hike up steep steps and narrow paths. Visitors are advised to take breaks and stay hydrated during the climb. Once at the top, hikers are treated to stunning vistas of Phi Phi Don's lush mountains.
The Phi Phi Island viewpoint offers breathtaking panoramic views that are truly unforgettable. The hike to the top is a bit challenging, but the stunning scenery of turquoise waters and lush greenery makes it all worthwhile. It's the perfect spot for photography and appreciating the natural beauty of the islands. A must-visit for anyone traveling to Phi Phi!

Long hike up the hill. Well worth it when you get there. Spectacular views of koh phi phi. Nice café at top to rest, refresh and take advantage of such great vistas. Café very reasonable prices, nice to see not taking advantage of tourists in anyway. Will not disappoint doing the walk up there.

A lookout point situated high up from where you can see phi phi don, maya bay, krabi in the distance. The view point opens at 5:30 am and last entry is somewhere around 6:30 pm. It has an entry fee of 50 baht. The climb is really steep rapidly gaining altitude. It’s a mix of stairs and slopes and at the end you have a viewing deck. You can expect a lot of crowd during the sunset time. There is also a cafe at the view point. There is photography service available at the top but it’s only during the day. Sunset from here is very picturesque. Sun sets behind the hills of phi phi and the sea changes it’s colours from turquoise to deep blue to Orange and then deep red within a few minutes.

If you’re looking for the ultimate panoramic view of Koh Phi Phi, you absolutely must push past Viewpoint 2 and make the final, rewarding climb to Viewpoint 3. While Viewpoint 1 is the most popular, this highest point offers an unparalleled perspective that few visitors bother to see, making it a more intimate and spectacular experience. The trail from Viewpoint 2 is slightly more rugged, requiring proper shoes and plenty of water, but every bead of sweat is worth the effort. Reaching the summit feels like a true accomplishment. The view is not just stunning; it's a breathtaking, full 360-degree vista where you can clearly see the distinct separation between Tonsai Bay and Loh Dalum. This famous 'hourglass' shape of the island is never more dramatic than from here, with the turquoise waters lapping at the narrow strip of land below. It's the perfect place to soak in the island's unique geography and enjoy a peaceful moment away from the crowds. Time your visit for sunrise or sunset for truly unforgettable colors. Forget the crowds at the lower spots—Viewpoint 3 is the ultimate destination for the adventurous traveler.

Comparing to Viewpoint 1 and 2 it’s nothing special. The way to the viewpoint is dirty with rubbish. But you can see a bit of Thai village on the other hand. Monkey Beach

Monkey Beach is a unique destination that offers both beauty and adventure, but it comes with its own set of challenges. While the tour experience can be enjoyable, thanks to accommodating guides and well-timed itineraries that allow for exploration of stunning spots like the Lagoon on Phi Phi Leh and snorkeling in Maya Bay, caution is advised at Monkey Beach. This picturesque location does feature playful monkeys that can be entertaining from a distance; however, visitors should remain vigilant as these wild creatures may exhibit aggressive behavior if approached.
Monkey Beach on Phi Phi Island is a one-of-a-kind spot that’s both beautiful and unforgettable. Tucked away in a quiet little cove, it’s most famous for its cheeky macaque monkeys that roam freely and interact with visitors. The real stars of the show here are the monkeys. They’re full of energy, super curious, and pretty entertaining to watch. You’ll see them swinging through trees, running along the sand, and even striking a pose for photos with tourists. Just be mindful—they’re cute, but they’ve definitely got a mischievous side! Aside from the wildlife, the beach itself is stunning. Crystal-clear water, soft sand, and dramatic limestone cliffs make it a perfect spot for both relaxing and exploring. For those up for some adventure, there’s plenty to do—swimming, kayaking, and snorkeling are all great here. The nearby coral reefs are especially fun to explore underwater. We visited Monkey Beach by kayak, renting one from Phi Phi CoCo Beach Resort. Paddling across the calm water to this hidden gem was such a peaceful and fun experience. It felt like time slowed down, and honestly, we could’ve spent the whole day just hanging out there with the monkeys and soaking in the scenery.
Erik E — Google review
Monkey Beach is a truly beautiful slice of Phi Phi, featuring the perfect combination of powdery white sand, dramatic limestone cliffs, and crystal-clear turquoise water. It’s an idyllic spot for swimming and snorkeling, with abundant marine life visible just offshore. The primary attraction, of course, is the resident troop of wild long-tailed macaque monkeys, which are a fascinating sight to observe in their natural habitat. However, a serious note of caution is essential for any visitor. While the monkeys are the highlight, they are wild animals and should be treated with utmost respect and distance. Never, under any circumstances, should you feed the monkeys. Human food is harmful to them and directly leads to aggressive behavior and potential bites, which require immediate medical attention and rabies shots. Furthermore, please be vigilant with all personal belongings. These monkeys are notorious thieves and will snatch anything shiny, loose, or resembling a food container—including water bottles, sunglasses, and bags. Keep everything zipped and secured, preferably in a dry bag, and maintain at least a three-meter distance at all times. Visit early to beat the crowds, observe quietly, and help keep this incredible natural area pristine. The beauty here is undeniable, provided you prioritize safety and respect the wildlife's space.
Arturo Y — Google review
This was a really cool thing to see- the monkeys come out when they know there’s food. I did however want to throw some people in the water that think it’s okay to 1) touch the monkeys or try and pull their tails or 2) splashing water on them. Like leave them alone if you can’t be nice. Some tourists should not be allowed to be tourists. It was a really beautiful area too.
Stephanie S — Google review
picturesquely beautiful like other beaches in the region ! beach is very small with the cliffs starting almost immediately you land. No shops or people other than tourists, but it can get pretty crowded. And yeah you will see a lot of monkeys playing around !
Arnab G — Google review
This is one of the most famous Monkey Beaches, a picturesque cove on the southwestern side of Phi Phi Don Island. It features white sandy beaches, crystal-clear turquoise water, and is home to a population of wild macaque monkeys. Visitors often reach it by long-tail boat or rented kayak from Tonsai Bay and enjoy swimming and snorkeling there.
Khaled M — Google review
Spotlighting the white sands, clear waters and ofcourse it’s monkeys. Monkey beach is comparitavely small, secluded stretch of sand fringed by limestone cliffs. But the monkeys can be aggressive and unpredictable and feeding them is not allowed risk of theft or bites one have to be careful. Monkey Beach is undeniably a highlight of Phi Phi Don- a beautiful and exotic spot where playful macaques bring a wild energy to paradise.
Monalisa G — Google review
Okay, the beach is beautiful, white sands and nice cliffs. However, the monkeys will steal anything you have. We took a canoe and I got my dry bag and my friend her backpack, but my grocery bag was still in the canoe with of course no food. They tore it open anyway (just to find sandals). We stood in the water too terrified to do anything. Also another monkey took a water bottle from another canoe and opened it. To conclude: monkey Beach is nice from a distance or without bag!!
Angelique W — Google review
Monkey Beach in Phi Phi is a unique and delightful experience! The beach is beautiful, with soft white sand and crystal-clear waters perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The highlight, of course, is the playful monkeys that inhabit the area. Watching them in their natural habitat is fascinating and entertaining. Just remember to respect their space and not feed them. The scenery is stunning, and the atmosphere is lively yet relaxing. Monkey Beach is a must-visit for a fun and memorable adventure in the Phi Phi Islands! ♥️

The islands boast well-preserved natural beauty, making them an ideal destination for those seeking an idyllic escape. Snorkeling among vibrant coral reefs and diverse marine life adds an exciting dimension to the visit. Accessible by a seamless boat ride from Krabi, the overall atmosphere is tranquil and serene.
Stunning little piece of paradise. This is the highlight of the 4-island tour. Walking in the sea between both islands and feeling the currents is an experience you should have at least once. Amazing pictures and views from both water and inland. Highly recommended.

These two little islands are connected by a shallow, sandy beach that feels almost magical. The crystal-clear water is absolutely mesmerizing, revealing clean, gleaming sand beneath the sunlight. It’s a picturesque and serene spot, making it a perfect highlight on any island-hopping adventure. A must-visit for beach lovers!

"Tub island" can refer to two different locations: the Tup Island in Krabi, Thailand, known for its sandbar that connects to other islands at low tide, or Bathtub Island in Lake Superior Provincial Park, Ontario, which has a natural basin that fills with water.

Tub Island is an amazing place! The clear waters and vibrant marine life made for the best snorkeling experience—absolutely unforgettable!

I came here with my friends last week. The beach is beautiful and the water is blue and so clean. It's a good spot to go for a snorkeling as there are plenty of fishes swimming near the beach. One of the must go places when you're at Krabi.

Superb place. You can explore around and spend as much time as you want. Cleanliness and hygiene are properly maintained here. Lunch was served by our Team there. Top notch beach and crystal clear water. Poda Island, Chicken Island and the other islands were mind blowing. Highly recommendable. Must visit.

It is part of the seven island tour from Ao Nang, Krabi. Pristine white sands & emerald like crystal clear water makes this place picturesque. You can enjoy snorkeling and scuba diving in the near vicinity. Speedboats usually stop for around 45 minutes in this place. There is a small coffee shop on the island. One of the must visit places in Thailand. It was an amazing experience.

The highlight of this tour is Phra Nang Cave Beach, where visitors can walk to the end of the beach to reach the famous cave.
Poda Island is a beautiful and peaceful getaway with less crowd and a very clean beach. It’s an amazing spot for photo shoots with stunning natural backdrops. The locals are very friendly, making the experience even better. Located about 2 hours from Phuket, you can reach here by speed boat or big boat. A must-visit for those seeking serenity and scenic beauty. ✨🌊

Beautiful beach but you should come early in the morning if you want quiet time and swim. To many longtails and tourists makes you not enjoying this beach. 300 bath for tickets and 200 bath for the national park.

It was amazing experience, I recently visited with friends. We were travel through speed boat. Would suggest you maintain the cleaness. Please check weather before you travel. Overall experience was good. Beach was clean and enjoyed a lot.

The Poda Island, also known as Koh Poda is a beautiful island in South Thailand. It is found just off the coast of Krabi. It’s the largest of four islets in the Poday Group of Islands. What makes it easy to explore is that its near major holiday spots like Ao Nang, Railay Beach and Klong Muang. So you only need a day or half a day tour for you to cover this holiday destination. This islet is heavenly… from the smooth sandy beaches to the clear turquoise sea water that just invites you to jump in, the reefs which are perfect for snorkeling a magnificent backdrop with rock formations, this is a place worth visiting… It’s dreamy I tell you. If you are looking for a place to unwind, then this is the perfect spot.

We went there in our day trip pachage of 7 island tour from krabi. And ko poda was one of most beautiful beach among them. We saw the sunset from here. Did lunch here by the sea. Water was also very clear.

Another stunning island in Krabi! The water here was crystal clear with that dreamy turquoise shade & the beach felt so peaceful compared to the busier spots. The white sand was silky smooth, perfect for just relaxing by the shore and soaking in the view. Definitely one of my favourites from the island tour!

Phra Nang Cave Beach, also known as Phra Nang Beach, is a breathtaking cove that has been recognized as one of the world's most beautiful beaches. It features a picturesque sandy shoreline adorned with sea caves and towering limestone formations. The beach is famous for its sacred cave, which holds significance in local legends about enduring love. Additionally, it is a popular destination for rock climbing enthusiasts, offering training courses and thrilling experiences.
I went here with my friends last week and the beach was beautiful. There was a small Buddhist temple inside the cave near the beach which is quite unique. Love the vibration and it is worth visiting.

✨ Phra Nang Cave Shrine – Where the sea meets the spirit 🌊 Hidden at the edge of Railay Beach in Krabi, this sacred cave tells a story older than time. Locals believe it’s home to Phra Nang, the princess goddess who protects fishermen and grants blessings to those who visit with faith. Colorful offerings, wooden carvings, and the sound of waves create a magical calm inside the limestone cliffs. 🪷 Every corner feels alive with legends and prayers carried by the sea breeze. Here, nature and belief blend into something truly peaceful — a reminder that beauty isn’t just seen, it’s felt. 💫

Kayaked here from railay beach, in about 20mins! Beautiful and secluded, blazed a huge J under some beautifully positioned palm trees etc for some well needed shade. The water was beautiful, clear and warm and definitely worth the kayak trip to this beach! Also possible to explore both the caves at either end of this beach so well worth spending a day here if coming from Ao Nang.

It takes 40 minutes to walk from Railway beach. It is much nicer than Railway beach. Along the way, you get to see some interesting rock formations and there is a rope you can climb (need appropriate footwear, as it is muddy and slippery) but there is a nice viewpoint and a lagoon at the top. Once you arrive at the beach, you can see monkeys and some lizards. People rock climb there too which is interesting to watch

Beautiful beach accessible from Railay East. Caves , rock wall climbing and chilling on Beautiful Phra Nang beach are key attractions. Go early or face massive crowds when securing a spot on the beach. No restrooms Handicap possible. Final take ..RECOMMENDED BUT AGAIN GO EARLY.

Awesome beach. Beautiful fine sand and lovely water. Sheltered in a bay so no big waves really to be concerned about and a great place to either sunbathe or swim. Sunsets are beautiful. Well worth the visit.

Tucked beneath the cliffs of Phra Nang Beach, Krabi, lies one of Thailand’s most mysterious and sacred spots — the Phra Nang Cave Shrine, also known as Princess Cave. Legend says an Indian princess was once shipwrecked here, her spirit now guarding the cave and granting blessings to those who come with faith. Inside, you’ll find hundreds of wooden lingams — offerings symbolizing fertility, prosperity, and safe voyages. The mix of ancient belief, sea breeze, and divine mystery gives this cave an energy you can feel in your bones. 🌊✨ #PhraNangCave #PrincessCave #KrabiThailand #ThaiMythology #SpiritualThailand #FertilityShrine #WondersOfThailand #TravelLegends #KrabiDiaries #ThailandCulture

A quiet beach of your own with few tourists making it a can’t-miss spot in Krabi. This pristine beach stretches afar from famous Pranang Spirit Cave till the end of the beach with high limestone cliffs. Beautiful Soft sand and clear sea water with multicolor green to blue sea will make your day the most relaxing one. Be sure to spend a lot of time lingering leisurely. Railay Beach, accessible only by boat, is a stunning peninsula known for its towering limestone cliffs and picturesque beaches. It's a popular destination for rock climbing and diving enthusiasts. The area offers a range of activities such as island hopping on longtail boats to nearby famous islands like James Bond Island and Maya Bay. Visitors can also explore the Krabi Fossilized Shellfish Cemetery, one of only three in the world, to see millions of years old fossils.
Such a magnificent beach with serene vibe is Railay Beach. If you get time, stay more days and explore surroundings. You can get there by boat only. This land is surrounded by mountains and cliffs. Highly recommended to visit this place and don't miss fireshow at night time.

We booked a ferry from Krabi to Railey Beach. There is a little booth near the docks that sell the tickets and tell you the hours that the ferries run. Once a wooden dragon boat is full it heads out. The boat ride was awesome. Open air and smooth. It was one of my favorite parts island hopping during our trip. When we arrived we wondered until we found a hotel that served breakfast. There was a reasonably priced buffet and we ate there. We spent a few hours at the beach, swimming and enjoying the sun. We saw the rain coming and decided to head to bar and grab a drink. Overall it was a great day, and I highly recommend.

We took long tail boat from Ao Nang at 8:30. We were there before 8:00 but if a group came, they had priority. It was a bit chaotic how the boatmen were organizing the boats. After 30 min we could board. It took 15min and cost 100bhat per person. We were 12 on the boat. When coming back there was 1 more couple waiting. Each of us paid 200 baht and we could go immediately back. West Railay beach is nice with stunning views. Inside the “village” it’s already a bit messy. To go there for 1-day trip ok but I wouldn’t stay there for longer. For cat lovers just check the pictures 😻

Really gorgeous beaches, yummy food, wildlife, and almost everything you need. Cool hippie vibes by the west side. I enjoyed the place and was only there for a few hours. Would love to come back and stay on this side of Krabi for a few days.
Fernanda F — Google review
Beautiful spot. The swim area towards the cliff has a quite rocky bottom and is shallow at low tide. Further towards the boats the bottom has far more sand and is a nicer walk out to swim.

Railay beach is so beautiful. Especially during the sunset days. They have beautiful long tail boats and the scenery looks wonderful. You can get the long tail boats from Ao Nang to Railay Beach at 200 return. Last boat is at 6.30 PM. Get a boat so you will catch the sunset.
Priyanjalaa S — Google review
Gorgeous beach but recommend carrying beach shoes to avoid getting hit by rocks especially when going for a swim. The water is nice and warm and sandy patches are good on the beach.
Shashank K — Google review
The beach is really relaxing with magnificent views. Has lots of stuff to do, do not stay there for 1 day, stay for more. There is so much to do and see. The first priority place that I'll recommend to you if you will go to Krabi. You can only get there by boat. Its a piece of land surrounded by mountains and cliffs. You will need to pay if hotel doesn't provide a free boat to your destination.

Ao Nang Beach is a bustling and popular destination in Krabi province, known for its scenic views of mountains and boats on the horizon. Visitors can enjoy activities such as rock climbing, kayaking, spa treatments, or simply relaxing in hammocks.
Clean stretch of beach with beautiful shells. Great for swimming. Towards the cliff is a good fishing spot. Also a lovely walk along the edge of the cliff to a small cave. The beach runs all along lots of shops.

Well the place gets busy by the night and graceful by the morning but always has a vibe there’s always a good view of islands but sometimes due to high tide you have to skip beach days.

Ao Nang Beach is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. The water is calm, the sand is clean, and the views make it even more stunning. I loved walking along the beach, especially during sunset — the sky looks magical. The area is also very convenient with lots of cafes, restaurants, and shops nearby. Local people are friendly and helpful, making the whole experience even better. A perfect place to relax, take photos, and enjoy the true beauty of Krabi. Highly recommended!

The town is quite peaceful. The beach is located across the town drive. Clean stretch of beach with beautiful shell and the beach is landmark. Loved the location and the scenic beauty. My personal advise is to stay in a hotel closer to beach and night market. You are always in the heart of all activities.

Lots of tourists and touristy stalls; the beach itself wasn’t very nice. The Monkey Trail was good, though, and the sunset view from the beach was nice. Ideal for a one-hour visit during sunset, but nothing more.
Martin S — Google review
Super clean Beach. Minimal tourist at morning time. The road near the beach offers variety of shopping at reasonable prices. The prices are better than Ao Nang night Market. Best time to visit is before 8 am . Amazing views at the beach.

Ao Nang Beach in Krabi offers an absolutely fantastic experience that makes it a must-visit location. It truly is a beach for all hours, combining stunning daytime relaxation with vibrant evening excitement. During the day, the beach is perfect for soaking up the sun and enjoying the clear waters. The conditions are excellent for swimming, offering a refreshing escape from the tropical heat. As the sun sets, the atmosphere transforms into something magical. I highly recommend taking a long night walk along the sand, where the air is relaxed and the view is spectacular. The highlight of the evening is definitely the mesmerizing fire show performances that light up the beach—it’s a great way to truly feel the vibrant Thai atmosphere. Beyond the beach itself, the proximity to the bustling night market is a major draw. You can easily transition from the beach to enjoying delicious street food and browsing local goods. Overall, Ao Nang Beach provides a great, comprehensive experience, and spending time here, day or night, is highly recommended.

Wat Tham Suea Krabi is a vast temple complex nestled in the lush jungle, renowned for its impressive gold Buddha statue and extensive cave network. Situated 9km northwest of Krabi Town, this sprawling hill and cave temple complex makes for an excellent day trip. The entrance leads to a challenging 1260-step staircase that ascends to a 600m karst peak.
Tiger Cave Temple – A Spiritual and Scenic Gem in Krabi 🌄🙏 Tiger Cave Temple is one of the best places to visit in Krabi. It’s not just a temple but a place full of spiritual meaning and history. The temple itself is at the base, and up the hill is the famous cave with a magnificent Buddha statue. The climb is 1300 steps, which can be challenging at first, but taking it slowly makes it manageable. Once at the top, the effort is completely worth it — the view of Krabi from the summit is absolutely breathtaking. 💡 Tip: Beware of monkeys along the path — they are mischievous! Avoid carrying large bags or loose food. This place offers a perfect mix of spiritual reflection, history, and incredible natural scenery. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Krabi who enjoys adventure, culture, and meditation. 🐅✨
Kanchan V — Google review
Spacious parking and toilet available at the entrance. Entry costs 50 TBT per person. The temple looks amazing, those colours, symmetries, fascinating. The stairs are tough, 309 meters up in 600 meters, very steep with tall stairs. There is toilet along the way as well. The view from the top is amazing, definitely worth the effort. There is free water waiting for you at the bottom of the stairs, courtesy of the temple.

Keep in mind that the sun goes down by 6:15pm. We got to the bottom at 6:30pm and they had locked it. Even though there were still people up top. It’s not impossible to jump over the side fence, but if you are going to take awhile to get down because of your fitness level, consider that you will have to jump the fence a bit if you’re locked in. Worth the steps. My husband and I did it in 16-17 mins. We are both fit and were still breathing hard. It’s only hard because the steps are steep and some are taller than others. We went on a rainy day too so the heat didn’t ruin it. Beautiful view, very peaceful. Went on a Wednesday in October We saw a lot of water bottles left around at the top and we dumped them and recycled them. There is a bucket for them. Please don’t be those people that bring garbage and leave garbage up there. There were no staff when we were up top.

Wat Tham Suea (Tiger Cave Temple) Review: Great View After a Hard Climb Wat Tham Suea is a temple visit where you must climb a mountain. To get to the top, you walk up 1,260 stairs (309 meters). The stairs are not all the same. Some parts are easy, some are medium, and some parts are very hard and steep. It is a real challenge for your legs! But when you finish the climb and reach the top, it is truly worth it. You will see a very large, beautiful golden Buddha statue. The view of the green jungle and big rock mountains (KRABI) is amazing. This feeling of seeing the idol and the beautiful scene makes the hard climb worthwhile.
Mausam K — Google review
The trek has very steep steps all the way to the top, so I wouldn’t recommend it for elders or young kids. There are over 1200 steps, and completing the climb and returning can be challenging if you’re on a tight schedule of a tour package. However, we managed to finish the round trip in about 1.5 hours. Overall, a rewarding experience but definitely demanding—plan accordingly!
Jishnu R — Google review
It’s an amazing place located at the top of a mountain. You need to climb over 1,260 steps to reach it . quite tough, but definitely worth it for the experience. You’ll enjoy breathtaking views of the Krabi mountains. It’s highly recommended for those who love peace, nature, and spiritual vibes. The temple provides free drinking water. So, carry a bottle with you . you can refill it before and after the climb. It’s a must-visit spot, not far from the Krabi bus terminal.
S S — Google review
The views from the top are fantastic! That is, if you can reach the very top of the observation deck with the large Buddha statue. You'll have to climb 1,256 steps. If you're not in good shape, the climb will be very challenging. At times, the steps are very steep, almost vertical, and the height can reach up to 40 cm. But if you can climb all 1,256 steps, the stunning views will be worth it! The descent is also challenging!
Виктор Р — Google review
Views are amazing at the top, even in wet weather. The stairs are no joke though, so wear appropriate footwear and clothing. Took us about 30 mins to get to the top. The temple at the bottom is quite impressive as well.

Nature & Parks
Ko Yao Yai is the largest island in the Ko Yao Archipelago, located just 20 minutes east of Phuket in Phang Nga Bay. While it may not be the most visually stunning or bustling with activity, it offers a unique cultural charm and is relatively untouched by tourists. The island is predominantly Muslim with some Buddhist influence, reflected in local customs and architecture.
Wonderful island, some tourism, but not at all overdeveloped yet. I see people complain about roads and I think it’s ok. Drive fairly slowly 40-50 km and stay focused.
Thomas O — Google review
When we entered the island our guide said welcome to paradise and I think that's the best way to describe it. It's a perfect place to rest and swim. There's a bar you can buy a drink, they're toilets and showers. I really enjoyed my visit.
Anna S — Google review
Beautiful island but hotel/resorts prices are just crazy even in very low season.
K M — Google review
There are a lot of activity here. The sea is very clear. During the day it is vary hot but can solve this problem by the coconut milk or other juice on the island. In the evening, there are many place that you can see the sunset such as Loh Jark Beach. But I recommend to go to Loh Pared beach because there are a lot of restaurants that you eat some food before or after seeing the sunset and there also have many shops that you can buy swimsuits before going to the sea. In addition to the very beautiful view, you can also learn about their culture such as fishing, etc.
Thanakon N — Google review
Ideal for those looking for peace and quiet. Activities, jet skiing, snorkelling, boat trips to nearby islands and James Bond islands. There are times when it's almost impossible to swim at Lo Pared beach because it's filled with thousands of tiny jellyfish that sting your whole body, making it uncomfortable to be in the water, especially in January and February. The best beach for swimming, snorkelling and monkey watching at the end of the day is Au Moang beach in the south of the island... superb. In the north of the island, because the beaches are almost all mangroves, it's almost impossible to swim, and there's the needle fish that's buried in the ground and when it stings, you get really sick for a few weeks. To swim in the north of the island you have to go to Sandbank beach and swim in the direction of Koh Yao Noi, the neighbouring island to Koh Yao Yai. You can see that the corals on the beaches are being destroyed by the mooring of all kinds of boats. Devastating for public health and the environment is that the population burns plastics mixed with coconuts, herbs and leaves, making the island's air saturated and foul-smelling. Relatively cheap island in general, friendly and pleasant people, good hotels and restaurants, good regional sweets. Before we only saw motorbikes, today we are invaded by cars and jeeps driving along these roads with poor infrastructure. If you're looking for a cure for your bones, rheumatism, blood circulation and other ailments, you should visit Dr Saad, an old, half-blind man who works small or large miracles on your body with an ancient Thai massage called "haille"... I recommend it. I really like this island and the people.
Anabela B — Google review
Fantastic island, perfect if you are travelling as a couple wanting to relax and enjoy some amazing beaches. The best way to get around the island is by moped which is pretty safe as there is hardly any traffic on the roads. I still cannot believe that we had the beach all to ourselves.
Calella R — Google review
Do your research before you come here. The island is very rustic and peaceful. Many beaches are rocky and turn into tidal flats on low tide. If you want to hang out on the beach chair outside your hotel, this is your place. Do not trust hotel brochures as the beach access goes.
Mark W — Google review
If you enjoy the nature and not crowded places, you should go. Very nice island, great nature. Before visiting check a tide app so you won't be disappointed. At 2 o' clock afternoon, low tide happens and you won't find any place to swim unless you book a hotel with swimming pool. You can find also other attractions in low tide time, viewpoints, some jungle walking and exploring the island. Not giving 5 stars because low tide reveals a muddy dirty beach with plastic and broken glass everywhere. When you go on the beach, don't forget to take your garbage with you, because of people that don't do that, the beaches are often full of leftovers and garbage. Not nice. You can also see nice sunsets if you go on the east side of the island. The nicest beach that I've seen (i didn't see all of them) is on the left side and right side of the Loh Yak Pier and doesn't seem to be affected that much of low tide. P. S. You need a car or motorbike for a better experience.
